Raven862 asked about this classic song from Muppet Treasure Island, so enjoy your request! I thought it would be fun if, following their adventure in my story The Hexley Hall Game Day Challenge, they ran into one more obstacle before the Visitors' Day performance. Wendell and Sandra are getting along since the spell on them was broken, but Wendell is starting to like the Orillian princess, but she sees him as a friend. He tries to talk to her when they encounter a bully and Sandra helps him, but they both run into trouble. They still try to make the most of the situation. Muppet Treasure Island is not mine.

Sofia and her friends were going to another workshop at Hexley Hall following their triumph over Grimtrix Truesdale. They were happy that he had been turned into a statue, and that the statue was now going to be in the special secure area of Hexley Hall, where nobody could go and retrieve the statue and bring Grimtrix back to life.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Sofia asked.

"I'm on my way to the Creative Writing workshop," James grinned, patting the bag that held his new black and white plush jaquin. "I'm sure Zebra here will have some brilliant ideas for my stories!" Seeing Wendell smirk at the thought, he smirked himself as he added, "Don't look at me like that, Wendell, I remember you got done with work early one day at the castle, and I let you, Dorrie, Gwen, Chef Andre, and Candice sit in on one of my writing sessions with my plush friends!"

"We all came up with a story that day!" Candice smiled, thinking of her doll, and how James had asked her to bring her along with her. "Who'd have ever guessed that Jenny had such a creative mind?"

"That's right," Wendell grinned. "I never knew your plush friends were so talented! And just so you know, I've decided to subscribe to the magazine you have your stories in, Adventure Stories Weekly."

"Brilliant! And since you like my stories, it looks like Mr. Herman's going to make an appearance in a story or two now!" James grinned.

"Okay, but before this gets too far along, I'm going to the Enchanted Art workshop!" Zoe grinned.

"Me too!" Amber smiled. "Of course, the Astronomy workshop isn't until later tonight, but I want to do something before I stay up so late."

"If you need some Wide-Eye Potion to help you stay awake, let us know, and we'll make some for you," Candice offered, Dorrie nodding at her side.

"I'll take you up on that," Amber smiled.

"So, Sandra, is it going to be Cooking Arts for you?" Dorrie smiled.

"Is it really that obvious?" Sandra smirked. "But yes, and I'll be sure to make copies of the recipes for you. And after that, I'm going to the Wand Combat class."

"Good thing we all signed up for that one," Candice smiled. "Amber, James, and Zoe can learn how to defend themselves with wands now!"

"I can't wait for that!" James grinned. "I know I'm going to use a sword and shield most of the time as a knight, but it can't hurt to learn how to defend myself with a wand too."

"That's right, and the knights in Orillia use wands as part of their arsenal too," Sandra agreed.

"Yeah! When they started out as squires, Zanven gave them a training wand, then when they got really good, he turned the wands real, just like he did with mine!" Zoe added, remembering what Ezekiel and Sandra had told her.

"Are you going to be a knight too, Zoe?" Sofia asked.

"No, but Aleena, Mommy, Daddy, Sandra, and even Zeke say I should have my wand with me to defend myself if I ever get into trouble," Zoe explained. "Of course, I still had my training wand when he was with us in the castle, but I'll write him a letter and tell him I have a real wand now!"

"That's right, it never hurts to be prepared," Sandra agreed. "Just like I have my dagger with me to defend myself, I use a wand too, just like Mom and Dad, only Mom doesn't use her wand as much, and Dad uses a sword more, but he uses his wand when he needs to."

"What kind of wands do they have?" Lucinda asked.

"Dad's is 13-and-a-half inches, fir, phoenix feather, medium colored and reasonably supple, and Mom's is ash, unicorn hair, 10 inches, light colored, and springy, according to Zanven," Sandra replied. "I wrote to them yesterday about Zoe getting a new wand, and Aleena wrote back to say that she's going to start training her when we get home."

As everyone went to their various workshops, Wendell offered to walk Sandra to the kitchen. She tried to protest, but he assured her that it was no problem, since it was on the way to his Divination class.

"Okay, but only if you want to," Sandra agreed.

"I do, and not just because I can sneak in later and sample the treats you make!" Wendell grinned.

"That's what I make extra treats for!" Sandra joked.

Suddenly, they heard, "That's right, loser; she does all the work, and you get all the snacks."

Wendell and Sandra turned. Standing behind them was another boy who was attending the workshops and Game Day, Derek von Schroeder, one of Zoe and Wendell's fellow Stryker housemates.

"Derek von Schroeder! I almost didn't recognize you without your 'Grimtrix getup,'" Sandra tried to sound polite as she remembered him in his white shirt, dark gray pants and boots, green houndstooth coat and porkpie-brimmed hat. "How are you doing? Are you all right?"

"Save the small talk and go to the kitchen where you belong," Derek snapped. "My business is with this loser right here!"

"You're talking to a princess, so learn some respect," Wendell snapped back.

"He's right," Sandra agreed, "And just so you know, I'm also being trained as a knight of Orillia by the other knights of Orillia! Also, knights of Orillia have incredible cooking and fighting skills!"

"Don't talk back to me," Derek growled, aiming his wand at her, "Levicorpus!"

At the same time, since he remembered how Sandra had said that she couldn't tumble or go upside-down, Wendell quickly pushed her out of the way, only to end up hanging by his ankle himself.

"Thank you, Wendell, and von Schroeder, that tears it!" Sandra shouted as she stood up again and saw him coming at her. She aimed her own wand at Derek. "Immobulus!" When he was immobilized, she raised her wand and shouted, "Periculum!" She saw people running toward her, following her red sparks.

"Princess Sandra! Mister Fidget! Mister von Schroeder! What is going on here?" Miss Lovegood gasped as she came running up.

"For my final trick, Liberacorpus!" Sandra said as she released Wendell from Derek's spell. "Miss Lovegood, Derek here tried to attack me and Wendell as we were walking. He tried to flip me upside-down, but Wendell pushed me out of the way and he got hit by the spell instead."

"Well done, both of you," Miss Lovegood smiled. "Fifty points to Waldgrave, and thirty points to Stryker. It would have fifty as well, but I'm docking twenty because of Mister von Schroeder's bullying."

"That's all right, Miss Lovegood," Wendell smiled as she helped him up. "Just so long as Sandra's all right."

"I'm fine," Sandra nodded.

"Not for long!" Derek yelled. He aimed his wand at them and encased Wendell and Sandra in a bubble, much like the one Grimtrix had trapped them in before and started bouncing them around.

"That's enough of that!" Miss Lovegood shouted. "Mister von Schroeder, you are finished with the workshops. Come with me to my office while your parents are summoned!"

"Wait! Shouldn't you stop the bouncing first?" Sofia asked.

"Of course," Miss Lovegood nodded, aiming her wand at the bubble. "Finite." She turned back to Sofia. "I trust you to get them out of there." She turned to Wendell and Sandra, and wrote down, 'I'm sorry; I'd do this myself, but this other issue can't wait.'

"Don't mind us, Miss Lovegood, we'll just hang around," Wendell said as she took Derek's arm and led him away. He knew Miss Lovegood couldn't hear him, but she did see him wave her apology away.

When Miss Lovegood and Derek were gone, Sandra frowned. "You know, I'm really beginning to hate this bubble spell!"

"I'm not too crazy about it myself," Wendell frowned, but then he smiled a little, "But at least you helped me, and I appreciate it."

"You helped me first," Sandra smiled a little.

Wendell smiled, but when he saw Sofia raise her wand to free them, he made a 'time-out' sign and called, "One minute!"

"Wendell, what are you doing?" Sandra asked.

"I've always wanted to try this," Wendell said as he waved his wand and cast a different spell.

"Again I say, Wendell, what's going on?" Sandra asked as she heard music.

"Just this," Wendell smiled as he began to sing.

Was I dumb or was I blind
Or did my heart just lose its mind
Why'd I go and throw our perfect dream away

"So that's why he wants us to wait!" Amber smiled, seeing him take her hand.

Beside her, Dorrie smiled as she made a small window appear outside the bubble so they could hear the music.

"I knew it! He likes her!" Sofia smiled.

"I see you as a friend, Wendell, but I'll still humor you," Sandra smirked as she joined in, Looking back I'll never know
How I ever let you go
But destiny could see we deserve to have another day

"I know, and I see you as a friend too," Wendell smiled.

He and Sandra sang together, Love led us here
Right back to where we belong
We followed a star and here we are
Now heaven seems so near
Love led us here

Wendell took her hand and sang, Now I know that life can take you by surprise
And sweep you off your feet

As Sandra scribbled something down on her notebook and showed it to Sofia and the others, she joined in, Did this happen to us

Wendell sang with her, Or are we just dreaming?

Sofia smiled as she read, 'Get us out of here please! And just so you know, I like him as a friend!'

Amber smiled as she wrote something down, 'No problem, but you two look so cute together! What is it with princesses and magical individuals liking each other?'

"Amber!" Sofia pouted as she read what Amber wrote, but she smiled as she remembered how much time she had spent with Cedric before he was removed as royal sorcerer.

"Note to self, put black eye liner on Amber's telescope lens before she goes to her Astronomy workshop!" Sandra muttered when she read what Amber wrote.

Wendell grinned at the thought of Amber with a black ring around her eye. "Count me in! And just be glad that she can't hear us!"

Sandra nodded as she and Wendell sang together, Love led us here
Right back to where we belong
We followed a star and here we are
Now heaven seems so near
Love led us here

Wendell started, So take my hand

Sandra joined in, And have no fear

She and Wendell finished the song, We'll be all right
Love led us here

"Okay, now before you two get too mushy…" James smirked, aiming his wand at them, "With these words I end your trouble, Rupto Sudso, pop that bubble! And thank you, Sof, for teaching me that spell!"

"Don't give us that, James, you're probably going to sing that with Vivian too," Amber giggled as Wendell and Sandra fell out of the bubble.

"That's true," Sofia grinned as she and Candice helped them up, "But really, Wendell, Sandra, are you two okay?"

"I'm fine," Wendell replied as Sandra nodded beside him.

"That's nice, but I will be keeping an eye on my telescope now!" Amber added.

"Oh…you heard that?" Sandra asked.

"Oh, yes," Amber smirked. "But as long as you share the recipes you're going to make, I'll let it slide!"
