The employees of Dunder Mifflin stood outside of the office after the smoke detector went off playing 'who would you do?'
Jim tried to explain the rules which stated that no one could pick members of the staff but no one was following his instructions.
When it was Eden Jackson's, head of marketing, turn she wasn't planning to waste her opportunity to let a certain someone know she was into them. "I'd do Toby," she said confidently.
Eden watched as Toby looked away, his cheeks flushed, as the game continued on.
Eden watched everyone react in surprise at her revelation but she'd been at the Scranton office for the past three months and only one man garnered her interest.
"Were you serious about picking Toby or was that a joke like what we were doing?" Pam asked as the large group started to break off into smaller ones.
Eden looked Pam dead in the eye as she replied, "I was one hundred percent serious. Why do you ask?"
Pam looked down, clearly uncomfortable with the conversation, "Well, you might want to let him know that because he's not used to being an object of desire around here, if you know what I mean," she explained.
Eden nodded, "I get what you're saying. I need to make it crystal clear to Toby that I'm interested in him?" causing Pam to nod as well.
The fire department cleared everyone to return to the office shortly after Pam and Eden's conversation so she shuffled back to their floor along with everyone else.
Once she was back in the office, she made a beeline for Toby's desk. Eden had her own office between Michael's and the conference room but she wanted to meet him on his own turf.
"Hey Toby, could I speak to your for a minute?" Eden asked as she leaned against the wall by his desk.
Toby pushed back his chair and looked at Eden, "Sure, did you have an HR matter to discuss?" he asked, trying to pretend she hadn't announced she wanted to do him in front of everyone in the parking lot.
She couldn't help but let her lips curl into a mischievous grin, "I suppose my reason for visiting you could be considered HR business depending on how things go. I'm assuming you heard what I said during that little 'game' this afternoon?"
He swallowed as he simply nodded, afraid to say anything because he assumed this was some sort of prank.
Eden stepped away, briefly, to pull an empty chair over so she could sit face to face with Toby, "Pam informed me that you might construe what I said as some kind of joke but it was not. I've been looking for a way to tell you how much I like you and I took that silly game as my opening," she watched his face pale at her confession. "You don't have to be scared of me, Toby," she reassured him, "I like you a lot and I'd very much like to have whatever kind of relationship you're comfortable with. What do you think?" she put the ball in his court
Toby swallowed again, worried he didn't have enough saliva to handle this situation. He liked Eden, he had since her first day with the Scranton branch but he never dreamed in a million years she'd be into him.
"Toby," she shook him from his thoughts, "I am game for whatever you want. We can be a casual fling where the focus is purely sexual or we can be an entire relationship. Do you need some more time to think about this?"
He looked into her eyes, "This is incredibly inappropriate since I'm the HR representative for this branch. You get that, right?" he asked, the only thing he was capable of thinking in this situation.
Eden stood from her chair before she leaned forward and placed her lips to his, letting them linger and engaging her tongue just enough before she pulled back. "Think about it," she whispered as she walked away back to her office.
