a/n: I'm back with another romione fic less than three days later! This is a short one-shot, based off an idea I've had in mind since first reading HBP. It takes place somewhere between Sectumsempra and The Seer Overheard when Ginny and Harry are together and he's still having detention (funny how I managed to write Harry out of these two stories so far both to do with something with Snape) because I've always wondered whether Hermione ever found out Ginny was the one who told Ron she kissed Krum. Anyways, I hope you enjoy, please follow or favorite if you enjoy and make sure to leave a review so I can see what you all think, it means a lot!

"Lockhart!"
"Madam Rosmerta!"
"Krum!"
"Fleur!"
"Cormac Mclagden!"
"Lavender Brown!"
It was a sunny Saturday mid-morning in late May, the weather had been so lovely no one wanted to stay inside and had taken all their work outside. Ron, Hermione, and Ginny were sitting on a smooth patch of grass near the lake, supposedly doing their recently assigned potions assignments but in reality, Ginny was the only one working. Hermione and Ron on the other hand were furiously debating one another past romantic interests, and Ginny was just trying to tune them out while secretly hoping Harry would hurry up in Snape's detention so she could have him to herself all afternoon and not have to hear these two having another marital dispute.
"Lion heartstring… a few abraxan hairs…" Ginny mumbled to herself, scribbling away. "Those don't count I never dated any of them except Lavender!" Ron retorted. "I didn't either!" Hermione snapped back. "Countereffect for the conjunctivitis curse…" Ginny muttered, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "Oh yes, you did you went to Slughorns party with Mclaggen and the Yule Ball with Krum where you snogged him!" Ron argued. Hermione appeared to stop breathing. She gaped at Ron, lost for words.
"H-how do you know about that?" she said in a low voice that was trembling slightly. "Know what? I was right there when you told Parvati you were-" But Hermione cut Ron off before he could finish a confused explanation. "No, no, not that, how do you know I snogged Victor?" Her face had turned rather pink now. "What? Oh, I thought you knew." Ron's brow furrowed. "Knew?" Hermione asked, she felt rather light-headed now.
"That's the whole reason why, you know, I was mad at, er, you," Ron shifted awkwardly. "Wh-what, I thought that was because of the Felix. Wait. Who told you?" she exclaimed. Ginny cracked. "Oi will you two shut it it's impossible to try to remember every tiny detail or the oculus potion with whatever the hells going on, fighting, flirting, practically the same thing!" Ron and Hermione stared at Ginny. But Hermione's face smoothly shifted to a look of horror.
"Ginny! You did it didn't you, you told him! You were the only person I told and unless you told someone else and they told Ron then it was you, wasn't it! Ginny!" Ginny's usual mischievous expression was now one of guilt and she began scooping up her books."You know what I just remembered I've got to go meet Luna, see you later Hermione, R-" She was standing up, trying to escape but Hermione grabbed her arm. "Ginny!" Hermione screeched. "Alright, alright, I did okay but if you'd been there-" Hermione cut in. "I told you that in complete confidence and specifically said not to tell Ron!"
"Why didn't you want me to find out?" snapped Ron, now looking suspiciously at Ginny and Hermione both. Hermione was completely flushed now, stumbling over an explanation. "I just didn't want it to be a huge deal, it was just a kiss, a kiss with someone I haven't seen in almost two years. I just thought it would be less complicated this way." Ron frowned, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes. "So I make big deals out of things and complicate them do I?" he asked skeptically. Ginny attempted to redeem herself. "What Hermione means is she wasn't trying to hide anything, it just worked out like that, it's not like she was keeping it a secret specifically from you per se, she wasn't going around telling Harry or anyone else for that matter."
This statement seemed to console Ron slightly, and Hermione sighed with relief. "Plus," Ginny added as an afterthought, "I thought if the two of you were ever going to finally get together you'd want all the secrets out in the open, in which case I should tell you, Hermione, that Ron snores dreadfully in his sleep." With a roar of laughter, Ginny left the two of them lying there, Ron drilling holes into her back with his eyes and Hermione chortling. They smiled shyly at each other before opening their copies of Advanced Potion Making, light conversation beginning to flow again until they found another relatively petty subject to debate.
