The first time he buys her flowers, it's because he wanted to make her feel special on her closing night, during a time when they weren't together and he had to hide an "I love you" behind "I'm a Donna fan" and "All I've got going on tonight is you".
The next time he buys her flowers, they've been dating a week and he has them delivered to the office. He spots them coming from the elevator, so he steps out of his office and rounds the corner so he can get a good viewpoint, dying to see her face when she sees them.
He watches as the delivery man places them on her desk, nodding her thanks to him. He continues to watch as she quickly glances around then grabs the card from it's holder, reading his words.
Her cheeks flush with a happy glow as she returns to her seat and a smile graces her lips. He gives her just a minute more before he's making his way toward her door, popping his head around the corner.
"Looks like you have a secret admirer," he says with a smirk.
Jumping slightly, not having noticed him there before, she meets his eyes with a happy smile on her lips that reaches all the way to her eyes, almost blinding him.
"You're something else, Specter," she responds in a hushed tone.
"You're just learning this now?" He retorts, clearly taking pleasure in the roll of her eyes.
After that, it becomes a new ritual for him, surprising her with flowers for absolutely no reason other than to bring a smile to her face.
