There were a lot of things Yūki expected when he went to Vale tonight. Like maybe bumping into an old friend, getting nothing because all of the shops, both dust and general, would be closed at this time, accidentally getting involved in a fist fight because of a drunkard, many things really. And out of all of them, he didn't expect that he…

Would find himself watching a girl, who shared his taste in fashion, absolutely destroying three fully grown men in combat with a scythe that he was pretty sure should have been very difficult to wield considering the girl's petite frame. Oh, and a guy with a bowler hat and a cane was there too, he forgot who that guy was because he was mostly thinking about the girl's fighting prowess. The way she used her scythe was oddly familiar… He had seen a lot of fighters on his little trip around Remnant but the way she moved her scythe and her well movements in general were similar to someone that he and his mother bumped into at- He was suddenly brought out of his thoughts when a piece of debris was sent flying to him and hit him square on the face which both disoriented him and sent him back a few steps. That hurt, while Aura did take away the chance of severe injury, it didn't do anything to mitigate the pain.

He managed to regain his bearings right just in time to see the girl in red go up to the roof of a building. Ok, while the girl was good enough to take on, from what he saw earlier, at least 3 fully grown men, he just had to help her, now that he snapped out of focusing on the girl's fighting at least. Why would he help a stranger in a fight that didn't involve him? Simple, it's because helping other people out is the responsibility of a Huntsman, and he plans to stick by that code for a long time.

He pulled the hood of his jacket up and put on a full face skull mask to hide his identity, just in case things get hectic and that he suddenly becomes a target for the criminal underworld, then he pulled out his combat knife, formerly used by his father, and threw it to the roof of the building, he used his Semblance, [Weapon Warp, teleporting to where the knife was, which was still in the air, and now back in his hands.

He saw the bowler hat guy, who was now in a bullhead and how he didn't hear the bullhead from the ground earlier was beyond him, was he getting a bit rusty? Anyways, the bowler hat guy shouted something he didn't quite hear and threw a rather large red dust crystal at the girl in red. He threw his knife just a fraction of a second after the crystal, he was aiming right next to the girl and before the knife lands, he warps to it just in time to pull the girl in red away from what he assumed would be an explosion waiting to happen.

To which he was right as the bowler hat guy fired a flare from his cane at the dust crystal. Well, this is gonna hurt, but at least he got to help, even if just a little bit. He closed his eyes and braced for the inevitable pain that will come from being near ground zero of an explosion.

But it never came. I mean he felt the shockwave and heard the sound of the explosion, and also the bowler hat guy's laugh, but he didn't feel any burning pain on his body. He slowly opened his eyes. And saw a huntress who blocked the explosion with what looked like a giant glyph, Also who is this- oh boy… blonde hair, riding crop, slightly vampiric outfit with a cape, yeah, it's Glynda Goodwitch, he had the pleasure of meeting her during the entrance exam for Beacon. Suffice to say, he and the girl would probably be in trouble, especially the girl if Ms. Goodwitch was informed of the events.

Ms. Goodwitch fixed her glasses before flicking her riding crop towards the bullhead, firing what looked to be balls of plasma which made it rock all over the place, which caused the bowler hat guy to retreat into the cockpit. Then she flicked her riding crop once more and launched a ball of purple light directly above the bullhead, which made a glyph that conjured up a storm, and made it hail large, and presumably sharp ice.

The bullhead rocked once more and once it corrected itself a figure walked to the cargo hold. He couldn't make out the finer details of the figure, all that he can make out was that it was a woman in a red dress, and from what little he could see, he'd just take a guess and say she had black hair, probably. Then, patterns on the woman's dress begin to glow…

Yeah he knows what's gonna happen next, fireball.

The woman on the bullhead releases a fireball at them.

Called it.

Ms. Goodwitch blocks the fireball which caused the projectile to explode into small shards, and a swift movement from the fire lady caused the shards to glow bright orange.

Yeah… no. He kicked his knife forwards from the ground and [Warped] to its location, once he did he almost got hit in the face with small debris, luckily Ms. Goodwitch collected all of the debris and formed a giant ass spike and fired it at the bullhead.

The fire lady shot more fireballs at the spike which caused it to scatter and be pushed back, but it didn't last that way for long because now it returned to it's spike form and launched itself at the bullhead's cockpit.

Which the bullhead then countered by tilting itself to the left and once again scattering them. Which Ms. Goodwitch also countered by splitting the spike into three different more snake-like ones that began to circle the bullhead.

And was rendered useless when a shockwave, most likely from the fire lady, caused the debris to turn into embers.

He heard the sound of something transforming behind him and turned to inspect. He saw the girl in red turn her pretty massive scythe into an equally big sniper rifle, at least, that's what he thought it was. It was until the girl fired a round at the bullhead and cocked another that he found out that he was right, it was a sniper.

He whipped his head towards the bullhead, only to see the fire lady block all of the shots from the girl in red. With her bare hands for crying out loud. He would have helped, but you can only do so much with a knife, and he was pretty sure that if he threw his knife at the woman, she'd melt the thing before it even reached her.

The cargo doors began to close as the bullhead flew away. He sighed, Bad guys 1, Good guys 0.

"You're a huntress." He heard a young voice, which most definitely belonged to the girl in red, say.

… He should probably get out of here as soon as possible. So he grabbed his knife and tossed it down the building. 'Sorry little Red, but you're on your own. Goodwitch isn't someone I want to be around with when I do something stupid.' He thought.

"Can I have your autograph!" It was the last thing he heard before [Warping] down and disappearing into the night.

He walked back to Vale's residential district and entered his home, a simple apartment that he shared with his mom, Rouge Muramasa. Once he closed the door he took off his boots and went to the kitchen to get a bite to eat. His mom was still awake and was watching her favorite late night show on TV. "I'm home." He said loud enough so she actually knows that he's home.

"Welcome home sweety, did you get the stuff you needed?" She asked, keeping her eyes on her show.

"No, all of the shops were closed, the last one I went to just closed their doors the moment I saw it." He told the truth, he just altered it to not involve the crazy fight he saw and subsequently joined, even for just a moment. He opened the fridge and grabbed some leftover pizza.

She sighed. "Told you so, should have waited until tomorrow to get all of the dust you need, I kept reminding you for years that going out late at night to buy stuff is stupid, there aren't that many shops that stay open past 9:30 after all, those are usually reserved for 24 hour mini marts and clubs." Then she turned off the TV and stretched, popping a few vertebrae before turning towards her son, who was putting the pizza in the microwave. "And I'll be joining you tomorrow. I need to make a stop at UBW, if you're gonna ask why, it's for your new quiver and a bunch of new arrows."

He sighed and set the timer to 45 seconds and turned the microwave on. "Alright mom. Just please, please tell me that you had the arrows made according to my designs, I pretty much need as many arrows as I can get, and the collapsible designs that I made can help with that. And we have more than enough of that lightweight metal that you love so much."

The microwave began beeping. He opened it and pulled out his pizza, which was warm instead of hot like he wanted, might need to fix that sometime in the future. He picked up a slice and ate it.

She sighed. "I did. If only you didn't carry so many simple weapons we wouldn't have this problem, then again… I heavily dislike transforming weapons, no matter how versatile some may be."

He smiled. "Yeah, true." He finished eating the pizza and grabbed a glass of water and drank it. "I'm going to bed, walking around Vale this late at night takes a small toll on the legs." He put the glass in the sink before walking to his room. But not before giving his mom a quick hug. "Night mom." Now he went to his room.

She covered her mouth with her hand trying to hide the small giggle that escaped her lips. "I guess I raised him well, huh Shirou?" She asked no one in particular. She sighed, but continued. "He'll be the best of us, of that I know. He is after all our child, Sora can be the same. But I fear that he's too far gone to save… I miss you, Shirou. Wherever you are, know that I'm still here, waiting." She stood up and left for her bedroom, turning off all of the lights on the way.

His name is Yūki Miyamoto, 17 years old, a soon to be huntsman in training if he manages to pass initiation, and right now, he, He!

Was just checking his reflection on the Airship's windows. For some reason.

He wore simple black clothing underneath his dark grey body armor, same dark grey greaves and bracers with metal rods to act as plates, steel plated boots, a red waist cape, open at the front and split at the back, tied together by a red belt that held his quiver and pouches that were filled with small throwing knives, a red half cape with a hood, and a red bandana wrapped around his head. With all of the red and black, his eyes and hair along with the empty look that he, for reasons he won't bring up, has on at all times, he looks more like a villain than a huntsman really. But that doesn't matter to him, if he has to play the role of a villain to save people then so be it.

He was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of loud conversations, particularly the one coming from the blonde with long hair, talking to a girl in red. Wait, no, they're actually the ones talking pretty loud.

'Wait, why did the girl in red seem familiar, and she looked particularly young to be attending Beacon. Wait, maybe she just looks young but is actually the same age as everyone else. And why were they talking about knees? I should really stop doing the eavesdropping routine in these situations.' He was once again brought out of his thoughts, this time, by the news.

"The robbery was led by the nefarious criminal, Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities, if you have any information about his whereabouts please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you Lisa."

'Huh, so that was Torchwick from last week. Oh ok, now I know why the girl in red was familiar. And probably explains why she's at Beacon, Professor Ozpin probably let her in after she foiled Torchwick's plans. Plus I didn't see her at the entrance exams so that just confirms the theory.

"Thank you Cyril. In other news, this saturday's faunus civil rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony, the once peaceful organization has now disrupted-'' The news was cut off, and a hologram image of Ms. Goodwitch appears in its place.

Shame, he wanted to watch the news some more. His mom is probably watching it right now, so he'll have to ask her about it later.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon." The hologram said.

"Who's that?" I heard the blonde ask. She must have had another teacher handle her in the entrance exam.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy, our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it."

'I'm gonna bet that there will be someone here who will actively disturb said peace.' He thought.

"You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." And with that said, the hologram fades away.

He sighed and sat down at one of the seats. 'This is it.' He thought to himself. 'Practically ten years of rigorous training, fighting, and meditation, all of it, just to get here. I wonder if dad would be proud of me… probably.' He pulled out his scroll and earphones and plugged them in to play some music. He had a few minutes before getting to Beacon anyways so he's just gonna listen to music until then.

Now… which song should he- Ah! There we go.

AN: And that is done. Probably didn't write this chapter as well as I'd hope, but it's the best that I can do for now. Next chapter would probably be longer or shorter, most likely the former. And some characters might be OOC since I'm still getting a grasp of what I want. This story might be an AU but I ain't really sure myself. And this is the first time I posted something here on so yeah. Anyways, till next chapter y'all!
