23.

It was currently Friday evening and Levi was sitting in his dorm waiting for Farlan to come back from his meeting with his college advisor. They had all been given one 3 months into the academic year, Levi had been given Hanji, so naturally he hadn't turned up to a single one of the meetings yet. Still, Farlan seemed to like them. So here Levi was, sitting on the edge of his bed, waiting for the blonde, tapping his foot nervously. He was going to tell him tonight, Levi decided it was time. It was clear Harlow wasn't over the moon about how they had to behave during the day, although she wasn't pushing him to say anything or even voicing her discomforts. The girl was being really amazing about it all and that was what gave Levi the final push to man up and talk to his friend. Still that didn't mean he didn't feel like he was about to shit his pants.

The week had gone past roughly similar to the day after Levi and Harlow had confessed to each other. They had to act normal and barely look at each other. Every now and then they were able to sneak off somewhere together, either before a lesson or after but it wasn't enough. Farlan was constantly stealing Harlow away and talking to her and Levi had to let him. It was practically torture and after a week, Levi had taken enough of it. He hated not seeing the brat as much as he wanted to, and he hated acting cold towards her. Sure, they met up in the forest when they could, but exams were coming up and they were both exhausted from all the extra work given so their nightly chats only ever lasted an hour tops. Levi hated it and needed to end it. Now. His insomnia was getting worse every night he lied to the blonde.

Levi was pulled out of his thoughts by sounds of keys jingling outside the door. Levi's eyes widened in panic and he stood up straight just in time as Farlan walked through the door. This was it. Now or never.

"Farlan, I have to talk-" Levi started, before Farlan cut him off.

"Give me a minute to get changed and we'll head over." Farlan said, opening his wardrobe and taking out some clothes. Levi cocked his head in confusion. Where we're they going? Farlan turned to look at Levi and eyed him up and down. "Is that how your going? You know its smart-casual dress, right?" Farlan said. Levi was starting to get annoyed now. Did his friend hit his head on the way over here?

"What the fuck are you going on about?" Levi asked in an irritated tone. Farlan looked him before sighing and pinching the brim of his nose. The action only helping to fuel Levi's annoyance.

"You forgot, didn't you. Levi, I told you about this party at the beginning of the week. I even asked if you were listening and you said yes. Guess I should have known you were ignoring me though since you didn't have any objections." Farlan sighed, throwing the clothes on his bed before moving to Levi's wardrobe and going through it. Levi watched him in utter confusion. Party? Did he really ignore them that much that he didn't know about a party for a whole week? Or was the blonde lying and didn't mention it to him at the last minute so Levi would have less chance of objecting. Levi's money was on the latter.

"What party? And hey! Don't go sorting through there, you'll mess up my organisation." Levi glared. Farlan ignored his aggression and threw him a pair of black skinny jeans, a white V- neck and a black sports coat. Levi caught them easily but was still looking for Farlan to answer the question.

"Izzy's throwing a party in her dorm." Farlan explained, almost falling over while trying to slip a leg into his trousers. Levi rolled his eyes at his friend's clumsiness and this ridiculous 'party'. Also why didn't Harlow mention it to him? They met up in the woods enough for her to tell him they were throwing a party in her fucking dorm room.

"That's stupid. You're going to get caught." Levi replied nonchalantly sitting back down on his bed. Farlan pulled off his shirt before replying.

"There's a reason the party's tonight. Most of the staff are on this annual teacher's conference, they won't be back until tomorrow. The only ones that are left, don't give a shit if we party." Farlan laughed. Well at least they weren't being completely stupid. Still it didn't make him want to go any more. Parties were not his thing. Farlan seemed to sense his scepticism. "Come on, man. You have to come; it won't be the same without you. You are a hilarious drunk-" Farlan tried but cut himself off after seeing Levi's death glare and headed in a different direction, "Look we have exams next week, this is our last chance to let loose before hell starts. Plus, I think this is the night I'm going to tell Harlow how I feel." Farlan finished, trying to fix his hair in the mirror. Well shit. Now Levi had to go. This was bad, he needed to warn his girlfriend.

"Fine." Levi said in a monotoned voice even though he was freaking out on the inside. Farlan smiled at him in approval as Levi started getting changed into the clothes he was given while simultaneously dreading the night ahead.
