Walking through the entrance, she was in a pitch dark room with it's only illumination being a hole from the ceiling that gave light only to the middle of the room. Perplexing was the lone flower, bathing in the sun's rays. The flower was...looking at her yet it had no face. Moving to the left, the flower followed her movement. Moving to the right, the flower followed her movements once again.

"Um...h-hello?" Her voice came out rough, yet beautiful. Reaching for her throat she felt multiple scars on her throat, five to be exact. Lowering her hand, she went back to focusing at the flower. Hesitantly, she walks up to the flower and bends down to touch it. Once her hand touched a single petal, the voices started.

Great whispers of knowledge, of things men and woman were never supposed to know. Even with a silver of this forbidden knowledge, she saw the Cosmos. The cold place beyond the skies. She felt dread as she stared at the abyss of the Cosmos.

And the cosmos stared right back at her.

"What the heck is wrong with this lady?"

Flowey thought in his head as he stared at a woman, a GROWN woman, wearing clothing that could best be described as foreign. Right now she was looking up at the ceiling and screaming in absolute terror. He didn't know what she was seeing but maybe now she can see him. He did need to hurry up, Toriel is probably sprinting right now after hearing this lady scream.

"Howdy, Im Flowey the Flower." Flowey says his line in absolute fake joy. The woman stops her screaming and looks at him with absolute terror. Why would she be afraid of little ole' me? She has that sick looking saw and a gun. Was she...new to this? Oh boy, this is gonna be so much easier now.

"Golly, you look so confused. That must mean you're new here. Here, I'll teach you how things work around." Flowey was used to it already, everything turning black and white his surroundings becoming dark. For the woman, she looked around frantically and raised her saw slightly. Good, while she was distracted he would check her stats real quick.

Scarlett (Saber) the Hunter

LV: 1. BLV: 28

HP: 682 (20) ATK: 108 (10) DEF: 150 (10)

Flowey blinked...then he internally screamed. She was only LV 1 but her extra stat, "BLV", was higher than the LOVE after, y'know, killing the entirety of the Underground. What was BLV anyway? Why is her HP, ATK, and DEFENSE so high?! This shouldn't be POSSIBLE!

Flowey heard bare feet hitting the ground behind him. That's when Flowey knew, he was all out of time.

She heard it, the pattering of bare feet on dirt/stone ground. Looking behind Flowey, she was met with a horrifying sight. It had a goat-like head structured with droopy ears and short horns. It has a pair of visible fangs and long eyelashes, and it's irises have a dark red tint. It is anthropomorphic, with paws at the end of her limbs. Strangely, it wears a long purple robe that displays a Rune on it's chest. Immediately, her mind was assaulted with memories of something like this creature. She holds her head as the memories rush through. A sweet song played in her mind as darkness took over.

A gothic bridge, leading to a grand cathedral of blood

A large Beast, covered in fur with an horrifying howl

A Hunter of Moon, charging towards the Beast with saw and gun in hand

Blood

A sweet song

Death

One lantern

"Focus, Good Hunter."

She opens her eyes but immediately widens them. Blood red eyes, one from a Hunter and one from a Beast, stare at each other. The Beast directly in front of here, it's hand on her shoulder. The Beast sighs, seeing that I am conscious.

"Are you alright, Human? Such a monstrous creature to torture a Human such as you." The Beast kindly smiles at her. The color on her face drained as she stared at the Beast. She was standing on the bridge again, arms limply at her side as she stared ahead. The Cleric Beast was holding her body with it's massive hand, crushing her with it's beastly strength. She blinked and she was back in the cave with the robed Beast.

Fear and instincts took over. A beastly instinct took over. Her voice strained as she open her mouth. "Get away from ME!" Her voice echoed throughout the cave, a shockwave bursting out from her mouth. The Beast was knocked down, eyes widen from shock. She took a step back, opening her mouth to speak, but as soon as she spoke blood spurt out from her mouth. Closing her mouth, she stared at the Beast. It's eyes were filled with shock, concern, and fear. Reaching out with it's hand, it gulped and spoke. "H-Human?".

She was confused now. She was so, so confused. She just wanted to curl up, cry or go to sleep. Instead she ran. She ran past the Beast into a room with two stairs that lead to the same door. She ran onto and up the stairs. She slipped at the last step, crashing hardly onto the ground. Slowly, she crawled off the stairs and sat against the wall. Covering her mouth, she coughed up more blood. "F-Fuck." She uncovered her mouth and stared at her bloody hand.

Her vision blurs and it blends into something else, something new yet familiar.

Staring her bloody hand, she sighed. She was sitting on a raised wooden platform with a wooden fence. This place was safe. Far from harm, Beasts, and death. She could stay here until day arrived and leave Yharnam when everyone was awake, let them take care of the Beasts. She doesn't need to find out about Paleblood, her employment as a Hunter, and her lack of memory before her blood ministration.

"Still lingering about?" She looks up at her fellow Hunter. A woman, dressed in dark clothing with a crow feather cape stood next to her, staring past the wooden fence. "What's wrong? A Hunter, unnerved by a few Beasts?" Eileen chuckled. She was right, she was scared of them. Scared of the pain and death. Eileen soon stops, shaking her head. "No matter." Eileen turned around and walked ahead, only stopping just a couple inches ahead of her.

"Without fear in our hearts, we're little different from the Beasts themselves." Eileen shakes off her cape, walking away from her.

"A Hunter must hunt after all."

"H-Human, please come back. I'm sorry if I scared you." The Beast's voice took her out of her thoughts. Looking at the entrance of the room, she was thankful that the Beast wasn't at the doorway. Closing her bloody hand, she stood up. "I need to go, find a place to hide so I can gather my thoughts." She thought to herself.

Quickly walking into the next room, she was met with a straight path that leads to an open door. On the left of the room was six pressure plates on the ground and a switch on the wall, the right side only had a sigh."I need to keep going." she thought, looking at the room one last time before leaving it and into the next room.

As she entered the room, she immediately heard patting of feet. Her blood drained from her face as she heard the Beast's voice. "H-Human, wait, don't leave!" The Beast's desperate cry echoed throughout the empty ruins. As fast as she can, she ran through the room she just entered.

Running over two small bridges and jumping over a spiked platform, she left the room behind as the patting of the Beast's feet drew closer. The room was another turn. Skidding on her feet as she stopped, she turned to the exit and ran again.

Into the next room was another turn that lead into a narrow hallway. Not breaking a sweat, she ran into the hallway. Another turn and she was greeted by a... frog? It was large, about the size of a child. It stared intently at her as she stopped. The frog was just staring at her, eyes filled with hope and fear.

The patting of the Beast's feet quickly reminded her why she was running. Running past the frog, she looks back to see the Beast open her mouth to say something. And the frog summoning flies and them heading towards me.

One hits, a pain unlike any other coursing through my very being, and I stop. Turning toward the frog, everything slows down as another hits and I stumble forward, my core shaking inside me.

Then time resumes as normal.

Many flies slam into me like bullets, making me stumble backwards. My core, my being, my very existence was being destroyed. Each fly left a crack, another pain that drained her of life. When the last one hit, she was at the edge of a fall. Her vision was blurry, breathing heavy, blood leaking out of the wounds on her chest.

Reset

The frog leaps at me, landing on my chest and making me fall backwards. The core was shaking, ready to pop, shatter, and end her existence.

Reset

I fall, my back being pierced by spikes and my core Shatters.

R E S E T

She was plunged into the void. Falling and falling, into the deep below. An ancient calling in her blood screamed out, shaking the void. White wisps surround her, taking her away.

She was afraid of the void and the wisps of white, she wanted to leave the void, to live. A warmth fills her being, a gold star on her chest swells as this feeling grows. The wisps leave her body, the ancient calling stops as it bares witness to this warmth, this feeling. It was-

*Determination

Instead of falling, she stops.

And awakens back at the patch of flowers.

She awakens, clutching her chest and sitting up within an instant. Her breathing was heavy, tears ready to come out. She looks around, finding herself back at the patch of flowers, everything the same as it when she was first here. Confusion is what she feels, as she lowers her hand.

"What...happened?" She looks to her left and right, her saw and blunderbuss at her side once again. "Why am I...back? I died."

"You died." A child's voice echoes within her mind, bringing back memories of a baby's cry, a little girl and a brooch. In seconds, she grabs ahold of her weapons and stands up, ready to attack anything that proved hostile.

"Whoa, true killer instincts right there." A bit away from her, was a child. She wore a lime and cream-colored striped shirt with red-brown pants and shoes. Her skin was fair, with rosy cheeks and red eyes she looked quite adorable. The child was see through, and looked to be giving off a dim light.

"Who are you and what do you mean I...died?" She watched the child walk up to her, her brown hair not moving an inch. The child had a grin, looking at me up and down. "My name is... Scarlett and yes, you died. You came back because of your Determination." The child, now named Scarlett, didn't make any sense. You don't just come back from the dead, especially with sheer determination.

"Oh stop with that look of yours, you have died a lot before. Enough times for it to lose it's fear factor." She blinks at that. She has died before? Enough times that even dying wasn't a fear anymore. Static fills her mind, echoes of screams, bones breaking, flesh being ripped, and horrible gargling. Scarlett laughs at her reaction, which was fear and more confusion. "Forgot? It doesn't matter if you remember, right now you need to...escape the Underground. Don't let these Monsters, these Prey, deter you away from your freedom." The child fades away.

"A Hunter must Hunt, after all."

She, a Hunter by her memories and Scarlett's saying, gulps. Her hands tightens around her weapons, static and more sounds of blood and bullets echoes in the back of her mind.

"Reclaim your freedom and memories"

She takes a step forward, a warmth filling her body as she keeps going forward. Not looking back, she enters the next room. Not even seeing Scarlett back in the patch of Flowers.

"Hunt, until it is done."

A/N: Hello, sorry the second chapter took so long to write but I hope the wait was worth it. If it wasn't, I am greatly sorry.

If you're wondering why Chara is named "Scarlett", you'll find out in the next chapter. Also, i like to think Chara mimics how the character acts, so Genocide would make Chara all killer, while Pacifist would make Chara more of a tame person. Since she is attached to our Hunter, she is smug, teasing, and straight foward in some cases.Anyway, i will se you all in the second part of the Ruins. Byebye
