I've been in the air for a while now. I managed to get above the cloud line, but my wings are sore as heck now. I definitely need to exercise them when I get a chance. However none of that matters to me at the moment, because. "I'm flying! I'm actually flying! WHOHOOO!!" I'm ecstatic! I'm flying and as a dragon! I would say this is the best thing that has ever happened to me! Except… I had to leave everything behind... I got to say goodbye, but it's going to hurt for a while. For now though I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. I don't know if or when I might be captured or just outright killed so I want to enjoy this the best I can. And I really don't wanna see how impenetrable dragon scales are anyway. So I close my eyes for a bit just to enjoy the experience, then I remembered that I was heading north, but am I still heading north? I look around to spot the sun and to my disappointment, it's right above me… wait I got out of school after noon, then I left my house shortly after that. The sun shouldn't be above me… oh no. Somewhere along the line I turned west without noticing. I begin to lower myself below the clouds to get a look below me…. great. All I could see was blue. I was above the ocean, but strangely, I don't want to turn around and go back. I don't know if my wings will hold out that long but I must be going this way for a reason if my instincts turned me this way and besides I'm moving pretty fast since I'm not only keeping up with the sun but I also caught up to it. So I resolve myself to keep going. I must want to go this way for a reason and if I keep this speed up I should reach some form of land no problem.

After what felt like several hours of flying and several possible islands to land on I finally came across what I would assume to be the Midway Islands so I forced myself to land. Something was telling me to keep going but I put my foot down, I mean paw. That's going to take some getting used to. I resisted the urge to keep going, if I keep going then Ill end up too tired to do anything when I get to where ever I'm going. Call it paranoia but I don't think where I'm going is some picnic. And I don't really feel like dying any time soon so I'm not taking any chances.

So... Now to take care of the real problem, my stomach. I'm by a military base and I need food. How am I gonna get it, without getting caught… I guess I'll just have to take my chances and try and hunt for something. I head off into the foliage of the island to try and find anything I can.

I searched the island for a couple of hours until I decide to give it a rest and stop *hunting*. I found various fruits and other edible foods so I'm not gonna die but I was hoping for some meat. I got some basic survival training from my dad since he was in the military so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. The nearby base probably just cleared all of the nearby islands for various safety reasons. So I guess I'll just have to deal with it and try to get some sleep.

The next morning I woke up a little sore, it was my own fault though. I had found a cave on the island. The entrance was covered in vines so it was relatively hidden but the cave was dark and I wasn't willing to try and explore it. So I just curled up by the entrance and hunkered down. But that means I was not only sleeping in the cold but on vines. That's the most uncomfortable I've been in a long time. So, again, I just gotta deal with it. That's already getting old, I don't want to live like this. I can't just give in, so I get up and stretch out the best I can.

It felt weird, I could actually flex my wings and tail with ease. It was like I had always had them. I guess it just goes to show you how amazing the brain is. I sit there for a while just moving my tail and wings around mesmerized by my own movements. So much so that I almost didn't notice the movement to my left. I pay attention to it with my peripherals to keep it from reacting to my eye contact. I now that my life may be in danger but I want to test my other senses to see what exactly I can do. So while keeping my eyes on my wings and my tail I listen and smell, but what I smell scares me, because I smell gunpowder. I glance to where it's coming from and at what I can guess to be about 50 yards away. There was a soldier and they were pointing a gun right at me. I bolt as fast as I can. Right as a bullet whizzed right through where my head was. I need to get out of here ASAP! I take off to the sky again as soon as I get the chance. I'm under fire now and I'm desperately trying to evade. There are now several soldiers shooting at me and I'm sure this is the end of me, but then a bullet actually hits me and it deflects right off, am I safe then? Then another one hits me right in the crook of my rear leg and it pierces. I roar out in pain and keep on going as fast as I can manage.

I get back on course again trying to get wherever I'm going as fast as I can. My leg is bleeding and I can't fold it back up so I'm definitely slower than before. Of course though, it gets worse, I'm being followed. Theres a least one fighter jet behind me. I can hear the engine sound behind me, but I dare not look back. I try to pick up speed to stay out of range and to possibly get out of the operating range they are allowed to fly in around their base. There is just one problem with that. Even if I do manage to out run them, there is no way they haven't called ahead to ambush me in the sky. Then why are they chasing me then if I'm gonna run into another group…. It's like they are just trying to keep an eye on me...hmmm...Wait! That's it! They can't see me on radar so they have to keep a visual to confirm my location. That means I have to ditch these two before I run into more or I'm done for. I really doubt that my scales can hold back high caliber rounds let alone missiles. I try to bring my leg up again to give myself more aerodynamics. It hurts like hell but I have to if I want to get away. I begin picking up speed and I'm not sure but I think I broke the sound barrier, because all of a sudden, I got exponentially faster and I couldn't hear anything anymore.

After flying at extreme speeds for what felt like forever, but was actually only a few minutes, I slowed down. I look around and see nothing around me at all except for the ground below. I still don't know how I went that fast, a peregrine falcon can't even do that in a full on dive. I'm curious at what all I can do now. It would seem I've flown over most of Asia now and I still haven't gotten to where I was going. If it's much further I would wonder why I didn't go east instead of west if it wasn't for the fact that the U.S. military would definitely have caught me if I flew across the states, so I guess this was the best idea. Also the communication between America and most of Asia isn't exactly the best so it makes sense that there wouldn't be enough cooperation to catch me but how would my instincts know all that. Could my subconscious have a hand in this, I mean my body changed maybe my brain did too.

'It's not so complicated'

"What in the!?"

I must be going crazy, I could have sworn I had heard someone whispering in my head.

'Don't be so surprised. Do you really think you could have just existed without some form of greater being taking notice.'

"Wait… What?" Why would a great being take interest in me

'Your people believe there is a god correct?'

"...yes"I'm hesitant to talk to the voice in my head.

'I can tell what you're thinking right now and no I'm not some random voice in your head and no I can't read your thoughts I can only get a feeling on what you're thinking.'

"Well that answers most of my questions, so can I assume you're the one leading me?"

'Yes I am'

"Ok...where are you leading me then?"

'Do you know about Stonehenge?'

"Yes, but why are you leading me there?"

'Because you need to leave this world if you wish to be happy and Stonehenge is the easiest place for me to do that for you.'

"Why are you doing this for me?"

'Quite frankly, I don't want you here.'

"Then why should I trust you then! you could just be trying to kill me."

'Don't be daft. If I wanted you dead I could have done away with you a long time ago and since I don't want you dead, but also need you gone, my only option left is to move you somewhere else.'

"So, like, are you just going to send me to another world?"

'Yes'

"Ok, but if I may ask. Why do you need me to leave here?"

'It's nothing personal, it's just that you throw off the balance of power in this world too much. You literally turned yourself into a dragon with just your mind. If you were to develop more power. The world powers will develop differently than they were supposed to.'

"Ok, I think I understand. My presence will cause a very different outcome in our evolution. Right?"

'Yes, now get moving. you don't have much time before the airforce catches up with you'

I've got my doubts, but I really don't have very many options if I'm going to be hunted the entire time I'm alive. So I start moving again to my destination…. Stonehenge.

I fly on at a relatively quick pace. My mind is racing, how did I turn myself into a dragon. Will I get to see my family again…. I need to survive. That's what they would want, they would want me to live. Then my mind wanders back to the fact that I'm a dragon. I'm getting the chance to live my dream, I can't waste even a second of it. What if I can't do it...

After maybe an hour Stonehenge comes into view. landing is gonna be a bitch, but I do it anyway and hot damn it hurt. That damn bullet is still in my leg. At least I've got three others to walk on. So I wander around. It looks just as good here as it does in the books. It makes me wonder what it's truly for. Many have believed that it was used for rituals or for reading the stars. But now I'm starting to believe it's a portal how else is this *being* going to send me to another world from here

'I see you have arrived. How are you?'

"Considering I'm being hunted and I've been shot, I'm doing pretty good. So where are you? Why can't I see you?"

'Well at least you're not dead… and to answer your question, I don't have a corporeal form. Anyway, let me fix that for you.'

The bullet then slides out of my back leg, it was a weird sensation and it didn't even hurt. It reassures me a little to the fact that this being has this much power and they aren't using it to hurt me. I can feel my leg starting to heal when it asked me a question.

'So, where do you want to go?'

"Excuse me!?"

'What? did you think I was just going to send you to a place that you didn't know?'

"Kinda actually, besides, I haven't been to any other realities as far as I know."

'No you haven't, but you have looked into other realities'

"How?"

'Movies, video games, books, you name it. Every form of imagination is insight on a potential reality'

"Oh ya, the multiverse theory."

'So, where do you want to go?'

"Well, let's see…."
