26.
Harlow gulped as Izzy turned to her with a wild smirk on her face. She was filled with relief that her friend wasn't mad but was starting to think she preferred an angry Izzy to this one. The red head sat back down on the bed facing Harlow.
"So..." Izzy grinned at Harlow's jumper. Damnit she shouldn't have worn it so much. Now she felt stupid. Wasn't really her fault though, it was a damn comfortable hoodie.
"Iz, I don't really feel like talking that much. But I am sorry for lying so I will answer your questions... just try not to make them too weird." Harlow said with a sigh. Izzy laughed and nodded.
"How did it happen?" Izzy asked wiggling her eyebrows. Harlow couldn't help but smile at the girl.
"Well it started raining on the way back home and I dragged him out into it. We were both laughing, and it sort of just happened." Harlow explained awkwardly. Izzy squealed.
"How cliché, I love it! So, was that the first time you kissed?"
"Yeah." Harlow smiled slightly at the memory. It was a damn good kiss.
"Is he a good kisser?" Izzy asked cheekily. Harlow felt her cheeks heat up with embarrassment.
"IZZY!" Isabel laughed and laid back on the bed.
"What? I've always wondered. They're my boys, I'm only interested in their lives. If I find someone who kissed Farlan, I'd ask them the same thing." Izzy shrugged, looking up at the ceiling. Harlow was glad her friend wasn't looking at her because she would have seen Harlow's face fall at her comment. She supposed she had experienced a Farlan kiss as well. But it certainly wasn't good. Still, she wasn't going to mention that yet. Izzy sat back up. "So, come on. Spill, its only us." Harlow laughed and sighed.
"Yes. He is a good kisser. There, you happy?" Harlow asked in a monotoned voice. Izzy scrunched up her face.
"You guys are weirdly similar. Don't do that, it's freaky." Izzy said and Harlow laughed. "So, important question: is it official and are you serious?" Izzy asked seriously. Harlow smiled.
"Yeah. I love him, Iz. I know we've only been dating for a week, but I've liked him for so much longer. It feels like I've known him for years." The biggest smile came to Izzy's face and she hugged Harlow tightly. Harlow laughed and hugged her back.
"I am so happy for you. Both of you."
"Thanks."
"Done anything else yet?" Izzy asked with a smirk. Harlow went bright red.
"IZ! YOU HAVE NO SHAME!" Izzy cackled and nodded.
"Fine, fine. I'm done. Levi you can come back in now." Isabel said, not even raising her voice. Levi came in immediately, meaning he had most likely heard ever word. Harlow groaned and hid her head in her hands to hide her blush.
"You heard all of that didn't you?" Harlow whined. Izzy laughed triumphantly.
"Every word, brat." Levi replied. Harlow could practically see the smirk on his face without even having to look at him. She let out a small squeal in surprise when Levi picked her up and sat down on Harlow's bed setting Harlow down in his lap. Izzy burst out laughing and Harlow felt her face grow even hotter if that was possible. She groaned in annoyance and hid her face in Levi's shoulder. She heard a small chuckle from the man. "Love you too brat. And you're a pretty damn good kisser yourself." Levi whispered, causing a large smile to come to Harlow's face. Izzy whined in protest.
"Hey! What did he say?" Izzy asked with a frown. Harlow laughed and slid off Levi's lap to sit next to him and face Izzy again, although she did lace their fingers together.
"That would be a secret." Harlow smirked at her friends annoyed face and leant her head on her boyfriends' shoulder. She wished it could stay this light-hearted the whole evening, but they had some important things to talk about. Harlow didn't even realise she was frowning until Levi tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"You okay, brat?" Levi asked, concerned. Harlow smiled up at him and nodded. Levi smiled back.
"Aww! You guys are too fucking cute!" Izzy exclaimed while simultaneously snapping a button on her polaroid camera. When, the hell, did she get that? Levi glared at the redhead who was currently smirking at them waving the picture out in the air while it was forming. Harlow just laughed and took the picture Izzy passed her. It was actually really cute. They were both looking at each other, smiling, Levi's hand cupping the side of Harlow's face. Harlow looked up to see Levi's reaction to the photo. His face was unreadable as always, but Harlow could read his eyes. He liked it too. And yet, he still sent a death glare Izzy's way, making her flinch and hide behind her giant stuffed panda. "Please don't kill me. Or before you do, let me just say, I liked seeing you smile again." Izzy said kindly. Levi's eyes softened and he gave her a thankful nod.
"We should probably talk about what happened now." Harlow reminded, her voice wavering slightly. Levi squeezed her hand for support.
"I agree." Izzy said, getting more comfortable. Harlow took a deep breath to prepare herself. A lot happened tonight.
"Well... Reiner kind of attacked me at the party so naturally I punched him in the face." Harlow started but carried on quickly, sensing Levi's murderous aura. She hadn't told him about that part yet. "Farlan stepped in and told Reiner to get out before he tried anything else. I saw he was wasted so I took him outside for some air and um..." Harlow tried to explain but found no words came out. She looked to Levi and he gave her a comforting look and a nod, telling her he would explain for her. God, she loved this man.
"Farlan kissed her, without her permission and didn't stop when she tried to push him away. I had to rip the tall shit off of her. I may have also punched him in the face and threatened him." Levi finished, gritting his teeth slightly. Harlow could tell he was still mad. She looked to see Izzy in a similar state. She looked more pissed than Levi.
"THAT IDIOT!" Izzy yelled in frustration. Harlow didn't like where this was going.
"Izzy, listen, he was drunk. He didn't know what he was doing, it wasn't his fault, he probably thought I was kissing him back." Harlow tried to sooth, but her friend seemed to get angrier.
"Harlow! Intoxication doesn't justify shit. Just because he wanted a kiss, doesn't mean he deserved one. Being drunk doesn't completely change who you are or your moral values. And just because he's your friend doesn't mean you should be so lenient with what he did. I've been his friend for way longer and I am pissed! I can't believe he would do something like this, especially after the shit you went through with Bryce, especially after the shit I went through." Izzy finished quietly, tearing up a bit. Harlow was at her side in an instant, Izzy accepted her hug and tried to get herself together. Harlow shared a worried glance with Levi and waited for Izzy to be more stable before asking her what she meant. A few minutes later Izzy sniffed and sat back up again, Harlow took her hand for support. Izzy smiled gratefully.
"Izzy, what did you mean?" Harlow asked cautiously. Isabel sighed and wiped her eyes, looking down at the floor. Harlow hated seeing her look so depressed.
"The first week we got here. We got invited to a party. I thought it would be fun, so I dragged Levi and Farlan along with me. Levi got shitfaced and its always amazing when that happens. We were having a good time until this guy cornered me off and kept bothering me. I tried to push him away but he... he pinned me against a wall and started kissing and groping me. I tried to yell for help, but he put his hand over my mouth and started pushing me towards the bathroom. Luckily Farlan found me before it was too late and beat the shit out of him. Levi found us and joined in on the beating because when Farlan's in a fight he immediately throws himself into the fire no questions asked. I'm pretty sure you broke his nose." Izzy sniffed and chuckled sadly. "Farlan comforted me that night and took me to my dorm and stayed with me because I was really shaken up. Levi passed out from the alcohol and didn't remember what happened the next morning." She turned to Levi, who was looking both angry and sad. "I guess I didn't tell you what happened because I didn't want to admit it really happened. I made Farlan promise to keep quiet too. Also, I was scared you were going to go and kill the guy and get us all thrown out." Izzy chuckled again. Levi frowned.
"Well I still might! Who is this guy, I want a name and I want it now Iz!" Levi said angrily, standing up from the bed. Izzy smiled and turned to Harlow.
"See." Izzy gestured to Levi. Harlow nodded in understanding. Izzy turned back to Levi. "He's gone Levi. Transferred out ages ago." Levi frowned and sat back down, crossing his arms in annoyance.
"I'm sorry that happened to you." Harlow comforted, Izzy took a breath and smiled at her.
"It was a long time ago. I'm fine it's just it was Farlan who got me through it. And to think he would do anything remotely similar makes me feel sick." Izzy said sadly. Harlow got where she was coming from, being in similar situations before, but she didn't want Izzy or Levi's relationship with Farlan to go down the drain because of her.
"I know and I get it but... once he realised what he did, he looked really sorry. At least hear him out, don't throw away your friendship over one mistake." Harlow said, looking to both Izzy and Levi for an answer. The pair took a minute before looking at each other. Then they both looked back to Harlow and nodded. She smiled at them. "Great. Now we just need to find him. Any ideas?" Izzy and Levi smirked at the same time.
"Yeah. We know exactly where he is. He has a favourite spot near the running track." Izzy replied proudly.
"Let's go then." Harlow smiled and they all stood, ready to leave.
A/N: Hey! For those of you still reading this I want to apologise for my lack of commitment. I've been pretty focused on my other story lately but I do still enjoy writing this one too. It's fun and easy, not as serious as my other one.
So yeah I'm still going with this one and I still have a direction in mind. We'll get into it eventually. Thanks for reading. X
