Sequel to "Amy over the pond" when visiting scientist Sheldon meets up with Professor Amy Farrah Fowler at Cambridge University.

########################

Sheldon and Amy got married in June at the Cambridge Registry Office in a simple ceremony with only Raj and Anju as witnesses. Cambridge alumnus Raj and his wife were the only members of their Pasadena friends to come over to England for the wedding as Halley and Michael Wolowitz and Thomas Hofstadter were still in school. Later that day a wedding party was held at Wolfson College for all their University friends, Jane Gonzalez and some of Amy's former colleagues from King's College London came to the party.

The day after the wedding Sheldon and Amy flew across the pond for their honeymoon. They visited with Sheldon's family in Texas, including a trip to visit Sheldon's Meemaw in the nursing home. Then they flew to California for the second wedding party in Pasadena where a great time was had by all. This trip to California was a lot more enjoyable than their previous trip in January.

Sheldon and Amy had a week in California after the second wedding party. As he knew he was going to be spending an indefinite amount of time in England he boxed up some stuff in storage to be shipped to England. They both had a busmen's holidays at Caltech to discuss future collaboration, Sheldon was still formally employed by Caltech for 3 more months.

On the day Sheldon and Amy were due to fly home the whole gang (including children) went to 'The Cheesecake Factory' for a farewell lunch. Everyone said a few words at the end.

Raj "A long time ago I threatened Sheldon with a dirty sock. This brought the wonderful Amy into our lives. We were all sad when she moved away to England. Thanks to Sheldon for bringing her back into our lives. This old Cambridge man is jealous at where the two of you are going. Hope to see you soon either side of the pond."

Anju "It has been good to get acquainted with Amy in happier circumstances than in January, thanks for being so welcoming to us at your wedding in Cambridge. Good luck for the future."

Bernadette "After I met Howie I got to know and love the rest of his friends, it was especially good when Amy joined the group, another biologist with a Ph.D. Best wishes for your new life together in England but don't forget your friends in California."

Howard "When Raj and I set up a computer blind date for Sheldon I wasn't sure what I had done, but I think we can all agree it worked out great. Good luck to Sheldon and Amy, hope to see you both soon."

Penny "When I first met Amy I had never met anyone like her before. As I got to know her I wished I had got to know my Bestie years earlier. Good luck to Amy and Sheldon, I love you both."

Leonard "I knew one day we would all get together to celebrate the wedding of my friends Sheldon and Amy, I didn't think it would take this long but it has been worth the wait. Sheldon and Amy are going to try and keep in professional contact with Caltech, so hope to see you back here soon."

Amy "When Sheldon came back to Caltech last week to talk to Leonard and the rest of his Physics colleagues I did the same with my neuroscience colleagues. We are planning to keep in contact, some of my colleagues are coming to a big neuroscience conference in Cambridge next summer. Thank you all for welcoming me back home to California and hope to see you soon."

Sheldon "Cambridge University, the home of Isaac Newton, Paul Dirac and Stephen Hawking, I had no idea that I would become reacquainted with Amy in Cambridge. Thanks for suggesting me for the sabbatical Professor Hofstadter. Don't worry, we will be back, do you know what the winter weather is like in Cambridge! Thank you all for being so welcoming to the two of us on our honeymoon."

One hour later Leonard, Penny and Thomas dropped Sheldon and Amy off at LAX for the flight home. After final goodbye hugs they entered the airport Amy said

"So Professor Cooper, shall we go home and live happily ever after?..."
