At first they thought the pain that little Izuku felt inside his mouth was just him finally losing his baby teeth. After all most children this age start to lose them to get proper canines.

When the 4 year old boy awoke in his bed to a slightly bloody pillow and two of his baby teeth somewhere on the bed he thought he was just growing up a little.

But when the pain in his upper mouth kept going for the whole day it was probably something bigger than it first appeared to be.

When he arrived home from school he came in contact with his mother who hugged him tightly. "How was your day at school?"

He looked up back at her she could clearly tell that he was in some sort of pain.

"Aw Izuku is your mouth still hurting from this morning?"

He shook his head up and down furiously like a little kid would.

"Does it hurt so bad that you can't talk?" His mother asked worryingly.

"Y-yes mommy it h-hurts to try and talk."

She brought him closer and hugged him tightly. "I'll go fetch the pain medicine and you can relax for tonight okay?" She kissed his forehead and walked to the bathroom cabinet while Izuku walked to his room and climbed into his bed.

That night Inko Midoriya woke up to her son loudly crying from his room. When she turned to her side she saw that it was one in the morning.

She quickly ran pit of her room and almost knocked the door down to her son's room to see what was happening.

When she turned on his room light and saw the state of her little boy she froze in complete horror.

He was on his knees on the floor looking at his hands that were covered in blood.

"Izuku your bleeding! What's wrong?!"

As if she wasn't scared of what was happening since she arrived a few seconds ago she definitely was now.

As Izuku looked up from his hands to face her his eyes were red and the two teeth that he lost the day before were now back but

they were longer and sharper.

"Izuku y-your-"

"Mom, I t-think I have a quirk..."

"So it seems your son has developed his quirk. A rather unique one at that!" The doctor said happily. "Izuku open your mouth again please."

"Ahh"

"Your mouth seems completely fine but the teeth you said you lost the other day are back but completely different from the rest of them in your mouth."

Inko nervously bumped her index fingers together at what the doctor was saying.

"What kind of quirk can it be? Me and his father don't have anything like that."

"While most children develop a quirk similar to their parents or mix of the two a very small percentage can still develop a completely different one entirely." The doc rubbed his chin as he eyed the little boy again. "You said his eyes were red when you first found him yes?"

"Yes, when I walked into his room his eyes were a bright red. Even now the green in his eyes now seem darker than they were a few hours ago."

"I see, I see, well I have a theory of what kind of quirk that your son might have but I'll have to leave the room for a second if you don't mind."

"It's fine, I just want to know what he has and if I should be worried."

The quirk doctor nodded his head and walked out of the room.

"Mom?"

"Yes baby?"

"Do y-you think my quirk might be something bad?"

She walked over to him and hugged him tightly again. "No, quirks aren't inherently bad, you are what you make your quirk Izuku. I will always support you."

Her son squeezed her harder in response to her words.

The two of the snapped their heads up at the doctor walking back into the room with a small white cup in his hand and a small spoon in the other. "Alright Mrs. Midoriya I have a theory to test out right her if you don't mind."

"Not at all, please continue on."

The doctor nodded and turned his head to the little boy. "Izuku, without looking inside, what do you smell in this cup?" He held the small white cup towards his nose.

"It smells, um, it smells really good?"

A small bead of sweat appeared on the old man's forehead. He took the small spoon and scooped a small dose of the dark red liquid inside the cup. "Now how does it taste?"

After tasting the red liquid the boy smiled as he rubbed his cheeks. "It's really good! What is it? Can I have some more?"

"Just wait a second."

"Okay!" The little boy said brightly.

As the doctor sat back up he faced his mother with a serious look on his face. "It seems my theory of what your son's quirk could possibly be is true so far."

"What do you mean? What was your theory?"

"Your son is having the similar signs of that of a vampire or quirk like vampirism."

Inko swore she had a heart palpitation for a second. "A q-quirk like a vampire?" She asked fearfully.

"Yes, at first I thought the teeth may have been a small and minor quirk for eating food easier or chewing through things, but as you kept going about red eyes and blood I had to test out something." He held the small cup to her. "This small cup has a small amount of human blood in it, - O to be precise for your son."

"Are you saying my son is a v-vampire?"

"As of right now he has clear signs of having a quirk similar to vampirism like I said. But if he turns into a full blown one like people see rarely or in those old pre-quirk movies is to be seen. I suggest to keep watch on him and bring him back for frequent check ups to see his development."

"O-okay, I-I'll keep watching him to make sure nothing bad happens."

"Mrs. Midoriya, there is nothing to be afraid of, like I said as of right now it's just similar signs. Your son is not going to turn into some wild monster. He just needs to stay healthy and have a source of blood to drink it seems."

"If he needs blood for food where will I be able to get it?"

"Don't fret, we specialize in quirks here, we can get the office familiar with the situation and we can have the government set you to have a small box full of bags of blood to keep your son fed."

"Thank you." She bowed her head to him.

"Thank you for this."
