A/N: Lol look at me already going way over the timeline I set for myself. My bad, I've been pretty busy but I'll try not to let it happen again. I hope you all enjoy!

I do not own this series!

The next morning, I woke up bone tired like I hadn't slept at all. I kept my eyes closed and prayed that it was only 2 am and I could just roll over and continue to sleep, however, the sunlight beaming into my face told me a completely different story.

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times so they could adjust to the brightness and as the rest of my body started waking up I was able to hear raucous laughter coming from downstairs. How anyone could be so exuberant this early in the morning was beyond me. I dressed quickly in a pair of light-wash jeans and a thick sweater seeing as it was late October. This is Washington after all, it'll be a miracle if this is all I need to stay warm. After brushing my teeth and brushing my hair I went downstairs to see why Sam and Emily were so loud. I made it to the bottom of the stairs only to be met by what I assumed to be the entire wolf pack.

"Well look who finally arose from the dead." My brother smirked.

"What are you talking about, it's like 10 am?" I said causing everyone in the room to start chortling like a bunch of piglets.

"No Lexi, it's 2:30 in the afternoon." Jake was finally able to wheeze out. I blushed at the embarrassment but shot back immediately.

"Well, I did just fly across the damn country yesterday! Get off my back." I rolled my eyes and strolled over to the table where a big pile of muffins sat and grabbed one. As I picked it up and started eating a hot arm dropped around my shoulder and pulled me into the side of a large, familiar body.

"Sup, sweetheart?" Seth asked and kissed my temple.

"Not much, I'm glad you're here actually. I wanted to maybe compare class schedules and see if I could at least count on having you in a few of my classes when I start tomorrow." I told him.

"Totally, just show me what you got." He said easily. I nodded my head toward the stairs and started walking knowing he'd follow.

"What are you doing here btw?" I asked him.

"Just hanging out. We kinda do this every weekend just to have fun and stuff. I thought things might've changed after Jake split the pack but we all still come here like nothing ever happened. We're like family."

"Okay, so I should expect downstairs to be packed with a bunch of supernatural wolfmen every weekend got it." I said as we walked into my room. " Why did Jake split the pack btw? And how did you all decide who would be in what pack? Who is even in each pack?" I rambled, it seemed like my questioning would never end.

"Oof, that first one is a pretty long story. As for how we decided who's pack to be in, Sam's or Jacob's, we basically chose a side and without us even realizing what happened we had shifted our allegiance. Jake's pack has Leah, Quil, Embry and myself. Leah is Jacob's Beta. Sam has Jared, Paul, Brady, and Collin. Brady and Collin are the youngest of all of us at 14. Jared is Sam's Beta." He explained.

"Well you didn't explain why the pack was split in the first place and what do you mean by chose sides?" I pressed.

"It was this huge moral dilemma, and that's a story for another day. Besides, didn't you bring me up here to talk about school or something." He said.

"Oh right! Hehe, I almost forgot." I pulled my schedule out of my bag and handed it to him. He looked it over quickly and then gave it back.

"Well, we've got all but 2 classes together and lunch together as well." He smiled excitedly.

"Awesome, I can work with that and for those to classes I have by myself I'll just have to fly under the radar as much as possible." I sigh.

"Oh come on it won't be that bad, it's just school Lex. You'll be fine."

"I guess...by the way, would you mind walking with me to school tomorrow morning and showing me around before class starts so I don't get lost." I asked and his smile got even brighter if that was even possible.

"You want me to walk you to school?" He asked.

"I guess if you wanna refer to it that way you can go right ahead, buddy." I said, putting extra emphasis on the word 'buddy' so that he'd remember what I said about us being friends. Despite whatever feelings I might have, I still wasn't ready for anything romantic.

The brightness of his smile dimmed the slightest bit. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking right at him at that moment. Despite that, his response was as chipper as ever.

"Think of it however you like Pal," he said with tons of mirth. "Either way I'm walking you to school and that means I get to spend time with you so I'm amped anyway."

I felt myself blush and turned away quickly rolling my eyes to play it off. "Whatever dork." I chuckled. I started to unpack my suitcases and put all of my things away. Seth just sat on the bed in silence. I could feel his eyes on my and I was starting to feel a little awkward. After about 10 minutes of this, I started to feel my face heating up again and had to put a stop to it.

"Ya know, if you're just gonna sit there and stare at me you can make yourself useful and help me unpack." I said. It was his turn to blush then.

"Uh, right, um...where should I start?" He asked.

"Just, uh- you can start with that one over there." I told him, pointing to a little green suitcase that I had packed all of my miscellaneous trinkets in.

"So, what was Florida like?" He asked as he started pulling things out of the suitcase and sitting it on the bed.

"Warm, and the beaches have sand like on tv instead of the gravel on First Beach." I laughed. "The place we lived in was a pretty peaceful little suburb. It was pretty much just my mom and I the whole time. She never really brought any guys around."

"Did you? Bring guys around I mean." He kept his head down.

"Not really. I mean there were petty crushes here and there but nothing substantial." I shrugged.

"Oh really? Why not?"

"I just wasn't really interested in having a serious boyfriend especially since my endgame was pretty much always to convince my mom to let me move back to La Push. A boyfriend would've made things too complicated." I explained.

"I guess I can understand that. Why start something that you're sure isn't going to last right?" He said.

"Exactly, I'm not much for flings and the month-long relationships that everyone else our age seems to be obsessed with." I agreed. He shot his next question of fairly quick.

"What about friends? Did you have many?"

"What is this, twenty questions?" I chuckled.

"Well, you did kinda got a crash course in the most important events in my life over the past seven years last night. I just figured it's only fair for me to learn about what's been going on in your life today." He teased.

"Hm, I guess you're right. Well, in that case, I do have one really good friend I hope I don't lose touch with. She's the absolute greatest! Her name is Nicole."

"That's nice. I kinda had to let go of any friends I had when I started phasing." He frowned. "The pack is pretty much like an extended family to me now. I do have a few casual friends at school but it's kind of hard to be close to someone when you have to hide such a huge part of your life from them." He explained.

"I'm sorry to hear that Seth." I said earnestly.

"It's fine really. I've long since moved on from that and at least I don't have to hide anything from you. Honestly, when Sam told us that he wouldn't be telling you about the pack and we should keep it a secret from you as well, I really wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to. I'm glad that worked out for us." He started smiling again now and I smiled back at him.

"Yeah, I'm glad too Seth." I told him. Just then my phone started to ring shattering the moment. I picked it up, "It's my mom."

"I'll give you some privacy." He said and disappeared out the door.

"Hey favorite mom." I answered brightly.

"Why haven't you called me yet?!" She shouted. "You're flight landed yesterday at 4 pm! I haven't heard a peep out of you or Sam, I've been worried sick Alexis."

"I'm so sorry mom. It completely slipped my mind when I landed, I was just so happy to see my brother and when we made it back to his house I went right to sleep and slept until 2 pm today." I lied smoothly not wanting to give anything away about the pack since I was positive she had no clue. She's from the Hoh tribe after all and has no clue about the Quileute legends. "I've been unpacking my things since I woke up today."

"That's still no reason not to call your mother and tell her you're safe. I didn't even want you to move there with that Samuel Uley anyway." She said.

"How many times do we have to go over this mom? I know he's not your son but he's still my brother and he is nothing like the man our father was. I'm proud to be a Uley if it means being his sister." I said.

"Yes yes, I know." she sighed. "I've just been so out of my mind with worry. You're my only kid Lexi, you're all I've got." she said.

"I know mom I'm sorry. I love you." I told her.

"I love you more honey." she said back. "Now, let's get onto another topic. Are you excited for your first day at school tomorrow?" She asked.

"Yeah, I even have a bit of a tour guide to help me get around." I told her.

"Oh really? Who is it? Do I know them?" she asked.

"Yes actually, it's Seth Clearwater."

"Little Sue and Harry's boy? He was the sweetest little thing when you were kids and you had the cutest little crush on him. How is he?" she asked.

"He's doing fine and did you really have to mention the crush thing that's so embarrassing." I groaned.

"Oh hush, it was adorable! How'd you end up seeing him anyway?"

"He was over at the house today visiting Sam and we found out we had some classes together so I asked if he would show me around." I said honestly. At least I wouldn't have to hide that from her.

"Oh you did, did you?" I could hear her smirking through the phone.

"Stop it mom it's not like that. I just figured this was a good way to catch up with an old friend, that is all." I said.

"If you say so honey. I gotta go okay? My break is over and I'm working a late shift tonight. I love you." She said.

"I love you more mom, be safe." I said and she made kissing noises through the phone then hung up. I slid my phone into my pocket and went to head downstairs only to see that everyone was about to head home. I checked the time on my phone to see that it was now 7 pm. I hadn't even realized the sun had set.

"Wait Seth, where should I meet you in the morning?" I asked.

"Well, uh school starts at 8 so I'll be here to grab you at about 7:30. That should give us enough time to get there so I can show you around." He said.

"Okay, I'll be ready. Thanks again Seth." I smiled.

"Don't worry about it sweetheart." He winked and ran out of the house. I blushed a little and the next thing I know I'm hearing multiple kissy noises from the rest of the pack as they all leave the house as well. I rolled my eyes.

"Are all of you this immature all the time?" I asked my brother.

"Pretty much." He shrugged. I just laughed and headed up the stairs.
