(A/N: Hey everybody, it's finally here chapter 30 a chapter that I almost thought I'd never get to but I finally did it and I'm glad for it to. Now before we get started I'm just gonna make a small announcement for this chapter, it's mainly going to be focusing on Dallas's past up to the point for when his mother died and I'm gonna go pretty far into how much it messed with him, and of course that's putting it mildly. But I assure you it'll all end well for him in this chapter I promise you that. Alright then without further ado let's get to it.)

Chapter 30: Not until you're ready to

"This has got to be the most reckless thing I've ever allowed anyone in the history of my career do Mr. Jones." Menendez stated as she along with all three teenagers she was tasked with protecting stood outside of their high school after so long.

"I know it's not exactly the best idea but it has to be done, besides you've got the entire police department and every last one of your fellow agents helping keep this part of the city under watch just in case anything goes south. Plus even if Hawkmoth comes for us I'm sure that Ladybug and Cat Noir will show up to lend a hand." Dallas replied casually, then he quickly added. "Speaking of which how are you taking the news about them being officially deputized by the city?"

"Just fine actually." She replied casually.

This statement was obviously not what Dallas had expected but it was the one he got. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! He screamed inside his head, SHE'S MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT SHE WANTS TO ARREST US AND SHE'S ACTUALLY OKAY WITH IT! WHAT THE FUCK?! "Really? I would've thought you would've put up a big fuss because of it, I mean you clearly don't like the miraculous holders after all and you clearly wanted to arrest them before." He replied trying to hide the fact that she had just taken away his feeling of pride and joy that he'd beaten her at her own game.

"What I wanted was for them to obey the law Mr. Jones, now that they are I have no reason to be bitter end of story." She replied calmly as she ushered the children inside as well as keep her head on a swivel. "Now you'd best be on your way before someone whose not supposed to see you does."

"Thank you again for the ride Agent Menendez we really appreciate it." Marinette said as she waved her goodbye. As the three teens made their way inside it didn't take long for all of Marinette and Adrien's friends to notice they'd come back to school. The first to notice them was Chloe as she rushed over and snatched Adrien up in a warm embrace.

"ADRIKENS!" She cheered excitedly. "I'm so glad that your back I've missed you so much!"

"Chloe? What are you doing here I heard you got arrested the other night." He asked with a somewhat puzzled expression.

"Oh that? Nothing to worry about, once Interpol realized that I was innocent they let me go without any problems at all." She stated in reply.

"Yeah that's bull crap and you know it." Dallas said as he interrupted her. "You had to of gotten DADDY to pardon you, it's the only way they'd have let you go."

In a heartbeat Chloe turned toward him and just shouted. "HOW DARE YOU MAKE SUCH A RIDICULOUS STATEMENT WHILE I'M TRYING TO RECONNECT WITH ADRIEN PROPERLY!"

At that moment Dallas then started to mock her by pretending to play the world's tiniest violin. "Oh look Linzy McGwire the world's smallest violin is playing your song!"

It was around this point when Chloe had just…snapped. "THAT'S IT! DIE!" And as expected she charged him with nothing but pure rage and hatred, but Dallas was obviously prepared for it as he just sidestepped out of the way of her attack.

Oh I'm going to enjoy this, he thought to himself as he began to remove his jacket. "Venga toro venga!" He cried as he held his jacket as if it were a matador's cape.

"What are you doing?" Adrien asked with annoyance.

"Having a bull fight with a little bitch." He replied with a cheeky smile.

Adrien just sighed as he shook his head. "We only just got back to school and you're already picking a fight with Chloe, perfect." He said with embarrassment.

And just like a real bull Chloe just kept on charging him over and over just missing him time and time again with him shouting out "OLAY" Every time she missed him, and quickly whipping her in the butt with his jacket each time she passed him.

This whole display was drawing a lot of attention from everyone in the school, but eventually it had to be put to an end as the warning bell sounded. "Dallas will you give it a rest already?" Adrien called out to him.

"Don't worry Adrien I was just about to wrap it up, or more accurately…" In a final and quick movement Dallas flipped his jacket around and held it wide open and held still long enough for Chloe to get close enough to try and punch him, as she threw her left fist though he managed to catch her inside the right sleeve and bring it all the way through to the other side, then he quickly stuffed her other arm into the other sleeve then zipped up the zipper, then stuffing her hands into the pockets turning his jacket into a makeshift straight jacket. Then he shoved her over onto the nearest park bench on the blacktop then rested one foot on her back looking very triumphant as he finally finished his sentence. "I wrap her up." Then just because he could, Dallas did something that he knew would enrage her further, but he just had to do it because he was just that immature. So he pulled off her wig, took a permanent marker and started drawing all over her bald scalp crude little pictures and jokes that only someone of his level of maturity would enjoy. All while she was thrashing and screaming for him to let her up. Eventually he stuffed her wig into her mouth to shut her up then he leaned over to draw a handle bar mustache on her face, then he held out his phone as he took a quick picture of the two of them. "Say cheese!"

Then he took a quick picture then sat down on top of Chloe as he just marveled his work. "Would you get off of her?" Adrien asked still very annoyed with his new blood brother.

"Alright fine sheesh, it's not like I'm hurting her." Dallas replied as he reluctantly got up off of her, then he smirked at the picture he'd taken. "Oh yeah this is definitely going in the cloud."

"You forgetting something?" Adrien asked yet again.

Dallas then turned back to Chloe and realized that he'd forgotten his jacket, and that was literally the only thing that mattered to him. "Alright little miss, I'm gonna let you out of that and you had better act like a civilized young lady or I'm just gonna sit on you again." He stated as plainly as he could to her. Naturally though she didn't listen and instantly went at him again, thus resulting in her being pinned yet again on top of the bench. "Bitch I honestly don't care if I'm late for class, I can screw around all day out here with no shame or regret, you on the other hand I'm willing to bet don't feel the same way and would rather be on time before the tardy bell goes off so you might want to learn some proper manners real quick."

Sensing that he wasn't bluffing, and realizing that it truly didn't take that much effort for him to pin her down Chloe reluctantly began to calm down which resulted in him letting her up. And also with her plotting her revenge on him as well. The three teens barely had time to get to class on time just as the tardy bell sounded off. As soon as she entered the room Chloe began to hear everyone in class begin to snicker under their breath at the permanent marker mustache drawn on her face, so she just sat down and harrumphed as she crossed her legs and muttered. "Humiliating, utterly humiliating!"

As soon as Dallas sat down in his usual spot he was then greeted warmly by the very last person he'd expect to be welcomed by. "Well hello Dallas it's SO good to see you again." Lila said as he sat down next to her.

Not wanting to look suspicious, or let her know that he was already on to her plan to kill him and Marinette he simply played ignorant for the time being, in his own way of course. "Don't talk to me, not unless I want you too." He replied without even giving her so much as a glance.

"Oh come on seriously will you just let that go already?" She replied with annoyance.

But all he said in response was. "What part of "you're forever on my shit list" wasn't clear? You insulted my people and my culture. I will never let it go, hell I'll even take it with me to my grave."

"You might find yourself in it a lot sooner than you think." Lila muttered under her breath, but Dallas heard her as clear as day.

"Be careful how you tell a joke Lila, especially when what you say to the person sitting next to you is trained in the ways of his ancestors in the art of stealth, and killing." He replied showing her that he wasn't scared of her threat.

Class then started up as it usually did and school when on just as normally, but it wasn't until biology class began that Dallas began to enact his plan to take Lila down and the way he'd do it was extremely subtle suggestions which he had hoped Lila would go for. Thanks to Alya and Nino, Adrien, Marinette and Dallas were kept up to speed with their school assignments while they were in witness protection. One of which was a paleobotany project, the project required everyone to choose one plant to study and present to the class, which inspired Dallas with the perfect means of pulling off the first part of his plan. As he stood at the front of the class he turned out the lights and turned on a light projector which shined on a small projector screen as he presented his project. As the projector shined on the screen it showed three separate pictures of mushrooms. "Can anyone tell me which of these three mushrooms are safe to eat and which is not?" He asked to literally anyone, but nobody said so much as a word. "Nobody? Nobody knows the difference? Alright let me explain…" He then began to point at one of the pictures on the screen. "This is a Caesar's mushroom commonly found in southern Europe and Northern Africa and a known favorite of the Roman Empire, this one is a straw mushroom commonly found throughout eastern and southeast Asia, but these days you find them in the produce section at your local grocery store, perfectly safe for human consumption. But this nasty little devil next to them is something far more dangerous…" He then pointed to the last picture. "This one is Amanita phalloides or a white cap mushroom also known as a death cap mushroom commonly found in the wilds of Europe usually near broadleaved trees and more often than not mistaken for one of the two mushrooms I've previously mentioned and as the name clearly suggests it is extremely poisonous. Eating just one of these can be fatal. Symptoms include both liver and kidney failure, on average at least one person dies each year due to this toxic mushroom. A few notable victims include Roman Emperor Claudius VII in 54 AD and holy Roman Emperor Charles VI in 1740. So if you ever find this particular mushroom growing out in the wild do yourself a favor and DON'T eat it, because if you do you're gonna regret it. Because it varies depending on how long it takes to kill you, in some cases it takes no more than ten days after ingestion before you die while in other cases it takes several months, either way you will suffer quite a bit before dying."

Following his project was Adrien and Marinette's, both of which also included a poisonous plant to help plant the seeds necessary to give Lila the means to carryout a very wicked deed. Adrien's project focused on the pink oleander flower while Marinette's focused on foxgloves. Both of which could cause death if ingested. They both agreed that this plan was a little elaborate but it was necessary in order for it to work. After school was out the next part of Dallas's plan was put into motion, after sending a text message to agent Menendez and Valentina several cop cars began to flood the street followed by a very fake arrest made in front of the school, the arrest of the black widow of Chernobyl and just as Dallas had hoped Lila saw the whole thing and from what he saw by the look on her face she was none too pleased that her hired killer had just been arrested.

After seeing this Lila knew that she was now in a bind, with the Chameleon dead and the black widow of Chernobyl now in cuffs she knew that she had to take matters into her own hands, and just as Dallas had hoped she took his bait and first went to a flower shop and purchased two potted plants. One oleander and one foxglove, he'd expected her simply to get just one of these plants but to see her get both seemed a bit overkill. He also had a feeling that she might go for the mushrooms as well so he asked Menendez if she could spare an agent or two to keep an eye on her just in case if she tried to go for a nature walk.

Meanwhile Adrien and Dallas had other plans for the day. It had been a while sense Adrien had practiced his piano skills let alone played for a large crowd such as this, but he was more concerned with Dallas's plan to catch Lila red handed. He just kept on worrying about everything, from when everyone else was supposed to be their to how to execute the plan once Lila made her move. He was just a gigantic ball of nerves about the entire event, but somehow he still managed to keep his attention on the piano, even though he kept messing up every now and then.

"That's E sharp not E flat, come on bro focus!" Dallas criticized for what had to be the twelfth time in an hour as Adrien kept on messing up on a certain line for Beethoven's fifth.

Adrien just started to growl with frustration, mostly toward Dallas's criticisms which he was brutally unrelenting with. "Ya know it's not really helping me concentrate with you breathing down my neck like this." He replied.

"Well excuse me but you're the one who can't remember the right notes." Dallas said back. "Look we're pushing our luck as it is being out in the open like this, whose to say that Hawkmoth won't launch a surprise attack on us while we're out here? Speaking of which why are we in a public piano class when we could just go back to your house and practice there?"

"Wow, and here I thought you were supposed to be smart." Adrien stated half joking.

To which Dallas took great offence to. "FUCK YOU SAY?!" His sudden outburst earned him a collective shush from everyone else in the room, to which he responded with. "SUCK MY DICK!"

Around that point the teacher of the class walked up to Dallas completely unaware of what he was getting himself into. "Sir if you cannot remain quiet while others are trying to learn to play then I'm going to have to ask you both to…"

"FINISH THAT SENTENCE! I DARE YOU!" Dallas growled with an almost demonic voice, after seeing the fire in his eyes the teacher instantly felt like he was two inches tall. Sensing that it would be much wiser to simply back off and leave him be the teacher slowly backed away and pretended that nothing else was wrong. "Lousy bastard, also what the hell did you mean by that Adrien?!"

"Hawkmoth is probably watching the house just waiting for anyone of us to go there in which case they'll probably be attacked. Plus these disguises are more than enough to conceal our identities." Adrien finally replied.

Before leaving to practice his piano lessons agent Menendez made the boys see their disguise specialist at the Interpol office. After they were done with them both anyone who recognized them certainly wouldn't at the moment. Dallas still didn't like it however, even though he was much less recognizable it was still easy enough to see that he was a foreigner one way or another. Dallas was about to complain once again about being there when he heard something coming from across the room, the notes to a very familiar song, Salut D'Amour. It didn't take long for Adrien to notice it either, he even stopped in the middle of his own song as he turned to see that Dallas was already showing signs of emotional pain. Before it could get any further along Dallas quickly ran straight for the door to the class and ran as fast as he could down the street. After he was about a block away he stopped and began to catch his breath. But sadly it still wasn't enough as the painful memories of his mother's passing came flooding back, and in that instant he just fell to his knees and started to cry.

"I'm sorry…I'm sorry mom…please forgive me." He sobbed to himself, feeling all alone once again as he always did.

Eventually Adrien had managed to catch up to him and saw the emotional wreck that he'd turned into, he'd only seen Dallas like this once before, and he didn't much enjoy seeing it happen the first time and still didn't like seeing it again. In this moment all Adrien wanted to do was help Dallas move on from this kind of pain no matter what, he felt that after everything that he'd done for him it was the least he could do. "Come on Dallas, get up we need to get going anyway." Adrien stated as he offered his blood brother a helping hand up.

On the ride back Dallas just began to sulk, he absolutely hated being like this, but he hated the fact that he let his mother down even more and with each time this happened he felt as though he was getting what he deserved. He was relatively quiet almost the entire way back to the safehouse until he finally broke the awkward silence. "I'm sorry you had to see me like that Adrien." He uttered sheepishly. "I know it's not very becoming of me."

"Hey there's no need to apologize for anything Dallas, that song holds a deep emotional connection to you and…your mom." Adrien replied wishing that he hadn't brought up Dallas's mother, not that it would've mattered. "Uh…so…have you ever tried…seeing someone to help you out with this problem?"

Dallas just stared out the window of the car hardly even acknowledging what he'd said. "What's the point? I made a promise to my mother that I'd play her that song a long time ago, and I couldn't even do that for her while she was on her death bed for Christ sake. If I couldn't play it then how can you expect me to play it now?"

"I never said that you had to play it." Adrien replied casually. "I'm just saying that you should see someone to help you move on from this. Because every time I see you like this…all I wanna do is help you."

Dallas just sighed in response as he said back. "I know you do blood brother, but the truth is I'm not worth the trouble. Believe me when I say this…I'm beyond forgiveness."

To which Adrien replied to with. "That's not true, I've forgiven you for a bunch of stuff and…"

"I'm not talking about what's happened between you and me Adrien, I'm talking about letting my mother's dying wish go unfulfilled, and for that…I don't deserve to be forgiven." Dallas stated plainly without another word.

A few hours later Adrien began to think of ways to try and help Dallas in anyway he could, but all of his plans came up short. But that's when he got an idea, he'd ask the one person who he knew would be smart enough to figure out how to help Dallas. After quickly punching in his phone number he waited until Master Fu answered him. Wang Fu was in the middle of a meditation when he received the call. "Hello? This is Fu." He greeted casually.

"Master…" Adrien began to reply. "I need your help with something."

Adrien then began to explain the situation about Dallas to Master Fu, who agreed that Dallas shouldn't punish himself like this and that it was long overdue for him to let go of the pain and at least try to move on. But the only way for him to do that was to face what was causing him so much heartache was to finally do what he failed to do so long ago. Which plainly meant that Dallas had to play the song for his mother, or at the very least her remains, no matter how difficult that would be. Adrien already had a feeling that it was going to be hard, but now it was next to impossible to do, that didn't mean that he was just going to give up before he even tried anything but if he was going to do this he was going to need some help and he already had an idea of who he'd enlist to do it. If it were anybody else helping him he'd be nervous about Dallas chewing their head off, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't dare raise his voice to his son. Was it a dirty move? Yes absolutely but a necessary one at that.

About an hour later Valentina arrived to the safe house with Yuri and Doof of course, both of which ran straight for Marinette, as Doof laid close to her on the couch Yuri just started bombarding her with questions about the baby, yet again. "When's it gonna ged hewe? Iss id a boy or a giwl? Can I name duh baby?"

Marinette just giggled at his behavior, as if she was the center of the universe if not the most interesting thing in the room. "I still don't know yet, still too soon to know if it's a boy or a girl, and I will consider any names you float my way." She replied to all three at once.

"So Adrien…" Valentina started up. "May I ask why it is you've asked me to bring my son here today? Not that I have a problem with it that is."

Adrien was about to answer her when there was a knock at the door, followed by the voice of a very familiar Spanish woman. "Adrien, open up its me."

"Crap, she couldn't have picked a worse time." Adrien stated, and it especially didn't help that Doof started to growl as he got up in front of the door. But before he could let out so much as a bark Adrien quickly clamped his mouth shut. "Uh…just a second agent Menendez. Both of you go hide in Dallas's bedroom, and take the dog with you!"

But just as he let go of the dog's mouth Doof then let out a few quick barks, which naturally Menendez could hear fairly easily. "Is there a dog in there?" She asked from beyond the door.

"Uh…n-no it's just the T.V. it's a little too loud." Adrien replied with a little fib as he turned to Valentina. "Get him out of here would ya?!"

"Alright, come on Yurochka we need to hide in the back of the house." Valentina said as she dragged the dog down the hall leading to Dallas's bedroom, Yuri did as he was told and followed his mother, but instead of hiding with her he hid in a closet in the hallway thinking that this was some kind of game. She also failed to be specific exactly where in the back of the house he was supposed to hide in, but by the time she realized this and tried to get him it was too late as Adrien had already opened the door. "Damn it!" She cursed in a whisper.

"Babe what are you doing here?" A voice asked from behind her, Valentina turned around fast completely startled then immediately began to calm down as she saw that it was just Dallas, who in all honesty she should've been expecting to be in there.

"Adrien asked me to come over, and bring Yurochka as well." She replied in a quiet voice.

"Yeah I might've gathered that, what with the dog being here too." Dallas stated as he took obvious notice of the large dog just standing by the door ready to be released as well as go for the kill. "Speaking of which where is the little munchkin?"

Valentina then began to tap her index fingers together as she said. "He's…in the closet."

This was of course a very serious statement but Dallas took it in a whole different way. "Val he's three, I don't think he knows what his preferences are just yet. Not that there's a problem with that but still." He stated bluntly.

In an instant Valentina just glared at him with annoyance and said. "I mean he's hiding you gigantic ass! In the closet down the hall!"

"Well what's he hiding in there for?" Dallas asked plainly.

"Because I told him that we needed to hide because agent Menendez is here so he thinks we're playing hide and seek!" Valentina replied almost shouting.

This statement alone nearly made Dallas's heart jump out of his chest, he just knew that if Menendez found out there were two other people and a dog in the house along with them she'd start making arrests, or at least that's what he assumed. He quickly peered into the hall and saw the very woman in question standing in the living room. "Shit!" He cursed to himself. "Stay here I'm gonna see if I can get him without being seen."

Thankfully it didn't seem like she was paying any attention to the hall way as her focus was fixed on Adrien and Marinette as she began to brief them on the plan to properly arrest Lila Rossi. "It wasn't easy but we managed to acquire the blueprints to the Italian embassy to set up a fool proof strategy to catch Lila and prevent her from escaping. I've also found additional proof that she stole fifty thousand euro from the embassy account thanks to a few friends in high places, all we have to do now is be at the ready with a video camera and a pair of handcuffs for when she makes her move against you Ms. Dupain-Chang."

Dallas slowly made his way over to the closet and turned the knob hoping that Menendez wouldn't hear the door opening, but as soon as he opened it he was greeted with the sight of…no one. Absolutely nobody was in the closet, this instantly confused him. "What the flying…?"

"Ah Mr. Jones so glad you could finally join us." Menendez announced from across the room, and scaring Dallas right out of his skin.

"GAH! DON'T…FFFFFREAKING DO THAT!" He demanded as he clenched his chest. "I suffer from PTSD due to a whole bunch of traumatic experiences, one of them being attacked by a mountain lion that I didn't see coming so please don't do that again!"

"Well sorry, I assumed you knew I was here." She replied almost sarcastically. Dallas was about to chew her head off when he saw just who was standing behind her in plain view trying his best to hide behind a potted plant, it was none other than little Yuri. He just froze in place as he began to panic.

SHIT! He screamed in his head, the first thing that he thought was how was he going to get Yuri out of the living room without her seeing him, the second was how did he even get in there without her seeing him in the first place let alone how he got out of the closet without her seeing him either. Okay either the little man has the ability to turn invisible or teleport, or I'm the father to the world's first three year old ninja, he thought to himself, either way my kid's got some mad skills in the stealth department.

"Are you alright Mr. Jones?" Menendez began to ask. "You seem a little distressed."

"Uh…w-well that tends to happen when you basically sneak up on somebody and scare the life out of them." Dallas replied trying to keep her in the dark about Yuri being just behind her, and doing an amazing job of not being seen by any thief's standards.

Menendez just rolled her eyes and said. "Don't be so dramatic you'll live." Thankfully Yuri quickly moved behind the television set and not a moment too soon as Menendez began to turn around and head for the door. "Anyway that's all I came to say, these two can brief you on the rest. I'll see you all this Friday night." But just as she was about to walk out the door she was stopped by the tiniest little sneeze. "What was that?"

"I didn't hear anything." Dallas denied hoping that she'd buy it.

Sadly she didn't as she then heard it again. "I swear I just heard a child sneeze." She pointed out.

"Whaaaaaat…no-no you're…you're just hearing things I didn't hear anything like that not even close." Dallas said trying to convince her otherwise, but she was too nosey for her own good as she started searching. Oh come on damn it, Dallas cursed inside his head. But just before she could catch Yuri behind the television a light bulb from a lamp just exploded startling everyone. Giving Yuri the perfect chance to slip out unnoticed as he retreated to the kitchen.

Menendez just growled. "I swear to god these lousy police officers don't even bother doing routine maintenance for these safehouses. Don't they understand that they're to check for any type of electrical wear and tear, the slightest short circuit could cause a fire, idiotas!"

"Yes definitely a gigantic bunch of idiots, you should go chew them out at their place of work and REALLY give them all a piece of your mind, like very far away from here." Dallas stated while trying to usher the Interpol agent out the door. "Okay see you later bye now!" And with that he slammed the door shut, then he turned around and let out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. "Oh thank god!"

"I'll take my cheese now." Plagg spoke up from behind them all thinking that he'd done his job for the day.

Adrien then pulled out a wedge of cheese and handed it over to his kwami. "You are a life saver Plagg."

"Dat wady's kwanky." Yuri started up as he returned to the living room holding a cookie. "It muss be pass her nap time."

Dallas just let out a sigh filled with stress has he collapsed on the couch. "Ugh…I'm not even living with you yet and you're already giving daddy a heart attack." He said rubbing the stress from his eyes.

Yuri then walked over to his father and just hugged his knee, somehow it was enough to help relax him enough to a point that he almost didn't care that Menendez had almost caught him. Seeing this helped reassure Adrien that his plan to help Dallas with his current problem would work. A little while later when he'd gotten her alone Adrien began to lay out the plan before her. "I see, well that explains why he rarely ever spoke of his mother." She stated plainly.

"And that's why I wanna help him move on from it, he shouldn't have to keep punishing himself for…what happened." Adrien added on. "But the only way for him to move on is for him to face his darkest demon head on, and that unfortunately means that he has to play the violin again along with that song and I think Yuri might be able to help with that."

Valentina nodded in agreement, knowing that this was the best thing to do for Dallas. But getting it to happen wasn't going to be easy and they knew it, so when they chose to do it they would have to ease him into it. Otherwise the results would have the exact opposite of what they wanted. But just as they began to concoct their plan that's when they heard it, the same piano and violin duet playing at max volume down the hall in Dallas's room. It didn't take long for Adrien to realize why Dallas was playing the song, he was playing it for his mother's ashes. Both Adrien and Valentina crept down the hall to check on him to see just how bad it was, as soon as they cracked the door open a little there he was sitting on the bed phone in hand sobbing to himself. It was in that instant that Valentina's heart began to break, this was a whole new side of Dallas that she'd never seen before, a side of him that only made her want to wrap him in her arms and tell him that things would be alright.

As for Dallas he was already in over his head in a pool of emotions, sorrow, anger, hatred towards himself mostly, and most of all…shame. He was ashamed that he couldn't play one simple little song for his mother on her deathbed, and like many times before as he listened to this song he was brought right back to those moments. The hardest moments in his life that he ever had to deal with, and ever would have to deal with.

Seattle Washington, three years ago…

It was just another Sunday afternoon, Dallas and his mother were just working there usual "magic" to make money the only way that they could, as a traveling fortune teller. It was their primary source of income for just about everything, next to selling herbal mixtures for everyday problems that most people couldn't afford a prescription from a doctor's office for. So people would come to them as their next available option and they'd always help out if they could. Dallas's mother would handle the fortune telling while he would work on the herbs which they grew fresh in a small herb garden in the back of their R.V.

And when it came to fortune telling Dallas's mother spared no expense when it came to taking on the traditional look of their gypsy ancestors. She dressed with a heavy blue dress and draped over her was a large scarf which also doubled as a hood. She also wore a few rings with large gemstones, and for some reason a fake mole on her nose but it was mostly to set the mood. "I see that you have suffered a terrible tragedy my child!" She said with a creepy which style voice.

Dallas just shook his head with a smile at his mother's act as she read off the tarot cards to their latest customer while he mixed together a balm meant for hemorrhoids. "Sure if you call a lump in your asshole a tragedy." He said under his breath.

Around that moment Dallas's mother flipped the next card and said. "OH…and it seems that misfortune follows you everyday and strikes when you least expect it!"

"Yeah…I…don't really have the best of luck most days." The customer said with a bit of a sad tone.

Then Dallas's mother flipped the last card, then being overly dramatic she gasped and said. "OH goodness…"

"Oh boy here we go." Dallas muttered to himself.

The customer then began to panic at her sudden look of shock. "What does it say?"

"It says…that a curse lies upon your head! A curse for a crime against a member of your family! Someone who has passed on seeks to make you suffer until the end of your days!" She said lifting her hands and shouting to the sealing of the R.V.

The customer suddenly began to panic. "Oh my god are you serious?" He asked with a distressed voice.

"I'm afraid so my dear…" She replied looking just as startled as he did, mostly for effect of course. "We have no time to lose! In order for you to end this curse upon your head then you must make amends with all deceased relatives that you may have wronged in their lifetime or suffer an eternity of misery and pain until the end of your days!"

From the other side of the R.V., Dallas was trying his best to hold back his laughter and wishing that he had a camera on him to film this man's reaction as he had completely fallen for his mother's fib. And by this point Dallas knew that his mother was probably going to rob this poor fool blind, either that or sell him a protective charm meant to ward off evil spirits, which of course would cost a customer a good sum of money even though in reality it was very cheap to make. However he clearly didn't know that. Was it an honest living doing what she did to hundreds of people within a month? Probably not, but at this time they were desperate for money and they had to get it somehow and at this point in time the only way to get it was by telling a few harmless lies every now and again. After selling the man is protective charm and his hemorrhoid cream, Ms. Jones sent her customer on his way and began counting out all the money he'd paid them. "250…260…270…280…290 and Mr. Jackson makes 300." She said as she stacked the money nice and neatly.

"So what did the last card actually say? I'm a little curious." Dallas asked as he finished cleaning out his mort and pestle.

"Oh it said his luck would turn around very soon in a way he wouldn't expect." She replied as she began to take off her outfit. "But I figured I could fudge it just a little so he'd pay for a charm, besides you never know when you might actually need one to protect you from evil. So as far as I can tell he's doubly insured."

"You know one of these days that's not gonna work, one day we might get a customer who can actually read tarot cards then we're gonna go hungry, just saying." Dallas stated as he started screwing around with his knife twirling the ring around on his finger.

Which earned him a very irritated looking scowl from his mother, not for his comment of course, but for the fact that he was playing with a very dangerous weapon. "How many times do I have to tell you not to play with that thing?" She snapped at him. "One of these days you're going to cut your finger off and when you do I'm going to have to sew it back on."

Dallas just waved off her comment and said in response. "Mom please I know what I'm doing." But in that moment as if the universe had decided to play a twisted joke on him he ended up cutting his hand anyway. "OW! Son of a…"

"You see what I tell you?" His mother asked with an almost snarky tone. Without even thinking she stood up and got the first aid kit and got to work disinfecting his wound, which wasn't very deep but definitely enough to hurt. "From now on maybe you'll be more careful with that stupid thing and stop treating it like it's a toy."

"Mom I'm part Lakota it's in my blood to have a thing for knives so that's probably not gonna happen, I mean the part where I start being more careful maybe but the part where I stop treating it like it's a toy…probably not gonna happen." Dallas said honestly as he let his mother dress the wound.

She must've known exactly where he was going with this as her response to this sentence was. "Don't you dare play the native American card on me mister. It got old a long time ago there's no excuse for you to have an obsession with knives."

"I do not have an obsession with knives mom, if I did I'd be sleeping with them." He replied as he flexed his hand a little bit. "Besides grandpa told me that the best way to win a knife fight is to stockpile them and store as many as you can on your person. That's what the Apache use to do and as far as I'm concerned it's a damn good tactic to have."

"You watch your language young man!" She snapped at him. "You know how I feel about swearing, it's a bad habit even worse than smoking."

Dallas just rolled his eyes at her comment not really swayed by her argument. "Well last time I checked swearing didn't cause lung cancer or any of the other fun things that come with smoking." He replied sarcastically.

"Oh don't give me that, now go get your violin and start practicing. You haven't practiced in over a week." She ordered with a stern look on her face.

"Yeah I know I'm going for the record." He responded jokingly, which earned him another glare from his mother. "Alright I'm going sheesh you don't have to get all huffy about it." Dallas went into the back of the R.V. and collected his violin, after tuning it up a little bit he then started to play it as instructed, however he intentionally did a terrible job of it as he always did. Mostly as retribution against his mother for making him learn how to play in the first place. It had been seven years since he first started practicing and his mother still hadn't let him drop it no matter how terribly it sounded as he played.

"Are you even trying?" His mother said just frustrated with him and how to make sure he was behaving.

Dallas then turned to his mother and said in response. "Well I'm sorry mom but this is the best I can do. To be honest I would have hoped you would let me quit by now but I guess I was wrong. I mean I'm clearly no good at it so what's the point? "

Upon hearing him say this his mother just glared at him angrily. "Dallas Anthony Jones-Clearlake you are going to learn how to play that instrument as well as Mozart even if it kills you! Understand? I refuse to allow you to become some uncultured swine!"

Upon hearing that Dallas's jaw just dropped. "Are you kidding me?" He asked with a dumbfounded expression. "My father was literally an archaeologist who taught me just about everything I needed to know about culture from all around the world."

"Digging around in the dirt for a bunch of old pots made of clay doesn't count. Now get back to it and actually put some effort into it, I want to hear you play Salut D'amour as if you were Edward Elgar himself." She then sat down in her chair waiting patiently for him to get back to practicing.

Dallas just mumbled to himself under his breath as he began to play yet again, and still not even trying in the least. But when he heard a loud thud hit the floor of their mobile home he paused for a moment and turned around to see his mother laying on the ground. "Okay now you're just being overdramatic." He said as he just assumed she was just screwing around. However she didn't respond even in the least, not so much as a twitch. "Mom seriously, this joke is lame even for you." He said again a little irritated with her. But he quickly learned that this was no act, especially when he saw blood dripping from her nose. In an instant Dallas dropped the violin and rushed over to his mother's side and tried to check for a pulse. After which he began to perform CPR as he discovered that her heart had stopped beating. Once he'd revived her he called 911 for an ambulance to help his mother. After the ambulance arrived the pair-o-medics took both Dallas and his mother straight to the hospital, for obvious reasons his mother was kept overnight for observation just to be safe, after taking a few samples of her blood as well as a few biopsy surgeries doctors had determined that she was positive for pancreatic cancer.

This was the last thing that Dallas had expected, it was also what he had feared the most. He was absolutely terrified that he was going to lose his mother and begged them to do everything humanly possible to save her. But sadly after a few more tests it was determined that she was in stage four, they'd estimated that she only had less than a year to live, not even long enough to see Christmas. After hearing this tragic news himself Dallas began to feel his whole world falling apart. But even though she should have been terrified his mother just kept on wearing a brave face, mostly for her son. She'd hoped that if he saw her smiling that he wouldn't worry too much about her, it didn't help much but that didn't stop her from trying.

Every single day Dallas went to the hospital with some kind of herbal mixture to help boost her immune system as well as give her the energy she needed to get through the day. And every time that he went back to the R.V. he would practice his violin and actually put real effort into it, it was the least that he could do for his mother in her final days of life. Eventually her final day had arrived, she was put in the ICU and being monitored by several machines. Once Dallas saw his mother in the hospital bed he tried to fight back the tears as best he could, but it proved to be very difficult for him to see his mother reduced to nothing more than a sack of bones. Seeing her like this just broke his heart, it was even worse than when his grandfather died because he was there with her the entire time.

Dallas cleared his throat as he began to talk. "Hey mom…I got what you wanted." He said as he held a handful of medicinal flowers meant for treating pain as well as his violin case.

She smiled warmly at him. "Come over here sweetie, give mommy a hug." She said with a weak voice, Dallas didn't hesitate as he made his way across the room and held her in his arms for what would definitely be the last time. "The doctors say that I barely have an hour left, but that's OK, because my little boy is here with me."

"I'm…" Dallas paused for only a minute to wipe his nose as well as a few tears. "I'm really sorry this had to happen to you."

Around this moment she just began to shush him as she held him close. "It's okay baby, mommy's gonna be just fine, because when I get to heaven I'm gonna have myself a nice little beach house just like we've always wanted, and maybe you'll meet some pretty cute girls when I see you again." She said softly in an attempt to make a joke to make him smile. Unfortunately it didn't work. "I see you brought your violin, have you been practicing?"

While he ground up the flowers in his mort and pestle he began to prepare himself for what he was about to do. I have to do it now, he thought to himself, this is the only chance she'll have to here me play for real. "Yeah…and…I've actually made some real progress too."

"Oh really…" She said curiously, and in response he nodded his head. "Can I hear a little bit?"

"Sure…" He said as he opened up his case. "Any requests?"

She smiled warmly and said. "Salut D'Amour…by Edward Elgar." In this moment a small glimmer of life actually managed to surface in her eyes as he began to play, he noticed this instantly, he knew that the pressure was truly on now as he began to play the soft tune. But just as he was in the middle of the first bar he hit the wrong note causing a horrible screech to ring out. "It's okay honey, just try again." She said with a hopeful smile. And so he did, just like before he began to play the sweet melody, only to fail again with another ear piercing screech.

What the hell is going on? He asked himself mentally, I practiced so much this week I should know this note. He kept on trying over and over and over again but always failing to hit the right note. Eventually his mother spoke up. "Dallas?" She cooed. "Please…just stop."

As he turned to look at her he could see in her eyes, for the first time sense they'd found out about her condition he saw tears in her eyes. Were they tears of pain, or tears of sorrow, or was she crying because he'd gotten her hopes up thinking that she might be able to see him play. "No…" He argued. "No I can do it mom I've been practicing I…"

"Dallas…please…it's okay. You don't have to do this, the fact that you actually tried is more than enough for me." She stated with a calm voice.

But Dallas was quick to protest again. "But I promised you that once I learned the song that I'd play it for you I just…"

She then took one of his hands into her own and said. "Then play it for me…but not until you're ready to."

After finally getting him to stop playing Dallas decided that at the very least he could play the song with her CD player for her, and so he did. He then got out her portable CD player and put in her CD of Edward Elgar's top ten symphonies, then he turned up the volume as loud as it could go then hit play. Then she asked him to sit with her until her time finally came, they just sat there together listening to the song on loop just holding one another. Until finally after the song had ended after several times, that's when Dallas heard it, the deafening tone of the heartrate monitor…as it flatlined, and his mother's final words. "I love you Dallas."

And in that moment, Dallas couldn't hold back the tears any longer, he held on to his mother tight in his arms as he sobbed aloud, not caring who saw him like this. In this moment, he'd never felt so alone. In this moment, he had lost the very last thing in this world that he'd cared about. Not long after child services came and helped track down his uncle Seth, who just turned him away at the door and making it very clear that he wanted nothing to do with him. The only other people who might've taken him was his grandfather on his mother's side or his cousin. But sadly his grandfather had passed away only a year before and his cousin was serving a tour in the middle east in the united states marines. So he was left with only one option, foster care. He wasn't even with his new family for a week before he decided that he wanted nothing else to do with them, especially sense his foster father was an abusive man who would hit him just for speaking out of line, and his foster mother wasn't much better as she would just ignore her husband's abuse towards him. So the first chance he got Dallas stole their credit cards, and their car. Then he drove straight for Seattle, not long after that he managed to find the R.V. in an impound lot. Just about everything that he and his mother had were still there, from their personal belongings to there photo albums. All of these things that were supposed to be put into storage at his request. But clearly that never happened, it made him angry that they didn't bother doing it. But there was one silver lining at least, he was home…in a place where he felt like he belonged.

But that's when he remembered that he was still alone, and not only that but he'd forgotten to do something, something that was a tradition in his culture for a time such as this. So he took a pair of scissors, brought them to the base of his pony tail, and in one swift motion…he cut his hair. Then in an instant…he began to cry, because he had just removed the last thing connecting him to his mother, a small shed of this part of his life, was gone.

Present day…

"I'm sorry mommy…" Dallas sobbed as he just hung his head low in shame. "I made you a promise and…and I couldn't deliver. I am such…a terrible son."

From beyond the door Adrien and Valentina could hear everything he was saying, everything he said was that of self loathing and regret. Which meant that their plan to help him had just gotten a little bit harder. But none the less they were determined to help him no matter what it took and that was what they were going to do. Around that moment little Yuri snuck up behind his mother and newly made uncle as they just stood beyond the door. "Mommy? Uncwe Adwien? What awe you doing?"

They both turned around slightly startled that he'd managed to sneak up on them without either of them noticing, which made Valentina a little proud that he was so good at being unseen and unheard until he wanted to be. But then she remembered what Adrien had talked about and figured this was the best time to start helping Dallas. "Yurochka, listen very carefully to me. I need you to go into your father's room and keep him company for a bit, can you do that for me?" She asked as she knelt down to her son's level.

In response she received a small nod of his head followed by a tiny little "Uh-huh." Then he proceeded into his father's room, he paused when he saw a sight that confused him as well as tug on his heartstrings as he saw his father, a person who he still barely knew but loved with all his heart, crying his eyes out for reasons he didn't understand. "Daddy?"

Upon hearing the voice of his son Dallas stopped feeling sorry for himself for a minute as he looked up and saw his son Yuri standing in the doorway. "Yuri…" He uttered unaware of how long Yuri had been standing there.

"Why awe you cwying?" Yuri started to ask with worry.

Dallas didn't want to lie to his son but he wasn't sure if he had the strength at the moment to tell him the truth either, so he decided the best thing to do was to deny what his son had seen. He just wiped his eyes and cleared his throat as he began to speak. "I'm not crying buddy, daddy's just fine."

But Yuri wasn't buying it, he may have been young and naive at times but he was smart enough to know when someone was telling a white lie. "Why awe you lying daddy?"

Dallas wasn't surprised that he didn't believe him, especially sense he'd walked in while he was still in the midst of crying, but mainly because he was smart enough to see the apple didn't fall far from the tree. "It's nothing buddy, I promise you…daddy is just fine."

As much as he wanted to believe this Yuri knew better, he could sense that his father was in pain, even though he didn't know why or for what reason he knew that he had to try and make him feel better if he could. Without hesitation Yuri just ran up to his father and hugged his knee as tightly as he could, this alone caused Dallas to cry a little bit again, he then scooped Yuri up in his arms and just held him close and just let the pain wash away. It was almost therapeutic for him while he was in this state, he was grateful now more than ever that he'd brought this wonderful child into the world wishing with every single shred of his being that his mother could've met her grandson. Eventually Dallas calmed down, then he and his son finally left the room, but upon entering the living room Dallas paused as he came face to face with someone he didn't expect.

"Good evening Dallas, I see you've been doing well." Fu started up as he poured a cup of tea for himself.

Yuri just stared at Fu with confusion, he had no idea who this old man was or why he was even there. "Daddy who's dat?" He asked puzzledly.

Dallas figured that this might happen someday, but he didn't think it would happen this soon in Yuri's life. But that wasn't the issue at the moment. "Master Fu, what are…" As Dallas began to ask Doof came running into the living room and barking up a storm as he made a beeline straight for Master Fu, who just sat there calmly and not moving so much as a muscle even when he had a snarling dog in his face.

"No! Bad dog!" Fu snapped as he took two fingers and pinched a section of Doof's neck, then as a result Doof stopped growling, his eyes shot open wide, his ears stood straight upward and then finally, he fell to the floor with a loud thud seeming to be lifeless say for the fact that he was still breathing.

Dallas then looked at Doof with amazement at what Fu had just done to him. "How did you do that? Also can you teach me how to do that?"

"Ancient Chinese secret, and maybe some other time." Fu said back as he took a sip of tea

"Okay fair enough." Dallas replied plainly.

Seeing what had become of his dog Yuri then looked to his father and asked with concern. "Daddy, did he kiwl Doof?"

"I don't think so, he's still breathing so I think he's just taking a nap." Then Dallas began to ask again. "So what are you doing here? And where is everybody?"

"Adrien and Marinette decided to have an evening out, and it would seem that your lover…Valentina I believe her name was? She said that she wanted your son to start learning how to play an instrument, and luckily for her Adrien new of my own skills in playing the violin so I agreed to teach him." He replied casually.

Upon hearing which instrument he'd be learning to play Dallas began to tense up as well as feel a bit enraged. He knew Adrien was responsible for this, he didn't know why he was doing this to him but he knew one thing for sure, he was going to have a very serious conversation. "I see…while I think it's a good idea for Yuri to be a bit more cultured don't you think he's a bit too young to start learning how to play such a complicated instrument?" Dallas replied as best he could without shouting let alone just flat out refusing this.

"You can never be too young to learn a new skill, besides I'm sure he'll enjoy it." Fu replied just as casual. He then reached around and picked up a violin case then opened it up revealing a small violin meant for a child around Yuri's age. "Come on little one, take it."

Dallas wanted to stop Yuri from taking it, even forbid him from learning it altogether. But what right did he have to do so? For what excuse could he use to keep his son from learning to play? Simply saying that it would upset him just wasn't good enough to stop this from happening, and not only that but there was the possibility that Yuri might actually want to give it a try and he didn't want to ruin that for him. "Alright…if she thinks he should learn then…I guess…it's okay with me…as long as it's Yuri's choice that is." Dallas stated hoping that his son would opt out, Come on kid-o please say no! He begged inwardly.

But sadly for him Yuri decided to give it a chance. "Otay misser Fu." He said as he took the little violin in his hands. Dallas just winced at his son's choice, it took every last ounce of his strength to stay calm and not leave the room, he then proceeded to sit down on the couch behind him and just braced himself for what was sure to be his third emotional whiplash of the day.

It started out simply with Fu showing him how to hold the violin properly. "Place your left hand here on the neck just behind the head and rest your chin here, then you take the bow in your free hand and place hear just in front of the bridge here, then you pull the bow across the strings like so." With Fu's assistance Yuri began to play a simple soft note. "Very good very good, now to teach you each individual note. We'll start with a simple A-cord."

It was painful for Dallas to watch his son learn the instrument that held such a heavy anchor of heartache as it reminded him of everything to do with his situation with his mother's passing. But he refused to leave the room, whether it was his pride or his love for his son he would not budge an inch from that couch even if there were a gun in his face. After Yuri had learned a few of the notes that's when Fu received a phone call. "Hello? Yes this is Mr. Chang…what? I'm sorry I can't hear you…please wait a moment. Yurochka I need to step out for a moment, while I'm gone I want you to give this song a try." Fu then handed Dallas a book of sheet music and said. "Page fifteen, it's a fairly easy song to learn." Then he started towards the door.

This didn't make any sense to Dallas at all and he was not one to confuse easily either and he tried to make it clear as he called after Fu. "Wait a second, he only just started learning a few notes he's not…hey…HEY I'm talking to…" But he was simply ignored as Fu closed the door behind him.

Dallas then swallowed hard as he dread to see the author of this sheet music, but luckily for him it wasn't a composition of who he thought it was. As he saw the name of the book he then breathed a sigh of relief as it simply read "popular children's songs." He then turned to page fifteen and just rolled his eyes at the song, which was coincidentally the very first song Dallas learned as well, twinkle-twinkle little star. "Alright buddy, you wanna give this a go?" Dallas asked as he held the book open for Yuri to look at while he played.

"Otay daddy." Yuri replied as he readied himself to play his first song.

But before he let him start Dallas quickly said. "Yuri, before you start…just…do your best for now okay? Don't try to be the best." Yuri then nodded understandingly just before he started to play the notes on the sheet, it didn't take long for him to mess up as there was an ear piercing screech from the strings, both Yuri and Dallas winced from the painful tone.

"I messdid up didn'd I?" Yuri asked the obvious as he looked up at Dallas with a little bit of a worried look for some reason.

Dallas figured that he assumed that he'd be mad at him for messing it up, but he wasn't naturally. It was his first try so he was bound to mess up on the first go. "It's okay buddy just…try again." He said with a soothing tone. So he did, he played a few notes and then…SCREECH! But Dallas just encouraged him to try again, and he did, he tried over and over and over and over again up until he started to get frustrated and just threw the violin on the ground. Then he started to throw a tantrum as he stomped one foot on the ground in anger simply because he couldn't get the song right. "Hey…hey Yuri stop that! Stop that right now that is no way to behave!" Dallas ordered in a calm but firm voice, then he realized what he'd said and thought, wow I can't believe I just said that.

Then in a heartbeat Yuri's tantrum erupted into tears of frustration. "I can'd do it daddy! I juss can'd!"

Seeing him like this only made Dallas's heart begin to break as it brought him right back to the point of his greatest failure in life, in this moment he saw what his mother must've seen just before she passed and like his mother all he wanted to do was comfort him. He set the book down then he knelt down to his son's level and just took him in his arms and held him. "It's okay buddy, you tried your best and…" He paused as he recognized the very words he was using from the night his mother died. "The fact that you actually tried is more than enough for me. I know you'll play the song someday, but…not until you're ready."

What he said to Yuri helped him feel a little better, but he was still so frustrated that he couldn't play the song right. "I'm juss nod good enough daddy." He said with a sniffle.

"It's okay, you'll get there eventually." Dallas replied softly as he tried to encourage his son not to quit for good. That's when he, Dallas Anthony Jones-Clearlake, American rebel and all around bad boy with a soft spot hidden away from everyone but those who knew him, decided to do something that would most likely leave him in tears but he was going to do it anyway for the sake of his son. "Maybe…you just need to follow by example. Stay here daddy will be right back." Dallas then disappeared into his bed room and began to go through his suitcase, he then paused when he found exactly what he was looking for, something that he'd swore he'd never open up again if he could help it, his violin case.

He then returned to the living room holding his violin case, Yuri looked a little surprised that his father was actually prepared for this. "You pway duh viowin too daddy?" He asked with a surprised look on his face.

"Well…not so much anymore buddy…" Dallas replied as he began to remove the instrument from the case and began to tune it up after so long. "You see…my mommy wanted me to learn how to play too when I was a little older than you, and at the time I never wanted to learn but she wouldn't take no for an answer and she made me learn how to play, and eventually I did…but after she died I just…stopped playing for a long time."

"Why?" Yuri asked with curiosity.

Dallas just paused for a moment as he said. "I was upset that she was gone, and…just trying to play made me think about her and…it made me feel sad…so I just stopped playing for a long time." He then paused as he took the violin and held it in the ready position. "But I don't think she'd want me to use her as an excuse to never play again." As Dallas gripped the bow in his hand he held on to it a little tightly while trying to keep it together, then he started to pull the bow across the strings filling the room with the sweet melody. He wasn't one hundred percent perfect naturally as he hadn't played in years, but he was still able to play without stopping for any reason.

The entire time he played before his son Yuri remained silent as he was captivated by his father's skill as a violinist, it may have only been a short song but it was still performed beautifully. Once Dallas had finished he set his violin down, hands shaking slightly, he began to feel slightly emotional as he came to realize what he'd just accomplished. "I did it…" He whispered to himself. "But I couldn't play at all last time…so how…how can I play now?" A short while after Dallas's mother had passed away he tried to play Salut D'Amour for her ashes, but when he tried to do so every single note sounded sour and terrible to the ear, he was lost in deep thought as he simply observed this whole thing, then he was brought out of it as Yuri started clapping for his father's performance.

"Dat was weawy pwetty daddy." Yuri stated with a smile.

Dallas smiled softly at his son as he replied. "Nah it wasn't that good."

"Uh-huh, it was so pwetty daddy, mommy would've wiked id too." Yuri said again with a big grin. "Can you pway mowr daddy pweeeease?"

Dallas couldn't help but smile at Yuri's newly found enthusiasm, so he started to play a few more songs for Yuri. Just outside of the safehouse everyone involved in Adrien's little scheme was just watching as Dallas played for Yuri on a tablet in an unmarked van which Megan had rented for just this situation. "I can't believe it…" Adrien stated with bewilderment as he stared at the screen. "This is his seventh song and he hasn't stopped once. I honestly thought that this would've been a lot harder to get him to go this far."

"Well that's Dallas for you, somehow he always manages to do the impossible." Valentina stated knowing very well that this was the truth as she knew him better than anyone.

"It would seem that you're right…" Fu added as he too watched Dallas's performance. "But one thing remains to be answered, is he ready to face his darkest demon?"

Neither Adrien or Valentina were sure of this either but were still hopeful that he would be, and he would have to be as well, because in her penthouse across town Chloe Bourgeois had just managed to get in contact with the Italian embassy. "Hello ambassador, this is Chloe Bourgeois, I'm just calling to see if you could make a small alteration to the list of music for your embassy's charity event this week? It's for a good friend of mine you see and he would just love it if you could add his favorite song to the list…which song you ask? Oh it's a beautiful song from the great and magical mind of Edward Elgar, the name of the song…Salut D'Amour…thank you so much I'll be looking forward to seeing his reaction at the dinner party thankyou again and have a wonderful day." She said as she hung up the phone and smirked. "This'll teach you to humiliate me at school Jones, in so many ways."

(A/N: And you all thought that Lila was a sociopathic bitch, sure she might want Dallas dead but at least she's not trying to torture him with his PTSD, anyway that's where we'll end things for now, hope you enjoyed this chapter and once again sorry that it took so long to get it out. Anyway it's time for the spoiler, in the next chapter of WOS, The charity event begins, Adrien discovers Chloe's plan to hurt his blood brother and Dallas has a heart to heart chat with his mother, FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!
