Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Wraith Squadron. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Star Wars. LucasArts and Disney do.

The Lambda Class T-4a shuttle slowly coasted towards Skystrike Academy. One of the cadets next to Trevcolt decided to speak up.

"Did you know that the Lambda travels 528 miles per hour?" The cadet stated. "218 miles slower then the standard TIE fighter." The cadet put in which caused Trevcolt to hum.

He turned to see a freckled hair teen with short brown hair and innocent blue. It made him look much younger then he actually was.

"We know, Bardec." Someone else said. "You've only said it 20 times. I'm not here to spend time trying to analyze every damn detail, I'm here to fly." The cadet stated as the shuttle started to drift to a stop.

The girl had cold jade eyes with fiery crimson hair to match which was pulled into a pony tail. She looked ready to uncoil like a serpent.

"Your itching to get inside a TIE?" Trevcolt questioned which caused the girl to turn to him.

"You aren't?" She questioned in response. "We've been traveling for 2 hours. I didn't come to spend time sitting in some cramped shuttle. I want to fly." She added which caused Trevcolt to chuckle.

"Trevcolt." Trevcolt said while offering his gloved hand. "Trevcolt Felcote. I'd like someone to remember that name before they give us the serial numbers we're supposed to use." Trevcolt said which caused the girl to look at his extended hand.

"Violan Silcal." The girl said and shook his hand. "But one person called me 'Vi.'" Violan added as the shuttle landed in one of the academies' hangers.

"Same family who helped design the Secutor Class Battlecarriers?" Trevcolt asked before Violan rolled her eyes.

"Don't turn into Bardec." Violan said before the front hatch started to hiss open. Trevcolt, Bardec, Violan, and the other 17 cadets filed out.

"Cadets!" The group heard as they lined up. "I am Instructor Goran. Welcome to Skystrike Academy… This is where the pride of the Imperial Navy is created." Goran stated as he walked in front of the group of teens.

The man wore a TIE flight suit like Trevcolt and the others did. It displayed only a few strands of brown hair. He studied the group which made him wonder if he wanted them here or not.

"You will be tested far beyond what you believe is possible." Goran stated which caused Trevcolt and Violan to share raised eyebrows. "Since I know many of you wish to fly? We will have a mock exercise at 2200 hours. I'll allow you to rest after that… Then we will have official exercises at 1000 hours tomorrow morning." Goran added before looking at the students.

"Follow me." Goran said and then walked through the hanger door.

The cadets followed the instructor which made Trevcolt curious what they'd go to. Goran knew the group of 18-19 teenagers wanted nothing more then to get behind the controls of a TIE Fighters.

However, they were cocky, arrogant. Traits that didn't belong among the Imperial Navy in his opinion. Still? Their enthusiasm that they openly displayed on his face told him just how well they'd be willing to follow instructions.

"So, which planet are you from?" Trevcolt questioned Violan as they walked through the academy. "I don't know a lot about the Silcal family besides how they create imperial ships." Trevcolt said which caused Violan to sigh.

"I used to live on Anaxes…" Violan said as Trevcolt winced. "My family moved to Fondor after… Well, the holonet told you what happened." Violan stated and sighed.

Trevcolt sighed and nodded. The destruction of Anaxes was something that the entire galaxy was informed of. The planet was one of the most important shipbuilding worlds in the galaxy.

"Sorry you can't come back…" Trevcolt stated as he sighed. "I'm from Yerbana. The Separatists invaded in the last year of the war." Trevcolt said while their class continued to tour the facility.

"Those rouge terrorists ruin everything they touch." Violan stated with a snarl. "Their as bad as the insurrectionists my father found trying to sabotage one of his production lines. My father said the explosion they would have caused would have killed 200 workers… Parasites." Violan added as her lips curled into a frown.

A swift clearing of the throat from Goran caused the duo to turn back to him.

"We should talk after the exercise." Trevcolt said before he and Violan turned and walked away.

"Yeah, the sooner we get to fly TIES?" Violan asked as they followed after Goran. "The sooner we join the legions of pilots protecting the empire." Violan stated which caused Trevcolt to nod.

"Yeah, you said it." Trevcolt said as he and Violan followed after Goran.

They were eager to fly, even if it's pretended flight.

He and Violan didn't know that a band of said Insurrectionists had tracked the shuttle to the academy… And would strike tomorrow.
