The morning air was cool. It was a still breeze, just enough to feel against your cheek.

She had gotten out of bed later than usual today, the coolness if the air keeping her body weary. She didn't mind laying there for a few minutes more by that point, she was already late, was she not?

Though laying there was comfortable, the goddess rose from the confines of her blankets not long after.

She ran over to close the window she had open, as getting out from the warmth had made her shiver from the exposed skin.

Her room had a view of some of the islands of Skyworld, and she was able to see some Centurions out working or patrolling. That feeling came back to her as a lump in her throat. She hadn't thought of it much, since multiple wars had kept her occupied in the past years.

Palutena walked away from the window, changing into a more simple toga than usual. She didn't just want to watch her army work, but wanted to actually help herself.

Her powers were something she took for granted, though had always wanted to do things manually, with her own hands. They were much too delicate to do much before getting them a bit cut up, but she didn't mind.

She got herself ready, putting her hair up before heading out of her room for the day.

She would have to spend some time in her library later, as she had mostly forgotten the process of how to create an angel. Medusa had helped her in creating them before, so she wasn't sure if you could do it by herself.

Though she did remember it as being a very tedious process, and that she needed help from Aphrodite in giving them a sence of love and emotion.

The angel captain hadn't gotten out of bed as late as his patron goddess, which was almost a first for him. But Pit had gotten to starting his work fairly early.

He figured that Palutena had already gotten to work, though was a little suspicious when the usual morning greeting never came.

Pit ran out after eating a quick breakfast, mostly full of protein to get him through the first half of the day.

The Centurions were already working, having started, and mostly waiting for any significant change in order from their captain.

There wasn't much left to do in terms of fixing up Skyworld. With their combined effort, it had only taken a few weeks.

Looking at it head-on, you wouldn't think anything else needed to be done.

The damage of the Chaos Kin had also been easily cleaned in the beginning. At least after Pit had been restored in the rewind spring.

In only a few days, the city in the sky would be back to how it was before the Great War.

By noon, Palutena still hadn't been seen much throughout the temple. It was mostly assumed that the goddess was busy, which was a reaccuring event. A few times, she had tried to explain to Pit what all she did, but he could never fully understand the complicated subject.

The captain wasn't worried about Palutena, though, still kept his caution up. She was a social person by nature, therefore meaning it wasn't common that no one had seen her by noon.

Looking over the centurions wasn't the most entertaining thing, either, so Pit gave them commands that would hopefully leave them occupied for a few hours, and left for the interior of the temple.

Save for a few centurion kights on patrol through the halls, the temple was quiet, almost eerily so.

He thought where he might find his goddess, going to her study, and checking her scrying bowl. Odd. The last place he went to check was her library.

It wasn't the most common thing for her to be in there for so long, unless doing extended research on something.

Opening the door a crack, Pit peaked inside.

Inside, Palutena was pacing the side length of the wall, mumbling to herself and seemingly calculating things out in her mind. She seemed almost irritated in the way she was walking.

Little things like this, he could notice about his goddess. The way she flung her hair back over her shoulder, flipped through the pages, and the pace of her steps.

After a few minutes of watching her mumble things out to herself, Pit opened the door and walked in, not grabbing the attention of the other in any way.

He didn't catch much of what she was talking about, but heard something along the lines of feathers and laurel leaves.

"Uh, Lady Palutena?"

At the sound of another voice, the goddess almost jumped where she was standing, stopping to look up at him.

"Oh! Pit, it's you..I- sorry, did you need something?" The woman gave him an apologetic smile, fearing that he had asked her something, and wasn't listening.
