I just wanted to apologize for my leave of absence. My grandmother died recently at eighty seven years old, so I couldn't really be bothered to write. However now I that I am back so I will try to write more. As always leave suggestions and comments

At Abby's house:

Abby Scuito-McGee pulled in her drive at exactly 5:03 pm, she stared at her nice suburban house and into her windows. The first thing she noticed was the light in her daughter, Penny's, room, which meant her children and the babysitter were in there. Her husband, Tim, was going to be arriving shortly after picking up some takeout for the family. Gibbs has really overworked the team and all Abby could think about was taking a nice relaxing bath. Unfortunately she already knew that it would have to wait until after the kids were fed and asleep.

Turning off her car she walked onto her front porch before turning the lock. "I'm back," she sang entering the house. Her heart melted as she heard her daughter running down the hallway and steps to greet her.

"Momma, guess what? Actually no, I'll just tell you. Alex's name was on the announcements today and it said to report to the office! Then when I came home I asked if RJ knew what he did, and Alex called Ms. Phillips an old hag! But apparently she made fun of him and then he did it back but now Alex got sent home from school early and Auntie Ziva picked him up and I saw her storming out of the school with him and she looked very mad. And then he-" Penny was interrupted

"Geesh, frog, give her a minute to catch her breath before ratting out Alex." Abbys too cool son RJ said, jumping off the last step. At only 12, RJ looked exactly like his father. His sandy blonde hair wavered nearly informed his eyes and he was definitely smart. Maybe more of a smartass but still smart. Abby felt a pang of joy just by looking at him.

Penny scowled at her older brother, who recently had gotten meaner towards her, "Momma did you hear him? He called me frog but he's not allowed to do that no more!" she cried trying to get her brother into trouble.

"Well if you stopped talking for like one second I wouldn't! You sound like a frog who always croaks!" defended RJ, annoyed with the fact he might be punished. Abby sighed, only one minute into the door and her children were fighting. She knew it was normal as she had fought with her brothers but the bickering between her children had only increased with age. Especially now with RJ hanging around his cousin, Alex, more who although very sweet also had Tony's sarcasm and lack of filter.

Just then the babysitter, Nicole walked down the steps. "Hello, Mrs McGee," the polite teenager greeted, "Sorry it took me a minute. I wanted to finish cleaning up."

"It's no problem, Nicky, you know the kids should clean up after themselves."

Abby handed the sitter the money before saying, "See you tomorrow!" and with that it was just Abby and her kids.

When Tim arrived at home later that evening he was relieved, the last case hit close to home and he was overworked so the thought of eating Chinese food and watching a movie with his family sounded amazing. Walking into the door, he saw his daughter sitting on the floor reading a book and his son playing on his dS. RJ was constantly begging for a phone and now that Alex had one and most of his friends, he really felt left out. Unfortunately, his parents just thought that 12 was too young for a phone. Alex just got on for his birthday this year and only because his grades were all above C's. RJs grades weren't the problem as the boy had always gotten straight A's so instead his parents said that if he stopped making fun of his sister then he could get one before his 13th birthday but apparently that task was too hard so he gave up and decided to wait.

Looking over RJ shoulder, Tim saw a racing game that a boy Luke introduced to his son. Both parents were just happy it wasn't violent.

"Hey buddy, how was school?"

"Eh... it was fine but I bet mom will tell you all about what happened if Penny doesn't beat her to it." replied a semi-sarcastic twelve year old.

Tim was perplexed. What had happened at school that RJ didn't

wanna talk about? Surely he wasn't in trouble.

Tim made his way into the small laundry room to find his wife who was now sporting comfy black leggings and an old black rock t-shirt. And walked right up to her before tapping her shoulder.

"Hey Abbs, you okay?" He asked, seeing the slightly upset look on her face.

She made eye contact with Tim before answering, "I'm fine Timmy, why wouldn't I be? Are you just assuming I'm upset because if so you are wrong! So dead wrong! I am a happy person, Tim."

Tim stepped back with widened eyes. Abby sighed.

"Sorry Timmy, Ziva called and said that Alexs' behavior has gotten worse and that she didn't know what they would do if he kept getting in trouble at school. It made me think of how RJ has been getting more snarky and if he will start acting up."

"Oh hon, all boys go through it and the girls definitely do.," Abby glared at him, "all Im saying is that it is part of growing up and RJ is still young but he knows right from wrong so even if something does happen we will steer him through it." Assured her caring husband. "Now, Lets eat!"

The two children came barreling in and the family of four sat down for a nice dinner that led to a peaceful afternoon.
