Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Star Wars. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Star Wars. LucasArts and Disney do.
A pair of civilian grade Z-95 Headhunters flew through the skies of Yerbana. Trevcolt Felcote pushed the craft to its limits.
"You're going to get yourself killed trying that trick." Trevcolt heard and gave his head a shake.
"Funny considering you got shot down by a Vulture Droid when the Seppies came here." Trevcolt said which was greeted by a huff of annoyance.
Trevcolt turned to look at the other pilot. A fair skinned man with short brown hair sat in the cockpit of the other craft.
"Never going to let me live that down, are you, Trev?" The pilot questioned and chuckled before the crafts slowly descended towards the surface.
"This will be the last time I sit behind this chair." Trevcolt stated and leaned back in his chair.
"You seriously considering joining the navy?" Trevcolt heard over the communicator. "I thought you were joking when you told me." Trevcolt heard before he rolled his jade-colored eyes behind the visor on his face.
"The empire is the reason Yerbana isn't being controlled under Separatist control." Trevcolt stated while he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "It's the only way I can think to replay them… You cant talk me out of this." Trevcolt added as his ship slowly coasted to the ground.
Trevcolt could only wonder what would become of Yerbana when he left it. He had grown up on this world only to see it become a battlefield between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic. Trevcolt was one of the many people which saw the Republic becoming the empire. Trevcolt had wanted to see the Empire soon after.
The fighter slowly shifted to the ground. Trevcolt popped out of the fighter and flexed his arms. He could hardly wait to be behind another fighter's controls.
"They don't let you do all this fancy flying in the Imperial Navy." The pilot stated which caused Trevcolt look to him once more.
"I told you I'm not going to walk away from this." Trevcolt said while he cracked his neck. "You know that, Elitre…" Trevcolt said and slowly walked away from his friend.
He went to go change out of the battered and bruised flight suit and into street clothes. He'd visit the nearest recruitment officer and then be off to train to be a TIE pilot.
"Just don't forget where you came from, Trev." Elitre said while he watched his friend slowly walk away.
Trevcolt nodded and looked to the side. He folded his arms and looked up to see a TIE roar overhead.
Trevcolt always felt like fighters were living beings as much as he did. They fought, they flew, they needed constant upkeep. A ship was far more then Durasteel and computers.
"One day…" Trevcolt stated while he looked down towards the ground.
Trevcolt removed his helmet and continued his walk home. He wanted nothing then to sign up then crash in his bed.
"You heard the local pirates started acting up again?" Trevcolt heard and turned to look at a group of people.
Trevcolt folded his arms and tucked his helmet under his arm while he blinked.
"Pirates don't try to blow up a mining ship…" One of the other groups stated. "You know what they are. It's a taboo word around here… You should keep your head down; they might come after us next." The man put in as the group dispersed.
Trevcolt could only ponder what would cause a group to try and blow up a mining rig.
"Hmm…" Trevcolt muttered to himself and continued to walk towards his home.
Perhaps they appear again and the Empire would destroy them. Trevcolt looked to the side while he shook his head and could only rub his fingers against his flight helmet.
Trevcolt tossed his helmet into his chair and then kicked off his boots to go get changed into his flight suit. He stretched with an audible crack while he hummed and blinked and looked to the side.
He looked in the cracked mirror, his blackish hair and jade eyes were rare traits here. He couldn't do anything yet, but he planned to change that.
He was tired for a second then he pushed himself to walk towards the closet.
Author Notes
Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be delayed a bit. I wanted to make this story after seeing Star Wars Squadron and such. Next chapter will be 1200 words or so and will show Trevcolt training to be an Imperial Pilot and show him meeting who will be his squadmates and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
