Mineta Minoru wasn't feeling that great, which, honestly, was pretty understandable.

Ever since mum and big sis had gotten a new job, Mineta and his family had to move out of their neighborhood to Mustafu. Now, Mineta was headed to a new school, one that wasn't as good as his previous school, if the online ratings were anything to go by. As he walked into the building, he bumped into a green haired boy. They stumbled.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" Mineta exclaimed, a little pissed and embarrassed that he'd forgotten to pay attention. Still, just because he was 3'6'' didn't mean someone could run him over willy nilly!

"Sorry!" the green haired boy mumbled. Mineta felt his anger slip away. The dude looked like he was a bad comment away from crying. "It's...it's alright. No harm, no foul, right?"

Shit, now he was the one feeling bad. Dammit!

The green haired boy shook his head. "No, no, you were right, it was my fault." he took a closer look at Mineta. "Wait, you're the new student! Everyone's been talking about you! Mineta, right?"

Mineta perked up "They have?!" Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

The green haired boy nodded. "Yeah. Aldera usually doesn't get new students that join in the middle of their high school years." He paused. "Just...be careful. There's a boy here our classmates adore. Katsuki Bakugou. He has a really powerful quirk, and an ego to match it. I'm usually able to keep his attention on me, but you never know. Best way to stay out of his crosshairs is to not be seen with me." The green haired boy turned away and headed to his class

Mineta paused. What the fuck? Was this guy asking to not associate with him because a bully liked to use him as a punching bag? Mineta headed to his homeroom, disturbed. What the hell had he walked in to?

A Few Hours Later

Mineta sat down to eat his lunch. Despite his early anxiety, things had actually worked out pretty well! His classmates didn't dismiss him right off the bat for his height and weak quirk, like they did in his previous school. Even better, there were a lot of pretty girls too! Mineta salivated at the thought. Maybe he'd even be able to land himself a girlfriend in this dump!

BANG

Mineta jumped. It sounded like a cannon had just gone off in the hallways! He ran to see the commotion.

What he saw would stick with him for a long time to come.

A blonde haired boy with angry red eyes and messy hair was standing over the green haired boy he'd talked with previously.

"Useless fucking Deku! Who the fuck do you think you are, talking to me like that!" the blonde snarled, before stepping on the green haired boy's hand.

"ANSWER ME!" he roared. The green haired boy looked at the blonde, a glare of deep hatred clear in his emerald eyes, but he still refused to speak. This further pissed off the blonde. His right hand started popping with explosions again.

Then was quickly smothered out by a purple hair orb.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Mineta shouted. He'd seen bullying before, but this was a new extreme. Fucks sake, there were three teachers in the room and none of them were lifting a finger!

The rabid blonde turned to Mineta. "You don't know shit, midget! Now get your shit off me! I gotta teach this Deku his place!"

Mineta stood his ground. The green haired boy was a little odd, to be sure, but he didn't deserve this. At that moment, the green haired boy spoke up.

"Mineta-san, it's alright. I can handle this." he turned to the blonde boy. "Enough, Kaachan. Your grudge's with me. Leave him out of it."

The blonde boy snarled, before he threw the green haired boy away. "Fuck this. I'll get you after school, Deku. Just you wait."

As the audience dispersed, Mineta ran up to the green haired boy. "Hey, hey, you alright? That looked really nasty to me."
The green haired boy nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Bakugou usually goes much harder than that. Guess I have you to thank."

Mineta shook his head. "Fuckin hell, I heard the rumors about this school, but to see it with your own eyes...Jesus. Even the teachers didn't lift a finger."

The green haired boy chuckled. "Like I said, Bakugou's got a powerful quirk. The teachers here would murder their own children if it meant preserving Bakugou's reputation and shoehorning him into U.A." the green haired boy stood up shakily, clutching his ribs.

"Bakugou wants to be a hero above all else. He wants a Hero License so he can have the proper excuse to beat up anyone he comes across to a pulp, and to show off that he's the best." He spat out a glob of blood. "Asshole." he growled. "He keeps that attitude up and he'll kill far more innocent people than he'll rescue, just you watch."

Mineta frowned. That rabid blonde bastard, being a hero, just to have an excuse to beat up people? It made him feel sick. It was then that Mineta looked down in shame. He wasn't much better. He wanted to be a hero because he felt that a hero's reputation would help him score better with chicks. The green haired boy stumbled and fell on his knees. Mineta hastily went to him.

"Hey, hey, let's get you looked at. Those hits looked nasty."

The green haired boy chuckled. "I've known you for...less than an hour, and you've already done more for me than 99% of this damn school." He sat against the wall, shaking his head in disapproval. "I warned you not to associate with me, Mineta-san. You'll be in Bakugou's crosshairs now."

"Fuck that asshole." Mineta growled. Mineta may have been a pervert without shame, but he had his standards, damn it! And it'd be a cold day in hell before he ever associated with that rabid blonde. "If you ask me, you're worth ten of him."

The green haired boy sighed in resignation, before smiling at Mineta. "Well, if I can't convince you..." he stood up from the wall. "You should at least know the name of your comrade in arms in this hellhole."

He took a deep breath, calming his nerves.

"My name is Izuku. Izuku Midoriya."

Mineta smiled back. "Minoru Mineta." he replied back. Heh. Things seemed to be looking up.
