Anyone else excited for the Toppat Clan Airship map on Among Us? I am.
"This is bullshit I can't believe this you guys are all whores-"
Mari, floating to the ends of space, was uttering swears of pure rage that were fortunately muffled behind her helmet and the Skeld's window. Taka was frozen in place, somewhat regretting what he had done. Takumi, being the level headed one, attempted to calm down the weeping children that are Koko and Shiro.
"I don't want to play this game anymore!" Shiro sobbed, curling up into a ball and hiding his face in his arms. "I want to go home!"
"Shhh, it's okay. You're going to be okay," Takumi said in a warm, loving tone. Shiro's cries eventually became whimpers, before finally calming down into Takumi's arms, as if he was a statue.
Koko, wiping away her tears, giggled at the sight. "Y-You know, you're being such a parent right now."
The escapist's cheeks flushed red and turned away. "I-I'm not!"
"Yes, you are!"
"No. I'm. Not!"
A stifled laugh from Shiro was muffled in the escapist's suit. He sniffled and began to form a weak smile. "Y-You're right. It will be okay. W-We can avenge Mari and Seizo, right?"
Taka scoffed and smirked at the trio. "Yeah, to be frank, it was that stuffed bear's fault Mari had to turn on us like this. Her death won't be in vain. I am the ultimate motherfucking pilot after all!"
"I'M RIGHT FUCKING HERE YOU BITCH!"
"Sometimes I can still hear her voice," Taka sighed. The model was screaming while slamming her fist against the window, insulting her fellow crewmates to let her back in.
As Shiro approached the Reactor one more time, his legs were about to give up on him, having to see his friend's corpse another time. He paused when he saw that it was clean. No corpse, no blood, no signs of a murder. Whoever had the job of cleaning up around here needs a raise for sure.
"W-Who is doing this t-to us..." Shiro stammered, collapsing from his shaking legs. The occultist tried to remember the words the escapist told him, but the overwhelming fear blurred his thoughts. He resisted the urge to vomit in his space helmet. "I-I want to l-live. I-I'm scared..." He began to hug himself.
Will you allow me to fucking finally take over?
Shiro's eyes widened at Kuro's sudden statement. However, it sort of comforted him knowing that he was watching over him. He eventually stopped shaking and took in some deep breaths.
"I-I guess so. B-But please treat my friends nicely..."
Yeah yeah, pussy... Hiiro won't let me treat you guys badly anyway...
Shiro chuckled. Of course, Hiiro wouldn't let him do anything reckless, as they have become very close with each other in the past few months. The barista was back at Hope's Peak, voluntarily waiting with the Bellini group to oversee their safe return. He couldn't imagine how worried he must be now they've lost contact with Earth.
Shiro could feel his conscious being pushed back into his mind, slowly but willingly letting Kuro take over his body. The occultist smirked as he stretched his arms, letting out a satisfying pop on his bones.
"Finally, it's about time!" Kuro spoke to himself. "Now, what dumb tasks does Shiro have?"
His eyes skimmed through the list of unchecked tasks on the tablet. The only remaining thing he had to do was reroute the power to shields in electrical. Seems easy enough. He began to exit the reactor, his boots clanking against the metal floor, causing an eerie echo. It's quite scary how quiet yet ominous the Skeld was when he was on his own.
crackle
Kuro flinched at the noise and began to stare into pure darkness. Damn, the lights went off... I can't see shit!
Blinking a few times to make sure it wasn't Shiro who was messing with him, he shuffled to the wall and walked along with it, with his hand gliding across. He just needed to get to Electrical to switch the lights on. It shouldn't be too hard...
"Huh? What the fuck?" Kuro muttered to himself. His hand felt a cold, metallic material, causing him to jump and back away. Was Electrical closed off? "Hey! Open up!" Kuro yelled as he rapped his fist against the metal gate.
Almost a few seconds later, he could hear the airtight lock release the door open, while simultaneously the lights flickered back on. Kuro couldn't believe what was in front of him.
A corpse, almost unrecognizable, was right in front of the light switches. Fortunately, it didn't look like one of Shiro's friends based on the color of the suit, so Kuro let out a sigh of relief on that part. Regardless, he reported the body and called for a meeting in the cafeteria.
"A body has been discovered. Please report to the cafeteria for a discussion."
Kuro was glad Shiro didn't have to see this, although he probably wouldn't be happy after he regained control of his body again. Not even a second passed, and he heard sprinting from behind him. He turned around to see a familiar escapist gasping for air.
"I... heard... announcement..." Takumi said in between breaths. His eyes widened when he saw the mangled corpse in front of him. He looked away, trying to hide his tears and holding back the puke in his stomach. "It... wasn't... anyone familiar... right?"
Kuro shook his head. "Let's just go to the Cafeteria. The others should be there by now, or at least heading there."
Takumi wiped his eyes and took a deep breath. "Y-Yeah... Let's do that."
Koko's eyes tried to adjust to the sudden brightness and she was greeted by the sound of the meeting alarm. Almost immediately, she realized that another one has died. The critic's legs gave out on her, and she collapsed onto the floor. Tears wouldn't stop falling, her face turned pale.
"You alright?" A voice echoed behind her. She turned around to see a familiar cyan-colored suit. Taka kneeled down beside her and patted her back gently. "Let's go."
Koko hesitantly nodded and accepted Taka's hand to pull her up. Upon arriving at the cafeteria, they noticed that Shiro(?) and Takumi and the others were already there, already discussing the possible suspects. It didn't warrant a sigh of relief, but both Koko and Taka were glad to know the two were okay.
"It can't be..." Takumi stammered. "Another one..."
"It can't be helped," Kuro replied. "Besides, we can always skip if we don't have any evidence."
"I-, that's not what I was-," Takumi retorted, but paused when the pilot and food critic came into view and waved at them.
He sprinted towards the two and embraced them, almost knocking them over in the process. "Oh, thank god! I thought one of you-... I mean I thought the corpse was-..."
Taka rolled his eyes and smiled. "You can check your tablet for that you know."
Takumi sighed and chuckled in embarrassment. "Y-Yeah, I know that!" Koko let out a huff of breath from how tight Takumi was hugging the both of them.
He released them from his grasp and followed them to the main table. Kuro rolled his eyes but failed to retain a stoic expression, with the ends of his lips curled up into an awkward smirk.
"Okay, where was everyone at the time of the murder?" Taka boomed, leading the conversation as usual. "I was at Navigation and Koko was at Oxygen."
Koko nodded in response. "I-I can confirm that."
Takumi raised his hand, signifying his turn to speak. "I was at Communications before the lights went out. I stayed put until the lights went back up and went to the Cafeteria with Shi- I mean, Kuro."
The occultist sighed. "Yeah, I can confirm that. Takumi followed suit when the body was discovered and we walked together to the meeting."
"I believe the lights had to be a sabotage. There's no other explanation..." Taka added. "The killer could've used that time to murder and escape using the vents..."
Silence filled the room. They had no incriminating evidence for anyone. No one to blame as the impostor. Everything was a standstill, with everyone fidgeting in place.
Koko especially was suspiciously fidgety. The palms of her hands began to sweat, and her face grew even paler than before. "Why don't we skip vote for n-now? And we can stick together?"
Takumi rubbed the back of his neck nervously, reading the obvious tension between his friends. "Yeah, I guess..."
"Then it's settled. Everyone skip," Taka agreed, casting his veto to vote on his tablet. The others follow suit, and the votes are counted.
Now all free to leave and finish their remaining tasks, Taka and Kuro (?) went off to the upper engine, while Koko and Takumi held a nonverbal agreement to pair up and leave together. The critic held her breath and began to shiver.
"I might just..."
"Hmm? What was that, Koko?" Takumi looked down at the ginger.
"O-Oh! Nothing, nothing!" Koko laughed nervously. "Let's go do our tasks, okay?"
Takumi cocked his head. "U-Um, okay?"
Bonus Scene:
Mari was still floating in space, grumbling to herself and crossing her arms. "Stupid bitches can't even figure out my partner."
She sighed, now pressing her hand against the glass. "Why did I have to turn out this way... It's not my fault that dumb bear turned me into this... I kind of feel sorry for the other one that changed into this... thing..."
Suddenly, she kicked the window. "But I'm still pissed off. Fuck all of you."
Yes, part 3 will be coming :poggies:
