Welcome Power Rangers fans, to another chapter of the coming of Angel Force. Last chapter, Nia and company made their rendezvous, and boarded the Battle Train. Their ultimate destination, Angel Force HQ.
Up in space, Supreme Commander Vishtoth of the Deevil Empire wasn't pleased. To try and stop Nia, he sent down the Deevils' Darkflier troops. Despite Angel Force's best efforts, some Darkfliers got past the Battle Train's defenses. Forced into combat, Nia and her allies managed to defeat the air to land soldiers.
The companions arrived at Angel Force headquarters, and met General Douglas Travers. But before they could have anything beyond introductions, the Deevils opened a teleportal. Nia surmised they're about to send a Gargantuan Beast to attack Corpus Christie.
Now Nia and Angelica are together, and about to go into battle. Get ready for the final chapter of the coming of Angel Force.

Nia closed her eyes as she felt Angelica scanning her. After several moments, Angelica spoke. "Scanning complete, all bio systems green. I see you haven't been slacking off on your training Nia."
The Dikarian opened her eyes. "Considering the Butcher and the Deevils, I can't."
"A wise move." Angelica noted.
"Nia," The Dikarian heard Douglas Travers say over the communicator. "Is everything ready in there?"
"All systems are green sir," she answered.
"Well then Doc, the floor's yours." Nia heard the General say.
Dr. Lambeau spoke up. "Right, move Angelica to launch track three. Prepare to open the mountain doors!"
A screen appeared, showing Angelica ascending to a chamber with several tracks. Angelica was then turned to launch track three. "Prepare catapult to launch Angelica!" Nia heard professor Lambeau commanded.
Nia knew all about this as she prepared herself for the jolt that was about to occur. She'd had this happen before, when Zerak had launched her from his Dark Fortress to attack a world. Only this time, I'm protecting not destroying, Nia thought with a measure of relief.
"Good luck babe, give them hell," Adam called over the speaker.
Nia smirked. "I plan to Adam."
Nia took a moment and felt the battle suit she was now wearing. As with her time with the Power Rangers, the suit didn't feel like shackles. Nia returned her mind to the present, and her forthcoming fight. A female voice called out, "Launching in 5…4…3…2…1," and then, "Activating catapult."
Nia felt the jarring jolt of the catapult launching Angelica, as the jets on the wing flier activated. Nia didn't even flinch, as she could handle this. She felt the rush of gravity push against her. She watched her zord shoot up the launch track, propelled by her jets and the catapult thrust. This is faster than when Zerak ever launched me, she observed.
"Nia," General Travers called. "You have a message from your adopted father."
Nia gasped. "That's right, I do!"
"Don't worry," Angelica assured. "I'm hooked in with your living quarters communicator and have the message."
"Give me it as soon as we're airborne Angelica!"
"Compliance," The A.I. system for the fighting Zord responded.
A moment later it added, "Approaching mountain opening in three seconds."
Nia looked at the screen and saw the open double doors ahead. Angelica was still picking up speed. And then it sailed out the hanger doors, and off the launch track. But Angelica did not stop, if anything, the robot soared into the air. "We are airborne, and have achieved flight speed." Angelica reported.
"At this possible speed, we should be there in three minutes. The HQ is not that far from the city, quite surprising." The A.I. noted.
Nia's face furrowed. "So, why did the Battle Train take so long?"
Dr. Lambeau answered the question. "Partly it was to try and insure the Deevils didn't take an interest in the base. Also, the Battle Train can't achieve the speed that Angelica can."
"Dr. Lambeau's right, the Battle Train and Battle Van can't achieve the kind of speed I can. There's a high probability it comes from their ground vehicle function." Angelica pointed out.
"I see," Nia noted. "Okay Angelica, show me Daddy Zeran's message."
"Activating message now," the A.I. acknowledged.
Beside the screen which showed the world, another picture appeared. It was Zeran, wearing his usual teacher attire. The man with hair that went down to his shoulders and thick glasses smiled. "Hello Nia," He greeted in genuine warmth. "I hope life at Steven Hawking University has been good to you. I'm sorry I had to get you involved in this life again. But to be frank, I need your help. As you no doubt know, the Deevils have set their sights on our world. As much as I'd like to have the Power Rangers deal with this problem, there's still Divatox and Zerak to deal with. Also, I have a bad feeling that, other than Justin, this set of Power Rangers have a bit too much of an attitude. I fear I may have to put them through boot camp soon in order for them to understand what we're up against here."
"I knew it, I knew it! I knew these new Power Rangers were going to have problems!" The Dikarian muttered to herself.
Zeran sighed in consternation and shook his head. "I know, I know, I realize you told me in private there was potential for some problems with these new rangers. I should've listened to you and headed this off at the pass to begin with."
Zeran took another breath. "But that's neither here nor there. What matters is, with Divatox and Zerak still on the prowl, I'm preoccupied. You must stop the Imperial Deevil Empire! They can't plunder another planet the way they have so many others. I realize I'm asking a lot, but I need you and Angelica. I need your power, and your magic. Please dear, help me," he pleaded.
Nia felt a tear come to her eye, she wiped it away. "Daddy, you don't even need to ask. Of course, I'll help, after you and the Earth have given me so much, this is the least I can do." She whispered.
"Please my dear, you're the only one I can turn to for help. Take care vesdreth," Zeran explained, using the Dikarian word for 'cherished daughter'. "And be well."
Nia closed her eyes, as she felt the tears welling up. She took several deep breaths to calm herself. "Nia, are you all right, I can sense your stress levels rising." Angelica stated in concern.
The voice of Dr. Lambeau also asked. "Nia dear, I hope neither the General or I have upset you."
Nia calmed down. "No, it's all right, I'm remembering all the times back in Angel Grove with Daddy Zeran." She then whispered under her breath. "Fashalith esu, ni drath, keh nichalist!" which translated from Dikarian meant, "Beloved father, you need say no more, of course I will help."
"It's safe to say, based on your comments, you've made your decision?" The zord A.I. asked.
"You know me too well Angelica, prepare for battle against a Gargantuan Monster." She commanded.
"Compliance Nia." Angelica responded.
"Warning," A female voice called over the communication system. "Detecting energy surge from the Deevil Teleportal."
Nia's face paled, "No," she whispered. "They're already making their move." She looked around. "Angelica, time to teleportal."
"We'll be on it in thirty seconds Nia."
When they reached the portal, they saw a hideous creature step forth. It had bat-like wings, and pink skin. Yellowed canines jutted from its lower mouth and it had yellowed eyes with black pupils. A tuft of blue hair crowned its head, and it wore gladiatorial armor. Nia grimaced and said, "It's the Imp Enforcer! A lower-class Gargantuan monster, but still formidable."
"Careful Nia." She heard Adam advise. "I wish I could be there to help."
Professor Lambeau's voice answered, "Patience boy, in due time."
Nia thought to herself, what's that supposed to mean?
The hooved giant monster started towards Corpus Christie. "Angelica, intercept!" Nia commanded.
Angelica dove at the beast as Nia extended her arms. The fighting Zord responded to her movement exactly. The monster let out a distorted ape-like shriek of challenge. Angelica tackled the beast, then gained altitude. The struggling monster got carried away from the city at full speed. Nia grimaced as she felt the gigantic monster pound at her. But she kept flying. After some distance, she released the creature. The surprised beast dropped downwards. Somehow, it managed to straighten itself out. It flapped its bat-like wings to slow its descent. Nia watched as the creature dropped to the ground and landed. "Wing flyer, release!" Nia commanded.
Nia heard the clips of the wing flyer module for Angelica detaching from the zord. Angelica dropped downwards, Nia feeling the Earth's gravity pull at her. With practiced efficiency, Nia extended her arms, as she brought her feet together. Nia had received training in aerodynamic combat since she was 8 years old. With practiced skill, she landed Angelica on the ground and sank to one knee. As always, this system for Angelica held up for these kinds of drops.
Before her, the creature gazed on her enraged. The monster launched into a rush at her. Nia sprang into a rush at the creature, her familiar cold rage coming on. The two powerful beings collided with each other. Nia pushed with all her might at the creature, the monster doing likewise. Nia somehow managed to get enough of a grip on the beast to perform a suplex on the thing. The beast let out a yelp as it got hurled over, and crashed horned head first, to the Earth. Nia flipped into a ready stance, and turned to face the creature. "Good thing Brian taught me that suplex," she said to herself out loud.
The Imp Enforcer got to its feet and rushed Nia. She got caught by surprise when it grabbed her by the waist and flipped her over. Nia let out a yelp of surprise and disbelief. The Imp Enforcer drove her into the ground with a mighty power bomb. Nia let out a scream of pain. "Angelica," She stated between gritted teeth. "Damage report!"
"Minor damage to the back from that attack, nothing a hammer and some metal polish can't fix, thank you." The A.I. assured.
Angelica caught the beast with a kick attack, sending it stumbling back. Nia and Angelica pulled their legs back, then kicked forward, as they leapt to their feet. Nia and Angelica got into a ready stance. "You're going to have to do better than that you disgusting horned cretin!" Nia taunted, her words flowing from Angelica's speaker system.
The creature leapt up and down as it beat its chest letting out Chimpanzee like shrieks of challenge. "I do believe you've upset the thing's feelings."
Nia smirked. "Oh, boo hoo, I'm so ashamed, not!" she retorted.
Angelica chuckled in wry amusement. "I see Kimberly has influenced you."
The Dikarian girl smiled. "Of course, she gave me that and a better fashion sense."
The creature then rushed Nia again. Remembering what had happened before, the Dikarian chose to dodge the attack. She gave the creature a good kick in the rear. the Imp Enforcer stumbled forward, off balance. Nia got into a ready stance as did Angelica. The creature turned around, and then Nia noted the eyes of the creature begin to glow. "Warning, detecting massive energy surge!" The A.I. stated.
The warning came too late. The creature fired a blast of energy from its eyes that struck the zord. Nia screamed in pain as she and Angelica got flung backwards by the blast. Nia grimaced. "Damage report," she stated.
"Eye beam blast has chest hull integrity down to seventy percent!"
Nia gaped. "That thing did that much damage?" She squawked. "How could I have not seen it, or anticipated that much power from a Deevil monster?"
"I suspect the Deevils have gotten much stronger since we last saw them." Angelica surmised.
Nia and Angelica leapt to their feet. "We'll have to finish this quick; we can't afford to take many more of those attacks." Then a thought came to Nia. "Wait, an energy beam attack? That's right, we have such attacks also! Well, time to fight fire with fire!"
Nia crossed her arms over her chest, Angelica doing the same. The Imp Enforcer roared and prepared another eye beam blast. Nia and Angelica flung their arms downwards as the pilot called out, "Sacred eye blasters!"
Gold energy shot from Angelica's eyes. The Imp enforcer screamed in pain as the blast struck its chest, sending it stumbling back. The creature ran forward, it's eyes glowing as it shrieked in rage. "The Lower-Class Gargantuan creatures were always temperamental." Angelica observed.
Nia smirked. "I'm counting on that Angelica," she stated in a devious tone.
"Nia, you have that look of Zeran's, what are you planning?" Angelica asked, her holographic face showing a mechanical version of perplexment.
"Trust me on this partner, like our days with the Power Rangers." Nia told her.
The creature's eyes glowed a brighter red. Nia and Angelica tensed as the Dikarian explained, "Daddy Zeran taught us this. It's all in the approach, the timing," the Imp Enforcer prepared to fire. "And our will!" Nia shouted.
The Imp fired its eye beam attack…and missed! The powerful zord had leapt into the air at the last second. Nia and the great machine corkscrew twirled in the air. This maneuver was the sort not possible with any other zord. But Angelica was not ordinary, and Nia was no ordinary pilot. She was more than Zerak's weapon, she was her own warrior. One who had sworn to protect this, her new home world, with everything she had. And I will protect this world! Nia thought with conviction.
Nia and the zord landed behind the creature. The monster turned in time to receive a hard elbow to the sternum, followed by a quick upper cut. A hard side kick sent the creature tumbling to the ground. "Nia, I would recommend we finish this now." Angelica suggested.
"Exactly what I was thinking," the zord pilot stated.
She called out, "Wing sabers, release!"
The flyer for Angelica reappeared, before the largest feathers launched from it. The feathers were in fact, sabers with handles shaped like primaries. The blades dropped to the ground on either side of Angelica. Warrior and zord drew the swords and readied themselves for a final attack. "Sacred light energize!" Nia called out.
Angelica began to glow with a blinding light. As the creature got to its feet, it covered its eyes with a hand. Within Angelica, the A.I. for the zord called out, "Energy packs at full capacity!"
"Sacred blade strike!" Nia screamed.
The energy of Angelica got channeled into the sabers the zord carried. Nia and Angelica rushed the creature. It never had a chance to recover, as the double saber attack struck home in the creature's chest. Nia and Angelica stopped a short distance from the creature, as it screamed in pain. Unable to withstand the power, it exploded into bits and gore. "Confirmed, Imp Enforcer destroyed!" The A.I. cheered.
Nia sighed, then heard the internal alarms of Angelica go off. "Warning, detecting massive energy surge coming from above us!"
Nia and Angelica looked upwards. In the sky, a black circular image had appeared. Within, was a man with crimson red skin, large canines, and yellow eyes. Two large and pointy midnight black horns jutted from the sides of his head. Nia felt a momentary surge of fear as she recognized the figure…then that fear turned to rage. "Supreme Commander Vishtoth!" she snarled.
"Very good Weapon X, I see your skill has only improved since that idiot Zerak took you. I warned him that leaving one of you Dikarian scum alive was a bad idea."
Nia saw the image of Angelica appear. She nodded at the image. The face plate of Angelica opened and the compartment that held Nia extended. Nia looked up at the Image of the Deevil Supreme Commander. "Microphone system is on," Angelica told her.
"Don't ever call me Weapon X again! That was my name when I was a slave to that monster Zerak, my name is Nia Smith!" The Dikarian snapped.
The Deevil commander smiled in wry amusement. "I see that Zerak didn't do as good a job breaking your spirit as he believed. But then again, the man was always a little too egotistical and overconfident for his own good. You'll find, little girl, that stopping me won't be so easy. This world will belong to the Empire, shokbar!" The Deevil retorted, using a Deevil word for excrement.
"Call me what you will Deevil scum." She retorted. "But understand this, I am Nia Smith! I am the last of the Dikarians, pilot of Angelica, and friend of the Power Rangers! I am the proud daughter of Zeran the Merciful, and a defender of the planet Earth! You, the Wolf Blazers, and Zerak took Dikaria from me, I will not let you take my new home world!" She snapped.
Then she raised her fist high into the air and called out, "Lilushar Dikaria, lilushan Earth!"
"Your virtue signaling is quite amusing, Dikarian wretch." The Deevil chimed in a derisive tone.
Nia smirked and snapped, "It's not virtue-signaling, it's a sacred promise. I will not let you take Earth the way you took Dikaria!"
"We will see little girl; this battle was only the beginning."
Vishtoth's vision vanished. She felt the tension leave her body. "Nia, are you okay?" She heard Adam call over her communicator.
"I'm fine hootani." She reassured.
"I'd hoped that our days of fighting were over, I'm sorry you got dragged into this battle again."
"I should apologize to you, for getting you dragged into my past." She stated with a chuckle.
Nia heard her boyfriend chuckle. Even from this distance, she felt her man's genuine warmth and love. "Like I told you when I saved you from Dr. Manyclaws years ago, for you I'd do anything. Even if it means following you into the hell of your past, I'll help you fight your demons. Though I wish I could do more than offer emotional support."
"Don't worry Adam," Dr. Lambeau's voice interjected. "I suspect you will. How so, you and others will know in time. Meanwhile Nia, seems we're in the clear, get back to the base at once!"
Nia nodded and answered, "Of course professor."
Nia's compartment retracted into Angelica as the faceplate closed. Angelica leaped into the air, the wing blades and Angelica herself linking back up with the flyer. The zord flew back towards the base. A woman's voice called on the speaker, "Attention Angelica, we have you on our long-range scanners. You will arrive in three minutes. The mountain entrance will be ready for you to dock."
Nia nodded and answered, "Roger that Mira and Angel Force control."
"Coordinating with Evelyn for best angle to land. As soon as we're at the base, leave the rest to me Nia." Angelica added.
"it's…it's good to be working with you again Angelica. I've missed your company in my mind." Nia commented, in a conversational tone.
"I've missed your company too dear friend," The A.I. answered in her own warm tone. "It's good to have a sense of purpose again. But best brace yourself Nia, the Deevils did manage to score some damage. It's only going to get harder from here, remember how formidable Vishtoth was to begin with."
Nia nodded and answered, "Understood Angelica. I remember Daddy Zeran's lessons about how dangerous it is to underestimate an opponent."
Nia contemplated the day, and what she knew was coming. She looked upwards as she saw a screen appear. Before her stood a mountain. Part of it opened up, and a track extended. "Approach docking track." Mira called.
"Angelica, Nia, turn and drop down several feet to be in full compliance with the landing track." Evelyn told them.
"Already on it Nia." The A.I. of the zord informed her pilot.
The powerful fighting machine descended as instructed. Seconds later, there was a bump as she landed on the track. The landing clamps took hold, and transported the zord and pilot in. "Docking complete, well done Nia." Dr. Lambeau cheered.
"Angelica, activate the braking jets on the shoulders," Nia commanded.
"Compliance," the A.I. responded.
The shoulder jets fired, and Angelica slowed down as it approached the end of the track. A voice of a familiar engineer whistled. "I have to admit Nia," George Herman commented. "You and that robot of yours put up a hell of a fight, but looks like you took on a bit of damage. Can my crew and I be of help?"
Nia answered, "Sergeant Herman, Angelica will lead you through the procedures to fix her up. Please pay close attention as well…Angelica can be very touchy."
The black man's image appeared on her screen. "Ma'am, I've worked on some pretty touchy equipment, and got it purring like a kitten. There's a reason I'm one of the best engineers in the Army. Though I must admit, it'll be interesting working on a sentient fighting machine. But if Miss Angelica will place her trust in me, I'll fix her up real good."
"Based on your military record Sergeant George Herman, I can believe that." She answered.
Nia closed her eyes and touched the amulet around her neck. In a flash of light, she teleported from Angelica. She found herself back on the floor of the base…in time to see Adam approach. While Nia's heart was heavy knowing she would have to fight again, having Adam here made things easier. Embracing her boyfriend, she kissed the former Power Ranger and smiled. "You were great babe." Adam said to her.
"Thank you hootani, and I'm glad you're seeing this through with me."
Adam released her in time to see James Ferguson and Dr. Lambeau approaching her. "I'm glad you decided to join us Nia." The C.I.A. agent told her.
"I grieve for the fact I have to fight again. My biggest dream is a world where I won't have to," she responded.
"My dear, that was the dream of my own father, when he enlisted in the military to fight in World War II." Dr. Lambeau explained.
"Fighting so that one day you and others don't have to is the most patriotic thing anyone can do Miss Smith." James explained. "This country appreciates what you're doing."
"So, what happens now?" Nia asked.
"We wait until the Deevils make their next move." The CIA operative said with a shrug.
"Agent Ferguson, I have some information that you'll want. I know who the Supreme Commander of the Deevils is."
The agent nodded. "I heard mention of a name. A Supreme Commander Vishtoth, was it?"
Nia nodded her confirmation. "Come with me to the briefing room," Ferguson stated. "We'll take all the intel you have on him."
In the throne room of the Deevil base, Vishtoth pondered what happened. Impharo crept into the room. "My Lord, I'm sorry to inform you that…" the Imp began.
"I am well aware of what's happened Impharo, this was only a test, so there will be no punishment…this time."
"Thank you, sir, you are too kind!" Impharo responded as he groveled.
"Leave me!" The Deevil commanded.
Impharo scampered out. The Supreme Commander of the Deevils smirked. "Enjoy this victory Weapon X. The Imp Enforcer was only the start. You have no idea of the surprise that awaits."
The Deevil put a clawed finger to a hidden button on the throne. Seven images of cryogenic chambers appeared with seven humanoid figures within. "If my gargantuan beasts don't work, I have a superb backup plan. Either way, this world will soon be ours, and you and your allies will get swept aside! This will be delightful egg in the face of both Zeran, and that egomaniac Zerak! My Emperor and Empress will have this world!"
The Deevil commander laughed, knowing that the war had only begun.
