Being part of the order, Remus and Sirius were able to figure out how Dumbledore had set up protection for Harmony and who was watching that day. It did take some effort, but Tonks was willing to share the information despite the orders to keep them out of the loop. They had refused to keep Harmony ignorant. She was the leading player in this fight; she needed all the information she could get. After staying up for an hour after talking to the woman, they knew what they were going to do. That morning they both disillusioned themselves and then apparated across the street.
While waiting for an opening, they checked the wards to make sure there was none they didn't know about. They were good. Waiting until the whale of an uncle left, they entered the house while he left the door open. When they slipped into the house, they saw Petunia coddling a boy around Harmony's age. Both of them see red at this. Their goddaughter was barely more than skin and bones, but this one was pampered and burly.
They quickly went up the steps before either of them ruined their cover. They passed a bedroom, obviously the parents with the queen bed and double dressers. Next, they saw a teen boy's room with games and clothes piled everywhere. It was the bedroom of a spoiled teen boy. The next room sent their rage sky-high along with shivers down their spines. This door had multiple locks and a chain keeping it locked from the outside. There was a little sliding part to peer in and a small dog flap that neither of them wanted to think of its purpose. Sirius moved the sliding portion to look in, hoping that he was wrong.
Sadly he was not for sitting on what he supposes is her bed is his goddaughter. There is a rusty metal pale beside her as she looks out the window. She had on old ratty clothes, and Sirius finally realized that they were boy's clothes. Being not used to muggle clothes, he did not even know it before. The black-haired man notices she is holding her arm gently and that she is careful not to breathe too deep. Also, he realized the state of disrepair everything in the room was. He sighs and looks where he believes Remus is. "We are going to fix this. By the end of the summer, she will no longer be here."
"Dumbledore will pay for this." is the low rough reply. Moony was coming to the surface. He truly cares for the teen girl. The werewolf part of the man had accepted the girl as his own. That could mean ruin for those that harm her.
After a few moments, they were able to get into the room; barely, it was a tight squeeze. "Sirius, Remus is that you." She asks in a whisper as the locks are relocked.
The black-haired man replies. "Yes, grab your wand and the letter, then we are going." She does just that.
"Wait before we go, I want to look at your wand," Remus says as he makes the wolf clam down. They could not help their cub if they lost it.
Remus takes the wand and pushes his magic outward to inspection. He growls. It is worse than he expected. 30%, she was limited to 30% of her magical strength when using the wand. How she was even alive was astounding. There is also a tracking charm placed on the wand. "It will be a minute before we can leave, I have to transfer this tracking charm." Harmony frowns at the disembodied voice says. Why is there a tracking charm on her wand?
After a few moments, the charm had been transferred, Harmony was under her cloak, and they were heading out the door carefully to leave no trace that they were here, even going so far as to leave a fake sick Harmony on her bed.
As soon as they were in the dark alley out of view from the passers-by, Remus and Sirius became visible. "Pup, where are you?" Sirius asks. There is a pull on his right sleeve. "Right, you are going to say like this until we are in a private room in Gringotts, and I will be a dog."
"Alright," She answers simply. Sirius then transforms into his animagus form; then, they head out.
Once in the bank, Remus asks for the private room, and after a few moments later, they are left alone as they waited until another goblin came in. "My name is Kognaff Greenhorn. How may I help you, Mr. Lupin."
"Actually, it is my goddaughter that is needing help today." He smirks at the confused look of the goblin as she removes the cloak revealing the girl that lived.
"Hi," she says with a shy wave. She did not have a pleasant experience with the goblins her first year, and it caused her to look up why, and she knows why now. "May gold flow freely to your vaults." She says, bowing her head and placing her right hand in a fist on her heart.
A small wicked smile plays on the goblin's lips, "and shall yours ever prosper." He replies, making the same gesture back. "Well, this changes things I will need to get your bank manager Miss. Potter." With that, the goblin turns to leave when Remus speaks up
"We need the utmost secrecy that we are here. We will be willing to pay you for the trouble."
"Certainly," Is the only reply they get before he is gone out the door.
Remus then looks at the small teenage girl beside him as she pets Sirius with her uninjured hand, who is still in his dog form. "Where did you learn that?"
"Oh, I had always wondered why the goblins were so rude to me my first year, so last year, when getting my books Fred and George distracted their mother long enough for me to buy a book about how to interact with goblins." She said with a small smile. "It was tough to find. You would think people would not want to upset the keepers of their money."
Remus just stared at her puzzled he never thought about it, but she was right. Wizards and witches were so rude to the goblins; it is no wonder they do not like us. Soon after he thought about it, another goblin came in with Kognaff.
"My name is Adrat Giphook. I am the manager of the Potter account."
Harmony and Adrat do the same greeting. "I assume you are here to talk about the multitude of letters we have sent you." He says, sitting at the table in the center of the room with them. Adrat seems much older than Kognaff and has half-rim glasses on his pointy nose.
"Well, yes and no." The teenage girl lays down the letter. "This is the only letter I have ever received, and I didn't even know I had other vaults than the little bit to pay for my schooling."
The goblins share a glance, "This is troubling indeed. For over the years, there have been many withdrawals made and gold placed in other accounts." He looks down at the papers he has just made appear out of thin air. "Has your magical guardian not explained these things to you?"
The black-haired girl gets a sheepish look. "I didn't even know there was such a thing."
"This is not good." He starts going through the papers."We are going to fix all this and return your gold to you."
At this point, Remus spoke up. "We have a lot of other things we need to be done today as well. First, was to fix the bank accounts. Second, we want to make sure no one but Harmony has access to them from now on. Third, we want to have a test done to see if she has any other accounts we don't know about. Last, all documents in any shape or form pertaining to her need to be brought to light."
The goblin looks slightly overwhelmed by the sheer size of things that they wanted to be done. "I'm sorry about all this. I know it is going to be a monumental task, but we need these things fixed, and I need to stop being left in the dark. No, I refuse to be left in the dark any longer," Harmony says in a firm but sympathetic voice. "Also, if these things can be done as discreetly as possible, we will make sure you are paid accordingly."
They nod at the request. "We can make sure to do that."
"There is just one more thing that I would ask." She pauses to make sure she has their attention. "Who is my magical guardian?"
