Merlin sighed, 'Was Arthur gone now? Was it all actually just a dream and he'd wake up any minute?' he thought sadly. He decided to go on a bike ride which were one of the only things that made him happy these days...

As he rode along, enjoying the sites something suddenly appeared behind him. "What is this contraption Merlin!?" Arthur casually, questioned. It startled poor Merlin so bad that he lost all control of the bicycle and before he knew it was getting thrown head first into the pond. "AAAAAAHHH!!!" Arthur screeched, "MERLIN!" he angrily splashed water in his servant's face. Merlin spluttered, "S-sorry sire." the King huffed and muttered "Dimwitted wizards."

He stood and dragged Merlin back up with him back to shore. Arthur leaned on a tree, "So Merlin that was a warm welcome." he glared. Merlin looked down at his feet, a goofy smile plastered on his face. Arthur half smiled and clapped his friend's shoulder, "Oh Merlin."

They walked or rather- tried to while slipping from their wet and squishy boots. They were on their way to Starbucks, where Merlin had insisted was "the best place on Earth" While they were strolling they passed by the lake of Avalon, where it looked like a hobo was eating a cheese sandwich. Arthur quickly strode over to the man. "Listen here, you blithering bafoon THAT'S MY GRAVE!!" he yelled. "IT'S PRACTICALLY PRIVATE PROPERTY SO I WOULD ASK YOU TO NEVER STEP A FOOT NEAR MY GRAVE AGAIN." Even though Arthur said it with enough fiery anger to scare the scales off a dragon the man was unaffected, almost laughing. This made the King of Camelot even angrier and strode forward once again. But Merlin put a restraing hand on his arm, people were beginning to stare. "Arthur it's no big deal. Why are you surprised he's not scared, a dead man doesn't just walk around," he laughed. Arthur calmed down but glared at the hobo.

They made it to Starbucks, Arthur was awestruck. "What's coffee Merlin? And why are people sitting around staring at those bright screen thingys?" Merlin couldn't help but laugh at that, "It's something called caffeine and it keeps people energized." Arthur nodded "Oh." The pair eventually got their drinks it took awhile because Arthur wouldn't stop trying to touch the cash register. They finished their drinks quick enough then Merlin went to the restroom. He came back in less than five minutes but when he returned Arthur was gone again.

Merlin settled back onto his couch when he heard a sound. He hadn't even turned his head before Arthur had him on the floor with a hand to his throat. Arthur didn't look like himself his eyes were wild and he was breathing heavily. "You must go back to the lake of Avalon!" he demanded, in a voice that seemed to shake the earth. Merlin wrapped his hands around Arthur's "W-why?" Arthur seemed to lose it even more then "You left me Merlin! You betrayed me!" Merlin's eyes went wide with shock "What!!? But you're right here!"

"Help me Merlin! You've got to help me!" then he disappeared.
