Welcome back Power Rangers fans, to another chapter of the coming of Angel Force. In the last chapter, Nia, and company fled from Stephen Hawking University. No sooner were they on the road, then the Deevils sent down some of their Road Demon troops to try and kill them. The van had some little surprises of its own though, in the form of powerful weaponry. After defeating the Road Demons, the group reached a mobile base known as the Battle Train. Once aboard, Nia and the others are racing to the base of this group called Angel Force.
Commander Vistoth of the Deevils, learned of the situation. He decided to send down troops known as Darkfliers. What other secrets does this group known as Angel Force have? Find out as the coming of Angel Force continues.

Nia and Adam watched the screen. The video talked of the various ports from which Angelica could launch. The Free Worlds Alliance were sparing no expense in the defense of Earth. But considering the enemies who've taken an interest in Earth, it's expected. First Rita Repulsa, then Lord Zedd. Count Dregon and Lester Shok, Mondo and the Machine Empire, and now Divatox teaming up with Zerak. God, Earth's had some rough times, Nia thought to herself.
Nia returned her thoughts to watching the screen. As they were about to begin discussing a hidden ramp, the video shut down. The room lights turned on. James Ferguson looked around. "Evelyn, I didn't tell you to stop. Reactivate the video please."
"I'm sorry James, I can't do that." The voice of the A.I. system responded.
James looked outraged. "And why not?" he growled.
"Because dear, we've got company!" The A.I. responded in a patient tone.
That took everyone on the train by surprise. "I've got a bad feeling," Nia muttered to Adam.
The Asian man nodded to his girlfriend and answered, "Likewise."
"Show us," Carlton ordered.
The screen before them lit up. It showed the side of the train. The sky looked blue and cloudless, and the scenery that passed by was pleasant enough. But off in the distance, coming towards them, were many black specks. A smaller screen appeared and zoomed in on the specks. They turned out to be humanoid creatures with yellow eyes that had red irises. They'd extended their feathery wings. that helped them glide through the air like birds of prey. Nia's eyes widened as she was on her feet. "Darkfliers!" she called.
Adam got to his feet. "What's the scoop on those things Nia?"
"Those things are the Deevils' air to land soldiers. Excellent fliers, and they're deadly in combat." Nia answered.
James Ferguson stated as he stood up, "Evelyn, go to defense mode!"
"At once dear." The A.I. answered.
A red light flashed as an alarm started buzzing. Evelyn's voice called out, "All personnel to battle stations! I repeat, all train personnel to battle stations! This is not a drill!"
Nia and the others watched as armor plating lowered over the windows. Across the train, hidden compartments opened up. From those compartments, unfolded laser cannons of various kinds. There was even an energy disk cannon. All, high-quality technology. "The Free Worlds Alliance is serious about protecting Earth," Nia observed.
Adam added, "With the way the Power Rangers are busy with the Butcher and Divatox, can you blame them?'
Nia shook her head. "Watch the screen you two," James explained. "You'll find this interesting."
"All right," Carlton Brunswick stated. "Let's see what the weapon systems of the Battle Train can do against those flyin' freaks!"
"All cannons and weapon systems ready dear." The A.I. told them.
"Evelyn, dispersion pattern Delta!" The C.I.A. operative ordered.
On the screen, red targets appeared in front of the winged creations of the Deevils."
"Ready!" Evelyn called.
Nia watched Ferguson raise a finger. "Fire," He ordered.
Nia heard the sounds of the cannons erupting to life. Bolts of energy flew towards the winged Deevil creations. Some blasts struck the creatures, the rest scattered. Before anyone could say anything, Evelyn spoke up. "Enemy at 2 o' clock!"
One of the train cameras turned to show another group of Darkfliers coming in. And this group was much larger. "Evelyn," James Ferguson called.
Target crosshairs lit up the screen as the weapons turned and fired on the larger group. As with the other group, they got blasted or scattered. A louder alarm started ringing. "Attention," Evelyn warned over the din. "Some Darkfliers have gotten through and are about to land on the train."
Nia smirked and rolled her shoulders. "Oh good," she quipped, fleshing a predatory smile. "I'd been looking for another workout."
Adam smiled and added. "I'll join you. To be honest, I've been looking forward to taking on some more of these Deevil troops. Let's see how tough they are!"
"Think you can keep up with me, hootani?" she asked, in a flirtatious tone.
Adam responded with, "Ges drathus est, moos te cheth!" which in Dikarian meant, "I'll keep up with you, and then some."
Carlton whistled. "Will you lovebirds come on," he snapped.
"A moment," James called.
The C.I.A. agent walked over to a compartment and pressed a button. It opened, and revealed three laser pistols like the one James carried. "Aw yeah, now we're talking!" Adam cheered.
"Got that right brother," Carlton stated with a nod.
Nia couldn't help but smirk as she grabbed her own pistol. Good thing Corpus Christie has firearm ranges. It's kept my skill sharp, Nia thought to herself as the four raced for the door.
Nia heard Brunswick call to the guards, "Boys, stay here and keep an eye on things. Be ready in case the enemy tries something!"
Nia looked over the pistol and figured what the stun option was. She heard the weapon power up as she made a mad dash for the exit. It didn't take long for them to find the car the Darkfliers had landed on. They heard something sharp cutting into the metal of the train. It sounded like cat claws on a chalkboard, as the metal was being torn away. Nia arrived at the car, as a Darkflier with bracer blades leapt into the train. Above was the rather noticeable large hole in the roof. Nia wasted no time, she aimed her pistol and fired. The creature let out an inhuman scream when hit, and stumbled backwards. Nia put her pistol away, and rushed forward, her combat experience coming to her. She ducked under the thing as it struck out with its bracer blades like scythes. She rolled under the blow, and came to her feet. She slid back as she caught the creature with a front hook kick to the head. The thing slammed into a wall of the train. It bounced off, and fell to the ground. But, to Nia's surprise, the creature swung its legs forward, got to its feet, and let out a caw of rage. As Daddy Zeran would say, that's unexpected, she thought.
The monster took another swipe at her. Nia dropped to the floor, again dodging the blow. She tried for a leg sweep, but the monster leapt over it. Nia dove out of the way as the creature tried a stomp attack. She leapt to her feet and side kicked the creature's chest, then landed a hard elbow shot to the chest. As the creature bent over in pain, Nia continued the brutal assault with a knee strike to the chest. Nia finished the creature off with two hard palm strikes to the sides of the creature's head. It let out a shriek as the skull shattered. It melted into ghost white goop that the Deevils made their monsters from.
Nia looked around the train, hating the fact she had to fight in such cramped quarters. Then she saw Adam, bruised and battered, was having problems with a Darkflier that had him in a head lock. Nia tried to go after him…before an arm wrapped around her throat and squeezed. "Can't have you doing that!" A high-pitched bird-like voice sneered.
Nia gasped as she felt the Darkflier squeezing harder. Nia calmed herself, and elbowed the creature in the gut. It grunted in pain and lost its hold. Nia slipped out as she gulped down sweet air. She glared at the Darkflier that had snuck up on her. Then she heard the other one grunt in pain. Nia backed away from her opponent, and felt Adam's back touch hers. "Nia, on my mark." Adam told her.
Nia didn't need to say anything. She knew the tone her boyfriend was using. This was a tactic they'd used before. And it had worked wonders when fighting Putties, Iggies, Cogs, or even Pirahnatrons. Nia closed her eyes as she sensed Adam and the Darkfliers. The world seemed to slow down as Nia calmed herself down. She opened her eyes to see the Darkflier recovering. "Good bye, Dikarian scum!" her attacker taunted.
"And the Earth monkey is mine!" The other Darkflier snapped.
Deadly claws extended from the gloves that the Darkfliers wore. The creatures then leapt at the two. Nia felt Adam drop to the floor. She ducked, in time to catch her opponent with a front kick to the face. She heard Adam do the same. The creatures crashed into each other face first. Nia and Adam rolled to their feet and out of the way as the two creatures landed on the floor. The things melted into ghost white goop. Another one dropped down into the car…only to get hit by laser blasts. Nia and Adam taking that as their cue, pulled out their laser blasters, and set them to full power. They blasted the creature, which screamed in pain as it was flung back. The monster melted into a disgusting puddle of goop. Nia looked upwards to see another Darkflier about to drop in. Nia and Adam fired their laser blasters, catching it in the chest. The creature screamed in pain as it was flung off the train. Carlton ran towards them, a look of disgust on his face. "No matter how many times I see some of those Deevil varmints die, I'm still sickened."
"They sure don't die in a pleasant way, do they?" James Ferguson added.
"Excuse me, Evelyn wasn't it?" Nia inquired.
"That's right Nia." The A.I. acknowleged.
"Are there any more Darkfliers around?" She asked.
"No dear, you got them all," the A.I. assured.
James Ferguson put his pistol away and sighed. "Evelyn, get a message to Angel Force command. We're coming in, and we got some work for the repair crews."
"Already sending the message dear," Evelyn told him.
"I love having an A.I. system that's so efficient." The C.I.A. operative commented.
They returned to the meeting room and found Dr. Lambeau waiting there. "Is everything all right? Nia, are you hurt?"
She smirked. "Those Darkfliers were tougher than I thought, but nothing Adam and I couldn't handle."
The professor sighed in relief. "You still are one of my best students, I know I haven't been completely honest with you but…"
Nia sighed and waved it off. "No, no it's no less then what my Godfather, Zordon, asked of me when I joined up with the Power Rangers."
"I'm surprised you still think of the Altarians with such fondness." The Professor noted. "You do know they have a unique sense of humor."
Nia cringed and answered. "Believe me professor, I'm well aware of the infamy of Altarian humor. I've experienced it firsthand."
"Well, now that that little interruption's over," James put in. "Let's get back to the matter of your briefing."
"Definitely!" Nia agreed.
She sat back down on the couch. The information continued on for another half hour. Finally, the video came to an end. "James, we're approaching Angel Force HQ." Evelyn informed them.
"Thank you, can you get a secure line on with the base?"
"Ready to go James," She answered.
"Very good, get a hold of Herman." The CIA agent told the A.I.
A burly looking black man dressed in the clothes of a mechanic appeared on the screen. "Sergeant George Herman here, James is that you?"
"It is George, you and the repair crew better get to the bay. The Battle Train is coming in, and she's taken on some damage from some Darkfliers who wanted to stop by and say hello."
"Hold on," George said as he moved to a control pad. "You're coming into range of the long-distance scanners."
Nia listened as there was a long pause. "Sweet mother of Jesus!" He yelped, his face contorting in stunned disbelief. "What the Hell caused those overgrown buzzards to tear up the Battle Train like that?"
"To make a long story short Sergeant, we have Nia Smith and Adam Park both. And it looks as though the Deevils have taken exception to that fact."
"Taken exception is an understatement, I'd say we stirred them up worse than a Hornet's nest!
"Anyway, you and the repair crews better get ready for some work. Also, let General Travers know we have said persons," James added.
"Roger that, we'll see you soon, stay on your toes."
"Always do George, Ferguson out." He said before the communication ended.
Nia commented. "You realize the Deevils aren't going to sit on their heels and do nothing."
Up in space, Impharo yelped in pain and fear as he was flung against a wall by an angry Vishtoth. The Deevil commander looked over the report. "This can't be happening," the Deevil Supreme Commander snarled. "We Deevils are some of the finest soldiers in the galaxy, and our minions are unbeatable! Yet our Darkfliers died by a Dikarian, her Earthling boyfriend, and others?!" he roared in disbelief.
Impharo continued trembling, even as the Imp class Deevil spoke. "Forgive me oh Great Supreme Commander, we underestimated Angel Force's abilities."
"Silence!" He bellowed at the top of his lungs.
The Imp curled up in a corner in fear. The Deevil Commander was furious. This was not how things needed to go. "I'm one of the top Commanders of the Imperial Deevil Empire! I recognize that we Deevils are the master race of the universe, and it is our right to bring order! Yet, a bunch of primitive Earth apes and that escaped Dikarian, managed to defeat our forces?"
The Deevil was about to unleash another blast of energy on Impharo, when he halted. His demonic face lit up with thought. The Deevil took long, slow deep breaths as he meditated on an idea. Then he smiled. "So, Nia of Dikaria, this is the way you and your Angel Force apes want to play hmm? "The Deevil then chuckled.
"Impharo," he snapped.
The Imp class Deevil got to his feet and walked towards him trembling in fear. "You wish something of me great Vishtoth?" the Imp asked.
"I do, are the Gargantuan Beast pens complete?"
"Oh yes my lord," The Imp class Deevil confirmed. "The Gargantuan Beast pens are ready, and all beasts placed within."
Vishtoth smirked and rubbed his hands. "Excellent, you've spared yourself the pain of another beating Impharo." The Deevil leaned down from his throne. "Tell Gargantuan Beast Keeper Ballic, I wish to speak with him!" He commanded.
"I will send him to you at once!"
The Imp scampered out. A few minutes later, Vishtoth felt the tingle of the air becoming colder. Into the room, strode a Deevil with light blue skin, hooved feet, and a pointy tail that had spikes jutting from it. In his enlarged clawed hands, he carried a formidable looking tri-whip. The Deevil oozed an aura of bone chilling cold. This was Ballic, a member of the Ice Deevil Class of their race. They specialized in being as cold and ruthless as the cold that emanated from them. That was what made them some of the finest Gargantuan Beast Keepers in the Empire. Ballic kneeled before Vishtoth, then rose before he spoke. "What is your command, milord?"
"Prepare to send the Imp Enforcer to Corpus Christie. It's time we introduced ourselves to that wretched city!"
"I understand," The Beast Keeper regarded as one of the best of the best confirmed. "I will make preparations at once."
The Deevil was about to turn and leave, but paused. "My lord, a question if you will?"
"Speak your mind, Ballic." Vishtoth stated.
"Milord, I mean no disrespect, but wouldn't it be more advisable if we went to Angel Grove? It might be wiser going after the Power Rangers and that annoying wizard. Don't they represent a bigger threat than one mere Dikarian and the apes of Angel Force?"
The Supreme Commander shook his head. "Valid questions Ballic. But we must remember, this isn't any ordinary Dikarian, this is Nia! She was Zerak's ultimate weapon. The perfect child soldier, and the only one who can operate that blasted Zord Angelica. Mix in former Ranger Adam Park, and the F.W.A, and we have a problem. We'll deal with the Power Rangers and Zeran in due time. Nia of Dikaria and Angel Force are the immediate threat! Human adaptability and their DNA will make our forces unstoppable. Then nothing will stop us from bringing order to the galaxy. The Empress and the Emperor were very specific when they assigned me to this mission."
Ballic nodded and answered, "If that is the will of our rulers then it will be."
"All praise to the Empress and Emperor!" Vistoth proclaimed.
The Ice Deevil clapped his hands together and recited, "All praise to the Empress and Emperor!"
The Ice Deevil left. "Nia of Dikaria," Vishtoth growled. "You've received a miniscule reprieve. Let's see how well you do against the Imp Enforcer, you stupid little girl!"
The Deevil stared out of the palace at the Earth, far below.
Back on Earth, Nia saw a large base coming closer. Her mouth dropped open in awe. The facility had walls and buildings that jutted from a large mountainside. She whistled, impressed. "You went for secrecy, didn't you?"
"We had to take some measure of precautions dear." Evelyn answered. "Nothing personal, but you've seen how people are. They're still having a hard time dealing with intergalactic maniacs attacking Earth."
Nia nodded. "Yes, hard enough humans are realizing they're not the only sentient species in the universe. But now they know not all sentient life is friendly. It's shaken the Earth humans to the core."
Nia felt a familiar hand take one of hers. She turned to see Adam standing next to her. "Don't worry babe, you're the sexiest humanoid alien woman I've ever met." He whispered to her.
"You say that, because you're the only man I've let have their way with me." She whispered back in a salacious tone.
Adam kissed her, then added, "And because it's true."
Nia smiled and turned to watch as the Battle Train rolled on. Finally, it entered a long tunnel. James called out. "This is Agent Ferguson with the Battle Train, we're on final approach now."
A female voice said over the speaker, "Roger that Battle Train, the repair teams await your arrival. And, oh wow, those Darkfliers did do a number on the roof!"
Nia heard James say, "Yup, they did Mira, and what of General Travers?"
"The General is waiting to meet you, Miss Smith, and Mr. Park." The voice of Mira answered.
"Roger that and thank you, over and out!"
Nia and Adam watched as the train continued through the lit tunnel, slowing down. It wasn't long before the train came to a complete stop. Everyone got up from their seats. Professor Lambeau added, "I've known Douglas Travers for many years Nia. I can tell you as a matter of certainty, he's trustworthy."
Their route took them through the car the Darkfliers had broken into. Mechanics were assessing the damage done. The group stepped through some doors, and into a base that was a bastion of activity. Vehicles and people were going to and from their various jobs. Nia saw a man with graying blonde hair dressed in the attire of a four-star general. The man had a well-trimmed mustache on his face, and the look of someone who had seen a great deal of action over the years. On spotting Dr. Lambeau, he approached, his face lighting up with genuine warmth. "Adrian, you brilliant son of a gun, glad to see you made it."
"I did sir, but if you don't mind," He asked in a sheepish tone. "Could this be the last time I have to keep secrets from anyone? I don't think Nia appreciated us keeping such important matters from her."
Douglas Travers nodded. Then he turned his attention to the red-haired Dikarian girl and her boyfriend. "Miss Nia Smith and Mister Adam Park, I presume?" he asked, extending a hand to each.
They took the hand and shook it. "As Chief Commander of Angel Force, I welcome you to our base. Thank you both for coming."
Nia nodded and answered. "After Adam and the Power Rangers freed me and Angelica, I swore I would protect this planet to the best of my ability."
Thank you, sir. My time as a Ranger is over, but it seems my time protecting Earth isn't."
The General nodded. "I'm glad you two are on Earth's, and America's, side."
The older man then moved to his coat, and pulled something out. She gasped as she saw the amulet with the picture of Angelica's face carved into it. "Your adopted father sent this to us, and gave Angelica a message for you."
Nia took the amulet, her hands trembling. Nia put it around her neck, and felt a familiar presence enter her mind. "Hello Nia," the voice of Angelica greeted.
"Hello old friend," Nia answered in a shaky voice, trying to keep the tears from flowing.
"I told you we'd meet up again. If there's one thing working with Zeran and the other Rangers should've taught you, evil doesn't sleep."
Nia nodded and sent back, it's good to see you too. But I figured Daddy and the F.W.A would've been working on an actual body to house you in.
"They are, but these things take time. With Divatox and Zerak running amuck, Zeran doesn't have that much time on his hands."
Nia turned her focus back on the conversation Adam and the General were having. "Zeran always taught me sir, once a ranger, always a ranger. Besides, where Nia goes, I go."
"And something tells me we're going to need you Mr. Park." The general observed.
General Travers looked at Nia. "Now if you and Mr. Park will follow…" he began.
The alarms for the base screamed to life. "What's that?" Nia called.
"Warning, Deevil teleportal opening near Corpus Christie! I repeat, Deevil teleportal opening near Corpus Christie!" Evelyn stated.
The General called out, "Someone shut off that alarm!"
The alarm shut off as Travers looked around. "Evelyn, what do your scanners show about this portal?"
"It's large enough to fit an army through." The A.I. answered.
Nia's face paled. "Or one very large beast." She surmised.
Travers shot Nia a horrified look. The woman's face paled as terrible understanding dawned on her. She answered the unasked question. "The Deevils are about to send one of their Gargantuan beasts to Corpus Christie."
"Then there's no time to waste," Travers stated. "Nia, are you up for this?"
Her soldier instincts returned once more. "More than willing sir!" was her answer.
Nia extended her amulet. "Angelica!" She shouted.
Nia felt a beam of light strike her. She teleported into the powerful Angel-like zord she had piloted for so long. Once more unto the Breach dear friends, Nia thought to herself.
Uh-oh, hold on tight folks, Nia's about to head into battle once again. When she gets into Angelica, her enemies are going to wish they'd never been born. Get ready, because in the next chapter, things are going to get interesting. Come back next time for part 4 of "The Coming of Angel Force'. Until next time Power Rangers fans, read and review, and have a nice day!
