Chapter 2

I ran after Mia into the dark night.

"MIA STOP IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK," I shouted.

Mia fell on her knees in the mud. Suddenly someone wearing military gear came out of the nearby bushes. He had night vision goggles and a mask covering his face but his body language showed his confusion.

"Who the fuck are you?" I asked.

"I'm the BSAA agent," the agent said.

"PUT SOME CLOTHES ON PLEASE" yelled a scared neighbour behind me. I was naked!

I went back to the house. What a scandal, I was so angry. Alcina was gone and my night was ruined.

I put on a new yellow shirt, my jeans and shoes that were lying on the floor. As I left the bedroom I saw Mia and the BSAA agent entering the house.

Mia looked so mad. There was black makeup all over her face. Her angry face reminded me of that time at the Baker's house. The agent was standing nearby with his mask on. He had a GUN.

"Hey put the gun down", I said.

"Sorry sir, the situation is critical. We must wait for Chris," the agent said.

"Ethan, you bastard!" Mia cursed with anger.

"Ma'am I suggest you get some sleep," the agent said calmly.

"I CANT SLEEP THERE, THEY LEFT SEX JUICE ALL OVER THE BED! THIS IS ATROCIOUS!" Mia screamed.

I sensed her fury. She punched the table and the agent got a bit scared. I would probably sleep outside tonight.

Mia said in an angry tone "get the hell outta here, Ethan".

I went to the bedroom and quickly picked up a small bag. I grabbed some clothes and put them in the bag. Then I left the house.

The sky was clear. I walked under the moonlight to the main square and dropped myself on a bench. As I was sitting there I noticed someone at my side. It was Alcina!

She smiled and her red lipstick shined like a star in the galaxy.

"I'm sorry about what happened," she said with sadness in her voice.

"It's fine. I don't love Mia anymore. She is a bad person," I said.

"You can sleep in the castle, but only for tonight," Alcina said.

"Yes, please. I'll find a room somewhere else tomorrow"

We walked to the castle. It was gargantuan, with lots of towers. I saw some strange creatures flying around but that was probably something common in that part of the world. It was near Budapest after all, the land of myths.

Alcina walked elegantly as we entered the main hall. It was beautifully gothic. There was a fireplace nearby with some flames dancing in the dark. Alcina looked at me and smiled when she saw the fascination in my eyes.

She took me to the stairs and led me to a guest room in the upper floor. The castle was silent, only her footsteps echoed everywhere.

"This is it," Alcina said as she opened the door.

The room looked comfy, there was a big bed, a wardrobe and a small table with some chairs. A golden chandelier hang from the ceiling.

"Remember you must leave by morning," Alcina said.

"Yes, I won't forget" I said.

"Good night, my love"

Alcina kissed me and once again the strenght of her kiss astonished me. I tasted her mouth with my eyes closed, I wish it lasted forever.

What a night! I went to bed and closed my eyes. The wind was howling at the window. I heard some strange noises in the corridor. It was like if ghosts were shambling around. Slowly I started to fell asleep, my memories and dreams started to mix.

In the dead of night I had my eyes closed when I heard laughter cracking through the walls.

I started to feel dizzy in my sleep. I heard the buzzing sound of multiple insects around. Then I felt something wet and warm on my neck. At the same time someone grabbed my crotch. They giggled.

I tried to open my eyes but it was too hard. Was I poisoned or something? I could barely see anything. It wasn't only dark, my vision was distorted too. Moving my limbs proved to be too difficult.

Then I heard the door opening loudly.

"GET OUT!" commanded a powerful voice that shook my bones.

I saw some shadows moving fast. I couldn't see what was going on... so I fell asleep again.

The next morning I woke up early. I put on a yellow shirt, brown pants and shoes, and a nice watch. I took my bag and left the castle. It seemed to be empty, but I wasn't sure what the hell happened last night.

I went to the local Starbucks for a cup of coffee. Some clients were already there having breakfast and reading the newspapper.

I ordered my favourite coffee and paid with credit card. I sat next to a window, and started to drink happily. Suddenly I heard a helicopter flying low!

I ran outside and looked up to the sky. The helicopter stood there, then a rope ladder came down. In that moment I saw Chris descending like a hero. People were taking pics with their smartphones.

But Chris didn't look amused. He had a seriouys look on his face when he glanced at me.

"Ethan, we need to talk..."
