Hey there Power Rangers fans, this is The Rainwalker. Welcome back to another chapter of the coming of Angel Force.

In the last chapter, Nia and Adam Park were about to attend another day at Stephen Hawking University. But the two noticed someone was following them. With a little trickery, they dodged their mysterious stalker. Keeping an eye on things, they went about their day.

Then Professor Adrian Lambeau and Adam met up with Nia at lunch. But Nia and Adam's stalker showed up, and attempted to kill Nia. But the stalker got disarmed by a surprise federal agent. The assassin turned out to be an agent of the Imperial Deevil Empire. One of those responsible for the destruction of Nia's people. The four pursued the Deevil to a university building roof. Rather than surrender, the Deevil chose to kill himself. Left with more questions than answers, Nia and Adam are in a spot. Now Professor Lambeau and Agent James Ferguson can answer the young couple's questions. get ready as the coming of Angell Force continues.

Nia watched as James Ferguson redialed whoever he'd talked to earlier. After a second, she heard him speak. "It's me again, I need you to hurry up with that pick up! The enemy just made a second attempt on us!"

Nia figured the enemy they were talking about were the Deevils. Sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Adam looked at the Engineering professor. "So," he asked. "When were you going to tell Nia and me about your little secret Doc?"

"Only when my superiors give me the go ahead." Adrian Lambeau answered. "They're very fickle about keeping the existence of our Government-funded organization quiet. If people knew about us, and the kind of technology we have, the world would panic."

Nia noted Adam flash an ironic smile. "Like my days as a ranger," he muttered.

The couple turned when they heard the sounds of a vehicle approaching at high speed. A black van swerved around a corner, and drove up to the front of the school. Nia and Adam tensed. "Hey whoa-whoa-whoa." James assured. "Take it easy you two, they're with us!"

The van screeched to a halt in front of the college. Nia and Adam got a surprise, when the side door actually swung open instead of sliding. Two men with silvery laser rifles swung out at the ready. With them was a third man. He wore a military style short sleeve T-shirt, camouflage trousers, and boots. He held a silvery laser rifle of his own. The man had short cropped blonde hair, a clean-shaven look, and blue eyes. Those eyes indicated this was a man well-trained in being a soldier. He walked over to James and saluted. "Agent Ferguson," he greeted with a salute, his voice showing a clear southern accent.

James sighed in relief. "Brunswick, you and your men's timing is impeccable."

The Dikarian woman and the southern man's eyes made contact, and did a quick assessment. Among Nia's many lessons were one taken from Julia Chiang's father, Landon. There was a non-verbalized language between soldiers. An instinct they had for assessing trust. Nia's instincts told her this young man was the kind she wanted on her side. The man extended a hand. "Carlton Brunswick from Tennessee ma'am, you must be Nia of Dikaria."

She nodded and shook the offered hand. Carlton then looked at James. "So those horned bastards are on to us huh? Best we haul ass outta' here!"

Nia noted Carlton look at the two other men. "Grant, Biggsley, move it!" he ordered.

The two men nodded. Nia and the others scrambled into the van. The inside looked no different than any other vehicle, yet Nia got the feeling this was a disguise. The seats were comfortable enough. Carlton sat up front, while one soldier sat on the left of him, the other took the wheel. Professor Lambeau and Agent Ferguson took their seats in front of Nia and Adam. The young couple looked at each other, before they fastened their safety belts, and held hands. Nia wasn't scared, but she was always grateful for Adam's touch. The van door closed. "Okay Biggsley, punch it and head for the old Carver freight train station!"

"Got it boss!" The soldier named Biggsley acknowledged.

The van engine turned on, pulled out of the driveway, and zoomed down the road. Nia watched as Carlton pressed a couple buttons. The glove compartment opened up…to reveal advanced scanning equipment. "Who exactly are you people?" Nia asked. "And how did you get this level of technology? The only ones I know other than the rangers, and those with Zerak, would be the Free Worlds Alliance."

Agent Ferguson explained, "We can't go into all the details yet Miss Smith. We can tell you we're on a mission to defend Earth from the Imperial Deevil Empire

"I hope I get that explanation soon!" She growled.

Then Nia noticed the wary look on Adam's face. "Something on your mind, hootani?" Nia asked, looking concerned.

Adam explained, "It's my old instincts as a Power Ranger babe. Those stories about the Deevils' tactics, as well as our recent experience, I get the feeling they're not done with us."

This was part of why Adam and she worked well together, he was thinking the same thing she was. "On this count, you're right Adam. The Deevils are relentless hunters, if they've targeted us, they won't stop…for anything."

"In other words, you think they're nowhere near done with us." James Ferguson added in.

"Makes good sense to me," Carlton Brunswick interjected. "If I had an enemy that had a powerful super soldier, I'd want em' out of the way too."

As if on cue, a bleeping noise came from the scanning controls. Nia watched as Carlton turned towards the equipment. "Looks like you were right, we got bogeys coming in hot!"

A compartment in the top of the van opened, a flat screen dropped down, and activated. Three black vehicles descended, each looked like a three-wheeled car and jet crossed. Wings had unfurled as jets fired from the back. Nasty looking laser cannons popped out at the front, ready to fire. Nia recognized the three vehicles immediately, "Rondraks!" she stated.

"You mind sharing with the rest of the class?" Adam asked.

"Rondraks," Nia explained. "Translated from the Deevils language, means Road Demons. Those are the Deevils fast attack vehicles. Each vehicle has heavy arms and armor, and each driver is a dedicated killer!"

The cannons lit up with energy. "Heads up," Adam warned.

The van dodged the laser blasts from the Rondraks' weapons. Nia and Adam held on as the van swerved out of the way. The laser blasts struck the ground nearby as the van continued its forward momentum. "We can't outrun them in this bulky thing!" Nia stated.

"You're right about that," James Ferguson agreed. "So…" he added, leaving the statement unfinished.

Nia watched the federal Agent look around. "Evelyn," he called. "Can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear dear." A female voice from all around them answered.

"Deactivate safeties on the War Van," he ordered.

"Compliance," the female voice answered.

A red light lit up the steering wheel. The driver pressed it, and the wheel transformed to a steering mechanism for a zord or fighter. Panels throughout the van slid aside revealing complex computer equipment, which lit up. Nia let out a yelp of surprise, as part of the seat she had been sitting on folded downwards. Her part of the seat turned around. From beneath the seat, a strange device that looked like a box with a cylinder attached folded out. Nia watched as it transformed…into a gatling blaster. Like the kind used by the Free Worlds alliance, the Dikarian observed.

She looked to see Adam, likewise, was operating a Gatling blaster. The back doors to the van opened, and a targeting device unfolded from the weapon. Thanks to her time with her adopted father, she'd learned about F.W.A. tech. "Now we're talking!" Nia stated, a predatory grin crossing her lips.

She looked down, and saw the handles for the blaster. Nia's hands grabbed the controls, and she found the device responded to her movements. "Okay, you Deevil bastards," she snapped. "You wanna' play, let's play!"

The van had to swerve and dodge another round of blasts from the road Demon vehicles. Nia took a quick mental peek at Adam's head. The response she got was, I'll follow your lead babe.

Nia smirked and looked into the targeting device. She aimed and pressed the button she felt on the left handle. The laser weapon fired bolts of energy in rapid succession at her target. The energy struck…and tore into the vehicle. The blasted Rondrak crashed to the ground and exploded. Another Deevil vehicle got ripped into by bolts of energy! It crashed and exploded as the van pulled away. Nia saw Adam smile and nod to her. The third attacker fired at the van. Nia and Adam's seatbelts kept them from getting flung out as the vehicle swerved. Nia and Adam turned on the third Road Demon and opened fire. It never stood a chance, as it got shredded by the two Gatling blasters and exploded. Nia and Adam were about to relax, when a laser blast hit the road behind them. Another Road Demon descended from the sky and landed. But then Nia noticed the vehicle was slowing. Their weapons and seats returned to their previous state within the war van. The back doors closed, as an alarm went off. A screen showed another Road Demon coming towards them. The usually calm and collected Nia yelled, "Stop, that Road Demon's crazy, he'll kill us!"

"Stop like hell, that's what that sum' bitch wants!" Brunswick stated.

Nia then got a surprise, when part of the van front extended and unfolded into a ramp. Nia's panic faded as she understood what was going on. That understanding came to light, as the Road Demon hit, ascended the ramp, and launched into the air. The vehicle tried to transform into its aerial mode…but it was already too late! Nia watched as the vehicle spun on to it's top, and collided with the Rondrak behind them! Both Road Demons exploded. James asked, "Any more bogeys detected?"

Nia watched Carlton look on the radar device. "None sir," he confirmed.

"I can detect no stealth mode enemies dear." The voice of this Evelyn person told him.

James sighed in relief. "All right," he ordered. "Convert War Van back to street mode."

The vehicle transformed back to the form that Nia had first seen it. "Who is this Evelyn person?" Nia asked.

The agent was about to answer, when Evelyn interrupted. "I'll answer this one, I'm not exactly a person Nia. I'm an advanced A.I. system, capable of my own thoughts and ideas, as Angelica is."

That took Nia off guard. "Another A.I. system? No offense, but I didn't think Earth humans had reached that level of advanced technology yet."

"I'm not exactly from the Earth dear." The A.I. explained. "I'll tell everything once you get to the station."

Then Nia heard her professor say, "The sooner the better."

Nia realized she'd forgotten all about her teacher. She turned to see that the Professor/Government agent was a sickly green color. "These sudden jolts cause me motion sickness." The older man groaned.

James chuckled. "Don't worry doc," he assured. "Once we get to the train station, we'll get you something that'll fix that queasy stomach of yours."

Nia looked at Adam. "Are you okay, hootani?" she asked.

The former Power Ranger smirked and answered, "They never even scratched me."

Nia sighed in relief, then looked around. "We should get to this…destination of yours, no telling when the Deevils will try again." She observed.

"No arguments ma'am." Carlton said before he looked at the driver, "Biggsley, step on it!"

The soldier nodded, and shifted the van into the fastest speed possible. "Ooh," Professor Lambeau moaned. "Something tells me I'm not going to like this."

A few minutes later, the van arrived in a warehouse area of Corpus Christie. They saw the ruined sign of the Branston Ciro Warehouse coming up. But then Nia noticed something odd. The building looked like it had seen better days, but the fencing looked brand new. A sign on the fenced off area had the biohazard symbol. She looked at Agent Ferguson in puzzlement. The man shrugged. "We needed some kind of cover to keep away the curious." He explained.

The van circled around to an isolated area from the street. Nia watched as Ferguson flipped open a panel on the front passenger seat. A control panel was underneath the cover of the seat. Pressing a button on the panel, a gate they approached opened up. The van drove up to the warehouse…and right through the wall while she watched the gate close behind her. Nia smiled in approval. "A hologram, clever."

"Oh wow!" Adam added.

She turned, and her eyes widened in surprise. Before them was a cross between a supersonic and normal passenger train. The van approached as Carlton Brunswick pressed another button on his control panel. "This is War Van 17, requesting permission to board the Battle Train, pass code four-five five one!"

The voice of Evelyn answered, "Voice and pass code accepted Carlton, welcome aboard."

The back of the train opened up. A platform extended from inside and lowered to the ground. The van drove on to it, then lifted the van upwards and into the large train car. As it did, lights turned on within the battle train. Nia found herself staring at more of the advanced equipment. Once the platform with the van was inside, the door closed. The voice of Evelyn greeted them. "Welcome aboard everyone, please step out of the War Van and come to the conference car please."

Nia looked at Adam and thought to her boyfriend, now we'll get some answers.

One can hope, she heard her boyfriend think with a measure of skepticism.

Nia had to give Adam that one. It was good to maintain some measure of skepticism. Especially considering the Deevils were out there and had set their sights on her. Nia and Adam unfastened their safety belts. The van doors opened and everyone stepped out. Nia and Adam grabbed on to some nearby handles as they felt a jolt. Nia tensed. "What was that, more Deevils?"

The voice of Evelyn answered in a calming tone. "Don't worry dear, I've not detected any Deevils, yet. That was the Battle Train starting up."

A nearby panel opened to reveal a window. Nia looked out, and saw the train was pulling out of the warehouse, picking up speed. "What track will we use?" the voice of Evelyn asked.

James Ferguson thought for a moment. "Take us down track 1 Evelyn, back to base!"

"A wise idea," The A.I. answered.

Nia put the pieces of the puzzle together. "Evelyn, I recall you saying you're an A.I. system, one capable of original thought, like Angelica?"

"You're right on that dear. And I must say, Angelica is quite the conversationalist."

"So," the Dikarian inquired. "How do you know Angelica?"

"We've had quite a few conversations since James and the others found her. It's quite nice to be able to converse with one of my kind, nothing against organic types."

"We can continue this in the briefing car," James Ferguson stated. "Miss Smith, there's important things happening here."

Nia nodded her agreement. "Of course, lead the way Agent Ferguson."

The man led the group through the various cars of the battle train. Several seemed like ordinary passenger cars with places to sit and look out at the world. Others were rooms with people operating radar and communications equipment. Nia whistled, impressed. "You have a small military operation going here."

Finally, they came to a door that had a couple of burly looking guards, one at each side. The moment they spotted James Ferguson; the men snapped to attention. "All right boys," James told them. "Keep anyone out of the meeting room unless it's an absolute emergency, understood?"

"Yes sir!" the guards answered.

James opened the doors. Nia and the others entered. The room had comfortable looking couches and a large screen. The seats were stiff, but comfortable. She looked at Professor Lambeau and asked, "Are you all right sir?"

"Feeling better, thank you." He assured her. "That van is always hard to sit in, but I always feel more comfortable when I'm on a train. My father was a train conductor, so I gained my love for mechanics riding with him."

Nia looked at Adam, who gave her a reassuring smile indicating he was fine. The windows of the room closed, and Nia turned her attention to James Ferguson. "We're tucked away on the Battle Train, and on our way to the base. So, if you have some questions that need answering, go ahead Miss Smith."

Nia sighed in relief. "That's for certain! Who are you people? Why are the Deevils here? And why are they targeting Adam and me?"

James Ferguson took a seat in front of the large couch. "I'm a C.I.A. operative on special assignment for an organization known as Angel Force. We're so top secret, not even the President knows of us. We first came into existence when you and Mr. Park were finishing off King Mondo and the Machine Empire."

"So why have you chosen now to contact me and Adam?" Nia asked.

Brunswick answered her. "Up until now ma'am, we didn't have any need to. We were content to let the Power Rangers take care of business."

"It's safe to say that something changed?" Adam observed.

"Indeed Mr. Park," Ferguson answered. "When our satellites first detected the old castle of Lord Zedd being rebuilt, we had a look."

The screen in front of the group lit up with a picture of many vehicles that were working on the palace. Adam noted, "Not surprised it's taken them this long, Mondo's goons did a number on that place when he first showed up."

Nia looked at Agent Ferguson and asked, "So, why do you need my help?"

"You and Mr. Park have experience dealing with off world threats," Fergusson answered. "We aren't used to dealing with this kind of menace."

"And knowing the Deevils ability to gather intelligence…they'll know I'm free of Zerak." She surmised.

She shivered, until she felt a warm hand take hers. Adam gave her a supportive look, to which Nia relaxed. She was a deadly super soldier, but the memory of her training under Zerak haunted her. "Also," James Ferguson added. "One of the sponsors of the organization wishes to speak with you."

"One of your organization sponsors wants to speak with me?" Nia asked in open curiosity.

"Evelyn," James called. "Patch him through!"

"Yes dear." The A.I. answered.

The screen lit up with the vision of a humanoid octopus–like creature. It had purple skin, and suction-cup protrusions on the shoulders and face. "An Octavian," Nia gasped.

"Inspector Gultos!" Adam greeted in surprise and delight.

The purple skinned octopus humanoid adjusted something beneath the tentacles. Then it began to speak. "It has been a while Adam Park, and we are well met, Nia of Dikaria."

Nia's face darkened in shame. "Inspector, if this is about what I've done…"

The humanoid octopus raised a tentacle fingered hand and waved it. "No-no, there is no need to explain. Your adopted father gave us a report on everything that happened. While it is true you have done some terrible things, we are aware that it was not your fault. I am actually contacting you because my superiors in the Free Worlds Alliance have a deal for you."

"I'm listening." Nia responded.

"As I said, we are well aware that what you have done wasn't your fault. We also understand you're looking to make amends. When we discovered the Deevils working on Zedd's old palace, we knew this was the perfect time to make this offer. If you will work with Angel Force, the F.W.A. will be happy to completely expunge any and all charges from your record. You will have a clean slate on Earth and in the Galaxy. Which means no ethical Bounty Hunters will come after you. Also, no scheming opportunists will try to use you for their personal gain."

Adam held Nia's hands, as she remembered an incident from the Zeo era. She remembered that Bounty Hunter, and that scheming Katian politician. He'd tried using her capture to gain the F.W.A. presidency, and take over Earth. That Bounty Hunter had been a good man, but he was persistent. Nia looked at Adam and sensed his thoughts. The ball's in your court babe. Whatever you decide, I'll support you.

Nia turned back to the screen, a look of grim determination on her face. "I won't let those Deevil bastards take Earth as they took Dikaria!" She answered. She finished her comment with, "Lilushar Dikaria, Lilushan Earth!"

Nia sensed the Octavian's tension ease. "I, and the Free Worlds Alliance, thank you. Also, in anticipation of our hope you would join us, your adopted father has left a message for you. You can view it when you reach the base."

"Daddy sent me a message?" Nia gasped, eager to hear what her beloved adopted father had to say.

"What about me, where do I fit in?" Adam asked.

The Octavian explained, "That is why we needed you to come along as well Mr. Park. Your experience as a Power Ranger and your martial arts prowess make you an asset. Also, the fact you and Miss Smith are so close will make you an important part of this team. That is, if you are willing to accept."

Adam nodded and answered, "Where Nia goes, I go!"

"Excellent," The Octavian said in satisfaction. "Professor Lambeau, proceed with the briefing. Tell them about our making contact with Angelica, and everything that followed."

The Professor got up, and Nia watched him take on that familiar authority he had in his lectures. "Of course, Inspector," he answered.

"Now Nia," He began. "Let me enlighten you on what happened while Adam and the Turbo Rangers turned over their powers."

Supreme Commander Vishtoth of the Deevil Empire strode into a refurnished throne room. Looking at the brimstone stalactites, stalagmites, and lava pools, he smirked. One would never think that this place used to belong to an arrogant fool. One who proclaimed himself Emperor of all that he saw, he thought to himself.

The Deevil, who looked like one of the devils of Earth legend, walked over to the throne and sat in it. Vishtoth thought out loud, "Zedd and Zerak, you idiots! You had all that power! You had a child who was the perfect killing machine, and you let a bunch of teenagers help her escape!"

A puff of smoke announced the arrival of a pink-skinned Deevil. One with pointy ears, long muscular arms, goat-like legs and hooves. His eyes were yellow, and beamed with intelligence. The Deevil also had blue hair on his head, shaped like a mohawk. "What is it, Impharo?" Vishtoth asked in annoyance.

The creature clicked his clawed hands together. "Supreme Commander, the reconstruction of Zedd's old palace is almost complete. The upgrades are almost complete also, all ahead of schedule."

Vishtoth nodded in satisfaction. "Excellent, the Empress and Emperor demand efficiency out of our race."

The Imp class servant explained, his tone shaky, "There is um…some bad news. It would appear the assassins we sent down to deal with Nia of Dikaria and Adam Park have failed in their task. Angel Force has managed to get them."

The Supreme Commander's eyes lit up with fiery light. The Deevil slammed his hands down on his throne in rage, causing the Imp servant to scamper away in fear. Many dead bodies had come from not fearing the wrath of Supreme Commander Vishtoth. Those who served him did so out of fear, as they knew of how he could kill without a second's hesitation. "This is unacceptable," he snarled. "Find them at once, obliterate them!"

A set of booted feet approached the throne room. A sultry female voice answered, "My lord and my love."

A Female Deevil entered. Vishtoth smiled at her. "Shitara my love, what does my second-in-command and Chief bodyguard have to report?"

"I have good news," she explained. "We have found Nia of Dikaria and the Earthling ape she loves. Angel Force have them on that wretched Battle Train contraption. They're heading for the Angel Force base. By using the signals in the Earthlings' own satellites, we've been able to track them."

Vishtoth relaxed. "My dear, you've made my day. Order the Darkfliers to teleportal in! Destroy that train, and kill everyone on board! I want everyone on that train beaten, broken, and very dead, especially that…Dikarian!"

The female Deevil curtsied. "By your will Commander Vishtoth."

The Deevil left, while Impharo shivered in a corner. He looked at the Commander. The leader of the Deevil force assigned to the conquest of Earth stated, "You may leave Impharo."

The creature was on his feet and bowed. "My…my Lord, your mercy is a blessing to me," he stammered.

The imp-class servant turned and scampered out. Vishtoth harrumphed. "Imp-Class, so pathetic," he spat, before he let out an evil laugh, anticipating what was to come.

Well folks, part 2 of The Coming of Angel Force is complete. Nia and Adam are about to get lectured on what's going on. But it looks as though the Deevils are about to send more trouble their way.
