Well, here we are! At the end of another story. This is just a short epilogue to finish off; not much to it, though.

Epilogue

2009

"Wow!" Lightning exclaimed. "Lots of great stories in such a small town!"

"I don't think we've even covered half of them", Sheriff informed him. "Just think what stories the Donovans and the Warszawskis would have if they were here right now."

"Do you know what happened to them?" eight-year-old Fudge wondered.

"I still hear from Katherine, Francis's wife, every now and then", Sarge piped up. "She's almost ninety now, but she seems to be doing well. Says her kids live all across the country. Most of 'em are parents now and I think a couple of them might even be grandparents now too."

"And last I heard, the Warszawski twins had retired from Broadway and were still living in New York City", Lizzie piped up. "Neither of them ever married or had children."

"Well, it was quite fun to look back on these memories!" Flo remarked.

"Yeah", everyone agreed.

"Even looking at the hard times, it's good", Flo went on. "We can remember that we got through it."

"True", Sarge agreed.

"Yeah, I mean, Luigi was so mad about Fudge's first Christmas for a long time", Ramone pointed out. "But looking back on it now, it's pretty funny!"

Luigi tried to look annoyed, but it was clear that he was amused, recalling Fudge's first Christmas.

"And nobody's mad at Stickers for ruining the road anymore", Sally chimed in.

"It was funny how scared you were when you were dragging the Stanley statue!" Fudge shouted, laughing hysterically. The little girl almost never realised that she was shouting. "You were like..." She imitated his scream. "And you did it again when you fell into the cacti!" She did another scream.

Lightning had the same look on his face that Luigi had just had: trying to look annoyed, but he was grinning. Everyone in town liked to tease him about it every once in a while, but that was okay. He deserved it. Besides, there was no hostility in it. In fact, the way they joked with him made him feel like part of the Radiator Springs family. And that was not a bad place to be. Not bad at all.

"I'm sure Stanley would be proud if he could see the town today", Lizzie declared wistfully.

Everyone fell silent, thinking about Stanley once again. If he hadn't broken down here one hundred years ago (to the day), none of those wonderful stories would have ever happened. They wouldn't even be together, like they were right now. It was amazing how something so small had such a powerful impact on all of them.

They all gave silent thanks to Stanley for founding Radiator Springs and for providing them all with the best home and family any of them could have ever hoped for.

"Well, I can't wait to see what other stories we'll have to tell in the future!" Lightning proclaimed finally.

"Yeah!" Fudge agreed excitedly.

"That's why I'd like to propose a toast", Doc began as Flo filled the glasses. "To the future!"

"To the future!"

Nobody knew what the future held, but they were all excited for it. As long as they were all together, how could they lose?

"I guess there's just one thing left to do now!" Ramone announced.

"What's that?" Lightning wondered.

Ramone grinned from headlight to headlight. "Watch Sarge's karaoke video!"

Yeah, it's short, but I didn't really know what to put. Besides, it didn't seem necessary to make it super long.

In case you don't know, Radiator Springs was founded in 1909. I think I've heard some sources say on the ninth of May. Even though I'm not sure if that's legitimate, I just decided to go with that.

So, yeah. This story is officially finished. Let me know which one was your favourite.
