It was a Monday morning, when I decided to take a walk around the park, near the place I was staying with my mates.

My team's manager said that we shouldn't come out, since it was after Coachella, people will crowd around us in minutes. Me and my mates just agreed because we were dead tired. But I've been feeling kind of stuffed up in the hotel room these last few days, so, after I woke up at an early 6, I thought, 'Hmmm a walk would be nice... Well, why not. Not many people will see me when they aren't up yet, right?' and changed my clothes straight away to a sweatshirt and light-weight leggings, grabbed my phone and headset, then walked to the elevator.

I pushed the down button, and waited until it came. DING. I entered. I didn't see anyone, which was not unusual considering it was still 05.13 am. I pushed the Level-One button, then looked at my phone to choose the songs I wanted to hear.

Since my debut, I regularly listened to the songs me and my mates made. That way, I can always remember the lyrics subconsciously. Of course, I too listened to the songs made by other musicians that I found pleasant to hear.

The elevator opened and I ran straight through the lobby, to the park. It was refreshing, really, after 4 days suffocating at the hotel. Netflix can only get you so far, you know.

The air at the park was extremely refreshing, with the trees that were surrounding the park and the open concept. For a park, it was also quite humongous.

As soon as I was about to run, I can't help but notice that there's nobody else in the park beside for one person. He (or she) was sitting on a bench, wearing a mask and a Yankee hat, with a black zip-up hoodie, precisely under an English oak.

I approached him a little bit more and I can see that the human figure I was looking had a male body-structure. 'It seems like he's not asleep. Looks like he doesn't need help being waken up,' I thought. I was about to continue my morning run when suddenly, he shouted.

"Shiho, w- why?" he cried out.

'Shiho? Is that his girlfriend's name? She must be a Japanese.' I wondered. By the sound of his accent, it seems like he's from the US.

"W-why did you leave me, S-Shiho! What does that Akai guy have better than me, that made you chose to go with him?"

'Ah, Shiho must be his ex-girlfriend,' I concluded. 'But why is he depressing here in public? Isn't he embarrassed? Well, maybe not since no one's here.'

"I even gave you a ring! Well, it was candy ring but DOESN'T IT COUNT?!"

I was about to ignore him and run, until I saw that he suddenly fell down. Oh shite. I guess my morning run can wait. I ran towards him, to see if he's in need of any help. But when I finally reached him and was about to open his mask (to check if he's still breathing, duh), his hand suddenly grabbed mind and prevented me from opening his mask.

"Who are you? What are you doing?" he asked, a frown at his forehead, with a questioning and threatening tone laced in his voice.

I froze, too startled by the sudden move, but just before I was going to reply, he let go of my hand and said with a tone that was very different from the previous one. "Sigh… I'm sorry, you were just trying to help me."

As I saw his frown ceased to exist, changing his expression into that of a tired face. I calmed down and replied, "Ah, yeah, no worries. I was going to ignore you when you started shouting, you know, but then you suddenly collapsed. You good?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, it happens from time to time. Can you please help me get to that bench? Can't feel nor move my legs because of my… condition, and I don't feel like sitting here for half an hour waiting for my legs to better up," he said.

I considered my option, whether to help him or not to, but then again, he seemed truthful about his legs. So, I decided to help him up. 'Whew now that we're standing side-by-side, I just realized he's half a head taller than me.' I thought. He was then seated and started massaging his legs.

"Thanks, miss…?" he asked for my name. I was startled by that question. I know I wasn't supposed to be but, well not to brag, but me and team mates are pretty famous worldwide, especially after Coachella. Even though my face was coverless, he didn't recognize me? Perhaps he thinks I just look similar?

After recovering from my thoughts, I said, "Roseanne Park, but people usually call me Rosé," expecting him to be surprised and yell at me, 'Are you THAT Rosé? From Blackpink?' with an unbelieving voice and shocked face. But turns out he didn't. He just nodded and continue massaging his legs. 'He doesn't know Blackpink? Well this is the first time I met someone who doesn't.'

We sat in silence for a while until I asked, "So, what's the John Dory?" He looked up from his feet and looked at me. Oops, my lovely Aussie upbringing leaked out. Usually it was pretty dormant, and I can use an American accent. Maybe it's because I was startled before. Anyway, he probably didn't understand what I said. I was going to explain what I meant, but to my surprise he replied. "Heh, Aussies are weird," he said to me while chuckling. "Well to answer your question, I was left by my …girlfriend? he said. Was it just me or did he sound confuse at the last part?

"Hey you, Rosie, right? Have you fallen in love with someone in the past? Or do you have a boyfriend? How does it feel? Actually, what is love?" he continued.

It's quite hilarious. He thinks I have a boyfriend, when I haven't even fell in love with anyone my whole life. Well, since I'm not going to tell him I'm an artist, I might as well humor him for a bit. "First things first, call me Rosé, not Rosie. Second, of course I have an awesome boyfriend. He's so handsome, kind, and smart," I said wearing a (fake) dreamy expression. "Third, I think love is very different for each person, depending on what you need from your partner. For me, my boyfriend makes me feel always at ease, and always know what to say at all times. I think that's the biggest reason as to why I'm in love with him," I continued holding my laughter.

"…Hah, forget it, I could tell you were lying, you were practically holding your laugh like you were about to barf," he said facepalming. "But it sounds logical t- "

I interrupted, "Nuh-uh, you know what they say, 'Love and logic don't mix.'"

"Haha yeah, yeah, I know I'm "sorry"," he said chuckling, his fingers did a "quoting" move as he said sorry. Seeing him laughing, I laughed together with him.

Neither of us spoke for a while after that. It was almost 7, and I was about to take my leave, when he said, "Now that I think about it, I think I felt like I was in love with Shiho because she's my only female friend. Does it make sense?"

"What?! You only have a female friend? How can that even happen?" I said thinking it was funny, which is for me. Him? Not so much.

He replied half-angrily, half-embarrassed, "Hey! It's not like it's my fault! I was in a boys-only boarding school since middle school until I got my high school diploma, and afterwards I was busy doing… some stuff. Anyway, I know you were about to have a morning run before you helped me, sorry about that. And from my observation, you are starting to get hungry, aren't you? Uhm, so, to make it up, would you allow me to buy you a meal?" he asked a little nervous at the end.

Well, I do feel hungry and he doesn't seem to know me, so why not?

"Yeah sure, I do feel quite hungry. Where do you want to eat at?" I said. "How about one of my favorites, hmm?" he asked. "I'm not sure if your tongue suites my taste, but let's see," I agreed.

"C'mon then," he stands up and offered his hands to pull me up. I took his hand (only until I stood up) and we start walking out of the park.

"By the way, we haven't properly introduced ourselves. Well, I did, but not you. What's your name?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I forgot." He then bowed, "Well it is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Miss Rosie, my name is Shinichi Kudo."
