Chapter 18
"You are my sister, why couldn't I know that?" Percy asked.
"It's not like you couldn't, as you see you knew it. I had no idea that you didn't remember, I thought it was weird that you never mention meting me once you found out about the camp and all, but I never knew that you had close up your memories." I explained.
"But why not telling me even if I didn't remember?" He asked.
"Zeus was very clear. I couldn't tell anyone, with you I could only confirm it. Apollo was ready to share it if I had not stopped him." I replied.
"Why didn't you let him." Percy said.
"There is a bigger reason to why who my father is it's kept a secret." I explained.
"It was to do with the prophecy you talked about?" He asked.
"Correct. As you can see I am the daughter of one of the big tree, and even though I was not part of the first prophecy that you had to go through." I told him.
"Wait that is true, and you older than any of us. You were around 15 when I first meet you no? Then why weren't you part of that prophecy?" He asked surprised.
"The prophecy involving my birth excludes me for any other. I know it is weird." I said.
"Why did you come all those years back, and then never again?" Percy questioned.
"I came to protect you, and went I went back, and because of what happen, Zeus didn't allow me to come back until he though it was time for my prophecy to finally start to unveil." I explained. "Still I tried to send some help, it wasn't something easy when you have all eyes on you."
"Is that why I'm not dead yet?" He joked.
"No, that's all you, and well Annabeth." I said.
"Your weapon." He said pointing to my necklace.
"The trident?" I said.
"Yeah, I though it belonged to Triton." He continued.
"It does, the necklace is just a way for me to call it when I need it." I explained. "That's why I don't use it that often."
"What happens when you use it?" he asked eyes wide open.
"It disappears from where never Triton as it. Apollo and I used to call it just to annoy Triton, until father begged me to stop it because he was running out of excuses to say to Triton why he had call the trident. And yes, Triton doesn't know about me either." I explained.
"Oh man, I can believe I did not see those things happening." He complained.
"Percy, you know you still can't tell anyone who I am right?" I told him
"Why not?" He asked.
"Keeping that information, a secret is somehow an advantage for me." I explained.
"I see. But what are you going to do if someone else finds out?" He inquired.
"I can't do nothing. And it will be pure speculation until someone confirms it." I said. "I can tell you for sure that Calypso knows."
"You told her?" He asked.
"No, she can see the markings on my arms, and she knows about the prophecy. Seeing me she just connected the dots." I explained.
"Even back then I couldn't see the markings you talk about." He said.
"You will eventually see them, so don't worry to much about it." I told him.
"But, what are they?" He asked.
"They represent the Olympic Gods. Father's symbol is here." I told him pointing to my chest where the symbol was. "The others are all around my arms. I, myself don't know what they all represent. I was told that some are simple gifts, and others are blessings. I know for example that Zeus symbol is a mix of both, since his lighting is so fat the only thing that can stop me if I lose control over my own powers."
"I thought the Gods were very restrict with blessing and gifts." Percy commented.
"Oh, they are. If I was just any other halfblood, nothing of this would have had happen. But with the prophecy taunting them, they saw it as a win for them. A reassurance that I would overcame whatever is trying to stop them." I explained. "I know more a less what all of them mean, expect the one from Hades. He never told me or anyone what his symbol was." I said while my hand touch Hades marking on top of my shoulder.
"IS that the reason why Nico couldn't take out any names out of his list?" Percy asked.
"That. No, like I said, I was train by all of them. So, I kind of go around all the main things that are specific to them." I told him.
"Not sure if I'm jealous or relieved that I didn't get that type of training." He commented.
"Be glad. The train you got is more than enough." I told him. "The only good thing I got from that was using it against them when I was bored."
"You aren't staying here much, longer are you?" Percy asked.
"I can't. I need to go and find the information I need and defeat them. Otherwise this will not end." I replied.
"Let me help you." He said.
"I can't let you do that, for more than one reason." I started. "You already went through too much. I can't put you or the other in more danger."
"You really think is going to be that dangerous?" He questioned.
"They are self-made Gods. And they already start to do some damage, I have no idea what might happen." I told him.
"You should try and find out what is the full prophecy, for sure it would help a little." He suggested.
"I'm not sure I want to know. Prophecies are sometimes misleading." I said.
"I know that more than anyone, but they still help Ula." He told me.
"I will consider it." I said.
I knew that he was right about that, but the little pieces I knew from the prophecy I wasn't sure if I was ready to find out the rest. After all, Zeus decided to hide it for some reason. However, what if I really needed to know what the rest of the prophecy was so that I could put an end to this quest?
