ACT ONE, CHAPTER THREE
Eight months, four days, and twenty one hours. That is the amount of time needed to produce his level 100 Semiramis.
Tyrean is not sure why does it take that long. He could only wait until he could conduct experiment. But with the amount of time it requires to make a servant like her, he might not have such luxury.
{This is a little bit worrying.}
Assuming that the length of creation is proportionate to the servant's strength, then he'll have a much harder time creating servants based on those overpowered fictional characters.
He grimaced at the thought of those servants taking more than year to produce. Even if he is five decades ahead of Nazarick, he'll only less than fifty powerful servants.
{I hope that isn't the case.}
Having extremely powerful servants are well and good. But, he still need to observe number advantage. They would definitely fall against swarming tactics.
As he was watching the [Infinite Source of Fortune and Greed] goes to work, he remembered that to build the flying fortress would require specific materials.
From what he can remember, it needs a lot of materials. The likes of soil, stone, minerals, wood, plants, and water, must be gathered from the land she once lived, which is in ruins near the vicinity of Baghdad, Iraq.
He has no means to gather those components, especially now that he is no way near Earth. This meant that he has to make use the construct to produce those materials.
And since his [Infinite Source of Fortune and Greed] cannot produce multiple different product, he has to choose to either produce the material first or the NPCs.
Obviously, he'll choose the latter. Creating new servants, at the moment, is not his primary priority.
It's sad but that's fair. He could live with that. After all, his flying fortress is more important than having a whole new set of servants.
Now that Tyrean has made a progress, he needs to think about his next step.
{Ah! I should probably update the Guardians.} Tyrean was about to command his Hanzos but decided not to.
{No. Not yet. It would be a waste of time if I'll call for a meeting just to tell that. I should at least present them a good game plan.}
[x]
"I am glad you could all make it here at a time like this. Hiron." Tyrean begins to address his kneeling Guardians.
"Syempre naman Panginoon! Kami na iyong mga Tagapagtanggol ay buhay at nabubuhay para magserbisyo sa iyong ngalan. Kagustuhan naming italaga ang bawat minuto, bawat segundo ng aming buhay nagseserbisyo sa inyong ngalan. (Of course, Tyrean-sama! We, your Guardians exist to serve you. We want to devote every minute, every second of our life to you.)"
Tyrean was left speechless when he heard Hiron's passionate declaration. So, he simply nodded at Hiron and move on.
"Tasha."
"Of courssse, Tyrean-sssama. We ssshall alwaysss come and anssswer your call."
"Makolaj."
"Yez, Tyrean-zama. Ve exist to serv' you. Ve regard zervice to yo', Tyrean-zama, az an 'onor avove all od'erz."
"Altos."
"IT… IS… NATURAL… FOR… US… YOUR… GUARDIANS… TO… COME… AND… ANSWER… YOUR… SUMMON… FAST… AS… WE… COULD… TYREAN… SAMA."
Hearing his Guardians' response, Tyrean wanted to sigh badly. A day hasn't passed yet he's already exhausted dealing with this level of flattery. He needed to get used to it as quickly as possible or else he'll suffocate from the stuffiness.
Surveying all his Guardians faithfully kneeling, he began the briefing.
"I have something to discuss with you all."
He paused and looked at their faces. Wanting to see what kind of reaction they will make. Sadly, his Guardians seemed have mastered the art of poker face.
"Then, may I inquire asss the topic of thisss dissscusssion? If it isss a task we unworthy onesss are able to asssissst with you Tyrean-sssama?"
"As a matter of fact, yes I do have a task for you, but we will get to later it. For now, let us discuss something else. Tasha, have you shared the information we gained from Malyk?"
"Yesss, Tyrean-sssama. I have accomplished the task you have given to me."
"Good. Guardians any thoughts? I'll allow you to speak what's in your mind."
Hiron was first to give it a go.
"Go ahead, Hiron. Feel free to speak what's in your mind."
"Maraming salamat, Panginoon. Ipagpaumanhin ninyo kung mayroon akong masasabing hindi kanais nais. Sa aking palagay, kailangan natin kumpirmahin ang pagkatotoo ng mga impormasyon na nakuha natin kay Malyk. May posibilidad na ang nakuha nating inpormasyon Malyk ay mali at hindi sapat. (Thank you Tyrean-sama. Please forgive my rudeness. I believe that we need to check the validity of the information we gained from Malyk. There might be a chance that the information we gained might be incorrect.)"
{Eh!? I never thought of that!}
Tyrean realized that Hiron had a point. He never entertained the idea the possibility of Malyk's knowledge could be flawed.
If his research professor was here, he would have smack his head upside down.
{A study with a single sample would always yield a skewed result.} Words his professor lives by.
"That is an astute observation, Hiron. Well done!"
"Maraming salamat, Panginoon! (Thank you, Tyrean-sama!)"
The man was visibly and literally beaming with radiant light when he was praised. Tyrean, although unaffected by the brightness, suppressed the urged to squint and look away.
"I agree with you Hiron. It is true that a single source of information won't do us good. We need to gain access to different source to check its validity. Sadly, we lack a lot of things to accomplish this goal."
"Tyrean-sssama, if I may?"
"Hm?! What is it Tasha?"
"Would you allow thisss unworthy ssservant of yoursss to lead sssuch tasssk?"
Tyrean was going to designate Tasha this task anyway. After all, no Guardian of his is better suited to this task than Tasha. It is only he, who has the ability to dive into someone's mind and take all the information he needed.
"I was actually planning to delegate this task to you. Unfortunately, your operation will be put on hold. Though, are you willing to wait?"
"Yesss, Tyrean-sssama. Thisss faithful ssservant ssshall wait for hisss time to ssshow hisss worth."
"None of that. The moment you pledged yourselves to me, you, no, all of you, have shown your worth. Never forget that."
Feeling that his Guardians were about to unleash a flurry of gratitude and praises, he immediately steered the discussion back to the topic on hand.
"Now, who else is willing to share their thought?"
"TYREAN… SAMA?"
"Go ahead, Altos."
"TYREAN… SAMA… I… WOULD… PREFER… THAT… WE… PRIORITIZE… YOUR… SAFETY… FIRST… WHICH… IS… WHY… I… PROPOSE… THAT… WE… SHOULD… SETUP… A… MORE… PERMANENT… BASE… OF… OPERATION… FIRST."
"A good point, Altos. As a matter of fact, I am at the process of securing us one. Well to be specific, I am at the process of making a servant that could build a flying fortress. In fact, it's easier to show it to you. Do not resist my spell. [Mass Teleportation]!"
[x]
The five of them appeared in the basement.
The moment his feet touched the ground, Tyrean quickly approached the humming construct.
"Guardians, in front of you is the World Class Item called [Infinite Source of Fortune and Greed]. In the simplest explanation, this magic item has the ability to produce, well, almost anything really." He says gesturing his World Class Item, like a salesman would when he is showcasing his product.
Tyrean pats the construct, the way one would do to their beloved pet. He then address his Guardians without looking at them.
"And as you can see, this construct is on the process of making the servant that I have mention. The said servant will have the ability to build to secure as a flying fortress as our primary base of operation. Now, do you have questions?"
When Tyrean turned to his Guardians, he nearly jumped out of his skin.
Awe. Pure unadulterated awe were plastered in his Guardians' faces. He could see their eyes twinkling in amazement.
To his Guardians' eyes, Tyrean made the impossible possible. Like Moses parting the red sea.
To Tyrean however, it felt like he convinced a bunch of kids that magic is real through a cheap magician's trick.
{It's not me! It was the World Class Item that is impressive!}
The gut feeling of his came back.
It was warning him that his Guardians were about would to unleash a flurry of praises.
Ensuring that he won't have to go through another around of praises, he quickly steered the conversation.
"Cough! Since you have no questions, let's head back to the office. Hiron, will you do the honor?"
Hiron nodded and proceeded to cast his [Mass Teleportation] spell.
[x]
Upon arrival, Tyrean returned to his seat.
Once seated, he turns his attention back to his Guardians.
"The bad news is, will take eight months and four day until she'll be up and gouging. Until further noticed, we have to stay hidden."
"Milord, if I may?"
Tyrean nodded at Mikolaj, giving him signal to continue speaking.
"Tyrean-zama, forgive diz foolizh zervantz of yourz fo' our lack of intelligencez to realize yo'r grand plan. May ve ve allowed to hav' a glimze? "
"I would be happy to! Though, that leads me to my next agenda. Mikolaj, among the Guardians, you're the only one with the necessary skill set for this next mission."
"Pleaze command me Tyrean-zama!"
"Very well. Mikolaj, I designate you as the captain of this mission. Your task force members are: two groups of [Eight Edge Assassins], six Hanzos, two Fuumas, two Tobi Katos, and two Kashin Kojis. During this mission, I give you my permission to use your World Class Item, as a last resort. Other than that, you are not to make use of it. This mission also requires absolute secrecy. Under no circumstances should you let you or your vassals be discovered. If you were, dispose of the witness. Provided that, the bodies must never be found, and your actions must never be traced back to us. Your main objective is to infiltrate a settlement, steal a map and find a reliable source of information. Once you do, capture them and bring them back preferably alive. As for the map, the more detailed it is, the better. Once you have accomplished both objectives, return as soon as possible. Your task force is also given the permission to torture if needed. And if you encounter a creature far more powerful than you can't handle, you are to flee alone. You are to leave your vassals behind to buy you more time to escape. And as soon as possible, send me or any of the Guardians a message via the message scroll. Do you accept this mission?"
"Yez, Tyrean-zama! I aczept it vith all my 'eart!"
"Good. Ten hours from now, you and your team shall depart."
The reason Tyrean needed a map is to find the most suitable location to build their flying fortress.
In the fate wiki, it is said that the flying fortress is able to house a thousand citizen as its maximum capacity. So that basically means, it is a gigantic construct.
Building something of that magnitude might not go unnoticed and might even attract unwanted attention. Which is why they need to find and secure the best location possible.
At one point, Tyrean did considered building the flying fortress at the supposed location where Nazarick will make an appearance. He even thought to station their fortress there until further notice. After all, that grassland has little to no intelligent creature living there.
{I mean, Ainz easily hid Nazarick by covering its wall with dirt and creating dummy hills in the area.}
It was tempting idea, but in the end he didn't want to do that.
He asked himself this question:
{What is the point of having a freaking flying mobile fortress, if it is not flying nor moving?}
Though, that decision of his brought a new set of problem.
Problems like:
Where will they build the flying fortress?
And;
How can they fly such monstrosity while staying incognito?
He doesn't want to reveal himself or his forces until he has a good grasp of the world around him.
The answers he came up with were…
He wants to find and secure a location near the sea. When fortress is completed, they will fly it towards the sea. Using a potent illusion, he'll hide the fortress from everyone's perception.
Once they are sufficiently far from the mainland, he'll drop the illusion. And from there, their fortress will be roaming around the mainland in a random pattern to reduce the chances of them being ambushed.
Also, flying above the sea is better than flying above ground. This is because international voyage is not yet a thing in the New World.
This method greatly reduce the chances of their flying fortress being sighted. And even if someone did caught sight of their flying fortress, people would deem it as a drunken sailor's tale or some made up story.
Although, his eidetic memory could help him create a New World map, he wanted to confirm whether this world is really the same as that world.
"Onto the next agenda."
Tyrean took out three [Ring of Sustenance] from his inventory and placed them on top of his desk.
He's unsure if both his mercenaries summoned through the Mercenary Contract and Guardians would require an upkeep cost. But as far as he knows, they should.
Unless, their biology doesn't allow it. Like, Altos, who is a golem.
Also, he is very embarrassed to ask his Guardians if they need to eat, drink, and rest. The thought of asking them that question sounds insensitive. That is why, he'll just giving them magic item to negate those needs, if they have them.
Tyrean stopped thinking for a moment. He realized something bad about himself.
{Oh my goodness! Am I becoming black-hearted as those individuals Hero-Hero has been constantly complaining about?}
He mentally denied it.
{No. Those people are doing it for the profit. While I, on the other hand, am doing it for my safety.}
Digesting his justification, he mentally grimaced. His justification just confirmed that he's really a black-hearted boss.
{F**k! I am really a black-hearted boss!}
{Well at least I am aware that I am a black-hearted boss. That should at least makes me a little less bad. Right…} He tried to ease his guilty conscience.
Tyrean thought about what he had said. He then asked himself:
{Or does it make me worse?}
{…} His mind somehow refused to answer his question.
{F**K!}
No longer bothering if he's a black-hearted boss or not, he goes on.
"Until out base is fully functional, I am going to need all of you to be on high alert at all times. That being said, you must wear those rings to negate fatigue, hunger, thirst and other bodily penalties." Says Tyrean as he pushes the rings closer to his Guardians.
His Guardians gasped and protested.
"Milord, ve vould not dare! Ve received zo much from you! Ve couldn't pozzibly accept mor'!"
Before the rest of his Guardians could pitch in, Tyrean raises his hand stopping them.
"I am only lending those items to you for a while. So, take it and use it to serve me well." says Tyrean, trying to pacify his protesting Guardians.
Slightly pacified and reluctant, his Guardians no longer complained and accepted their master's kindness and generosity.
"Panginoon, pagpasyensyahan ninyo ang mga hindi karapatdapat na tagapaglikod ninyo, naway bigyan ninyo kai ng karapatang gamitin and biyayang ipinagkaloob ninyo sa amin. (Tyrean-sama please forgive your unworthy servants. Please grant us your blessing to use this items that you so graciously lend us.)"
Tyrean nodded at Hiron.
Seeing his Master's blessing, Hiron stepped forward and receives the rings in behalf of his fellow Guardians. After bowing once more to his Master, he distributed the rings between him, Mikolaj and Tasha.
Tyrean, who was watching the scenario, thought that his Guardians were too resistant when it comes to accepting gifts.
He actually has a lot of items that are sitting in his inventory. Rather than letting those collect metaphorical dust, he would prefer if they were used to their maximum potential.
He was actually planning to give them ultra-rare gatcha familiars. But seeing their reaction he won't do it. Well, at least not now.
He'll give them as a form of reward instead of just handing it as a gift.
{…}
He thought about it and came up with a new approach.
Hard working people are very resistant and even outright dislike accepting gifts. They do like the idea of earning the right to have something as a form of reward to their hard work.
Shalltear and the rest of Nazarick denizen are even less reluctant to deny the rewards given to them. Although, he knew that was Ainz's way of compensating their hard work.
Mentally nodding at that good idea of his, he reminded himself:
{Next time, I'll do just that.}
"Now then, onto the next agenda."
[x]
In the most luxurious room in the Green Secret house has an equally luxurious office.
The said office was filled with tasteful and exotic furniture. Every single piece is a being of exquisite design and decoration. A sign that signifies the owner's abundant wealth.
All of those however is outshined by a very imposing dark mahogany desk set on the center of the office. Its owner sat behind it, upon an equally imposing shiny black leather ergonomic chair.
The man is no other hand, Tyrean T. Photel.
"Now… who else would I add?" He absentmindedly said aloud as he was scrutinizing his work.
Hours after briefing his Guardians, Tyrean stayed behind began to departmentalize the servants he'll be summoning.
Since, knowledge is power. He decided to start working on a group he labelled as Listeners.
It's basically a group that will be assigned to conduct high-risk infiltration, intelligence gathering, setting up counter-intelligence, tracking, surveillance, and if possible interrogating targeted individuals.
Like Semiramis, Tasha's team members were based from the stealthiest badass fictional characters he had the chance to read about.
{Thank god those wikis exist.}
He's very thankful that various fiction wikis exist. Without those sites and its contributors, he wouldn't have templates to make use of.
"Also, I'm very thankful that no one can sue me here." He mumbled staring at the candidates he had listened. After all, it's never legal to copy somebody's artistic work.
{Well… one of the philosophical perspective of art is imitation. Also, in Adam Ruins Everything, Adam said that copying the masters is a valuable skill. I supposed that should justify what I'm doing.} He reasons, trying to ease his guilt.
The second group was Aegis.
Aegis, as their name suggest, their primary task is to protect the flying fortress and its perimeter from any hostile entities as well as from possible threats. Their secondary task is to reinforce the fortress defence by adding; scrying ban, teleportation ban, etcetera.
Tyrean is not sure whether the Hanging Garden of Babylon has any form of bans.
But without scrying ban, enemies could easily map out their fortress. Making it easier for them to avoid traps and ambushes. And when they have a clear picture of their base, enemies could utilize [Mass Teleportation] to storm their base with the latter. Hence, bans must be added to the fortress, if it doesn't have any. And if it does, they will strengthen it.
Sadly, enchantment or charm is somewhat an obscure form of magic. The list of fictional characters that have the title of Master Enchanter is quite short. Additionally, he does not know which form of enchantment will the fortress would require. So in the end, he'll put it on hold.
He'll have wait for Semiramis before he could make a decision.
The next group was Titans.
A group whose primary task is to bring down enemies thru a direct, full-force, frontal attack. However, to Tyrean, they are meant to be a deterrence than anything else. But if push comes to shove, they will bring down the hammer harder than a minor apocalypse.
Tyrean has to admit, listing candidates for this group was the easiest. After all, the main criteria for this task force is, they have to be god or godlike in terms of overall power.
Fictional stories never lack those. In fact, he could safely say that in each fictional story nowadays will have a minimum of one over the top character.
As he was reviewing this list, Tyrean added an addendum with the candidates list to make sure he doesn't forget.
The Titans should neither be too brash, too arrogant, nor a hot-headed. For he is certain that those traits would get them killed.
After all, it's a common cliché that those OP characters display either one or all of those traits. Which almost always lead to their demise.
{I have to make sure to remove those traits when I'm making them.} He reminded himself.
It was a good thing that his World Class Item can allow him to add and subtract details about the servant he'll be making.
Next are Sweepers.
This group's primary task is to 'neutralize', covertly as possible, anyone deemed necessary. Neutralization could either mean killing or capturing. The former being would be the most common route.
If it's the killing route, the target's death should either look natural death or caused by unfortunate accident. They are to ensure that resurrecting the target will not be possible. If not assassination possible, frontal action must never be traced back to them.
And if capturing route, no witness must be left behind. They are to stage the target's disappearance as natural as possible.
Just like Titans, he has a wide array of fictional characters to to choose from. Heck, the Fate-universe provides him more than forty to choose from. Some of them are even overachiever for this category.
Not to mention the Naruto-verse. It is freaking universe filled with ninjas. Thought, Naruto-verse's ninjas were flashier than Fate-universe's assassins.
Next are Seneschal.
Their primary task is management of affairs. It's a group whose sole purpose is to help him manage his people, his resources, planning, strategizing, and most importantly, help him in decision-making.
Tyrean admits that he lacks both leadership skills and administrative skills to properly manage his forces effectively and efficiently. Which is why, creating this group is a must.
He'll be needing all the help he could get.
He was even considering to create one after Semiramis.
At one point, he even thought of making a copy of Albedo and Demiurge. For they are, two of the three smartest NPC in Nazarick.
Tyrean scrapped that idea though.
If choose to do that, he'd be limiting his options. There are a lot of extremely intelligent characters scattered throughout fictional stories. All he needs to do is pick one.
The bad thing about having a large pool of option is, it left him unable to decide which one to make.
There is also the need to decide how many administrators he'll need, what are the scope of their responsibilities, or will he be adopting government departmentalization, and a lot more.
Frustrated, Tyrean left it alone for now. When is no longer feeling murderous, he'll go back at it.
The second to the last group was the Cartel.
Their primary task, to control the New World's economy.
When Ainz and his beloved Nazarick came into the New World, one of their main concern was YGGDRASIL gold depletion as well as New World currency acquisition.
For Nazarick's maintenance, booby traps, environmental effects, and most of their facilities (e.i. food for the canteen, or alcohols for the bar) needs YGGDRASIL gold to function. They also have operations outside Nazarick that require New World money.
And because there is no dungeon to farm gold, Ainz has to run around ragged, to gather as much money as he could. It even went to the point of Ainz always taking high level quest at the Adventurer's Guild just to fund his precious Nazarick and their projects.
{Poor Ainz.}
The point is, money is essential.
Although he has lots to spare, and has a World Class Item can infinitely supply him YGGDRASIL gold coins, establishing another means to gain money is never a bad thing. Plus, one of his job class passive increases his profit by a substantial amount. Not to mention, gaining complete control over the world's economy is power that he and his force could greatly benefit from.
As to what will they focus on, well, it's not yet certain. They'll decided on it later. Preferably after consulting his Seneschal.
The last group is R&D.
Tyrean envisioned R&D and Cartel working hand in hand. The former will focus on improving current products and/or services, and/or developing new ones. While the latter promotes those innovations.
Another reason he wanted to establish this team is to satisfy his curiosity about certain things.
Like: Martial Arts and Wild Magic.
Tyrean has always been wondering how strong Martial Arts and Wild Magic could become. And what can it do at its highest form? And more importantly, how will it compare to YGGDRASIL's standard at its peak? Will mastering those be worth it in the end?
Even though the answers to those questions would be intriguing, Tyrean neither have the patience nor smarts to conduct such technical and tedious experimentation. Thus, he needs people to do this for him.
But unlike the previous teams, this one has close to no members. That is because this team must be made mainly by people from the New World.
Players or NPCs that came from YGGDRASIL are bound by their programming. This means, they will always have restrictions.
For instances, the Death Knight Ainz made cannot learn Martial Arts, while Hamsuke was able to. He could safely theorized that Martial Arts is an exclusive skill that only residents of the New World can learn.
He can also assume that the Death Knight wasn't able to learn Martial Arts because its programming didn't left enough space to accommodate new and complex set of program.
Another example is, a chef from YGGDRASIL cannot cook a dish that is not within their program. This has been proven by Ainz, when he asked a chef from Nazarick's canteen to cook a dish outside their field of expertise and it always ends up with something inedible.
So, to satisfy his curiosity about Martial Arts and Wild Magic, he'll be needing Martial Artist and Wild Magic Casters. Preferably, those that are considered geniuses of their particular field.
"Moving on…"
He sent the list into his inventory and proceeded to do his next task. And that is, preparing magic scrolls for Mikolaj.
Tyrean began to pull out a spell scroll and place it on his desk.
He retrieve one, and placed it on his desk.
He retrieve one, and placed it on his desk.
He retrieve one, and placed it on his desk.
He retrieve one, and placed it on his desk—
He repeated this action more than a dozen of times. He continued doing so, until his desk was completely hidden by the large stack of spell scrolls.
Seeing the huge stack of spell scrolls, Tyrean still feels that it might not be enough. And so, he takes out more and add it to the growing pile.
Tyrean stopped when he had added two more dozen was to the pile. He then considered if it was enough.
{Let's see. What else? If I were to go out there to perform a mission, what should I bring?}
Snap.
Tyrean snapped his fingers when he had an idea. He added two more spell scrolls to the pile before deciding that those are enough.
Tyrean then took out a [Bag of Holding] and stuff all the magic scrolls into it. He then adds other magical items that Mikolaj might need. Like: a cash item that prevents spying, another cash item that allowed resurrection that hardly has a cost, a cash item that will enable its user to escape at any moment, Divine-Tier Healing Potions, Divine-Tier Mana Potions, type two consumables and a lot more.
When he finally finished, Tyrean leans back and sigh loudly.
Looking at the ceiling, he mentally asks himself.
{What now?}
It's all well and good that he has a plan. But what should he be doing during his down time?
{Goodness, I just became an immortal being and here I am starting to think it's too boring.}
This line of thinking goes back to his shape shifting skill.
A while ago it wasn't a priority of his, now that he has time to see what it can do.
Tyrean raised his left to eye level and willed his left hand to shape shift.
His finger begin to lengthen, once it reached about 12 inches, it stopped growing.
{The transformation doesn't hurt nor its uncomfortable.} Tyrean thought as he inspected his changed hand.
He began flexing his fingers.
{Transformed limb doesn't feel foreign.} He concluded.
Intrigued, he willed it to return to normal.
{Reverting to base form takes the same time as transformation.}
He let his nails grew longer and sharper, akin to a straight dagger.
He then repeated the same test as before. Checking whether the transformed limb feels foreign, as well as the limb's flexibility.
{Onto the next stage.}
This time, instead to allowing it to revert back to its base form, he willed his hand to change into a webbed hand.
{Oh! So that's possible. I wonder if I could do it again.} He thought.
This time, he willed it shape shift faster into a scally hand.
{So I can control the speed, huh? That's neat.} Tyrean thought as he performed customary examination.
Fast shape shifting is much more very beneficial than simple shape shifting.
Shape shifting a limb or two during a fight, would definitely surprise his opponent.
Tyrean then moved on to something more complicated.
His hand began changing into something more inhuman, something terrifying, and something downright monstrous.
As Tyrean was enjoying shape shifting his hand, the Hanzos are not.
Since skills and spells in the New World can affect allies, the Hanzos were shaking due to Tyrean's Aura.
Unbeknownst to Tyrean, he unconsciously upped his passive Aura of Divine Abhorrent Being I to level II.
Aura of Divine Abhorrent Being level II, is akin to a field spell. Everything within its field of influence will gain an irresistible debuff called [Primordial Terror]. And if it's not properly dealt before it expires or escape its field of influence, it will evolve into either madness, insanity, or death.
The Hanzos, being mercenary NPCs, don't have enough resistance against a powerful debuff like this. They would certainly die without a doubt.
It is not that they fear death.
What they fear the most is, dying without showing their worth to their Master. Especially now, they're given their own name.
Thankfully, Tyrean stopped unleashing his aura, when he heard someone knocking at his door.
"Red, go see who is at the door."
"Understood, Tyrean-sama."
Tyrean had designated names for the Hanzos hidden in his shadows. And to help himself identify which Hanzo is which, he each gave them a colored cloth. The same color as their names.
Red opened the door enough for him to verify the identity of the person behind the door
Red silently converse with the person behind the door.
Once Red finish conversing with the person behind the door, it turns to his Master.
"Tyrean-sama its Mikolaj-sama. He is seeking an audience."
"Mikolaj? Let him in."
After receiving Tyrean's permission, Mikolaj entered the office.
"Greetings, Tyrean-sama. I apologize for interrupting you during your work."
Tyrean shakes his head no.
"It's alright. A little distraction is good every now and then. So, tell me Mikolaj, why have you come to my office today?"
"Your kindnezz truly knowz no vounds, Tyrean-zama. Ve are truly blezzed to zerve under your banner. I am to inform you that I zhall vegin the tazk set to me. Zince, I may not ve avle to return from zome time, I came to bid farewell to you vefore I left."
"I see. It's a good thing that you came here before you depart."
Tyrean takes the [Bag of Holding] he had prepared and hands it to Red. He then gave Red the signal to pass it Mikolaj.
Understanding his Master's intention, Red nods and presents the item to Mikolaj.
"Mikolaj, take the item. Inside the bag you'll find a dozen of Healing Scrolls, thirty Message Scrolls, five Mass Invisibility Scrolls, ten Teleportation Scrolls, two Greater Teleportation Scrolls, two Mass Teleportation Scrolls, two Perfect Unknowable Scrolls, twelve Scrolls of Greater Counter Detect, twelve Scrolls of Greater Trap Detection, twelve Scrolls of Greater Non-detection, twelve Scrolls of Greater Detection, five Scrolls of Greater Sanctum, four Scrolls of False Date: Life, four Scrolls of False Date: Mana, twelve Scrolls of Fake Location, twelve Scrolls of Tracking, four Mass Fly Scrolls, twelve Scrolls of Anti-Tracking, .…... a dozen of [Mercenary Contract: Shadow Demon] and 300 gold coins for their summoning cost. Do not be stingy on using these. I might sound like a broken record at this point but, I don't intent to lose you or that item I gave you."
Understanding that his Master will spare no expense to protect them, Mikolaj swallowed all his protest and just accepts his Master's kindness and generosity.
"By your will, Tyrean-zama. Rezt azure, I zhall return zucezzful."
"That's the spirit! Then, I shall be waiting for your successful return. Then, Mikolaj, always take care when accomplishing your task and return to me safety."
"YEZ!" Mikolaj voice was brimming with unsaid determination and love.
"You may leave, Mikolaj."
{May the odds be in your favor.} Tyrean thought as he watched Mikolaj depart.

Mikolaj surveyed the surrounding. He and his vassals had just left the forest vicinity. Seeing nothing noteworthy, he casted a spell.
"[Perfect Unknowable], [Fly]."
As soon as the spells were uttered, he immediately became transparent as he was rising from the ground. As he rose into the air, the forest grew smaller and smaller.
Once Mikolaj felt that he was sufficiently high enough, he began scouting the area.
From his north and south are mountainous region. He could safely assume that choosing either from direction would lead him to a fruitless hunt.
Removing those two from his option, Mikolaj inspected his east and west.
The said directions are both flatlands, an ideal place to inhabit and establish a settlement.
Choosing either one gives him 50% chance to get it right. However, he doesn't want to waste time, resources, nor their Master's patience. So without further ado, he cast a spell to aid him.
"[Farsight]."
From his east, he saw a dirt roads and cultivated lands. From the horizon, he could see dots of colors. Even with his enhanced vision, couldn't see clearly what those were.
He could assume that those might be buildings.
The chances of finding a highly detailed map would be higher in the more populated area.
Looking at his west, there are noticeably fewer roads and trails. He could assume these leads to smaller settlements.
After making his decision, Mikolaj quickly descended, all the while cancelling both of his spell.
Like a cat, Mikolaj descended gracefully and silently.
"Ve'll head that way!" He points the direction of his choosing.
Not wasting a moment, Mikolaj took out two spell scrolls from his inventory.
"Gather around, do not rezist the zpell, [Mass Invisibility], [Mass Fly]!" Says Mikolaj, before quickly activating two spell scrolls.
Once the scrolls were burnt, the group quickly became invisible while starting to float.
Not wasting any moment, Mikolaj steered the group towards their destination.
[x]
Moments later.
Mikolaj observed the increasing number of the dirt roads and wheel tracks. He could tell that they'll be reaching the closest settlement soon.
Wasting no time, he casted a more superior vision enhancing skill. With it, he was able to see further than before.
{Zo, it waz a ztone wall.} He thought, confirming what he was unable to see clearly before.
He could safely assume that it's a defensive measure of the settlement.
Using another magical item provided by his benevolent Master, saw that the wall was not fortified by magic. The settlement do not even have a protective barrier surrounding it.
Mikolaj frowned at what he had learned.
The stone wall is basically just that, a wall made of stone. Nothing more, nothing less.
{How crude.}
Mikolaj thought about it.
{Unless…}
"I hav' confirmed zight of a nearvy zettlement. Let uz dezcend."
[x]
Upon touching the ground, Mikolaj immediately pulled out a Scroll of Anti-scrying and activates it.
He then takes out a Scroll of Non-detection and abruptly activates it again.
He did the same thing when he pulled a Scroll of Anti-tracking, Scroll of False Location, Scroll of Counter-Detect, and a lot more countermeasure spell scrolls.
After activating the last countermeasure spell scroll, he took out the Scroll of Greater Sanctum and activates it.
Upon its activation, a near transparent white cubic spatial barrier expanded from Mikolaj position outwards. The barrier covered about an area of 60m.
Unlike its weaker counterpart Private Sanctum, this spell provides multiple security properties. The likes of; sound cannot pass through the edge of the warded area without the user's permission; the warded area could not been seen through, even by Dark Vision or mid-tier Divination spells; additionally, nothing can teleport into or out of the waded area without caster's permission.
Seeing the barrier finally stabilized, Mikolaj pulled the first of the many [Mercenary Contract: Shadow Demon] and without further ado, began the summoning rites.

Still in his office, Tyrean was taking full advantage of his eidetic memory.
He was looking at all the information he has about Overlord. Reviewing everything, trying to see if he had missed any important detail that he should pay attention to.
Currently, he's rewatching Overlord Season 1 episode 13, the part where between Shalltear and Ainz fought.
Although, one can argue that the anime had skipped a lot of content, which is true, it still has its merits.
When he saw the part where Ainz used a hourglass-shaped cash item, which in the wiki labelled [Hourglass], got him thinking.
According to the wiki, that cash item can reduce casting time of a Super-Tier spell into zero in an instant. He wondered if the item's effect is restricted only for reducing casting time of spells or could it be used for other purposes?
Tyrean immediately drop whatever he was doing and took out one from his inventory.
"[All Appraisal Magic Item]!"
Without preamble, he used his most powerful appraisal spell. And once the item's description appeared, he speedily read through it, wanting to know if his assumption is true or not.
"HOLY SHIT!"
Tyrean did not care whether the Hanzos heard him curse. He was too surprised and too happy at what he has discovered.
It turns out, his assumption was spot on.
Not only [Shards of Time], the name of the cash item, not only it can instantaneously reduce casting time into zero, it could also be used for other applications.
Whether it's production speed, construction speed, ritual, enchantment, or anything that requires a period of time before activation, [Shards of Time] can instantaneously reduce its required time to zero.
Which means…
Tyrean can use the effect of [Shards of Time] to his [Infinite Source of Fortune and Greed].
And that also means…
Combining those two items could allow him to gain a new servant almost instantaneously.
"Open [Inventory Master's List]!"
As soon as those words were uttered, a pale yellow window appeared infront of Tyrean. Not wasting any moment, Tyrean used the search engine to find out his [Shards of Time] stock.
With his lightning-speed typing, Tyrean found out that he only has 68 [Shards of Time]. That means he could only instant summon 68 level 100 servant.
{Wow!}
He couldn't believe his luck. He has 68 of those times. Although, he was initially disappointed that he only have thirty, but when he saw the price of each [Shards of Time] is about 10.40 USD, his knees staggered.
(A/N: 10.40 x 68 = was about 707.20 USD / 33,985.52 PHP / 67,971.03 ¥ during the time I'm writing this.)
{Oh my goodness! Those things are so f**king expensive!}
He shook his head to recover.
Tyrean reminded himself of his title and its implication.
When he finally gathered himself, he proceeded to march out of the room and headed to the basement. Well, it's more of sprinting than marching.
Scratch that, he was running as fast as The Flash.
Even though he's relatively far from the construct, Tyrean managed to reach the basement in less than a few seconds. This is probably due his very high agility.
(A/N: Agi. 95)
Standing infront of the construct, Tyrean immediately takes one [Shards of Time] from his inventory. When he was about to crush it, he hesitated.
Tyrean shut his eyes and opened his connection to his WCI.
Sensing that his connection with it has been establish, he opened his eye and immediately greeted by the softly glowing golden egg floating in the void, Tyrean approached the egg and held it with his other hand.
Once he's touching the egg, Tyrean crushed the hourglass.
As soon as the magic item shattered, the egg glowed brighter. Thousands of multicoloured dust rushed into the egg.
Seeing the construct was reacting to the cash item, Tyrean withdrew and waited outside the construct.
DING!
With a hissing sound, the construct then opened a panel large enough for a person to pass through.
Tack, tack, tack, tack.
The sound of someone walking in heels can be heard coming from the opened panel.
Hearing the sound coming closer and louder, Tyrean is vibrating in excitement to meet his new servant. After all, it's not as common as breathing to see an anime character come to life.
[x]
Seeing Semiramis in person, Tyrean wholeheartedly agree with the description given to her—an unparalleled beauty who wears a regal dark red and gold dress. She has a long straight silky black hair, pointed elven ears, and piercing amber eyes. Another notable feature of hers, is the spikes that protrude from each of her hands.
Upon Semiramis locked eyes with Tyrean, she spoke.
"In accordance to your summons, I, Semiramis, present herself as your devout servant. This body, my fate, everything that I am and shall be is yours to command. Command me, Tyrean T. Photel-sama!"
After saying her piece, Semiramis went down on one knee in a graceful descent.
Using a superior identification spell, he found out that her overall stats is just the same as Demiurge's. Nevertheless, it doesn't properly convey how dangerous she can be, just like Demiurge.
He also noticed that she was made with a complete equipment and accessories. Which is good, because he won't be needing to worry about that. Although there aren't on par to his equipment, hers focused on boosting her summons.
Tyrean could guess that his World Class Item included it in Semiramis creation.
Speaking of summons, Semiramis unique job class is Grand Summoner supported by the following job classes: Lord of the Castle; Poison Master; and Ritualist.
The unique job class, Grand Summoner is quite fitting. After all, she could summon a skeleton-like soldiers, spawn monsters that have potent poison abilities, and when all the conditions are met, she could even summon her flying mobile fortress.
As for her racial class, Semiramis, unlike her Fate counterpart, is a high elf. Meaning, all her level are focused on her job class.
{I see, my WCI made an adjustment, allowing Semiramis to meet all my requirements.}
Tyrean was very happy to know that his WCI was able to do that.
After inspecting Semiramis specs, Tyrean finally address her.
"Raise your head, Semiramis."
In an outstanding speed, she did so.
"Thank you for answering my call, Semiramis. I am in need of your service."
[x]
It turns out the speed of [Infinite Source of Fortune and Greed]'s production is greatly dependent on the complexity of his order.
This is something he had learned after producing three of the six components needed to build the fortress in less than four hours. At this rate, they will have all the materials within 24 hours.
According to Semiramis, three days is a fixed number to create the fortress.
So in other words, their fortress could be made within four days from now.
Currently, Tyrean is still in the basement, consulting Semiramis about the things he wish to add to the fortress. All the while, waiting for the construct to finish producing the necessary amount of wood.
"Semiramis, does the fortress have any bans?"
"I apologize Tyrean T. Photel-sama but it doesn't have any."
"It's fine. I do not blame you." Tyrean flicks his hand, dismissing her shortcoming. "By the way, address me as Tyrean. Also, do not think that you are incompetent nor your lacking will make me think of you less. Do you hear me?"
"Yes, Tyrean-sama. Thank you for your kind words."
"Good." Tyrean nods. "Let's go back at the topic. Since it isn't protected from such, can we install additional enchantment on the fortress?"
"I believe it's able to, Tyrean T. Photel-sama. Though I am ashamed to admit that enchantments isn't within my field of expertise."
"It's fine, don't beat yourself up. I was actually planning to create a Master Enchanter/s for that task. Which leads me to my next point, what kind of enchantment best suit the fortress?"
"Tyrean-sama, it could be enchanted by any means you wish."
"Is that so? Well, that's good news. Once I finished producing the necessary materials for the fortress, I'll begin the creation of a Master Enchanter/s."
"Tyrean-sama, will you hear this presumptuous servant's request?"
"Hn?! Tell me your request, I'll hear it. I'll grant it if I could."
"Thank you for your kindness. May I be allowed to bear witness of such momentous event?"
"Yo, you wish to watch me create a new servant?"
"Yes, Tyrean-sama."
"Hm…"
Tyrean could not comprehend why would Semiramis be interested in something like that? Watching from the construct work from outside perspective isn't interesting. On the other hand, watching it work within is. Unfortunately, he cannot bring anyone within the construct.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Tyrean-sama. It would be an honor to witness the birth of a fellow servant."
Tyrean thought about it and saw no problem granting such a simply request.
"Very well, I'll allow it."
"Thank you very much, Tyrean-sama."
"It's fine. Let's continue. I have more questions. Do you have local omniscience when you're at the fortress?"
Semiramis momentarily displayed shocked before it returned to normal.
"Yes, Tyrean-sama. Provided, I must be at the Throne Room of the Garden to have access with that skill of mine."
"How strong will your local omniscience be?"
"Rest assured, Tyrean-sama. I'll be able to see through the spell Perfect Unknowable with ease. I would also be able to see beyond the Garden, in some extent."
"That's very handy ability of yours. Onto the next question, if the fortress was damaged would you be able to repair it?"
"Yes, Tyrean-sama. Though it would require new materials for the repair. The duration of repair is also dependent on the severity of damage."
"I see. Once the fortress is built. I'll make sure to supply you with enough spare material to make another fortress—"
Tyrean paused for a while.
"Say, can you make another fortress if you were given enough material?"
Tyrean imagined making multiple stationed fortress and was planning to install teleportation traps in the flying fortress. And when their enemies managed to stumble into it, they will be teleported into one of the scattered fortresses. Preferably, a party will be separated from one another. And said fortresses will be armed to the teeth, turning it into a freaking death trap.
Semiramis smile widen a little bit.
"Yes Tyrean-sama, I could. Though, it will suffer from major drawbacks."
"Could you be specific?"
"Certainly, Tyrean-sama. The new fortress will lose all of its offensive capabilities and its capability to take flight. I could only activate those features, if I am at the Throne Room of the fortress. It would also lose all its activation-required defensive abilities but retain its passive ones as well as the installed traps."
"I see."
{In other words, without Semiramis managing the fortress it will be very weak. Still, they could work with that.}
"That is still a great news! On an unrelated note, are you able to make alterations to the architecture design of the fortress?"
Semiramis closed her eyes and went quiet for a moment. Tyrean assumed that she was looking at it if she's able to.
When she opened them, she answered his question.
"I apologize for the wait, Tyrean-sama. Yes, I'm able to do so."
"That's another great news!"
The reason he asked that question was to ensure that enemies will never be able to develop a map their flying fortress. After all, what is the point of making a new one with the same weakness?
He doesn't want his fortresses to be destroyed as easy as the Death Stars. That will be a giant waste of resources and a very dumb way to die.
(A/N: The Death Star is a gargantuan space station, from Star Wars-universe, armed with a planet-destroying superlaser.}
{Wait a minute… can my World Class Item make me one?}
Having an interstellar space station as a base is not a bad idea. Although he isn't much of a scifi-geek/nerd, he could see its merit.
No one would suspect their base is at outer space, provided that they must be very far the planet or else their base would look like another moon, and it might even be the safest place in the New World.
{Plus, having a planet-destroying superlaser is like having one of the twenty.}
This line of thinking was interrupted when Tyrean finally remembers his Guardians. He needed to alert them about this discovery of his.
"Ah! That reminds me. Red, Grey, White, the three of you call my available guardians for an emergency meeting! Have them come to my office as soon as possible!"
" " "Understood!" " "
"Dismissed!"
Upon gaining permission, they bowed once more to their Master, before they quickly left the basement as fast as they could.
Tyrean gaze returns to Semiramis.
"I have a few more questions for you. Once, I'm done. You are to attend the emergency meeting, as well. Black, lead her to my office."
"If that is what you desire Tyrean-sama then I shall follow."
"Good. Semiramis, I'm planning to make the Hanging Garden of Babylon as an invincible fortress. I obviously can't do this on my own. Care to share some are your thoughts to achieve this goal of mine?"
YGGDRASIL had the Ariadne System to stop players from making invincible fortress. According to the wiki, it isn't sure if it applies to the New World.
Tyrean theorized that Ariadne System was carried to the New World. However, it only applies to the bases that came from YGGDRASIL, such as the Great Tomb of Nazarick, and not the bases made at the New World.
Also, knowing that some rules of YGGDRASIL were and could be by-passed at the New World, Tyrean is hoping that, he or his Seneschals would think of a way around it.
Like how Ainz's undead summons could exist indefinitely, if a corpse from the New World was used as a tribute to the summon it.
Semiramis smile deepens as her eyes glowed brighter. She was very interest with her Master's idea.
She lets out a chuckle before answering.
"Kufufufu, Tyrean-sama I am very happy to help you achieve your goals."
She very much likes her Master and his plans.
[x]
Hiron's light footsteps could be heard echoing as he gracefully walked towards their Master's room. His good mood seemed to be contagious because his vassals were also in a good mood.
He walked happily through the third floor of his Master's Green Secret House.
The sensation of returning after a long time was probably an illusion of some sort. After all, he was just here a few hour ago. The reason for his misperception was clearly due to the joy he felt at walking through this place.
His mood lifted the closer he got to his objective.
He'll be basking at the presence of their beloved Master. If he was given the right, he' would never leave his beloved Master's side. He'd be singing songs of praises all day, play musical instruments, and offer tributes to his beloved Master.
Hiron mentally sigh in disappointment. Sadly, he couldn't have that.
Their master deemed it unnecessary for them to shadow him within the Green Secret House. Their Master would rather have them secure perimeter than staying at his side.
Although Hiron could understand his Master's reasoning, he still wished to be by his Master's side.
{Siguro sa susunood kailangan kong ipilit ang aking opinyon. (Maybe next time, I'll insist on accompanying Tyrean-sama.)}
Hiron forcefully stop his greediness from continuing to rear its ugly head.
{Kailangan kong gawin ito. Hindi ko gustong bigoin ang aking Panginoon. (I need to do this. I do not want to disappoint Tyrean-sama.)}
Hiron did not mind if his Master reprimanded him. In fact, he would love that. Just imagining a situation where his Master's attention solely focused to him. Hiron bit back a moan as his body shivered in delight.
A strange gleam in his eyes appeared. But when he blinked, it was all gone. Like it was never there.
What Hiron is afraid of is disappointing his Master.
If his Master was to label him useless and unhelpful, Hiron would go mad. He wouldn't know what to do. It would be fine if his death would be sufficient enough to pay his sins. But if he was abandoned… Hiron stopped thinking about it.
He doesn't want to think about it. It is too terrifying. He'll just have to be perfect, so his Master will never discard him.
The perfect and most devout servant he could be.
{Syanga pala… (Speaking of perfection…)}
Hiron stopped walking and very earnestly inspect his personal grooming. He did not want his master to see a side of him which was less than immaculate.
After he was done, Hiron continued walking to the fourth floor.
Under normal circumstances, there would be nobody here. However, there were many present. Specifically, they were Altos, and Tasha, along their vassals.
"Kamusta mga kawpa Tagapagtangol! Pagpasyensyahan ninyo ang ako sa aking pagkahuli. (Hello my fellow Guardians! Please forgive my lateness.)"
"To you asss well, Hiron. Also, think nothing of it. There isss no need to apologize for sssuch trivial matter."
Altos only nodded showing that he has the same opinion with Tasha.
Hiron didn't take on offense when Altos only nodded back. Both he and Tasha knew that Altos won't speak as long as it is necessary or unless he's being address by their Master.
"Gayon paman humihinhi ako ng paumanhin. Maraming salamat sa inyong pag-unawa. Tayo ng magtungo sa opesina ng ating Panginoon?" (Even so, I'm still sorry for my lateness. And thank you for your understanding. Then, shall we proceed to our Master's office together?)"
This time both Altos and Tasha only nodded back.
When the Guardians were about to move, they sensed the presence of a living being moving towards this place.
Their body tensed. Ready to draw their weapon, if needed. They were even prepared to draw the WCIs, they Master graciously lent to them.
As they looked at that direction, they saw a black haired elvish woman clad in equally black dress walking towards them.
The Guardians eyes seemed to contain an emotion resembling to curiosity. It was only a natural reaction given the appearance of an unknown entity. Thankfully, they were still able to discern that she was on the same side as them, so they did not attack her.
Hiron took the lead and asked who is and who she serves, in his utmost respect.
"Paumanhin ginang, maari ko po bang tangungin kung sino ka at kung kanino ka naglilingkod? (Pardon me, my lady. But may I ask who are you and whom do you serve?)"
She woman slightly smiled before she speaks.
"Yes, you may. I was once known as Wise Queen of Assyria. But now, I am only Semiramis, a devout servant of Tyrean T. Photel-sama." Says the curtsying Semiramis.
Their response to her answer was dramatic, to say the least.
Their master had informed them that he was on the process of creating a servant. And it will take eight months to do so.
Seeing the said servant, in front of them was truly shocking. And something truly worth calling an emergency meeting about.
{Ang aming Panginoon ay talaga na mang napakamakapangyarihan. (Tyrean-sama is truly the most powerful.)}
"Tyrean-sama had commanded me to introduce myself to you, his Guardians. I look forward working with you. Please take care of me from now on."
Being the perfect Guardian that he is, Hiron steps in and help with the introduction.
[x]
"A warm welcome for Tyrean T. Photel-sama. "
That voice belong to one of the Hanzos that accompanied their master.
The genuflecting Guardians plus Semiramis could hear the doors open once more, and this time there was the crisp sound of shoed feet against the ground.
The footsteps slowly passed around the line of Guardians, whereupon it ended in the sound of someone sitting down.
"You may raise your heads."
The assembled Guardians looked up— the sounds of their movement perfectly coordinated— to their master who was seated on his chair.
"My Guardians, I would like to inform you that there has been a new development. As you can see—" Tyrean gestures Semiramis. "We have made a great progress in both servant creation as well as the fortress creation."
His guardians along with Semiramis applauded him for his success.
"Binabati ko po kayo Panginoon sa inyong tagumpay. (This servant of yours congratulates you, Tyrean-sama for your glorious success!)"
"CONGRATULATIONS… TYREAN… SAMA."
"Congratulationsss Tyrean-sssama."
"Thank you my Guardians." Tyrean happily reply.
This time Tyrean isn't shy to accept his Guardians praises. He was proud that he had discovered that game changing item.
"Tulad ng inaasahan, ang aming Panginoon ay walang hindi kayang gawin! (As expected from Tyrean-sama, there is nothing in this world that could stop you!)"
"TYREAN… SAMA… IS… REALLY… AMAZING!"
"Tyrean-sssama isss not only kind, generousss, but alssso overflowsss with wisssdom no being could be. To be able to sssurpasss sssuch hurdle with eassse, outssstanding!"
"Tyrean-sama's wisdom and foresight is truly the mark of a Supreme Being." Semiramis adds.
This time, Guardians' praises felt like he was being stabbed with a dull knife. It was all too much for him.
{Yup… Those words hurts. Nevertheless…}
"Ahem! With that in mind, we can now push our plans forward."
Tyrean looked them.
"Within twenty hour, all the material needed for the fortress would be ready. Afterwards, I'll begin creating new servants."
[x]
Sensing something was touching the Greater Private Sanctum, Mikolaj tuned into it.
. . / . . . . . - . . . - . / . - . . - . . - . - . - . . - . . . - . - . -
Recognizing the tapping sequence, Mikolaj signaled vassals to be ready to attack.
Like the obedient vassals that they are, they readied their weapon and went into battle stance, without question.
Satisfied with their obedience, Mikolaj willed the barrier to open, enough for one person or being to pass-through.
As soon as the opening was passable, a single Hanzo passed through it.
Mikolaj promptly closed the opening, once the Hanzo had stepped in.
At the same time, four of the the Eight Edge Assassins quickly boxed the newly arrived Hanzo, along with the Fuumas. While the Kashin Kojis and Tobi Katos ready to support them from the back.
The rest of Mikolaj's vassals went to him, ready to defend him.
The Hanzo on the other hand didn't do anything. It simple still stood.
No one spoke within a minute or two.
The silence was broken when Mikolaj finally addressed the Hanzo.
"Vhat iz the pazzvord?"
"P981-A103-R526-I471-S001"
Mikolaj continue to stare at the Hanzo.
He nods accepting the password. This also signals his vassals to step back.
Using his unique connection with their Master, Mikolaj was able to determine that the Hanzo is still on their side and not an enemy.
Not only that, he was waiting for the confirmation, thru a message scroll, from the rest of Eight Edge Assassins, who was tailing this Hanzo.
They were to observe, if the Hanzo would be discovered and captured, they were to eliminate.
When the rest of his vassals step back, the Hanzo respectfully went to one knee and lowered its head.
"Report."
"Mikolaj-sama, I have confirmed that the settlement isn't meant to be a trap." A Hanzo reported.
The Hanzo went on and gave his general review of the settlement: their defence, their military strength, etc.
"…To sum it up, they are very weak, Mikolaj-sama. We could easily slipped in and out without anyone noticing us come and go."
"That iz good." He nodded.
Mikolaj had to be sure that the settlement isn't a trap to lure intruders.
He was very wary that a settlement as large as that has a very poor defensive capability. Which is why Mikolaj had sent a Hanzo to confirm whether it's a trap or not.
With all the assistance his Master had provided him, he needs to ensure that he'll complete the mission without any blunder.
"Then, let uz proceed vith the mizzion. You know what to do?" Mikolaj address his vassals.
"Yes, Mikolaj-sama!" The group chorused.
Mikolaj nodded before giving go signal.
When the barrier opened all except, the group of Eight Edge Assassins, burst into action.
The mercenary ninjas used their unique motion technique, leaving afterimage behind. The Shadow Demons melted into shadows that quickly slither like a snakes at the nearest shadow they could find.
After closing the barrier, Mikolaj activated four high level scrying spell scroll.
Multiple magical window appeared infront of him. One of which displays his vassals' location in a mini map of the settlement, and others show video feed from his vassals' perspective.
Seeing his vassals successfully infiltrated the settlement at an incredible speed, Mikolaj clenched his hands and thought:
{Tyrean-zama, our infiltration mizzion haz final vegun. Pleaze vatchz ove' uz.}
