"Mother, I entrust her to you for the meantime. Please don't let anything happen to her." The Prince said as she stared at the sleeping princess on their bed.

"Of course, son. Be careful alright? We know you can do it." The queen answered as he embraced her son. He bowed to the king and queen as he asked for their blessings.

"I'll remain in-charge for now, son. Hurry and go and get that stone! We'll take care of the kingdom and the princess."

"Imai. Don't let her out of your sight again even for a second. That's an order."

"Yes your highness. I won't make that mistake again."

"Dr. please get the blood." Narumi tied the tourniquet to her arms, inserted the gauge of the syringe as the blood got extracted. She whimpered in her sleep.

"Here, Natsume. Good luck. Be back as soon as you can." He gets the extracted blood from him.

"I'll be back, my princess, I love you so much. Please hang on." He kissed her forehead, turned and quickly flew to the mountain.

"You are the Prince but you're no exception for the reward is as of no less cost than you are."

"I understand and I beg your pardon for the disturbance I may have cost you. I'm here to take the 1st quest."

"Alright your highness. Since we, the birds are a messenger, my task for you is quite simple. Put to words the affection you're feeling for this human. Let yourself be a messenger of what is to be condemned, our judgement awaits."

"Now that you are here

I have nothing to fear

With you is where I belong

I know it, I feel it so strong

Nothing has been more clear

That it is your love I hold so dear

Deep inside is the cry of my heart

I never want us to part

I am a hopeless, romantic man

Doing the best he can

To show you for sure

That my love for you is pure

I will do whatever it takes

I don't care about the stakes

You and only you I want

A prayer I know God will grant."

"I wish you luck on the next step, son. Go forth. May your love conquer it all."

"Thank you."

"Ahh. What brings you here, your highness?" A dwarf asked. Tilting his eyeglasses so he can see him clearly.

"I am here for my other half."

"Let's not make it long for the princess' life is at stake."

"A riddle awaits you. Are you ready?"

"I'm waiting."

"I never was. Am always to be. No one ever saw me, nor ever will. And yet, I am the confidence of all who live and breathe. What am I?"

A silent moment passed as he thought. "You are the present."

The view changed.

This is only an illusion. This is not real, not real. I can do this. For her.

His power was off, all abilities shut. His wings cut. He becomes a human.

The third door opens showing a vast place. There are 4 roads connected to each other. He needs to reach the end.

He will reach the end.

The first one was a festival in town. Singing, dancing, foods everywhere. He walks through them, not really sure what to do. Not long after, there was a sudden black out. All became still. Sweat dripping from his face as he readies himself. He needs to find the way to the 2nd map as soon as possible. But how?

In a split second, there was fire everywhere. People were screaming, running, crying, as the whole town engulfed in flames.

He spotted a torch, ran to it and hurriedly lit it. He can't fly and so he runs and runs searching for the route to the 2nd map.

He's been at the same place twice now. Why can't he find the exit? The place slowly darkens. He knows he's losing it.

I can do this. For her.

He kept running and running and at last, he saw the light. The entrance to the 2nd map.

He saw a vast desert. His whole body sweating like crazy. He walks, looking for an oasis but as he turns around, his eyes could see nothing but sand.

He observes his surroundings; the sun is setting now. No exits can be seen as he circled the place. He feels so thirsty, and tired.

He never gets tired.

I must be strong for my family.

Sands started to form into circles as a tornado began to form. And he knows, this is the 2nd test. He gets up and runs as the tornado becomes larger and larger every passing second.

He runs away from it. Going left, going right. But to no use, it was following him. He gets tired of running and runs and stops to where he is.

"I AM NOT AFRAID!" he shouted as the tornado whirled him. The pressure was so strong that his human body began to incorporate the moving of the tornado.

His world turned black.

He opened his eyes. There was water everywhere.

He was riding a boat under the strong storm. Huge waves of the ocean hit his boat as he tried to get up.

He knew he was on his 3rd quest.

There was an island far away but there was no kayak and his ride was getting farther and farther away from it.

There was something in the boat, a knife. Why is there a knife?

A memory of her flash through his mind when they first met. Her voice. Her eyes. Her touch. Nothing will ever matter to him than her.

He breathes deeply as he dives through the vast ocean bringing his knife with him. There must be a reason why there was a knife there.

He swims and swims, there are fishes everywhere with different sizes and breeds.

He was now very close to the shore as two whales began to attack him.

There was no use hiding, he can't just hide or else he would fail. And so he got the knife and began aiming for the opponent's eyes. It was not that easy since their teeth were so sharp trying to eat him.

But he was strong.

He gets up from the bloody ocean as he steps foot on the little paradise in front of him as he collapses.

He opens his eyes again. He feels very weary. Energy drained.

This is the last. I have to stay strong for her.

He found a lake as he walked through the forest. Without seconds' thought, he jumps right into it and uses his hands to sip the water. He drinks it to his satisfaction.

He was walking again. His body is full of scratches and wounds. He felt so tired.

He heard something eerie echoing from somewhere.

What should I face now?

He was standing still waiting for the last quest as the ground began to slowly split into two. When he turned his back, there was a very angry giant staring back at him, holding a thorny, giant bat.

He runs and runs as it keeps following him. His voice keeps shouting and shouting in anger.

He needs to kill it. That's the final quest.

He runs and runs and at last he saw the weapon! A giant bow and arrow lays at the very far end of the forest.

He was about to lay his hands on it as he was hit in the arms by the tip of the thorny giant bat. Blood gushing out of his shoulders. He grimaced.

Though injured, he did not bother to stop. He gets the bow and arrow and shoots it endlessly to the giant.

"You, highness, is the first one to get this far. May I ask, my lord, do you not fear?"

"My love is greater than my fear."

"We shall see."

"What are you willing to give up for this human?"

"Everything." She slowly raises the sword.

"Then, I'm taking it all." He drops down and kneels, face facing to the ground. He knew it.

The fairy fully raises the sword as she aims through his neck. His life is the cost.
