make you mine(part 1)

::

Put your hand in mine

"Can you guys just smash your lips together! It's getting annoying watching you guys look at each other at the corner of your eyes!"

Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, and Percy were all at Piper's dad ball. Piper was currently berating her, while the boys were getting food from the buffet table.

"Like honestly, I can't even talk to you anymore."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Now you know how we feel with you and Jason. It's like watching predatory beasts fighting each other, except with a tongue."

Piper looked up, bringing her hands up as well, signaling Annabeth she was frustrated. "Except the fact, we're actually together. And we had the guts to tell each other."

"It's just friendship smiles. Percy is my friend, and nothing more-"

Percy had turned in the buffet line, while waiting, and beamed at Annabeth.

Annabeth smiled back.

"Ugh! You see what I mean? We can't even have a conversation. You're so caught up in his eyes-"

Annabeth had covered her mouth. "Say that louder, I don't think China heard you. I don't want some silly rumors to spread."

Piper grinned. "If it's just silly rumors, then why does it matter?"

She was trapped.

Luckily, the boys were just coming back from the line to save Annabeth, but she could still see the look Piper was giving her.

Leo slipped onto a seat. "Hello ladies, been a long time hasn't it!"

"Leo, it's been 5 minutes, max."

"Whatever, Annie."

Jason sat on the seat next to Piper, and Percy next to Annabeth, which immediately made Annabeth feel giddy.

God, she was obsessed.

Percy flashed a smile, and Annabeth was close to melting. Annabeth had studied his smiles over the years, and she loved every one of them. The casual crooked grin, the bright beam, the small smile when he chuckles, and Annabeth was so caught up in him.

"What were you guys talking about?"

Piper slyly grinned. "Oh, just Annie's little cr-"

"Crab addiction."

Percy choked on his noodles. "What?"

Annabeth glared at Piper.

"Yep. I-I love crabs."

She needed some revenge.

"Piper's the one who taught me how amazing crabs were. She's gushing everyday about how cute they look."

This time, Piper was glaring at her, and Annabeth just smiled. Karma's a bitch.

Jason innocently asked, "Well, Piper, would you like to get a crab when we get married."

Piper dramatically gasped. "Married?"

"Well, you are going to be my future wife."

Piper dragged Jason's face in and they started furiously making out. Annabeth, Percy, and Leo bent down and made throw up noises.

"Disgusting!"

"PDA!"

"Get a room!"

Piper broke apart laughing, while Jason had bright cheeks that looked similar to his red tie.

They ate their food, while laughing, chatting, and kicking each other underneath the table.

It wasn't too often this would happen, but Annabeth would occasionally just watch her friends. She wants to remember every part, action, word from them, and store it into her memory. She knows how college drags friendships away, and she knew that they would always stay friends no matter what, but just in case, Annabeth wants to keep happy moments alive and energetic, and she wants to think one day, "those were the good old days." As cliché as it may sound, these were her best friends, and she's so grateful to have them.

Annabeth snapped into reality, as a loud voice echoed through the room. It took a few seconds, but everyone's attention was caught, and turned where the noise was from, standing up.

Tristan McLean was holding a glass of champagne, with his beautiful wife, Aphrodite beside him.

"While this was hard work, I want to thank my wonderful wife, Aphrodite."

Many claps came from the announcement.

"And my daughter, Piper."

A round of applause as well.

Tristan motioned for Piper to come forward, and unwillingly, she went and stood beside her family.

"And while I know this is a celebration, this is also a ball. So grab a partner, and get moving."

With that, couples grouped together, and started waltzing on the floor, Piper grabbed Jason, and they started swinging around. Annabeth suddenly felt lonely, when she heard a tap on her shoulder.

It was Percy, with his elbow out. "Would you like to dance, my princess?"

Annabeth latched her arm inside his. "Of course, my prince."

Percy dragged her where the rest of the couples were.

Jason was dipping Piper, Tristan and Aphrodite were entertaining the older guests, and the environment was joyful and bright.

Percy directed her left hand to his shoulder, and it was then Annabeth realized she couldn't waltz.

"Hey, Percy? I can't waltz."

Percy smiled his understanding grin.

"It's fine. Just listen to me. You already put your left hand on my shoulder. Now, for your right hand, put it in mine."

She clamped their hands together, and they danced. It was a struggle at first, especially with heels, but Percy was patient with her.

"1-2-3-4. Yep, almost there. 1-2-3-4."

And soon enough, she was waltzing and laughing with Percy freely. Percy was still directing her, but Annabeth was known to learn things really fast.

She twisted, turned, and she was ecstatic. Blood rushing through her, hair slightly blown, cheeks red, and she felt so wonderful.

Randomly, Percy dipped her. Their faces were so close together, and they stayed there for a moment, looking at each other so deeply, before Percy pulled her back up.

At some point slow music came, and Percy had to put her hands on his shoulders, and he wrapped his hands around her waist.

They danced, danced, and danced until they couldn't, and Annabeth knew this one moment to keep forever.

You know that I want to be with you all the time

"Lemon."

"Why do you always want lemon cough drops? Like, why not blueberry or raspberry?"

Annabeth glared at Percy. "Who's sick here?"

Percy rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll be back in 5 minutes."

Percy walked, keys dangling on his fingers, whistling.

She loved that dork.

Her room suddenly felt empty, cold, and abandoned.

She reached underneath her bed, gripping the bed sheets with her left hand, to prevent falling off. She navigated her way with memory, and found the book. She heaved it up, and laid it on her lap. Annabeth flipped to the first page. Thalia and Annabeth were there.

Thalia was her childhood friend, straight from when she was a baby. Their parents were friends, but they never went deep into the details. They would always play tag, and her mother had snapped a photo of them, in which Annabeth kept one, and Thalia kept one as well. Hopefully she still has it.

Annabeth then had to move, and they were in a rush, so they never got to contact the Graces again. She really did miss the rebel girl, but after a few years, she stopped crying over her, and just enjoyed the memories they had. But she always wished Thalia would come back.

She flipped the page, and it was a few years later with Piper. Her mom had left at this point, leaving her and her dad alone. In one of the pictures, Piper and her were dressed up as models. They had clown makeup, boa scarfs, and rainbow colored sunglasses. At the moment, Annabeth had felt pretty, but looking back, she was embarrassed. The only reason she kept it in the scrapbook is because it was a memory with Piper.

The next few pages were just filled with pictures of her and her dad. They were at a picnic, rollercoaster, the park, and a baseball game. In all the photos, they were both smiling, and Annabeth missed what it's like to have parents.

There were about 50 further pictures, and they were all filled with her friends(mostly Percy).

The first one was a photo of them at ice cream. They were either smiling, putting bunny ears on others, or sticking her tongue out. It was one of her favorite photos.

She slid her finger to another one, making a wrinkle sound. Percy and Annabeth were grown up, and they were laying down on Percy's lawn during the summer. His head was in her lap, and Annabeth was petting his head with her left hand, while her right hand was taking the photo. His eyes were closed, and he looked so peaceful. Annabeth knew that while taking the photo, she was looking straight at the camera, smiling, but before the photo, she was just looking down at him in admiration.

She then heard a knock on the door, and Percy walked in.

He tossed her a bag of yellow cough drops, which Annabeth caught, and he slid onto the bed.

"Percy, you're going to get sick."

"Don't know, don't care. Whatcha looking at?"

She showed him the scrapbook, and then she realized it was the photo that he didn't know she took. Percy didn't even seem to care, just stared at it for a few moments with his finger.

He then looked at Annabeth, grabbed the extra blanket, and covered himself with it, and scooted towards Annabeth. Annabeth could practically smell the sea on him, and it was so cleansing and comforting.

"I'm staying here."

"No you're not. You need to go to school. Mrs. Dodds has it in for you."

Percy brought her closer, put her head on his chest, and Annabeth melted under his touch.

"I'm probably already sick. You don't want others to get sick, do you Annabeth?"

"You're such a seaweed brain."

"But I'm your seaweed brain."

He was, and would always be hers.

Annabeth might like him more than a friend, but for now, Annabeth was fine just being friends.

You know that I won't stop until I make you mine

"That's Perseus?"

"Mm."

"And that's Orion?"

"Mm."

"Stop mumbling. I like it when you say actual words."

Annabeth chuckled.

"Percy, we've been practicing constellations for around 40 minutes. Let's take a break and enjoy the view."

Percy and Annabeth laid down on the grass watching the stars, enjoying the comfort of each other. Annabeth cherished these moments, making sure to capture them in her mind.

"I think the world is pure geometry-basically, a beautiful twisting shape twisting around and dancing over space-time."

"I don't understand."

"I don't really either. But we'll figure it out."

Annabeth was used to this. Just sitting in silence with Percy, relaxing, and it was so calm and peaceful.

"Annabeth?"

"Yeah?"

"We're going to stay together, right? Like once we graduate?"

Annabeth had thought about it multiple times. Percy's going to someday find someone better than her, and without even meaning it, he's going to drift off and leave her alone, but she couldn't bear to say it to his face.

"Of course, Percy. Both of us, to the moon and back."

"Mm."

"Hypocrite."

"Mm. But what about college?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes, but inside, she was slightly panicking. She was having a good time, and this might screw it up.

"Do you really think college could separate us, Seaweed Brain?"

"No."

"That's that."

Percy laid down on her lap, just like when they were younger, and closed his eyes.

She rubbed her finger on his head, soothingly, and he leaned into her touch.

She watched, his eyelashes twittering, drool coming out of his mouth.

You are so special, she thought. And I'm not letting you go. Not just yet.

They stayed overnight, and woke up to the sunrise.

You know that I won't stop until I make you mine

"You had it coming."

Annabeth turned around, drenched, face red, steam practically coming out of her ears.

Percy looked at Annabeth, innocently. "What? You did."

Annabeth ran towards the basket of water balloons, and before Percy had realized, she had grabbed his entire supply.

"Loser."

Percy started to run, and Annabeth chased after him, her shoes landing in puddles, but she didn't care. She just really loved the phrase, karma's a bitch. She used it one too many times in her life, and once she gets Percy hit, it'll be another time.

She chased him around the tennis courts, trying to hit him. By now, she wasn't even looking, just trying to chuck them at her best. One hit him, and he dramatically gasped.

"Annabeth! How could you hit your dearest friend?"

"You hit me with 3 of them 5 minutes ago," she deadpanned.

"I told you, you had it coming."

"Yeah, after you hit me!"

"Tomato, potato."

"That's not how it goes!"

"Smartass."

She gained adrenaline, rushing so fast, she was just behind Percy, and he suddenly stopped, and Annabeth fell right on top of him.

THUMP

Annabeth groaned, and she heard Percy grunt as well.

"Percy? You alright?"

"Just fine. You?"

"Good. Now let's get up."

Percy rolled over, and wow, they were so close to each other. Annabeth stared at Percy, and Percy stared back. Annabeth noticed the tips of his ears were red.

It was one of those moments in which she wished she could just bring him closer, and give him a kiss. But she knew there was no point, so she rolled off, letting the moment end.

It was awkward silence, unlike normal. "...My home's closer. Let's get you cleaned up."

"I totally didn't know your house was close, Percy."

"Shut up."

The tension in the air was erased, and Annabeth almost physically let out a sigh of relief.

They reached Percy's home, and it overwhelmed Annabeth with a sense of familiarity. The small little home, with a whiff of cookies, and a rocking chair on the porch

Without even going in, the house itself was comforting.

Annabeth, as a usual in the Jackson house, walked inside on her own, took off her shoes, and collapsed on the couch. Before realizing she was still wet.

"Annie! You're going to get the couch wet. That's like 10,000 years old passed on from the generations of Jacksons!"

Annabeth rolled her eyes, but got up. Such a drama queen. "Percy, your family literally got this couch, like 5 years ago."

"Whatever."

Suddenly, Sally the goddess came in with her everlasting aura, and Annabeth felt so much warmth, she almost melted back onto the couch. The power of her never got old.

"Hey Annabeth-wow! What happened to you guys?"

Percy reached for a cookie. "Water balloons happened."

Annabeth glared at him. "You act like it wasn't your fault."

Percy ate more cookies.

"Annabeth, honey. Why don't you go take a clean shower? I'll give you some of your other clothes."

Yeah, this doesn't just happen one time. Somehow, Percy and Annabeth always managed a way into a mess, so one day, Annabeth just packed a duffel bag full of clothes, and put it at the Jacksons. That way, in certain circumstances such as these, Annabeth could wear her own clothes and not use poor Sally's clothes.

Annabeth took a hasty shower in Percy's bathroom, and changed into fresh clothes. Percy had taken a shower in his parents' room, and finished before Annabeth.

The greatest mystery to Annabeth : How the fuck did boys take showers so quick!

Annabeth theorized they have a super power. She named it Super Soapy, but she was still reconsidering about the name.

Percy came closer to her, and sniffed her, which entirely creeped her out and made her blush at the same time.

"You smell like me. I think."

"I used your body wash."

"Ah, makes sense."

They sat on the couch, and Percy turned on the TV.

"The Parthenon is the-"

"Next," and Percy flipped the channel.

"Hey! I liked it!"

"It said four words! How would you know if you like it?"

"I just know."

She climbed on top of him, fighting for the remote, when Percy randomly gave in. Percy only gives in for the most desperate measures, such as when Sally calls from the kitchen saying she has blue cookies, so Annabeth was confused.

She watched as a sly grin slid onto his face, and Annabeth had the urge to run away.

"Let's make blue brownies."

Most may ask why blue, but Annabeth wonders why brownies, as it's not usual for Percy, and she states that aloud.

"Well, blue cookies taste good, since they're blue, so blue brownies must taste good."

Annabeth was into facts and logic. She usually always needed information to support a claim, but blue food was beyond scientific explanation. It was one thing that Annabeth loved too much to care about what's the reason behind it.

She leaps off the couch, walking towards the kitchen, Percy following, and they see Sally on the last step of the stairs holding a plate.

"I'm going to head up and watch some TV. Tell me if you need anything."

And with that, the kitchen was left with the

20 minutes into baking, Percy and Annabeth were coated with flour and had slight droppings of blue dough on their arms, and how they got there, Annabeth had no idea.

"No! 400 not 350. Just put it in the middle rack, and it'll bake correctly!"

"Or you could put it at 350, and at the top rack. That way, it'll cook better, but not overburn."

"This isn't physics. It needs experience. Trust me!"

Annabeth crossed her arms. "Fine. But if they're still batter, then next time, you'll listen to me."

"Deal."

15 minutes later, the cookies had finished, and Annabeth lost. She always had a problem with pride, but Percy was the only person to calm her down. Even if he's annoying.

"Told you! They look perfect! I was honestly worried though. You always win."

She further proved her point.

"Here, take one."

She reached for the cookie, quickly blowing it, before breaking half a piece and putting it in her mouth. It was really, really good, and indescribable.

A few hours later, Annabeth had to leave, so she farewelled, trying to ignore the pang in her heart.

Until I make you mine

a/n: i'm back, yes! and ready to write until my fingers start to cramp :)

yeah, so this part was pretty much a lot of fluff. not really a story.

i'll post the second or third part. while writing this a/n, i don't actually know how long this'll be, whether there is 2, or 3, or maybe 4 chapters , just really depends. i'm going do get the second part at least done until i post this one, so in your point of view, whenever you're reading this, it is most likely the 2nd chapter is also done, but please don't ask me to update, i'll take my time to make the next one great, just keep that in your head.

song: make you mine by PUBLIC- i honestly love the song, it's great, i've spammed it for the past month. since the amount of so called "good(or the ones i prefer)" songs haven't been coming out, i've been going back to my older songs, and this was one of them. it's just so catchy. another thing, i won't be putting the song lyrics in order, just random fragments in a random order, hope it doesn't bother you guys, i won't cut off lyrics, though.

i got writer's block like 10 times in just writing this, and it took so much editing, oh my god, you have no idea, and i still have to write other chapters, oh my god, this is going to destroy me. *cue the mood change* but i'll do anything to take up time!

stay safe!

PLEASE READ!

ok so i'm like coming back to this a month after i wrote this but whatever. this is an unfinished story, and i wont be finishing it. i have one more chapter after this, but after that, it's done. i don't want to be that person who just leaves a story, and doesn't say anything, so like i'm telling you now. please no hate, i understand how it can feel, but i at least want to give a warning, i hope you guys understand.

i've been busy with life, and this just takes up to much of my time. maybe later i'll come back to finish this off, but no hope. i'm pretty much isolating myself from ffn, trying not to get to crazy with it, and socializing more with friends. i'll still be on this website, trust me, so until i officially shut down my account and all that, then anyone can pm and whatever. if you've pm'd me, or i've pm'd you at least 10 times, i'd say we're pretty close, so i'll probably pm here and there to talk and all that stuff.

i'll post the 2nd part in a week or so, probably earlier. again, i do hope to complete this story, and regain interest in this fandom, but it might take some time.

this isn't my official goodbye, just don't expect me to write anything for a long time, unless i feel a sudden burst of inspiration for the pjo fandom.

so yeah. ruin the mood much? yeah, i kinda did.
