A Girl And Her Robot Friends

"Come on, Izzy!" Bokkun said in excitement, taking her hand and gently dragging her behind him as she laughed, jogging to keep up with the little flyer.

"Bokkun, slow down," she giggled. "We'll get to wherever you're taking me soon."

He grinned and they soon made it to what looked to be Ruins and Bokkun parted the vines covering the entrance. "Come on," he said, leading her inside.

"You promise Eggman's not here?" She asked, looking around with caution.

"Don't worry, Izzy. He's off in a meeting with some of his minions elsewhere," the small robot said. "Believe me, those meetings take hours."

She had heard Sonic say the same thing and so followed her friend, but she was ready in case Eggman did pop out. While she trusted her friend, she still was cautious. They soon arrived in a large room and to Isabel's surprise, there were two robots there. One was tall with his main color scheme as yellow and the other was shorter and silver in color. Both looked simple in design, as if they had been prototypes. She blinked, curious because she thought she had seen them with Eggman, but when she glanced around, the room looked like a secret base.

"Hi, guys!" Bokkun said happily. "I'm back and I brought a friend!"

"The same one that helped you get that present for Cream?" Asked the yellow robot.

The silver one looked up and gasped. "Hey, it's the kid!" He said. "Chris Thorndyke!"

The yellow robot dropped what he was carrying and hurried over to his friend, seeing Isabel and gasping. "It is! Holy cow! We've been wanting to meet you!" He exclaimed.

Bokkun looked at them as if they were blooming idiots. "Guys!" He said in exasperation. "Can't you tell that's a girl?! And her name is Isabel!"

Both looked at Isabel and to her surprise, their faces flushed red in embarrassment as they did a double check with looking at her and seeing she was indeed a girl. "Um, sorry," the yellow one said, rubbing the back of his neck.

She smiled before she snapped her fingers as a thought came to her. "Wait! I know you two!" She said. "You're always with Dr. Eggman. You're his personal robots, right?"

Both flinched at that. "Used to be," the silver one said sadly. "Not anymore."

Isabel blinked, seeing he was sad. "He mistreats you too?" She asked.

"Until we got away from him, yes," said the yellow one before he held out a hand. "I'm Decoe. You're the human Freedom Fighter, right?"

"Yes," she said. "It's nice to meet you Decoe."

The silver one came forward and held out a hand. "I'm Bocoe," he said. "Bokkun told us about how you rescued him and helped him get a present for Cream."

Isabel smiled. "That's what friends do," she said. "But I'm curious. What are you guys doing here?"

"We've learned to survive without Eggman," Decoe said, sounding like he was grinning. "And here's the best part." He lowered his voice to whisper and leaned closer to her ear, holding up a hand in a human gesture of hiding his mouth. "We steal from him from right under his nose and he has no clue about it."

"Really?" She asked in surprise. "Not even a hint? Not even Metal Sonic tells him?"

"Metal's actually been really quiet lately," Bocoe said. "We think you might have something to do with that."

She hummed in thought. "So...here's the big question. If you guys don't work for Eggman anymore, how do you get what you need without him knowing?" She asked.

"Oh, that was easy," Bokkun said. "For many nights years ago, I stole parts, pieces, and equipment from Eggman without him finding out." He patted his satchel. "My bag is bigger than it looks."

"Together, with the knowledge Dr. Eggman put in us, we built a modified Badnik that can be piloted from inside at the stomach, where Bocoe comes in," Decoe said, smiling. "Bocoe doesn't take up much space and is tall enough to reach the controls. I'm afraid I'm too tall to do it."

"With our robot, we're able to get in and out of our ex-master's fortress without tripping the alarm," Bocoe said proudly.

Isabel smiled. "You three have the makings of Freedom Fighters," she said. "So why haven't you asked Sonic if you can join them?"

"Well," Bokkun said, looking down a bit. "Even though Sonic and the others are okay with me as long as I'm with you, we...we felt we wouldn't be readily accepted if we just up and asked if we could join him, even if we never really engaged in a fight with them."

"Not only that, if Eggman found out we had joined the Freedom Fighters...well, let's just say we're not certain that he won't erase our memories or have something implanted to dispose of us for treachery," Decoe said.

The girl cocked her head to the side. "If he did, don't you think he would have used it by now instead of banishing you?" She asked.

The three looked at each other before Bocoe looked at her. "Good point," he said before noticing a slight glow in her pocket. "What's that?" He asked, pointing to her pocket.

Isabel looked up at Bokkun, who nodded encouragingly. Taking a deep breath, the girl pulled out the purple Chaos Emerald out of her pocket. Decoe and Bocoe's eyes widened in shock. "A Chaos Emerald?" The former asked.

Bokkun nodded. "It bonded to her," he said.

"But...that's never happened before," said Bocoe. "It never did when we worked with Eggman."

"Guess we missed out being on the bad side," Decoe said, sounding a bit jealous.

"Yeah," his friend agreed.

Bokkun shrugged. "But better in Isabel's hands than Eggman's hands, right?" He asked.

"True," Decoe said with a nod. "It is in good hands."

"Yeah, better you than Eggman, Izzy," Bocoe said. "I can call you Izzy, right?"

"Sure," she said with a smile. "You both can."

Bokkun giggled. "Come on!" He said happily. "We did a lot of work today. Let's have some fun!"

"I can think of something," Decoe said, catching Bokkun and tickling his stomach, making the small robot laugh heartily as he squirmed to get away.

Isabel giggled and Bocoe gently took her arm before guiding her to a section where they had board games and gestured for her to pick one. She saw a new one and selected it. "How do you play this one?" She asked.

"We'll teach you," the silver robot said with a smile.

The next day...

Bocoe had been out walking and looked up, accidentally finding the white Chaos Emerald in a tree in the forest. He managed to climb up and get it without breaking any branches but was too afraid to get down until he heard the sound of engines on Eggman's Egg Mobile in the distance. He instantly knew sitting in the tree with a Chaos Emerald in hand would make him an easy target, so he jumped off the tree, letting the branches hit him and break under his weight. Bocoe took off running when he landed on his feet, not to their Ruins hideout but somewhere that would throw Eggman off if he did follow.

He ran as quick as his body would let him, clutching the Emerald close as he knew Eggman wasn't far but was smart to know if someone was carrying an Emerald. He accidentally trips on a tree root and fell but still held onto the gem. Metal Sonic appeared before him and helped him up but Bocoe kept a firm grip on the gem and Metal didn't let go of him after letting him up. "Well done, Metal," he heard Eggman cackle.

Bocoe kicked Metal and the hedgehog's copy got off of him. "I'm not giving you the gem, Ivo!" He snarled at his ex-master. "You replaced us with Orbot and Cubot! You wanted to destroy us so we rebelled! So the gem is mine and I won't be handing it over so easily!"

"Have it your way, Bocoe!" Dr. Eggman said in aggravation. "Metal Sonic, destroy this treacherous robot to scraps!"

The blue robot nodded before attacking Bocoe. The grey/silver robot did his best dodging before he accidentally slipped and started getting rammed, but he didn't let the Emerald go. He struggled to get up but Metal kicked him down and pinned him with his foot. Metal grabbed Bocoe's wrist of the same hand holding the Emerald and tried to pry it from him but the robot refused to let go.

Bocoe closed his eyes and relaxed while clutching the gem. He thought happy thoughts of the fun times with Decoe and Bokkun. Then meeting Isabel for the first time and seeing how happy she was. He suddenly felt warmth in his hand and opened his eyes to see the Emerald glowing bright. It got warm, too hot for a short second before becoming warm again. The gem glowed brighter and teleported out of his hand before it gently embedded itself into Bocoe's chest above the boko symbol.

Eventually the light got so bright that he closed his eyes to keep himself from being blinded. He felt a nice feeling in his wires, a little tingly that almost felt ticklish, but it still felt pleasant and a fuzzy-safe feeling like a hug.

After a few minutes, he slowly opened his eyes until it was safe to fully open them. He looks around and the forest looked small as he was now a giant robot. He looked down and saw Eggman with a panicked look on his face. He relished seeing that look on Eggman's face, but he had a sense of mercy and found his advantage unfair. But that didn't mean he couldn't toy with Eggman without hurting him.

He flexed his hands and moved his arms and legs to gain feeling in them in his new size so he didn't stumble and fall before he grabbed his ex-master gently and took him out of his Egg Mobile. He put the vehicle in his non-visible mouth and slowly chewed so Eggman can hear every little sound of the Mobile being crushed while looking into his glasses. Then an idea came to mind. He could eat the doctor's entire fortress and Eggman couldn't do anything about it. Even if he had a souped-up weapon robot aside that he could command to attack him, it still wouldn't be enough.

"You know, Ivo," Bocoe says to his ex-master, speaking for the first time since he gained his new size. "Decoe and I had done a lot for you. Even if there were a few accidents and slip ups, you had no appreciation for us no matter how hard we tried. So since you made our lives miserable, I'm gonna make your life miserable by destroying your hard work, your pride and joy of your fortress. And there's nothing you can do or say to convince me otherwise."

Of course Eggman pleaded. His Badniks tried to shoot down the giant robot when he approached the base but their efforts were futile. Bocoe stomped the ground, knocking the robots off their feet or wheels. Letting Eggman free, Bocoe looked around before deciding to start with the watch towers, breaking them off one by one and eating them, glass and metal being crushed in his mouth as he ate them. He enjoyed it, drowning out his ex-master's pleas as he ate.

Of course he ate a group of Badniks in the process, but they were like grapes to him. Once he finished eating all the towers, he couldn't choose where to start on the fortress. So he chose the middle, ripping and tearing away like it was cake. He ate and ate and ate, eventually Eggman gave up pleading once his base was mostly destroyed. That was when Bocoe saw a lot of oil barrels and started eating them too.

Eventually there was nothing left to salvage. The base was gone and completely wiped clean. Surprisingly, he didn't see Orbot and Cubot and figured that maybe they possibly escaped when he started eating the base. Either way, Bocoe had a belly full and decided to relax by leaning his back against the mountain. Looking smug, he looked at his ex-master, who had a combined look of sadness and anger on his face.

"What? You frustrated at me because I destroyed your base?" Bocoe asked before laughing. "Well I hope you like the taste of my medicine because I got you back after for so long. But if you do rebuild, I'll come back to take it down again to put it into my stomach."

Chuckling to himself, Bocoe closed his eyes to nap as he still laid against the mountain, the strong acid in his robot stomach destroying what he ate to preserve that into fuel for his body to recharge off of, like a phone battery being recharged. He wished for more to eat but he could always get Eggman to buy him stuff to eat.

The next day, he found out Eggman had a supply train coming in. He had forced the information out of him without hurting him before sitting and waiting at Eggman's personal station. Bocoe started to like being big because he felt invincible, but decided he wouldn't be a jerk about it unless it was to Eggman. He heard a fast whoosh and didn't have to look to know who it is. "So he sent you to stop me, didn't he?" He asked Sonic.

"Bocoe, what gives?" The blue hedgehog asked him, a bit surprised to see that Eggman hadn't been kidding about the robot being gigantic with the white Chaos Emerald embedded in his chest.

The robot turned around to face him. "I didn't hurt him, Sonic. I'm just eating his supplies. He deserves it for treating me, Bokkun and Decoe like trash. Besides, you can't stop me, I'm too big for you to trash. And my metal body is too tough for your spin dash attack anyways," he said.

Sonic tried anyways and it didn't even leave a mark. Bocoe laughed in amusement. "Hilarious, that tickles," he said before looking at the hedgehog. "I told you, Sonic. Besides, don't you hate the Doctor like I do?"

"I don't hate him, just dislike strongly. And if you eat all the supplies then how am I supposed to kick his butt later?" Sonic exclaimed.

"Then you're having an early retirement, congratulations," the robot said. "Because I'm not stopping until I have eaten everything that Ivo holds dear."

"What about me?"

"What?!" Bocoe exclaimed in surprise, his eyes wide.

"You said you wouldn't stop eating everything Eggman holds dear. That includes me. I'm his nemesis and you know that," Sonic said.

"I'm not gonna eat you. That's disgusting!" The robot admitted. "Besides, I prefer eating things that don't talk."

Sonic knew that Bocoe wasn't gonna quit so he ran off while Bocoe started eating the train and everything on it. The hedgehog was wondering what to do and finally decided that though the robot was doing them a favor in a way, he had to be stopped before he went too far.

Isabel was stunned to hear that Bocoe had grown massive and was chewing up Eggman's bases like candy. "Well, while I'm for giving Eggman what he deserves, we do have to stop Bocoe," she said.

Bokkun hovered by her shoulder. "But you guys won't hurt him, right?" He asked pleadingly.

"He is our friend," Decoe said, standing next to Isabel.

"He's making a mess," Tails said quietly.

"But he's destroying all of Eggman's stuff," Knuckles said. "Granted, I'm all for that, but...I think he's gone a bit far."

"I'd say let him continue," Shadow said, smirking. "None of us like Eggman, so that robot is doing us a favor."

"Maybe, but what if Bocoe eats something explosive by accident and then explodes?" Isabel asked. "We've got to stop him and do so without hurting him."

"Isabel is right," said Espio with a nod.

Sonic nodded and looked at Isabel, Decoe, and Bokkun. "We'll use non-lethal force," he promised. "But...if that doesn't work...I'm asking Tails to deactivate him."

Isabel looked devastated, but Tails came up to her. "Only as a last resort," he promised. "We'll do everything we can to stop him before that."

She nodded. "Okay," she said.

A day had passed and Bocoe had eaten half of what Eggman owned as property. He ate Badniks and secret bases, as well as anything within Eggman's circle of his empire. He was currently chugging down tanker trucks with oil stored in them before eating the trucks themselves. Sonic and his friends tried everything they could to stop him, but failed.

"Okay, I hate to admit it, but this is getting us nowhere," Antoine said with a sigh.

"What do we do now?" Vector asked.

Isabel stood up, having had enough of the fighting. "Maybe I can talk to him," she said.

Decoe and Bokkun agreed at once. "He'll listen to Izzy," the latter said in agreement.

"Let's hope so," the former said.

The girl turned to them. "I'll need your help to track him down," she said.

"You've got it," he said.

"Be careful, Izzy," Shadow said, looking at her.

"I will," she promised.

Thankfully, finding Bocoe wasn't hard. The three's eyes widened and saw that Bocoe was a mess. He had dried oil and gasoline on his hands, chest and belly. He was so focused on destroying Eggman's empire that he didn't know he made himself a mess.

"Bocoe! BOCOE!" Decoe screamed to get his counterpart's attention.

The giant robot finished his truck and saw his friends. "Oh hey Decoe, what's up?" He asked casually, grabbing the last truck.

"What's up? What's up?! Bocoe, I'm disappointed in you! THAT'S what's up!" Decoe yelled at him angrily.

Bocoe flinched from Decoe yelling at him and started tearing up.

"W-What did I do to make you angry, Decoe?" He asked, shaking as he was crying. He disliked making Decoe angry and wouldn't do anything to upset him. "Whatever I did to make you mad, I'm sorry."

Isabel gave Decoe a hand gesture to be nice and easy and the yellow robot nodded, calming down a bit. "Have you looked at yourself? You're covered in oil and gasoline, Bo. I think you should stop and clean yourself," he told him gently.

Bocoe looked at the mess on himself and he felt ashamed as he kept crying. "I'm a monster. I did this and I didn't even think about myself. All I cared about was revenge. I'm sorry Decoe," he sobbed. His tears were big by the gallons full. The three were careful of his tears because just one could soak them through and through.

"Bocoe, you need to calm down. Everything is fine," Isabel said gently before getting an idea. Bocoe was sitting down with his feet exposed. Maybe tickling would get him to stop crying. She went up and started tickling him, but he didn't have any toes so she had to improvise by tickling the soles of his feet all over. The plan worked and Bocoe moved his foot away as he laughed.

"What was that for?" He asked in-between his laughter.

"Trying to cheer you up, silly," she said before attacking the other foot and held on as he tried to gently shake her off.

"Keep going, Izzy!" Bokkun cheered her on.

"Don't let go, Izzy!" Decoe cheered too, glad to see that Isabel's plan was working.

Bocoe was laughing himself silly to the point that he shrunk back down to normal size and Isabel stopped tickling him. "Much better," she said. "You're back to normal again."

He cheered up, looking at her. "Thank you, Isabel," he said and smiled even though it was not visible. "I'm glad you snapped me to my senses. I think the Emerald manipulated my artificial emotions to drive me this way."

"I think so too. Sonic says that the Emeralds are powered by emotions and heart. So your hate for Eggman made you lose your senses, powering the Emerald for your desire to destroy everything he owns. If we didn't stop you, who knows what you would do next once you ate everything," Isabel comforted him, gently patting his back.

"Thank you. Now I know what to do, but first, I gotta get washed up. I'm ashamed that I let myself lose my head but not again. Let's get back to the ruins so I can scrub off this muck," Bocoe said with determination.

Isabel nodded. "Let's go scrub you clean."

Once they were at the Ruins and Bocoe was scrubbed clean and dried, Decoe and Bokkun hugged him compassionately. "Glad to have you back, buddy," Decoe said happily.

"We really missed you," Bokkun added.

They then heard the sound of a rocket engine and they knew immediately who it was. "It's him! He must've tracked the Emerald's energy signature somehow and followed us here," Bokkun said calmly, but Isabel saw him shaking like a leaf.

"He'll destroy your base if we don't face him now. All your hard work will be in ruins," Isabel said.

"So let's get outside now. Two Emeralds against none should be a walk in the park for us," Bocoe said confidently.

The four nodded and went outside. Dr. Eggman was piloting a new Egg Mobile with a bunch of Badniks at his side with Metal Sonic.

"You were saying something about a walk in the park, Bocoe?" Isabel asked him, but he didn't retort. He only huffed in confidence.

"Leave it to me," he said.

"You two better hand over your Chaos Emerald or else," Eggman threatened.

"Or what? You didn't learn your lesson the first time after I ate your base and half of your property?" Bocoe snarled. "You're just full of empty threats, Ivo."

"How dare you, Bocoe! Since you won't hand them over willingly, I might as well take them from your lifeless bodies!" The doctor snarled before activating his missiles.

The four panicked since they couldn't compete with that. Suddenly the purple and white Emeralds started glowing, forming a large force field around them that protected them and their base. "A force field?!" Eggman exclaimed. "Made of Chaos Energy?!"

"Bocoe, now's your chance!" Isabel said to the robot.

He nodded, becoming a giant robot again. "Guess I have to trash your things, Ivo. Does nothing get through that thick skull of yours?" He retorted before grabbing the Egg Mobile and taking Eggman out of the vehicle before eating it. Of course the Badniks attacked him, but the efforts are futile.

"Your Badniks are trash! My body can withstand the attacks. Not even Sonic can pierce through it because you designed it to be," Bocoe chuckled before stomping his foot. Both the Badniks and Eggman's friends lost their footing.

Metal Sonic tried to free him but the giant robot wouldn't let go. "Nuh-uh, you don't get him back until I'm done," he said before eating all the Badniks. When the last one was eaten, he let Eggman go and the evil scientist ran away with Metal Sonic on his tail. Bocoe suddenly started crying again and got down to his knees before going into table position with his head hanging, his hands balling into fists.

"Bocoe?" Isabel gently asked him, but didn't get a response back.

Decoe moved to the front of his partner. "Bo, what's wrong?" The yellow robot asked in concern.

"I'm a monster, aren't I? I'm dangerous," Bocoe sobbed out.

Isabel joined Decoe and gently moved the silver robot's head up so she could kiss him. Bocoe's eyes widened from her kissing him. She smiled as she did it again.

"We love you, Bocoe. You're not a monster," she said sweetly.

"And I love you too," Decoe added, a smile in his voice.

Bocoe continued to cry but his expression in his eyes showed he was happy. "I love you guys," he said as Isabel and Decoe nuzzled his face while avoiding his huge tears. "Thank you for comforting me. You're my greatest friends."

He shrunk down to his normal size and they did a group hug, laughing and hugging like good friends.

Ten Years Later...

Isabel received a text message from Jamie that he found the blue Chaos Emerald at a beach on Mobius with Rachel. She checked off the blue Emerald off her list while she was currently at work.

"Six found, one to go," she said to herself as she looked at her list. "But the white one is not gonna be easy to find."

She folded up her list and pocketed it, then looked at the slip of paper about the theater she was about to clean. It had the information of which seats were reserved on what row. And there were a lot of people in the theater. Thankfully, it wasn't so busy.

"But I hope this theater is easy," she said to herself as she readjusted her rubber gloves and her mask. "I hate the idea of getting behind on drops."

Sighing, she got to work, her mind wandering back to her robot friends and she smiled, hoping they were okay and hoping to see them again soon.

So if some of you are wondering, all but one of the Emeralds have bonded with someone. The Cyan Emerald Isabel found sometime back is the only one not bonded to someone, but will it bond to someone? Will Isabel see her robot friends again Stay tuned to find out. :)

And please leave Lantern Power and myself a review, but no flames! :)
