"That took foreeeevvvveeerrr..." Koko whined as she groggily stumbled out of the studio. The translator, Evelyn, and the archeologist, Fran, were waiting in the lobby for the food critic to finish the final shoot of Supremechef for the day. They stretched from their seats and ran over to greet Koko and drag her out of the building. It was around 8:00 in the evening, and they were heading out to grab food and return to the hotel.

"Koko, you look absolutely terrible," Evelyn gave her a sympathetic look. "We had to wait for almost five hours. What happened in there?"

Koko groaned as she facepalmed to herself. The bags under her eyes are overly present. "One guy was about to burn the whole studio down because he forgot that he had the stove on... I mean really? These people are amateur cooks but come on!"

Fran giggled and gave Koko a pat on the back. "At least you're done now! C'mon, let's grab some grub before we head back."

Koko's eyes lit up. "WcMonalds!?"

Evelyn lightly smacked Koko on the head. "No. Bad. We're going to a restaurant. No more fast-food chains for you young chica," she scolded, causing the ginger to pout. "Look, I care about you, and I know you need convenience for your busy schedule, but you need something more substantial."

The archeologist tilted her head towards the translator and smirked. "Oh? When I came over to your house one day, you were scarfing down chicken nuggets from WcMonalds at three in the mor-."

"Waah! You remember that!?" Evelyn cried as she swung her arms at Fran as she leaned away to avoid all attempts at assault. Koko couldn't help but snort a bit as Evelyn's face grew redder from embarrassment, who eventually gave up and began to mutter swears in Italian under her breath.

On the rest of the way to the restaurant, they told jokes and make small talk with each other, laughing and giggling in the process. Most of the teasing went to Evelyn, who blushed bright red when she realized. Koko and Fran loved Evelyn's little mannerisms when she was flustered: twirling her hair, puffing out her cheeks, even switching to other languages when she fumbled with her words. The critic and archeologist eyed each other and exchanged a smile. Cute... they both thought simultaneously.

"We're here!" Fran gestured as they approached the restaurant. It was a quaint little diner, with the classic colored lights displaying the diner's name. It reminded Koko of her family's restaurant back home.

"Does anyone have the menu pulled up on their phone?" Evelyn asked. "I kind of want to order quickly so we can sleep early. We have to be at the airport by four in the morning!"

"Got it," Fran answered. She held up her phone with the diner's website pulled up. It displayed multiple comfort foods such as hearty soups, pasta, meats, and salads. The trio nodded to each other and pushed open the glass doors.

Immediately as they entered, a waitress greeted them with enthusiasm. "Welcome! Table for three?" she greeted as she grabbed the menus.

"Yes, thank you!" Koko smiled cheerfully. They were directed to a booth on the other side of the diner. The waitress passed out their menus and took their drink orders before walking away.

"Thank you so much for flying to America with me," Koko sighed as she plopped her head onto the table. "I always go alone, and my manager finally allowed me to bring some company for one trip. Seriously guys, thank you..."

Evelyn chuckled. "No problema! As your gir- as your friend of course I wanted to travel with you!"

Fran began to second take herself with what she heard. Does she like her? Fran shook her head and smiled. "We're always here to be there for you, Koko!"

Koko sighed again, this time in relief, and reached out her hands for her friends to hold. They returned the gesture excitedly. "I love you guys so much..."

The translator and archeologist took time for that statement to process. Their minds start to scatter into nervous thoughts as they hid their blush, thinking that the food critic meant that platonically. "N-No problem," they murmured.

A half an hour later, their food arrived. Evelyn ordered a simple club sandwich with tomato soup, Fran ordered a classic steak and mashed potatoes, and Koko ordered a baked mac and cheese. They thanked the waitress for the food and began to eat.

For some reason, an awkward tension loomed around the trio. The delicious food certainly didn't help either. Their hearts began to beat faster and faster, never calming down. They all have become such great friends after meeting each other from the HFH Enterprise space tour that they have become inseparable best friends, possibly even more than that. They were all nervous to confess their feelings to each other, worried that their crushes would think of it as weird or unorthodox.

After what seemed like an eternity, they had finished their dinner. Koko offered to pay for the meal, to which Evelyn and Fran immediately protested. Amidst all the arguing, Fran had slipped her credit card into the waitress' hands without the other two knowing. Koko and Evelyn noticed too late and yelled at Fran before mumbling angrily, causing Fran to laugh hysterically. It's good to know that an argument about who would pay broke the awkward silence.

"Sorry about that guys, but y-your reactions were hilarious!" Fran gasped in some air from laughing as they exited the diner.

"Fran! All of the money spent on my card would've been paid for by my company anyways!" Koko crossed her arms. "You didn't have to do that!"

The archeologist scratched her cheek and let out one last giggly breath. "Sorry, it seemed like it was appropriate! Y'know, with the awkwardness and stuff."

"..I have to admit it, your timing was cooked to perfection."

"Eyy, back at it again with the cooking puns, Koko Loco?"

"Hehe, I guess so!" Koko pointed out some finger guns. "Just dill with it!" Evelyn stifled a pity laugh to save that bad joke.

"Haaah... So tired..." Evelyn and Koko whined, sprawled out on the hotel bed.

"Quit complaining," Fran sighed, just starting to blow dry her hair. "You'll be even more tired when you guys wake up tomorrow."

"And we'll have to go our separate ways after the plane ride..." Koko said sadly. They lived in completely different places, and they wouldn't be able to see each other until winter break. "I don't want you guys to leave."

Evelyn turned her limp body over to Koko and gave her a one-armed hug. "I know, but we'll be able to voice chat often! We'll see each other again!" The critic returned the hug wholeheartedly.

"Hey! Maybe I can request you guys accompany me again the next time I go on a work trip!" Koko suggested before her smile faltered. "Oh, wait... The next trip is a worldwide tour, so I can't bring you guys. Dang it!"

Fran chuckled. "Thanks for the effort, Koko."

The archeologist turned off the blowdryer at the scene of the hug. They're so adorable, she thought. A year has passed as they are still the same goofballs she remembered. But the sudden realization hit her. That's right, they'll be going their separate ways after their flight. Evelyn and Koko are taking a different layover flight to their hometowns, and she'll be left all alone on her own layover flight. Her heart screamed at her, begging for her feelings to be released to be too late. Fran took a deep breath. There's no going back now.

"Hey, I have something to tell y'all..."

Evelyn and Koko broke from their embrace and turned their heads up from the bed. "What is it, Frannie?" Evelyn asked tiredly.

Now that she had their attention, she ran up to the girls and jumped onto them as hard as she could. The bed creaked and groaned in protest, but Fran didn't care if she broke the bed into two, she didn't care if she smashed through the whole floor.

"I love you! I love you guys from the bottom of my hearts Iloveyouguyssomuch! ButIknowit'sweirdtolovetwopeoplebutyouguysareprecioustomeand-."

"Woah! Easy! Slow down!" Koko giggled. "I love you guys too!"

Fran shook her head violently, tears welling up in her eyes. "You don't understand! I love you guys romantically! W-Well, between us girls, I know it's natural for girlfriends to say 'I love you', but I-I..."

Fran got interrupted by two, soft lips pressing up on her left and right cheeks. She jumped in surprise and covered her cheeks with her cold hands. Koko and Evelyn beamed at the flustered girl and sat upon the now given up bed.

"Finalement! I'm so glad someone said it," Evelyn said. "I was too nervous to confess my feelings to you guys. Thanks for taking the initiative, Fran!"

Koko closed her eyes happily and leaned her head onto Evelyn's shoulder. "Honestly, never thought I'd see the day that someone confesses my feelings for me!"

Fran looked back and forth between the two in shock. She knew they had some chemistry, but for them to accept her confession this easily?

"Wait... So you guys had feelings for me too?"

"Yeah! I fell in love with you and Evelyn since we first became friends," Koko replied. "To be honest, I was worried that you guys would find it weird! I'm glad I'm not the only one!"

Evelyn blushed. "Ehehe, guess we were all afraid... F-Fran?"

The archeologist reached for her face to realize that the tears wouldn't stop. Why wouldn't they stop? Was she sad? No. These were happy tears. Fran laughed as she wiped them away from her eyes. "I'm so happy-" sniff "-I love you two-" sniff "-so much!"

Evelyn and Koko exchanged glances and hugged Fran as tight as possible. Fran hesitated before embracing them both.

"...How about we sleep in the same bed tonight? This can be counted as our first date?" Fran smirked.

"Sounds like a plan!" Evelyn eagerly tucked herself in, followed by Koko and Fran.

Koko planted a kiss on both Evelyn and Fran before snuggling herself between the two. "You guys have really made my trip worthwhile. Let's never be apart ever again."

Evelyn removed her glasses and rested her head on one of the pillows. "Gute Nacht... Love you."

Fran beamed and turned off the lights. "Love you guys too."
