Sam is violently wakened from her flashback when to hands grasp their shoulders and spin her around. There isn't any love in those hands at the moment. They hurt while they're digging in her skin and drawing blood. 'What in the gods names do you think you're doing!', the man looks furiously. On one hand he has a hand device and he isn't afraid to use it. Withing mere moments Sam is on her knees and the sharp pain in her head is killing her. The burning of her golden collar seems like a soft caressing now, but she refuses to go down without a final word. She musters all the strength and even manage to sound confident and proud. 'I'm Samantha Carter, Captain of the SGC, I'm of the Tauri and you can kill me all you want but you'll never know what happened to Jolinar.' Those lasts words are actual desperation. She knows she was infected with a Goa'uld a few months back and the snake did claim to be a member of some resistance group. She doesn't know anything more at the moment but she can guess that this man wants to know more and will try to stimulate her memories. At least for the present it seems to work as he lowers his hand with a look of astonishment on his face. The man Sam saw in her memories, Martouf, is switching so fast with his symbiote that she doesn't even know for a moment who was in charge of the two of them. 'You know Jolinar?', he whispers suddenly broken and tired. He sits down on his bed and looks at the woman at his feet. Sam remains on the floor trying to catch her breath which is refusing to come at the moment. 'Can't breathe', she manage to says and the next moment she is being carried to the glass doors leading onto some kind of shielded balcony. She finally manages to take a deep breath. 'Who are you? Did you say you are Tauri? How did you meet Jolinar? Where is she? Speak!'. The voice of the man has changed again. Where for one moment it sounded humanlike it's now back to the deep, seductive voice of the Goa'uld. Even is his angered state he manages to sound sexy and wanting. Sam leans against a stone statue and looks at the man in front of her. She knows this man. No, Jolinar knew this man. And they were more than friendly colleagues, they were more than friends, they were lovers. She remembers them from Jolinar. They are passionate about everything they undertake, but they wouldn't hurt someone who doesn't deserve to be hurt. Let alone the person who carries the last connection to their lovers. Suddenly the men in front of her (yes, she is thinking of them as plural) aren't as scary anymore and she takes a moment to get herself together and looks at him with a challenging look in her eyes. 'Who the hell do you think you are to ask me questions, you filthy snake?', she spews at him. 'If you are the boss around how come you didn't know what that collar would do to me?!' With a swift movement of her arms and positioning of her legs she gets his arm and pull the ribbon device of his hand. Without thinking she let her hand slip into the weapon and she raises it at him. 'Do you really think that is impressing me Tauri? You can't even use that weapon, so why don't you be a good slave and re…', The Goa'uld is interrupted when Sam snarls at him and the weapon shoots some kind of invisible blast towards the man standing in front of her. He ducks to one side and the blasts decimates a piece of art behind him. 'I'm no slave you parasite', she growls while she is aiming at him again. 'Now, take it easy', he says while in the meantime holding his hand up in front of him like he is trying to calm a wild animal. 'It would be a shame if you accidently manage to kill me, since there is an entire mothership full of loyal slaves and Jaffa between you and the rings. As a matter of fact you wouldn't be able to use the rings since we are traveling in hyperspace.' The soldier looks at him with weary eyes and prepares for any kind trick he might pull on her. The Goa'uld continues: 'Why don't we go back inside my chamber, get rid of the male slaves walking around there and talk. I have questions for you and you have questions for me. I think we can at least state one thing. Both our sides are fighting AGAINST the Goa'uld so it would be an awful shame to die now right?' Reluctantly Sam lowers her hand and follows the man back inside.

With everybody gone and only the Goa'uld around Sam relaxes a bit. 'My name is Martouf and let us begin as a sign of good faith', the man starts to speak while he is standing with his back towards the woman. 'Why did your voice…', Sam wants to ask, but the man just holds up his hand. He turns around sits on the opposite of the small table. 'We are part of a group called the Tok'ra. We fight the Goa'uld every chance we get because we think they are oppressing their hosts and want them to stop ruling over other planets as gods.' Sam has to bit her tongue to hold in any questions. 'My name is Martouf and I'm the willing host to my symbiote Lantash. We are operatives of the Tok'ra and are send on secret missions to infiltrate or sabotage the Goa'uld on many occasions. We are here posing as Lord Heka, the real Lord Heka was killed two weeks ago by us on his way to this mothership. We are gathering intelligence about the number of worlds under his ruling and how his allegiance lie with the System Lords. You were captured just after we took our position on board the ship so our advisor had been dealing with most of the work during those days. He placed the golden collar around your neck and it probably was to mask who you are and more important what you are. A former host to a very important symbiote from the resistance. You see, the symbiote leaves a small amount of naquadah behind in the blood of his of her host. We would have been able to pick up on that if the collar wouldn't have neutralized it. But since it's removed a few hours ago we are starting to feel your naquadah. Which bring us to our questions: who are you, how do you know Jolinar and where is she?'

'Well though my story isn't as impressive as yours let me try', Sam starts to tell her side of the past events. 'My name is Samantha Carter, I'm an Airforce captain currently working at Stargate Command. We discovered how to operate our Stargate a year of so back and have been on many missions and encountered the Goa'uld. Believe me we are NOT friends. A month ago I was trying to revive a man on a planet under attack by the Goa'uld, when another Goa'uld took possession of me. Her name was Jolinar. I wasn't open to any kind of understanding which in hindsight I perhaps should have had. She was trying to hide from an assassin who found her in the end despite our efforts to keep us safe. She eventually died saving my life.'
