The era of the Lord of the Underworld had recently ended. The kingdom in the sky was experiencing another period of peace after a diety war.

Hades had done much in his time that needed to be fixed after his end came.

The cities that the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, had destroyed with her reset bombs were still something to be dealt with as well.

The survivors had started new civilizations, along with more dedicated temples to gods and goddesses.

Pit, who had defeated Hades, had gained all of the human's respect and gratitude. Moreso like a celebrity amoung them and their cities.

With help from a few other gods, Medusa was resurrected again, after she had helped defeat Hades. The goddess of Darkness had less hatred in her, and was currently in a truse with the goddess of Light.

She had become more solemn, though still did have quite the attitude at times. As long as she could be left alone in the Underworld and do as she pleased without getting caught in more drama with the gods, the goddess would be alright.

Being the puppet of Hades made her want to be more isolated than before.

In Skyworld, however, things were just as busy as they had been since the war. The Centurions were going down to Earth and helping the Humans, along with the goddess herself helping out with what she could.

Rebuilding and helping the mortals had been the main focus to fix first.

In the past fortnight, the work was mostly done, especially with the cooperation of the nature goddess.

At the moment, it was relatively calm, the excess noise nothing but just that. It was almost hardly noticable.

The captain of the goddess' army had finally gotten a break from giving out orders to the Centurions, and was currently residing in the private gardens of his goddess.

His twin had gone off to Viridi's sanctum, mostly not wanting to get involved with much of anything.

Pit let out a sigh, the labor catching up to him, making his muscles feel weary after working all day. His voice was sore, tired from yelling out orders and acting serious rather than being his usual playful self.

The goddess spotted him relaxing, deciding to walk over to him. As to not startle him, she kept her pace light, keeping her voice gentle.

"Tired already, are you?"

The brunette perked up at the sound of her voice, opening his eyes to look at her, giving a little nod in response.

"My body aches all over..I could really go for a hot spring tight about now, Lady Palutena." He scratched his head some, rubbing his eyes to take away some of his weariness.

The goddess chuckled at his behavior, gaining some joy and relief from it. "Well, lucky for you then! We're just about done, so you can retire for the night if you wish, Pit."

At this, he perked up, hopping in his seat some. "Really? Have we really done that much work already? Hasn't it only been a few days since—"

"Try about two weeks." The goddess stood up, walking over and placing her hands on his shoulders. "And that's even more evidence that you should probably head to bed early tonight. You're getting delirious."

The angel was quick to deny the goddess' claim. "I am not delirious! I just- okay, you got me." Pit chuckled to himself, sighing softly. "You're right, Lady Palutena, I should head off to bed."

With that, the brunette stood up, giving a small bow to his goddess before leaving the garden.

The greenette went over to the border of the lot, looking out on the main city of Skyworld. It had changed quite a bit while they had worked to fix it.

But there was still something missing. The goddess felt it, though couldn't place what it was exactly.

It was a nagging feeling, one that kelt coming back to her even after she tried to push it to the back of her mind.

It felt it was almost that someone was missing.

It was empty. Practically.

If it weren't for the army of the goddess, her Centurions, the city in the sky was empty.
