"Afterwards, we can go explore another part of the museum, if you want, Laura."
Laura nodded as she paid for the tickets for the two to enter the museum. She gave me my ticket and I liked the way that our fingers had touched. Even if it was for a small moment, it was a moment that I wanted to keep going longer.
She blushed when our hands touched and all I could do was smile at her.

I love Carmilla's smile and when I was by myself in the apartment, I would dream of her smile. It was very comforting to see that she was smiling once more. She was so beautiful and even more so when she smiled at me.
I held out my hand and waited to see if she would take it.

I looked down at Laura's hand that she held out and I wanted to hold onto it so badly, but I was unsure of doing so. I looked up into her eyes and then held onto her hand.

I loved the way that Carmilla had given into me and held onto my hand. She squeezed it gently and I smiled brighter. I had missed this, I had missed her, and everything that we had shared together.

As I held onto Laura's hand and entered the exhibit, she was racing towards a painting that had caught her eye. I wasn't very familiar with modern art, but she was speaking at such a rapid pace about the painting and I had to keep up with her enthusiasm.
"...And he also made other paintings, but this one is my favorite! Can you see the detail that shows the Devil himself when you look close enough?"
She leaned in closer and pointed to the Devil that had a smirk on his face. He looked more like a man than the traditional-looking Devil.
"I'm surprised that he's not wearing leather. It's not easy to pull off."
"You pull it off, Carm."
"Of course I do." I said confidently with a wink.
"Show off." Laura muttered.

I went back to telling her more about the painting and Carmilla did seem very interested in it.
"You should work here, Laura. I think you'd get a real kick out of it."
"Very funny, Carm."
"I'm serious. I really think your enthusiasm is what's needed here or else it'd be a bore fest."
"You just like listening to my voice."
"Guilty."

Laura had decided to go to another section of the exhibit where they showed off fashion from the 1850s to present day. She kept asking me what I wore throughout my life time and how I eventually decided to go with leather.
"Well, it's much comfier than what I had worn in the past and it isn't constricting either. I mean, it hugs all the right parts too."
Laura was blushing when I had said that and all I could do was smirk at her.
"I wish I could pull it off."
"I bet you could, Creampuff."

I don't know why we were talking about Carmilla and her love for leather, but we were. I was doing my best to not have my eyes linger too long on her leather pants that she was wearing. It looked more like those leather pants were glued onto her.
"As I was saying, I think we should put some of his paintings in our place."
I sighed when I forgot that Carmilla hadn't been living in our apartment for a while.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say that."
"It's okay Laura, I understand what you mean. I think it would look lovely in the apartment too."
I'd prefer Carmilla in my apartment because to me, she was a work of art.
"I can't do this anymore, Carmilla."
"You can't do what?"
"Act all casual with you."
She pulled me closer to her.
"How's this for casual?"
Carmilla leaned in and waited for me to make my move, which I did.
When our lips touched, it was like fireworks had gone off. Everything that had happened to us, the good and the bad, was coming full circle. It was the kiss that made me realize how much I really do love Carmilla Karnstein, the vampire that won me over all those years ago.
