"How much time do you think has passed?" Wrath asked his companion.

"Hmm. Hard to say. Impossible to tell being in here," Havo responded with a shrug as they continued walking.

"Why do you think Rapunzel gave us a time limit? What happens if we don't make it back before then?" Wrath pondered aloud.

"Maybe we get locked in here forever?" Havo answered. They exchanged a glance before chuckling nervously.

They walked in silence for a few minutes before Havo broke the silence. "You feeling anything?" he asked.

Wrath hummed, staring straight down the tunnel they were going. "I'm definitely feeling a pull. I'm sure I'm heading the right way."

Havo didn't say anything. He frowned as she kept his gaze planted squarely ahead.

Wrath glanced over, feeling an air of tension or perhaps unease from his friend. "You ok Havo?" he inquired.

"I'm good," Havo replied bluntly.

"You sure?" Wrath pressed.

"Yes!" Havo responded curtly.

"Alright man sorry," Wrath said as he backed off. Though he sensed his friend's answer wasn't entirely truthful.

"You just seem a bit-" Wrath began before he was abruptly cut off as he took another step forward. As he planted his foot the floor gave a loud crack before giving out beneath him.

"DISTRACTED!" Wrath shouted as he fell through the floor.

Havo had leapt back on reflex as the floor gave before immediately peering into the hole to check on the wellbeing of his friend. "Wrath! You ok?!" he shouted.

Thankfully the hole wasn't that deep. Wrath groaned and rubbed his head as he picked himself up from the rubble. He rubbed at some sore spots he was sure to have later but was fairly certain he was no worse for wear.

"Yeah I'm good," he said. Suddenly he paused as a sound filled his ears. A light before him began to shine before his eyes. He was immediately entranced as he began to walk towards it.

"Wrath?" he called down as his friend disappeared from view. After he got no response he leapt down. "Hey," he called out at his friend's back. His friend turned, a shining green light in his hand that lit up the tunnel.

Wrath smiled as he stared at his crystals and listened to its wonderful song. His crystal was forest green in color and a twin crystal. The two termination made a "V" like shape.

"Whoa!" Havo whispered in awe as he approached. "You found your crystal."

"Yeah. It was just sitting here in a rock formation," Wrath said, gesturing to a small formation of stones from which he'd plucked his crystal.

"I guess the Force led you to it."

"I guess so. Wish it'd been a bit gentler," Wrath said with a small laugh.

"I guess that means you're done," Havo said as he brushed by his friend.

"I guess?" Wrath said with a raised brow.

"You should head back," Havo continued as he made to leave.

"Or I could stay. Maybe give you a hand," Wrath offered.

"No. I don't need your help."

"Ok, what's going on with you man?" Wrath asked as he pocketed his crystal. "I noticed you seem...distressed...worried? What's wrong?"

Havo stood there with his back to him, fists clenching and unclenching at his side as he tried to suppress his emotions.

"C'mon Havo, whats up?" Wrath pressed.

Havolian gave a sigh as the tension left his shoulders. He hung his head in defeat before finally speaking. "I'm just not feeling too sure of myself," he admitted.

Wrath arched a brow, his friend's admission very out of character. Havolian was one of the most confident and self assured people he'd ever met. He bordered on being downright arrogant sometimes.

"Why?"

"I was sure I'd picked the right path at first. But now I'm not sensing anything. I thought it'd come back if we kept going but now…" Havo said before turning around. "It might be too late to turn back. I just don't know if I have the time and it's making me worried."

"Yeah. I can understand that," Wrath said with a nod. He took a step closer and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "I'm sure it's fine Havo. Your instincts led you down this tunnel. I'm sure the Force is guiding you. So let's go just a little bit further and if we don't find anything we can discuss a different plan of action."

Havo smiled in thanks and nodded. "Yeah. Thanks man."

With that Havo turned and continued on with Wrath following close behind. They walked in silence for an unknown amount of time before spying a faint light ahead of them. Feeling on the right track they increased their pace before reaching the end of the tunnel and emerging into a large spacious cavern.

They both looked up to the source of light illuminating the cavern. It was a large crystal cluster perched on a high ledge on the other side of the cavern. Its green glow illuminated the space.

Havo and Wrath gawked at it in awe before a smile split Havo's face. "My crystal must be up there," Havo said happily.

Wrath blinked and cocked his head, "You sure?"

"Definitely," Havo said with a nod. This must have been what the Force had wanted him to find. How much more of a hint did he need? "Let's go," he said as he began to walk forward.

They took a few steps before Havo froze as he felt the ground under his feet shift. He looked down to see cracks in the ground where his feet were.

"Careful," Wrath said just behind him. His attention was also on the ground where she spied a set of cracks around his own feet. "Ground feels unstable. Might cave in on us."

"Yeah. Go slow," Havo said lowly.

With slow and careful steps the two younglings made their way across the cavern, shifting their attention between their destination and their path. There were a few heart stopping moments when they would hear and feel the ground shift beneath, followed by them freezing in place, remaining stock still and hoping they didn't suddenly go plummeting to unknown depths.

Soon enough they were before the far wall. They stood before it and looked up, craning their neck and narrowing their eyes as they tried to discern just how high up the crystal cluster.

"Well can't jump it," Wrath said.

"Nope," Havo agreed. "Not all the way at least," he added as he noted the various ledges he could make out that may provide him just enough space to land.

"I'd have to climb part of the way but I think I could do it," Havo said as he started to psych himself up. He began planning his ascension.

"I guess I'll-" Wrath began.

"Just stay here man," Havo interjected. "This is my crystal. So it's gotta be me."

"Alright. Good luck then."

With a nod and a deep breath through the nose Havo bent his legs and tensed his muscles. Then he leapt. He made a near dozen foot jump to land on a narrow ledge. From there he made a small jump to his left while reaching out with his left hand and managing to find a hand hold. He brought his right hand up and found a place to hold onto. Then he brought his hips closer to the wall before finding places to plant his feet. He took a moment, making sure he was secure before continuing.

Wrath watched from below, only slightly nervous as his friend scaled the wall barehanded. He might have been more worried had Havo not had the Force. But since he did he knew that even if Havo fell he wasn't likely to die. Therefore there wasn't much need to worry.

As Havo pulled his body upward and reached out to place his left hand in a new spot his hand hold crumbled. He let out a startled yell as he dropped down but managed to grab onto the wall to stop his fall.

Wrath flinched in fear as he saw his friend almost go plummeting down but then released a sigh of relief as he caught himself almost immediately after. But the piece of the wall Havo had inadvertently pulled off went falling to the floor just before Wrath's feet.

As they hit the ground it caved under the force of their impact. Wrath scrambled back a few feet as a gaping hole opened up in the floor. He stared down into the darkness below and gulped nervously.

He looked up to his friend and shouted out a warning, "Be careful Havo!"

"Yeah. I got it," Havo said as he continued his ascent. His progress was slow but steady. He was careful and calculating, but the cliff face was treacherous and crumbling as he went.

More and more rocks fell as he climbed. On the ground Wrath had taken action to prevent them from losing their safe purchase. His hands were out and his eyes narrowed in concentration as he caught the falling rocks with the Force, keeping them from crashing into the floor and causing the gap to spread.

He opted to not tell Havo what he was dealing with below, not wanting to distract him and risk his safety. He slowly moved the rocks, spreading them out along the floor and setting them down as gently as possible while guiding the ones small enough to fit in the hole to it.

Havo kept up his ascent, thankful he hadn't had another close call and that he was almost at his destination.

He was against the wall at the moment but had his next spot picked out. There was a ledge that looked big enough for him to stand on. From there it looked like he could jump to another ledge higher up. So with a breath and some mental calculation he prepared to launch his body.

He took a moment and gave himself a countdown in head before tensing his muscles and pushing off against the wall. He quickly turned his upper body and reached out with his both hands. His hands caught the ledge and found purchase. He dangled there for a minute as he gathered the strength to pull himself up.

With some effort and struggle he hauled himself up, getting his upper body over before swinging a leg up before rolling safely onto it.

He took a moment to breath before getting up. He looked at his hands and grimaced. They looked a little ragged. Climbing barehanded hadn't been the smartest thing to do. But in his defense he hadn't been prepared to scale a wall of this height.

With a sigh he rubbed them on his clothes to get the dust, sweat, and bits of rock off them as he assessed his next spot. It looked to be at least a 20 foot jump. It was doable. But just barely.

"Alright," he muttered quietly as he rubbed his hands together. He took a few breaths to calm his nerves as he kept his gaze on the ledge. "Almost there. Just one more big leap," he said to himself.

He bent his legs and tensed his muscles and leapt. The Force bolstered his jump and he sailed through the air, high enough to land safely on the ledge. He smiled but before he could celebrate he heard a loud crack. He looked down and toward where the ledge connected with the cliff wall to see a crack had formed.

His purchase began to crumble from underneath him. He lifted his foot just as the rock beneath it crumbled away.

Knowing he couldn't afford to stay where he was for much longer he turned to the cliff face and jumped to it. He reached out and found hands and footholds. He held on tight as the ledge beneath him crumbled and went tumbling down.

"Wrath heads up!" he shouted down in warning.

Wrath took his attention from the rocks he'd been trying to set down and looked up. His eyes widened as he witnessed the larger chunks of rock come barreling down the cliff. They hit the cliff face on their way down, causing more to break away.

Soon enough he was staring at a full on rockslide.

He immediately dropped the rocks he'd been focusing on and focused on huge ones about to rain down on him. He had both hands raised and he shut his eyes and focused.

Meanwhile Havo kept climbing, getting ever closer to his goal. He paused to look down and check on his friend and gasped.

"Wow," he muttered.

Below all the rocks were hovering in the air. Suspended feet off the ground as Wrath focused and channeled as much power and will as he could muster. He told himself this was no different than their training exercises. It was the same. So if he could do it then he could surely do it now.

"Wrath! You ok?!" Havo called down in concern.

Wrath kept his eyes screwed shut as he tried to keep his concentration. "Yeah!" he managed to get out. "Just hurry!"

Havo didn't need to respond. He turned his attention back up and resumed climbing.

Wrath's arms and hand were starting to tremble and the veins along the side of his head were bulging from the effort. This was more weight than he'd ever lifted. Easily a few tons of rock he alone was keeping off the ground. It was straining, taking its toll as he began to feel the energy leaving his body.

He gradually began to sag toward the ground. He fell to his knees. Then he dropped one of his arms as he used it to try to hold himself up. He grunted as he tried to concentrate more. To exert more power, to squeeze out anything he could manage.

His remaining arm trembled as he opened his eyes and looked up to see his friend still climbing. Almost at the top but still not quite there yet. If he could only hold out a little more.

But with a gasp he brought his arms down. Too exhausted to keep it raised. With its fall so did the remnants of his mental energy and his exertion on the rocks.

The stones hung in the air for a fraction of a second as the force keeping them suspended dwindled and ten disappeared altogether. Then gravity took hold as they came crashing down.

Wrath could only watch as the rocks collided with the ground and smashed through it. They opened up gaping holes in the floor and shook the cavern.

With a yell Wrath rolled out of the way as he narrowly avoided being crushed underneath one. All around the flood began to crumble away and the tremors from the shaking cavern caused the ceiling and the cavern wall to start breaking apart and collapsing.

The floor underneath him too fell away and he let out a shout.

Higher up Havo had just managed to pull himself over the ledge that held the crystal cluster. He got up quickly as he stared at the multitude of crystals. He smiled despite the current situation, for he managed to succeed.

He was about to take a step toward it when he heard his friend shout. He froze before whirling around and peering down below. His eyes widened as he saw his friend hanging by one hand on the edge of the floor before the cliff wall.

Wrath struggled to pull himself up. Feet swinging and scrabbling for purchase. He was too drained of mental energy from his earlier feats to call upon the Force, not to mention far too panicked given everything quite literally crumbling around him.

His hand tried to find a suitable point where he could latch on and pull himself up but the stone floor kept giving way around him as he clung on desperately.

Above Havo watched, knowing he couldn't spare a second to help his friend...and yet…

He glanced back at the crystals, knowing that if went down to help he wouldn't be able to get back up. He would essentially fail his test.

He'd only have time to get to one and risk losing the other forever.

He had to choose. His crystal or his comrade. His test or his best friend.

Below Wrath was still dangling. Worse he could feel the instability in the point his right had latched onto. The only thing keeping him from falling into the abyss below. He could feel the rocks shifting and loosening. Threatening to send him to his doom.

A moment later his worst fears were realized as the floor crumbled away. His stomach dropped as gravity grabbed at him and pulled him down.

But he fell for only a moment. For no sooner had gravity tried to drag him down a hand caught his wrist and stopped his fall.

He looked into the eyes of his best friend as a wave of relief washed through him.

"I got you Wrath," Havo said firmly. With a smile Wrath reached his other hand up and to grab his friend's forearm. With gritted teeth Havo began. Through their combined efforts they managed to pull him to safety.

"Oh man! Thanks buddy. I own you one," Wrath said as he and his friend stood safely back on solid ground.

Havo smiled and nodded before looking to the ground beneath their feet as it trembled. They both leapt back as it gave away, leaving them with barely any space to stand as the ceiling and cavern were still crashing down around them.

"There's nowhere to go," Wrath said in panic.

"The only way is back where we came," Havo said as he looked to the only remaining ground near the entrance to the cavern.

"It's too far. No way we'll make that jump," Wrath said as he assessed the distance.

Havo mentally agreed. Even in the best situation the gap had become too large and there was nothing to jump to in between. Still, it was their only hope.

"I have an idea," Havo said, thinking quickly.

"All ears."

"You jump first. Far as you can. I'll give you a push. Then I'll jump and you'll pull me," Havo explained.

"That's your plan?" Wrath asked incredulously.

Havo shrugged. "It's all I got," he responded simply. .

The two of them were forced to jump back again as more of their platform crumbled. Now their backs were nearly against the wall. They looked to each other before looking over to the safety of the cavern entrance.

Wrath sighed in defeat. "Alright."

With nods they got ready. They focused and centered themselves. Getting ready to call on the Force for this daring maneuver. Havo had to be careful. If he didn't give his friend a hard enough push he wouldn't clear the distance and would fall to his death. But if pushed too hard he might severely hurt him. Maybe even kill him.

"Alright I'm ready," Wrath chimed in.

Havo nodded. Wrath took a breath and one last moment taking a step and then leaping as far as he could. It was an impressive jump. Almost 30 feet, bolstered by the despratio of their situation. But still nowhere near the distance he'd need to land safely on the other side.

While Wrath was at the height of his jump Havo thrust both his hands forward in a great push. A moment later Wrath felt a great force push him farther. He gave a yelp as he accelerated through the air, coming up on his destination quickly.

As he neared he prepared himself. He oriented his body to land on his heel with his hands out in front of him. He tucked his chin in and pulled his shoulder forward as he rolled to disperse the impact. He got up a moment later and quickly inspected himself to find he was fine.

He then ran to the edge and looked to his friend. "C'mon!" he shouted. He saw his friend nod and get ready. He prepared himself too, hands at the ready.

He watched as Havo took a step back and then forward before leaping. He waited until he was at the height of his jump before focusing on his friend's body and then pulling his hands back to draw him forward.

Like himself his friend accelerated toward him. He quickly took a step back and to the side as Havo landed and rolled to disperse the impact. Wrath ran to him as the other boy inspected himself.

"You good?" the Zabrak asked.

"Yeah. I think so," Havo said with one last look.

"Good. NOW RUN!" Wrath shouted as the cavern was still collapsing around them.

They both bolted toward the entrance as more and more rocks fell around them. The mountain trembled as they rushed toward the exit. They had to weave around falling rocks and leap over gaps opening up in the floor and continuosuly jerk and duck their heads down to avoid a painful impact to their skulls.

But with one last sprint they burst through the entrance and back down the tunnel they'd come right before it became blocked off by giant rocks.

The boys took a moment to rest, panting as they stared in the direction of their would be graves.

Then with breaths of relief they looked to each other and smiled at the thankfulness of having come out alive.

"Thanks man," Wrath said with gratitude.

"Yeah. You too," Havo said back. "Come on. Time to head back," he said as he turned to start making their way back to their comrades.

"Right," Wrath said before something occurred to him. "Oh wait. Your crystal. Did you get it?" he asked curiously.

Havo looked to him and gave a dejected smile. "Didn't get my chance."

Wrath's eyes widened. "Dude...what...no," he said in shock. "We can find you another. I'll help you…"

"It's over man," Havo interrupted. "Let's just head back."

"But you'll fail," Wrath pointed out.

"Yeah...but I'll have saved you. So...that's pretty good if you ask me," Havo said with a light laugh and a happy smile. Before Wrath could say anything, "Come on. Race you back!" he said before he took off running.

His friend shouted after him as he fell into step behind him. Havo just smiled as he glanced back. Glad he hadn't lost someone else he cared about that day.

Eventually the boys were walking up to the doors to the entrance to the mountains. They were silent as Wrath kept glancing at his Sephi friend. He felt guilty that his friend hadn't gotten his crystal. All so he could save him.

He felt it was unfair to Havo. Havo was a great Jedi in the making. The most skilled fighter in their group. He didn't deserve to fail.

Yet strangely enough Havo seemed unbothered.

His thoughts were interrupted as they reached the door. They stared at it. Not sure what to do.

"So are we trapped here forever?" Havo asked aloud.

"Maybe."

They contemplated what they should do before with a creak the doors began to move. They stood there as the doors split apart to reveal Rapunzel and their friends waiting on the other side.

They walked up to the Padawan as she smiled at them.

"There you two are," Rapunzel said as she looked them over. "I sensed some trouble. Are you two ok?"

"We're fine Padawan Rapunzel," Havo responded.

"Good. It took you two a while though. You're late."

"Sorry," Wrath said. He arched a brow in question, "Actually. Why was it so important we get back in two hours?"

"Yeah I was wondering about that too. I was starting to think we were going to be locked in there or something," Havo added.

Rapunzel laughed. "Of course you weren't going to be locked in there sillies."

"So why the time limit?" Wrath asked again.

"So you wouldn't miss lunch," Rapunzel stated plainly.

The two of them blinked in surprise at the very simple reason.

"I see we're just in time then," came a voice. Everyone looked to see Hiccup and Elsa entering the sacred site.

Rapunzel greeted the two knights with a bow. "Masters," she said in welcome.

The knights nodded and looked to the younglings. "Greetings younglings," Elsa said. "Show us how you've all fared."

With eager smiles all save Wrath and Havo pulled out their crystals and presented them to the knights. The knights smiled proudly. As they looked to the crystals.

"Excellent work younglings," Hiccup said with pride.

Then he looked to Wrath and Havo and noticed they hadn't presented any crystals. Elsa noticed too. The knights walked up to the pair to stand before them.

"Well?" Hiccup began. "Wrath. Havo. Do you have any crystals to show?"

Havo released a breath through the nose and swallowed deep. He took a step forward to speak. "No Masters," he answered honestly.

The others were surprised. Some silently gasped.

"Is that so?" Elsa asked, prodding to get him to elaborate.

"Yes Masters. Things happened. I couldn't get my crystal. I...failed," Havo explained. He tried his best to hide his dismay, but he knew it was probably written all over his face.

The knights stared as he hung his head. He didn't want to meet their eyes. He didn't want to have to see their disappointment.

"That's not true."

The knights and Havo looked to Wrath in question. He stepped forward before pulling his crystal from his pocket. "He does have a crystal," he said.

Havo furrowed his brows in confusion before Wrath held his crystal out to him. Havo stared as it rested in his palm before it clicked.

"What?! No!" Havo said in rejection.

"Yes. I wouldn't be alive right now if you hadn't saved me," Wrath pressed. "Hell, I've only gotten this far because of you. So here."

"I'm not taking it," Havo said as he shook his head.

"You don't deserve to fail because of me," Wrath retorted as he continued to offer his crystal to his friend.

"No."

"Yes."

"No!"

"Yes!"

Everyone watched, heads turning back and forth as the two younglings repeated this process. One trying to offer his crystal and the other taking it. Both determined to hold their ground.

It would seem like their standoff would have gone on forever.

But they were interrupted.

Suddenly Wrath's crystal began to glow in his hand and it began to sing. Wrath looked down to his palm in surprise.

Havo was staring down at it too. Because strangely enough he began to hear something himself. And the light of the crystal began to glow to him as well.

The sound emanating from the crystal got higher and higher. All the younglings could hear it, but to Wrath and Havo it was the only thing they could hear.

The sound continued to climb in pitch until there was a loud crack and pop before the twin crystal broke in a bright flash.

The boys blinked the white spots out of their vision as they looked to Wrath's palm to find two crystals where there had been one. One crystal glowed a forest green and shined brightly for Wrath while the other shined a lighter, spring green, that appeared dull to all but Havo.

"Well...never seen some like that happen before," Hiccup said curiously.

"Perhaps there was a flaw in the crystal's structure?" Elsa offered.

Havo cocked his head transfixed as the spring green sang its unique song to him. Calling to him. Almost automatically Havo raised a hand up and gingerly plucked it up.

He stared at it before looking to Wrath. Wrath stared back, neither knowing what to make of what just happened.

"Well Havo," Hiccup said to grab their attention. "I think you may have your crystal after all."

"Yeah...I think so," Havo said, still awestruck but happy regardless.

"Good work you two," Hiccup congratulated. Before sweeping his gaze around to them all. "Good work to all of you."

"We are very proud," Elsa added.

The younglings gathered around their teachers.

"You've all come a long way since you first started," Hiccup said. "And you've all learned alot."

"Yes," Elsa said in agreement. "And you've all grown in your own ways."

"Some of you've had to learn to overcome," Rapunzel chimed in.

"Yes," Elsa said as she looked to "Like your pride," Elsa said as he looked at Nemo.

"And your fears," Hiccup said as he looked to Lan Wu.

"Or your past," Rapunzel said as she met Ella's gaze before then looking to Nuna.

"Some of you had to find something," Hiccup began. "Like your confidence," he said as he looked right at Claire and then to Wrath.

"Or your compassion," Elsa said as she looked at Wally.

"Or your priorities," Hiccup said as he looked to Havo.

"And you will all continue to grow. In wisdom, skill, and power," Elsa said. "And as you do you will always have to mind yourselves and what may lay within," she said as she cast a quick gaze to Emma.

"But for today you should celebrate your success. For you are one step closer to becoming Jedi," Hiccup said as he smiled at them all.

"So does that mean we finally get our lightsabers?" Nemo asked.

The knights and Padawan smiled and nodded.

"Yes. It's time for you all to get your lightsabers," Hiccup confirmed.

The younglings all began to talk excitedly about the next step in their journey to becoming Jedi. The knight then declared the Gathering to be over. With that they were led out to return to the Kinnaran city.

As the younglings filed out and walked by the knights Elsa raised a hand and stopped Emma.

"I sense something is bothering you Emma?" Elsa inquired.

Emma blinked in surprise at Elsa's question. She'd been planning to bring it up herself. She was shocked Elsa had sensed her anxiety and brought it up herself.

Emma gave a quick explanation of her experience in the cave and her confrontation with her dark side. Elsa listened silently and took it all in.

"So…should I be worried, Master?" Emma asked nervously. Elsa had her eyes closed in contemplation as she thought it over.

"Yes...and no," Elsa answered.

"I don't understand," Emma said in confusion.

"All Jedi must eventually face their dark side Emma. It's an inevitability," she began. "You've simply done it much earlier than most."

"But it's in me. She's in me. I'm sure of it," Emma said, feeling this to be the truth.

"Darkness is in us all Emma," Elsa replied. "Everyday we must overcome it. Every time we must choose to not give in to it. It is something all Jedi must wrestle with. And through training and discipline, we do."

She looked to Emma and gave her a reassuring smile. "And I'm sure you will too," she said with the utmost confidence in her future apprentice.

Emma stared at her teacher and blushed bashfully at her words.

"Now let us go," Elsa said as she led the way out.

Emma followed after. She felt like a weight had been lifted from her, even if temporarily. Her worries and doubts were gone. She wouldn't dwell on it any longer. She'd live in the moment and revel in her success at having conquered her dark side.

And she swore she'd do so again.

Everytime.

almst done. sorry for the late update.
