Percy pov
Annabeth was mad at me. I could tell by the way she acted, how she talked to me, even how she walked, so when they got into the arena to train I was scared, even with invisibility Annabeth still terrified me, a lot.
I was shaking and sweaty but pushed my fear down and held my head high when I walked into the arena. No one was watching and I was glad as he probably would get his butt handed to him.
Annabeth was glaring daggers at me as she stretched and warmed up, when they were ready I was even more nervous than before, I definitely shouldn't have had that extra pancake.
We began and Annabeth ran headfirst at me and swung her dagger at his neck, he grabbed her arm and bent down to pick her leg up to flip her over but she pulled his hair really hard causing me to let go of her hand in shock, she then slapped him on the cheek and even though he was invincible his nerves weren't made of steel so it still stung really bad.
Then we started with the weapons. It was a blur but I remember hitting her dagger out of her hand but that didn't seem to stop Annabeth, I bend downward to knock her off her feet but she stepped on my shoulder and pushed me down.
Great now I was on my stomach and my weak point exposed for anyone to hit, wait what if someone does hit it what if I already died and-, my mind snapped out from my thoughts as a searing pain erupted from the small of my back, I gasped for breath and my chest was closing up, I pleaded with Annabeth " p-please stop, Wise Girl please I c-can't b-breathe," she finally let go of my back but kept her knee pressed hard on my neck so I couldn't move then in the most cutting tone "why did you say it," "s-say what?" "about Rachel and Calypso, that you would rather date both them over me," by this time she had let me go and was around a foot away, she was crying and I knew it took a lot to make Annabeth cry. "Annabeth I never-" "save your breath," she said as she sprinted to her cabin.
