Virgil knew if he stayed here he would leave with only a few of his intestines so he quickly made his way home, if you could even call his shithole of an apartment a home. Virgil slammed the door ignoring the neighbors that were cursing him out and slid down it the moment it closed his head in his hands. "Why me how the hell I did my best so I could escape this hellhole not be dragged further in" Virgil mumbled angry at himself for once again getting in trouble.
Virgil stood up after a few more minutes and he sat down on his bed which looked to be a moment away from breaking "I guess I should get to bed and hope I survive another day" Virgil said to himself to tired to even put on PJs or take off his shoes.
"You did what!" Remus exclaimed once they were alone in Janus's large penthouse.
"He intrigued you didn't he you would have done the same thing I just did it better" Janus said waving away Remus's accusations while going to get a glass of wine because fuck legal drinking age.
"He might try and run" Remus pointed out but mentally agreed that he would have done the same thing Janus did.
"He won't run if he values his friends life and his own" Janus said looking every bit the part of a mob boss.
"What do you plan to do to him because the others seem quite attached already" Remus asked feeling strange at being on the other side of this conversation.
"I went with my gut like you always do and I think it is the correct way to go as what I plan to do with him I'm not sure yet but I assume it will come in due time."
"I'll follow your lead as usual De but if this was all you wanted to tell me why didn't you just call me" Remus asked.
"Because I'm in need of your specific talents for a minor expedition" Janus said purposely vague so Remus would bite.
"Really and what is this mission come on you know I don't like these mind games" Remus sighed dramatically.
"A certain person is falling behind on their payments and I thought you would have fun extracting the money yourself" Janus smirked with an evil grin.
"No, they did yay" Remus exclaimed jumping up and down "You'll let me yes, yes I've needed a stress relief for days now!"
"I thought you would like that you can do whatever you want…on one condition" Janus said.
Remus stopped jumping and turned to Janus and asked "What is this condition?"
"You must leave them alive and you cannot accept any payment that isn't monetary" Janus said seriously.
"Why would I accept anything else" Remus asked confused.
"Because the person in question has a rather extensive collection of toys like the ones you are obsessed with and I will not let you take those instead of my money" Janus snapped out not liking the glint in Remus's eye.
"What if I just kill the guy after I get my money then I steal his collection" Remus said like he was revealing a grand complex plan.
Janus rubbed his forehead but sighed "Fine but make sure you have the money first and the death cannot be trailed back to you or me and don't make a habit out of this the only reason I am letting you is because this man is a slime ball of a person."
"Got is boss now what is the address" Remus asked making grabby motions with his hands.
"It's 7443 Westminster Rd in Brooklyn understand" Janus said Remus nodded and started to walk out and Janus called after him "Make sure you're in the right house this time!"
