HiHiHiHi

I love chess and shogi but chess is better to me since I was introduced to it traditionally. As for shogi It's just a variation of chess so I wouldn't be surprised If Lincoln played it whether it's on a 8x8, 9x9 or 16x16 board but he's a natural at it.

That's all for introductions

Let the story continue.

The night had prevailed for some time and Luan had many questions for her older brother but gave into sleep reasons she cannot even bring herself to explain, perhaps it was the long drive home that agitated the sandman? Lincoln watched with great interest making sure not to let the slightest of details slip his eyes as his little sister slept peacefully on his thighs. A few moments later he noticed strange blue lines forming around her forehead. Was it veins? No, the colour was too abnormal...

"Wow, she really must be tired... I wouldn't be able to sleep in a situation such as this."

"I think they drugged her..."

"What!? But I was there the whole time!"

"Luan! Luan get up!" Lincoln shook his sister in an attempt to rescue her from whatever abnormal condition was causing her slumber status and eventually their efforts were rewarded.

"Ughh, my head hurts." The girl slightly opened her eyes and frowned as she tried to recall the situation she found herself in. "Lincoln? What? Where am I? It's night? Why are we going home so late? Mom and dad will be angry. Better late than never am I right? Haha."

"There's my little joker."

The girl caressed her head as the dizziness and pain that was present earlier died down, allowing her to think more clearly, it wasn't until then that she noticed the more puzzling things around her area. "Wait, who is she? Wha- What the hell am I wearing!? Mom and dad are gonna kill me!"

"Oh. Speaking of that, we have arrived home, thanks for dropping us from the party when no else volunteered *winks."

"Oh yes! Right! The pleasure is all mine! We are dear friends after all."

"Let's go Luan, we have some explaining to do. And Mr. Edel, may you and your mistress have a great evening back at your villa on 23rd Hurkerson Street."

"Understood."

"Pardon sir? I didn't get that."

"Uh I meant, same to you young lad!"

The limousine then pulled off at a frightening speed leaving the two outside in the middle of the night.

"Woah, I just rode in a Limo! But I can't remember getting in or going to a party?"

"Don't worry i'll explain later, our parents need to hear the first words."

The two siblings travelled to the front door, Luan was trembling while Lincoln didn't seem too bothered about it.

"Why are you so calm?"

"No need to worry about how just know that I got everything covered so just breathe."

The eldest sibling knocked twice on the door, which slowly opened on it's own revealing two adults standing with their arms firmly crossed, Rita and Lynn Sr. Loud. The matriarch was the first to voice her concerns for the two children.

"Do you two know what time it is? Luan what in the world are you wearing!?"

"Calm down mom I can explain, if you would let me."

"Granted."

"Well as you would have heard, dad is now the head of the cafe that I work for so I had some time to myself and decided that I hadn't spent enough time with my jokester here. Coincidentally I was being invited to a little 'get-together' with some old friends and thought that it wouldn't hurt if she tagged along."

"That doesn't explain the clothes she has on son."

"Well... We were in a bit of a rush so I bought what I thought would've looked good on her, but don't worry it wasn't that kind of place! I took her with me everywhere I went."

"Even the bathroom?"

"Yes. I mean no! Mom!"

"I was just worried that's all." The mother embraced her children in her arms while she expressed her thoughts that came up during their absence. "Luan you know you were supposed to be home before it got dark." Before the girl could open her mouth to express the confusion that ran through her head the entire time, her brother had already beaten her to the punch.

"No worries she was with me remember? Don't you trust me mom?" Lincoln made a sad worrisome look at his face while he expressed his disbelief in his responsibility.

"Oh I didn't mean that my baby boy, I'm so sorry." She caressed his face causing him to smile, Until."But next time tell me before you do something so reckless!"

"Ow! My ear!"

"Hmph!"

The Matriarch stormed away leaving her husband and children to finish their discussion, if they even had any. The father made eye contact with his son and raised his eyebrows while occasionally glancing at his daughter. The male teen quickly caught on to his intentions.

"No. Luan go to your room." Then he held her shoulder and whispered into her ear. "Don't drink anymore."

Immediately at his response her face lit up as red as a tomato and she practically flew up the stairs to her room leaving the two males to converse with each other.

"Nice haircut."

"Thanks."

"A party? Why wasn't I invited?"

"I asked you if you wanted to go when you were at the restaurant."

"Oh, so that's what that was. Sorry I got distracted because a certain someone stopped by. Anyway what happened?"

"It was a kidnapping. Damn Howler bastards."

"Wait she was kidnapped?"

"Yeah and I happened to be in the other room with the idiot and super cop, pretty sure Magus was there too but he doesn't talk much."

"You said she doesn't know?"

"Well she knew at some point, then she didn't."

"What?"

"Remember that drug we were talking about? Well it probably isn't one."

"They got her too? Is that what you meant?"

"A witness had no idea when it happened so I have reasons to expect it's more of a virus or a strange condition than a physical drug."

"Have you considered it as a curse or hypnotism of some sort?"

"Well... I haven't thought about it, and even if it did happen I wouldn't be able to recall encountering such a situation during the time I was present."

"Maybe it's the dark arts, like the look alike dolls they make, you know what I mean?"

"I get what you mean. We'll have to continue this conversation later for Luan's sake, I need to clear some misunderstandings. Later on I'd like to discuss your social standing with the familia so round up the old attendees."

"Oh? Are we having a reunion so soon?"

"Yes, I'd like to see you there as well. And please... Don't tell Albert. I owe the military a week's worth of alcohol."

"Hmm, something they could drink in a few hours."

"That's why I'm hesitant about meeting them."

"I'm gonna go check on your mother."

"Sure thing."

"A hug from your old man?"

"I'm 17"

"That's what I wanted to hear!" Before the poor teen could even react, his father pulled him into a tight grasp even lifting him a few inches off the ground.

"Ugh! My spine!"

"Heh heh, goodluck on your convincing chap."

"Ow, you too."

The teenager walked limply to the stairs as he tried to soothe his injuries by massaging them, another reason why he was sure his father would have no trouble running the cafeteria with some of the recruits. Magus might have been faithful for some time but they had to be 'convinced' to join the familia while Lincoln's relatives didn't hesitate to protect their family. With all the recruits and instructors running around trying to gain recognition from him, there was hardly any opportunity for the King's Executioner's to show their true strength.

'Yes! I finally reached the top.'

As he took two steps forward he felt his shadowy aura gather beneath his right feet and another odd sense of danger leaking from the room he least suspected pranks to be coming from. He looked downwards to see his voidful friend pointing towards a note filled with red hearts, surrounding a text that read out, 'I'm sorry.'

The rope trap he unsuspectedly walked into immediately fastened itself around his leg causing him to trip and quickly slip into the room while his prankster sibling, who happened to be leaving her room, stood outside with her mouth left agape.

"So that's what it looks like when I do that to Luna..."

-In the dark mysterious room

Lincoln could not see nor make out the image that was standing before him, it was difficult to adjust to the absence of light so suddenly, especially when you're hanging from the ceiling. There was a faint breath that came from the shadowy blur witnessing his bondaged state, the teen quickly sought to negotiate with the figure.

"Uh... I believe we could have settled this better like nice, gentle siblings."

"I'm so sorry if I have caused you any harm but it must be this way."

"Huh? What do you mean by that?"

"I must have it... No one will be able to stop me..." There was a hint of hesitation in the voice but without a doubt, he knew it belonged to Lucy. He wondered what weird ritual his sister was gonna force him to do, was she going to cut his body and take his blood for offerings? Perhaps she found out about his special 'shadow' and was trying to find a way to extract it for herself? 'Haha, how cute but there's no way-'

His words ceased immediately after he felt a small hand squirm its way around his waist and then rummaged through his pants.

"Woah! Wait! What are you doing!? Stop! You're still too young to be doing that stuff!"

After some time the hand found what it was looking for and quickly whipped it out into exposure. A second voice was heard giggling in the shadows who Lincoln assumed was Lynn since she would be the only sibling able enough to keep him hanging from the ceiling with brute strength.

"How big is it Luce?"

"It's... Quite bigger than I had expected... Just the feeling of it now makes me happy."

*BAM!

Immediately after those words left her lips, the door to the room flew open and the intruder quickly fumbled for the light switch before swinging it on in full rage.

"TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF HIM!... Oh."

The whole room was in total silence at this point. Lincoln didn't know which made him more flustered, the fact that Lynn and Lucy collaborated to deprive him of his 'hard earned' cash or the fact that he misunderstood the entire situation along with his sister Luan.

"I meant um... I owe Lunes some cash... So uh... I was gonna do what you guys were doing."

'Wow she can't even cover it up properly.'

Lucy glanced at her winnings in her palm and then towards her older sister.

"Join the dark side or suffer the consequences..." The atmosphere around the two siblings rose steadily, the goth was slowly growing impatient while the jokester was hesitant about the decision she was going to make.

"Well?"

"I-"

Small footsteps were heard at the doorsteps and the newcomer found the situation to be unamusing as she had thought of her own plan far ahead, to think that her older siblings had to refer to such bizarre methods to find success in their own situations.

"L-Lincoln... I need some help..."

"Aw did something happen? I'll be right there." Lincoln casually untied himself from the ceiling, took his 'property' from his sister and followed his dear little sibling. Lucy stood mouth agape at how her brother managed to free himself from their little contraption, how odd, she was sure that it would have taken him at least hours to do that.

"Curses, my hopes of obtaining a new pair of vampire fangs and costume have been diminished."

"Aw man, that baseball was limited edition."

"Uh... I totally wanted to do something with money."

The girl instantly gained odd looks from both of her siblings though it may have been due to the outfit she was wearing.

With Lincoln and the unknown sister-

As the duo entered the room, Lincoln sensed the absence of his youngest sibling, Perhaps his mother had collected the child earlier, she tends to do that when she's dwelling on an issue.

"If your mind is conscious about our youngest sibling unit, there is no need, she is in good hands... The information that I'm proceeding to share with you is quite confidential and desires your utmost attention."

Lincoln tensed upon hearing her request, she figured it out already and was probably going to confront him about it, not that he didn't expect this. Even though he made sure there weren't any cameras or microphones around when he was trying to share classified information with his 'local mafia' dad, there was no absolute way to keep her out of their conversations after all, she was a prodigy although it wouldn't hurt to have one on his team, he couldn't just throw his sister in a bloody battle between men who only saw profits by doing various misdeeds. He sighed internally as a sign of his mental barriers ready to take on the evidence she was about to throw at him.

"Don't sugarcoat it, tell me everything you found out about it, how long you've known and how much."

"Affirmative. At ten fifty-two am last week, the destination was Royal Woods mall."

"The mall huh..." Lincoln reminisced to the time the girls were taken to the mall to do their weekly shopping, the attendees of the shopping day depended mainly on these three variables, The budget of the sibling, the mood of the sibling, and the urgency of the item desired by the sibling. On this particular day the participants were Lori, Leni, Luan and Lisa. Lincoln guided his little sibling Lisa around but she didn't seem too particularly interested in any item, perhaps she had already found reasons to suspect his poor excuses for returning home late at night. The white topped teen left her to wander about with the rest of their siblings, who were gossiping about their successful days of events. It was at that time that Lincoln received an important call which addressed an issue about new gangs entering the area, such news the teen had found exceedingly unpleasant, not only did he have to deal with the already existing gangs making stupid decisions to openly attack each other despite the agreement they would have formed five years ago, but now the newbies were openly running up and down the streets! Plus he would have address meetings more often to deal with the issue and he'd have to relearn that stupid call to order, why did he insist on being a more formal organised crime hierarchy like the chinese triads or the japanese pricks, what were they called again was it the yukaha or yokazu? He couldn't really remember but he was so frustrated about it that forgot that his conversation was supposed to be done in 'private'. "Yeah it was probably somewhere around there..."

"Precisely, it hadn't occurred to me at that time that such a matter would be important but if any more time passes then I'm afraid it will be too late... That is why dear Eldest sibling unit, I require precisely forty dollars to replace my safety gear since my reserves have been destroyed by a strange black concoction that was knocked over in the process of my usual experimenting."

"Oh. Sure thing."

"Many thanks, eldest sibling unit." The prodigy proceeded to escort her eldest sibling out of the room, that is until a sudden realisation dawned upon the teen.

"Wait a minute, A black concoction you say?"

"Yes, That is what I said."

"Inside of a cylindrical flask that I said was going to be knocked over if you didn't move it out of your accident zone?"

"Uh- I believe so."

"I'll let you off the hook this time but please take my advice seriously, understand?"

"Y-Yes Lincoln."

"Ah forty dollars..." The teen proceeded to remove the required amount of cash needed for the replacement equipment for his dear little sister, perhaps he would have given her a little extra for being so cute when she was clumsy, if only had he not gotten carried away in his own fantasies, things would have worked out nicely and remembered as a cute sibling moment for them but it was too late, the damage was already done. The little girl stood wide eyed behind her glasses as she witnessed her brother skim through a wallet full of cash and trust me, she knew those weren't numbers a simple cafe employee should be making. "There you go... What? Too much?"

"Lincoln... I wish to inquire about the so-called 'minimum wage' you were earning."

"Uh... Do you want some ice-cream?"

"Lincoln! This is a very serious matter that should be discussed with our parental units."

"What if I buy you a new lab coat on the way? With goggles and everything?"

"As if you could persuade me with something the government would easily invest in my research."

"I can buy as much chocolate as you want."

"Deal. You can't take that back!"

"I'll keep my promises. Now go to bed it's way too late for you to be thinking of anything else."

The teen ended things off and exited the room, before he could return to his original sleeping quarters, there was one more individual he had to deal clear things with. As he walked along the hallway, he received a clear view of his bedroom and the door that was left ajar with the light on. A sign that someone was waiting to have a private discussion with him and by instinct he already figured out who it was. He quickly entered his room and closed the door behind him, not wanting to encounter any of his other siblings if they were still awake.

"Well... I'm here, anything in particular you wanted to talk about?"

"Anything that I wanted to talk about...? That isn't a very funny joke..."

"Sorry, you haven't done any puns in a while so I guess I'm starting to run dry as well."

"Lincoln I don't even know what i'm wearing, my face hurts, my head hurts, I never thought I would have drunk alcohol and the worst part is... I don't even remember any of it!"

The teenaged boy was still deciding what was the best explanation to give to her, he could have given her a tall story and be done with it but he wasn't the very best at doing so he liked being more blunt than beating around the bush.

"I'm going to be honest with you... I don't know what happened to your memories and i'm not exactly sure which one of those bastards hit you but I have already dealt with them and they won't even think of laying a hand on you again."'If they're even alive' "Don't worry too much, nothing happened and there was no alcohol, I think."

"H-How are you so sure?"

"A friend of mine was with you all through the way, she even took a hit for you. That's how special you are."

"T-Thanks that makes me feel a little better."

"Excellent! Then that means you should be able to sleep tonight."

Now that she thought about it, she really could use some sleep to do away with the slight headache she was having.

"Oh. I- I wanted to ask If I c-"

"No go sleep in your own room."

Lincoln quickly shuffled her out of his room before the ponytail sibling could even counter his statement.

"Finally alone..."

*Creak *BAM

Lincoln was startled by the sudden noise that ignited the room with dust making it difficult to see. After a few seconds, his visibility returned allowing him to fully analyze the situation that disrupted his peace. Lying face flat on the floor was his sister Lynn with Lucy on top of her. From the evidence that presented itself in the form of two mischievous girls, Lincoln could already predict what was in store for him although he wondered how Lynn had fit into the vent in the first place. Lucy, being the first one to recover from the fall, stood up quickly to execute their plan.

"Hello brother. This was also part of our plan, did you think you could escape our grasp so easily? I swear on the name of my beloved Edwin, I will do everything in my power to obtain the funds to satisfy our desires."

"If you wanted something that badly you could just ask..."

"Never! We saw what you did to Luan! You're planning to turn us into your slaves! Disgusting pervert!"

Lincoln felt a sharp spear run through his chest, and since Lincoln was deemed undefeatable by many of his enemies he could safely say that the words of his little sister, cut deeper than any other blade he had ever gone up against.

"AH! My heart!"

"Yes, feel the burn of your sins. Realize your mistakes, you sorry excuse for a human."

"I'm sorry! It was a misunderstanding! Can't we go back to the lovely relationship we once had?"

"I'm afraid you have fallen too deep into the shadows for reconciliation... But if you hand over your wallet I might consider it."

"Not a chance."

Lynn, who was listening in on the conversation the whole time sprang up to her feet, refusing to accept defeat now that they had gotten this far.

"I told you the pacifist route wouldn't have worked!"

"Woah there, calm down, Lynn you know I wouldn't ever do such a thing to you, I love you guys don't you love me too."

"NO! PEACE WAS NEVER AN OPTION!"

The girl tackled her sibling onto the floor and twisted his left arm behind his back while he sucked up the pain trying to get his last words through.

"Wow... *huff You actually took me down *puff I can't believe it took me this long to realise how awesome you were Lynn.

"Yeah I know I am."

The girl smirked as she held her winnings in her palm... Or at least, that's what she expected was going to happen, alas another sibling who didn't know her brother all too well. The teen quickly side stepped, avoiding his sister's attempt to pin him to the floor and putting him on the safeside but the same couldn't be said for the attacker.

"Sorry about this one girls..."

-Several Hours later

Her vision went blank after that and when it returned she couldn't remember much, she was still feeling drowsy and the rooster wouldn't just shut up.

"Wait! What rooster!?"

"Hey, you, you're finally awake."

"What is this Skyr*m!? Why are we tied up!?"

"You might not remember because last night you collided head first into the door, so much for getting physical. Lincoln easily overpowered us and now we're stuck here, ready to be defiled in any way he pleases."

"You were just waiting for me... Did you even sleep?"

"Of course I did."

"Mmm, be quiet you two or else you're going to spend a boring saturday with your older brother."

"Did he just threaten us with some Lincoln time?"

"Well I'll gladly take that offer."

"On the count of three. One, two, th-"

-Many hours later at the mall

Lincoln let out a sigh in frustration as he used his free hand to rummage through his hair, something he would do every now and then when he was faced with a hard decision. The teen smiled a little, then went back to a blank stoic face as his gaze lowered onto the floor, without warning he burst into a laughing frenzy, Whatever it was must have been a really good joke. Suddenly the teen stopped and stared blankly at the item that his sister's wanted to buy.

"Two hundred dollars!? Just for a simple vampire costume set!? All it has is a lousy robe and some fake teeth! At this point I should be able to sell my underwear for millions!"

"I don't want to admit it but someone might actually buy that from you."

The teen stooped to the floor and cupped his face in disbelief as his younger sister Lori, tried to give him words of encouragement.

"Lucy, what made you think that I could have afforded this?"

"Elder brother always worked something out."

The teen fell to the floor in disbelief. He had indeed spoiled her too much, with the last bit of determination left in him the teen dragged himself to the counter.

"G-Give me the Vampire costume set."

"Are you sure? You don't look like you really want to."

"Y-Yes! Do it!"

"You must really be rich if you could waste your money on something like this."

"No. As long as it's for my sisters... It's worth it."

"Whatever you say man."

The man handed over the items to Lincoln and the teen, regretfully let go of the cash in his possession. He was even more stumped when the baseball Lynn asked for was actually signed by one of Lynn's famous idols and the reseller was pretending to be 'remorseful' in selling it to him.

"Five hundred dollars"

"F-Fine."

"No! I can't! It's too sad to part from my beloved collection!"

"But I might change my mind for fifteen hundred dollars..."

"I'll take-"

"But it's so sad!"

"My precious Idol! I can't depart from you! Five thousand dollars?"

"Look let me just-"

"But Alas!"

In an instant Lincoln grabbed the short man by his collar and lifted him up so that he got a clear look into his eyes.

"Listen punk! I'm not in the mood for your games! You either sell this to me for the first price you offered or I'll escort you out of this place in a bodybag! Got that punk!?"

"Okay dear customer! Let's not be too rash now haha..."

"Do we have a deal?"

The man began to panic, he was certain that this customer might actually do something to him. His eyes quickly skimmed the area for mall police and surely enough a few of them were coming to his rescue.

"Hey you! You can't do that to a customer!"

"Oh?"

The teen slowly turned around allowing the officers to get a good look at his face and what they did next completely startled the girls.

"I-I mean... If you aren't rough enough they will scam you haha! How dare you try to toy with the loyal, innocent customers in this store you short stack."

"S-Short stack... I thought you guys were supposed to be helping me."

"So are you still going to 'unfairly' raise the price sir?"

"No No! Not at all! I was just testing you haha! You're a tough one. Please take the baseball free of charge!"

"Actually I don't mean to ruin your business. I'll buy it double the price for your troubles."

"Thank you kind sir."

The teen received his offer and gifted the ball to his little sister, who was starting to doubt if she even wanted the ball after witnessing what it took to get it.

"Uh Thanks alot bro."

"You don't seem too happy."

"You did all of that just for this measly ball? I don't feel like I deserve it."

"If you want it, I'll always find a way, so remember that."

"Sure."

The last sentence restored her image of her brother once more and she ran off to her other siblings to show off her gift.

"It's a shame the others aren't here, could have bought them something if they wanted."

"Well... Aren't you forgetting something dear eldest sibling unit?"

"Oh right. Chocolate."

"I admit it might not be the best idea to have it at the moment since the others are severely addicted as I am. So I trust that you can have it delivered to me privately no? Ever since I saw the reaction of those officers i'm convinced that you are working for some really dangerous individuals and a trivial task like this shouldn't be a problem for you."

"You know too much."

"W-What!? I didn't mean!"

"Relax, as if I could ever hurt this little muffin."

The teen quickly scooped the prodigy up into his arms, almost stifling her from the sheer force of his hug alone.

"Release me! Stop treating me like a child!"

"Aw I just want what's best for you."

"Maybe you should worry about yourself. If you are employed in those shady businesses then you're gonna have to leave eventually."

"Me? Employed? Oh no talking muffin, I run the whole show."

"W-What? That's impossible! When would you have the time!?"

"Shh... I'll explain when the time is right. For now let's go regroup with the others."

The teen rounded up the remainder of his siblings and they returned to the vehicle satisfied with their day's earnings. They each got into the seats of their choice and got into their various conversations and topics of their choice while they awaited Lincoln to drive them home but he seemed busy at the moment.

"Speak to me Al."

[Hey Boss, a few people came over to see you but I told them that you weren't in office today. But they wouldn't go away]

"Huh, they must be persistent then."

[Actually someone wants to talk to you]

[Hey chap, I thought you were gonna be here]

"What? Dad? Why aren't you at work?"

[Just felt like closing since we got more important matters at hand]

"What do you mean by that?"

[I just got here and it seems like the old squad is here...]

"The progenitors?"

[Yea those guys]

"I didn't call for them."

[But they wanted to help anyway they seemed like they knew what was happening in the first place. Oh, you grandfather's here too]

"WHAT!"

[I tried to stop him, believe me but somehow he got through now the...]

"Military..."

[Yea...]

"I'll be there after I drop off the girls."

[What should I do with your little friend?]

"I don't know, teach her the Ingori Arts or something I'll take over when I get there."

[Pffttt. As if she could learn something I spent that I spent five years one the first move]

"Whatever."

*beep

"Something wrong older brother? You have been on your phone for a while."

"Nothing to worry about Luce, just work calling in."'Dirty work'

"On a saturday? That is truly unfortunate... I've had plans."

"Don't worry we'll spend some time together after I get back. Now let's go home."

'First I have to deal with the girls, then the meeting, now that I think about it I haven't spent a lot of time with the twins or Luna. Seems like I have a lot of catching up to do. That doesn't matter anyway, once my siblings are happy, I'm happy and if some punks think they can stir up trouble... I will not show mercy at all.'

Wow when you finally learn about horizontal lines eh?

Not much action, I know. Just wanted a little heartwarming story since I've hit a writer's block with the original plot I wanted to put out there, but it'll get here when it does right?

Until next time
