Chapter 7

MEG POV

(A/N wow, two movie references in a row, I swear this is the last time (for now). I don't own Sunflower, SMitSV or PJ. I do own that awesome prophecy though. I came up with that on the bus to school, while we could actually go to school.)

After Apollo/Lester had dissolved, everyone looked at Clarisse. "What?" She looked nonplussed. "I just go get a prophecy, find Eileithyia, come back here. Where's Rachel?" Meg waved in the direction of the woods.

"There's a cave near the lake, she'll probably be in there. I'll take you." Meg started walking out the door, but Clarisse stayed put and looked at Percy.

"Come on, sea buoy." (A/N Haha puns, I'm funny.) "You gonna come save your girl or what?" Percy took a breath.

"No. I'm sorry, Clarisse, but I made a promise to Annabeth. After Mt Tam, and Camp Jupiter, and Rome and Tartarus- I can't leave her. Not again." Clarisse didn't look surprised at the news. "Well then, take good care of her here. Meg, lead us to the Oracle." She walked out the door, followed by Chris. Before Meg could go with them, Percy grabbed her arm.

"Meg, go with them. Clarisse and I don't always get along, but she's one of my oldest friends. And I don't know what she would do if anything happened to Chris. Just keep them safe, please?" Looking into Percy's eyes, she found it impossible to say no.

"I will." And she walked out the door.

They heard the cave before they saw it. (A/N Headcanon that Rachel heard 'Sunflower' in some oracle-y daydream and made the track on her remixer. Also Post Malone is a child of Apollo, don't at me.) A base-boosted low-fi track, played out of surround sound speakers and a remixer, all blasting out of a small cave nestled in by the lake and covered with a purple curtain. Inside was nothing short of psychedelic. The walls were strewn with abstract combinations of colours, with various seemingly unrelated pictures hanging from the ceiling. From previous knowledge, Meg knew these to be visions of the future Rachel had seen in her dreams. The woman in question was humming along to the song as she painted a picture. "Rachel, you've got visitors." The redhead abruptly stopped humming and swung around in her chair.

"Sup. Gimme a second." She stood up and walked over to her desk with the remixer and tweaked a few knobs. Suddenly the music stopped, replaced with the white noise of a waterfall. "Sorry, music helps me think. What can I do for you?"

Clarisse cut in. "We ned a prophecy. I'm going to go find Eileithyia." Rachel tilted her head to the side for a second, considering the request, then her face went slack and she sank back into her chair. Green mist started to fill the room, and a whispery voice came out of nowhere.

Child of War, Electric spear-shatterer,

Take with you youth's son, and daughter of the forest masterer.

Go by land then 'cross sea, to water's child's living foe.

Do not despair, fight the dragon of old.

Rachel's eyes flashed green, the mist dissipated, and the cave returned to normal. The young Pythia sat up. So what'd she tell you? Dish." Charisse recounted the prophecy for Rachel. Chris barked a laugh.

"You're definitely the 'electric spear-shatterer.' How many have you broken now?" Charisse punched him in the shoulder.

"For the record, I've only broken two. Prissy broke the first one at capture the flag, then I stabbed the Lydian Drakon in the eye with Maimer. And you're not getting out of this either, 'Wolverine'. You're youth's son." Chris grinned.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Chris pulled Clarisse into a kiss, short but sweet. Rachel looked at them with interest.

"So I assume you'll be leaving at dawn?" Clarisse nodded.

"We still need to check in with some other friends, and figure out the prophecy with Chiron. Also, this is Friday. If memory serves, It's Capture-the-Flag night. Meg nodded, and Clarisse got a gleam in her eye, all talk of prophecies forgotten. "C'mon, let's go break in the newbies."
