The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day- Unknown Veteran

Ruby stood to attention beside the rest of her team; they were fully dressed in full combat attire aside from their rucksacks, which they ditched for mobility. They stood within the dimly lit room, the only source of blueish light being emanated from the projector above.

"The plan is as follows" begun the officer in front of them "The whole force will surround the warehouse; your job will be to get up here to the skylight and provide overwatch. You will be issued with tear gas grenades which you toss down there. Understood?"

"Yes sir!" replied the group in unison

"Now then, prepare yourselves. Bring gas masks and non-lethal ammunition should you have it. Dismissed!"

Walking out of the room ruby went up to Overseer Blair and asked "But I don't have a gas mask, nor do I remember packing non-lethal rounds. What do I do?"

The man chuckled and directed her back to her room where her luggage lay, turns out it was all there; placed expertly within various containers.

Ruby gazed up at the night sky from the metal cradle of the APC's open top, the empty wind being only illuminated by the occasional streetlights of the industrial district. The vehicle's lights were off was well as the rest of the Police convoy trailing behind them. This was it, her first real mission; she would prove to them and herself that she was worthy of the title.

"Stay low" commanded the Police officer before gesturing to the woman beside him "Twitch, get a drone in there and check if our Intel was correct. The woman nodded before taking out a quadrotor and expertly flying it over the skylight.

"Yes sir" she nodded "There appears to be at least fifty that I can see"

"Are they armed?"

"They appear to be split into two halves, one is armed with swords and rifles; they are dressed in the known WF uniform, the rest appear to be civilians and have no weapons"

"Excellent" he mumbled before taking out a radio "All rats are present within the sewer, Weedwhacker are there any rats left outside"

"No, sir" replied a voice

"Excellent, all exterminator teams prepare to Breach" he turned to Ruby and the other Overseers "Make your way to the skylight and prepare to throw on my call, use non-lethal rounds where possible"

The climb was the easy part… but moving slowly enough not to make the roof creak whatsoever was not.

Neo woke up to the sound of something outside. She stood up and looked around, judging from the sound coming from the warehouse's far side the meeting had already begun, perhaps that is what woke her up? No, it was something else.

It was probably a bird or whatever but she had to check it just in case. She teleported outside to a nearby building where she knew a guard would be stationed and looked over the railing. She was startled to see groups of shadowy figures. Thud, she felt something impact her side… with a thud she dropped like a leaf in front of the confused man who was looking over the area.

"Goole this is Weedwhacker, erm… I'm not sure how to say it but this girl just teleported in front of me… yeah I knocked her out… ok, I'll bring her down for questioning"

As Ruby neared the skylight she looked in to see a whole crowd of people (Some White Fang, some not) standing before a raised platform upon which stood another; visibly more senior, White Fang member.

"Brothers of the White Fang" he begun, his voice booming over the idle chatter of the others "We have come to this new land to liberate it from the oppressive regime of the City Councils and to give it back to its rightful owners, the Faunus!" He was met with a cheer from below and continued. She nearly kept listening before she felt a tap on her shoulder and saw Overseer Blair pointing to his face, he wore a standard black rubber gas mask with a hose pipe leading down to a filter on his belt. Noting what he implied she took her own canister and clicked the lid open, she took out the gas mask and soon enough (with some assistance) she was ready. The mask somewhat obscured her vision but thankfully not too much.

"All exterminators, this is Goole, mission is a go, Skylight team throw gas in ten, everyone else breach in thirty. GO!"

Those ten seconds were nerve wracking as Ruby's shaking hands lifted a white canister from her webbing which read 'TEAR GAS' and pulled the pin. Her grenade primed she saw the others do the same. The ten seconds were up and now she threw…

John Smith stood beside his sister Eva Smith in front of the stage. The man talking (Whatever his name was) certainly had a point… 'This is our land' he thought, agreeing with the man on stage. But then… CRASH, the whole skylight above them shattered into a million shining stars and pelted them like comets. Of course he panicked; little did anyone notice the canisters falling alongside the glass…

Ruby watched over the crowd as they began to violently rub their eyes and yell for mercy. Thirty second in the doors imploded; sending splinters and shrapnel into the crowd.

"POLICE, GET ON THE GROUND" Shouted a voice over some loudspeaker outside as several shields entered the room, their gas masks sparing them the fate of those on the round right now.

Those few that were somehow immune to the gas were quickly dispatched by Ruby and her team's non-lethal shots to the chest. She remembered Avgust telling her about them on their way there to pass the time. These bullets are made with a blunt tip out of compressed salt, propelled by a weak black powder charge and thus likely won't break the target's skin. (Sigh) she almost felt sorry for them, but they brought it on themselves; after all, compared to Vale there is just about no racism against the Faunus here…

Just as she finished her thoughts the gas-masked policemen began to lead the now restrained White Fang Members towards the Vans, of course five Police Vans could only just barely fit all fifty of them and thus the Policemen were forced to sit on the vans' roofs. Their APC was also had its two remaining seats filled with an odd looking girl in cuffs carried a Police Inspector in a trench coat and fedora.

"Inspector Schultz Lehmann, MPF hard crime division, I was impressed by your work today Overseers and I wish to congratulate you on it but our work is not over yet…. This girl" he said pointing to the one sleeping beside him "She teleported in front of Weedwhacker and was armed, fortunately he was able to sedate her before she noticed him. Either way it is obvious that she is trained in aura usage and has her semblance as Teleportation of some sort. Thus I must ask you to have a long look over her and tell me if you recognize her"

Ruby gazed at the sleeping face, it was no one she had seen before thus she replied "No Inspector, she isn't one I recognize" the others saying something similar

"I see, in that case I wish you to accompany me to the questioning room to… Contain her, should she become violent"

As the convoy drove through the evening dawn back to the Police station Ruby felt the tension of the Raid finally leave her body and she allowed herself to sigh. She had shot a few Faunus who were visibly unaffected by the gas and saw them being literally thrown back by the impacts of her rounds. Non-lethal or not that must have broken something judging by how they fell in pain… before she thought before feeling a tap on her shoulder

"So, what do you think Ruby?" asked Blair "You did quite well for an Initiate"

"Thank you, I'm just wondering what will happen to them now. Back at home they were just thrown in prison 'till they eventually escaped…"

To her surprise it was the Detective that answered "Things are different here, we send them to be educated and learn a trade. Repeat offenders are sent to work in workshops for the state. As a result of this somewhat unconventional system we have an unfortunately very low crime rate"

"Why is having a high crime rate a good thing?" asked Ruby, bewildered at the thought of there existing any positives to Crime

"Well, crime rates are technically just the number of crimes that are reported. A low crime rate means that there is either little crime or that it isn't being reported… with a high crime rate we could follow up on these reports and perhaps even catch the crooks behind them. If not then we're blind. You see now?" answered the Detective gazing at the still sleeping girl before noting "She should be awake by now, perhaps an overdose?"

Either way they had finally arrived back at the police station "All WF members and civilians found at the scene should be put into the holding cells. Overseers help me carry her to the Interrogation room…" shouted the Detective as he and Overseer Andreev picked her up and hauled her over to the doors.

Neo woke up with a major headache to find herself strapped to a chair in an empty room with only a single light bulb casting a cone of light upon her… 'How did I end up here' she asked herself before remembering the event of last night's meeting…

She began to try and access her aura to find it had a suppressive of some sort on her; completely preventing her from teleporting her out of wherever she was…

She heard the door unlock and was met with the silhouette of a man in a trench coat and fedora and two others walking in "How has your rest been?" asked the man "We thought you'd wake up earlier but the dose we shot you with may have been a bit much… so tell me, why do you not have any identity on the criminal registry, or any whatsoever" seeing her not respond he repeated "Hurry up before we have to resort to other methods…" just then a cart with various hammers, scalpels and instruments rolled up beside him.

She tried to speak only to let out a wheeze from her throat. The man went up to her and took her by the neck, he lifted her head slightly and looked down her collar. Seeing nothing he opened her mouth and looked down with the assistance of a torch. "This one is mute" he said to one of the others "Bring me a pen and paper" he nodded and left the room

"You, cannot speak but can you write?" she nodded "Alright then, one of my associates in bringing paper and a pen, I will unfasten your right cuff. Make any attempt to escape and your head gets blown off" to lustrate his point a pistol was pointed at her out of the darkness. As the paper arrived the man pulled a desk out of the darkness around her before unfastening her cuff and handing her the pen

"First question- What is your name" he asked

"I don't have one, but people call me Neapolitan" she wrote back

"What do you mean you don't have a name?"

"I was never given one"

"(Sigh) I'll refer to you as Neo then. Second question-What were you doing at that warehouse?"

"I had lost something in the area and I was trying to find it" she lied, there was no way he'd fall for that one

"So you were looking for something with a weapon in hand and at nearly midnight? Forgive me but I don't believe you whatsoever"

"Alright, I was there to attend the meeting"

"That would somewhat true but judging from these photos right here there would be more to it" he said tossing over a folder. Its pictures spilled over the desk to show a sleeping Neo and her standing up reading something "It is quite obvious that you were more than just a recruit, plus I'm quite sure that the White Fang would not allow humans to join, more so sleep in their base. We have all the base's documents, it is only a matter of time before we find out" he picked up one of the scalpels off the table "So you'd be better off telling us what you know before things have to get messy…."
