Hello dear readers.
I'm sorry to disappoint you with a notification when there's no chapter today. But I felt I had to make an update at this point. Recent reviews and PM's have made it very obvious people still give a damn about this little tale of mine.
As I have explained to those of you who have contacted me, I have put this story on hold. Not just because I'm more busy than ever at the moment, but because I'm actually in the process of writing a novel of my own.
Whenever I have a bit of free time nowadays, I write on that, which have left me with no time for this story. That is not to say I won't get back to Legacy Ascending, I'm not finished with Naruto yet. And although I can now see many glaring mistakes with the way I handled certain characters, motivations and etc in this story, I feel it would be a disservice to you, my faithful readers, not to continue it.
After all, your helpful critic of my work has really helped me improve my craft. I'm very grateful for that.
For those of you actually interested in the book - probably no one but whatever - It's a fantasy epic. The 300 K word type. Tentatively called "The Last Guide". It's set in a world where magic has "died out", but it's effect on the world is still very much a thing. Certain parts of the continent have what you might call a serious wildlife problem. And in order to safely travel through these very dangerous areas, guides are enlisted. The story is written from the perspective of one such guide.
The book is still a pipedream at the moment. But I feel like I have a solid story on my hands, even if it's in the early stages right now.
So, I hope you understand why I haven't posted any updates to Legacy Ascending for over a year now, and I'm very sorry to those of you who came here through their notifications only to find a long A/N and no chapter.
I promise to continue this piece of fiction someday. Until then, I wish you folks the very best.
The Epic Pen.
