A/N: I just wanted to apologize for the once again loooooongggg break. I wasn't feeling writing and was stressed about all of my school work. I have also been learning Italian and since Tony is Italian I may incorporate it (with translations). As I mentioned in my last chapter oh so long ago, Jibbs has twins, Caleb and Sarah. They are 10 years old and are best friends with Tali. Their personalities are going to be more explained as the story goes on but for an overview, Caleb is very loyal like his father and loves to copy him while also trying to always be on his best behavior and Sarah is a complete Daddy's girl but has her mothers attitude and smart mouth. And now without further adieu:

Set the same day as the last chapter:

Jennys POV

Jenny stared out the window of the small family home at her children loading off the bus. The two redheads came racing down the driveyard each smiling and dragging their lunch pails. As Caleb got to the door first, he waited for his sister before opening it. Sarah skipped in first and immediately went to her mother while Caleb lagged behind.

"Hi, mommy. I missed you," the sweet girl said, wrapping her arms around the elder. Jenny smiled down at her. She cherished the fact that her children still get excited whenever her or her husband were home. Probably because it was so rare due to their active jobs.

"I missed you two too, baby. Caleb how was your day?"

The boy switched his smile to a pout alerting his mother something was off. "It was fine, until Tommy decided it would be funny to pull Neils jeans down. Everybody laughed at him, Mom."

"Did you? Or Sarah?"

"No. Well Sarah did a little but I told her to stop." Cal proudly stated. He was such like his father when it came to protecting his friends.

Jenny glanced down at her daughter who was now gnawing nervously on her lip. She always had signs when it came to guilt. Jenny kneeled down slightly and grasped her childs small hands. Raising an eyebrow she spoke, "Why'd you laugh Sarah?"

"I thought it was funny at first." the small voice spoke.

"How would you feel if that happened to you? Would you like it if everyone laughed?"

The mini ginger sighed, "No. I guess not. But, mom, everyone did and I stopped after a little" Sarah was hopeful that this would make her mother less disappointed. It didn't.

"You shouldn't have done it at all, Sarah Ann. I understand others laughed but it doesn't make it okay to follow them. You are your own, beautiful person and you make your own decisions."

"I know, mommy, and I really feel bad. I won't do it again, I promise." sparing a glance at her mother.

Jenny smiled down, knowing the ten year old was telling the truth. Caleb on the other hand was a little angry because Sarah wasn't in trouble. If it were him and his father, he'd be getting told how he needed to be the bigger man and stand up for others but his mother didn't even tell Sarah to stand up only not to follow others.

"Mom, shouldn't she have to stand up for him next time? Maybe she needs some time in her room to think about it.'' The boy thought he was being helpful but after being subjected to his mothers fiery stern glare he knew he was wrong.

"Caleb Jasper, I am the mother and you are the children. You know better to question us. Maybe you should spend time in your room." the mother suggested in a firm yet gentle voice. "And if you would have waited I was just about to tell your sister that she should have defended him but I was interrupted by little boys who think they are in charge."

Looking properly chastised, the boy hung his head but not before seeing his sisters victorious smile, "I'm sorry. I don't want to go to my room."

"That's what I thought. I know you just want to help Neil but you and your sister are two different people. I do hope that she will help the others but ultimately it is her choice even if it may not be the best."

Both children nodded. The pair just wanted this conversation over so they could go play.

"You guys can go unpack your backpacks and then play for a while. Don't forget you both need showers tonight and homework before 7. Daddy will be home around then"

The two children went racing to the closet to unpack. Jenny went back to thinking about dinner. Once she set her mind on lasagne, she made her way into the kitchen to begin. Her mind wandered as she cooked thinking about her blessings. Jethro, Caleb and Sarah were definitely number one but she had so many more. Ziva, Tony, Abby, and Tim plus their families came to mind. Oh how she loved them like they were her own kids as well. In some ways Ziva was. When Jenny had first met Ziva, she was just nineteen and already more mature than most adults. The two had a bond rat off the bat, and soon began to think of each other as family. They shared many adventures and many challenges but Jenny was glad that they did it together. Now seeing Ziva as a full grown adult with children amazed her. She never would have pegged the Israeli as the maternal type when she was younger, as she was so serious and had a dangerous lifestyle, but now she saw the way Ziva's eyes lit up watching Alex play basketball or Tali dance, or even little Ellie perform those in home concerts that should be annoying but was really just cute. Jenny was thankful everyday she got to have a life which included the ones she loved. As soon as she became the NCIS director, that small circle of loved ones expanded, being introduced to Abby, Tony, and Tim along with and eventually grew their family one by one. It was the best decision she ever made.

Sarah's POV:

Sarah Ann and Caleb Jasper were twins. Obviously not identical but looked similar enough it was obvious. Sometimes though Sarah hated being a twin. She had to share everything including her class. That's how Cal knew she had laughed and how she almost got in trouble. Usually she got along with her brother but he had a sort of heroic streak, sticking up for others and not caring what anyone thought, whereas Sarah just wanted to fit in and go with the crowd. This led to arguments in the Gibbs' house. It wasn't so much she blamed Cal for being a hero but she wished he wouldn't always want her to be one too. She just wasn't like that. Sarah considered herself to be a nice girl and all but didn't feel a need to go beyond that. It wasn't like she made the mean comment.

All of this thinking hurt her head as she set in her bedroom. Deciding to end it, Sarah made her way downstairs and over her shoulder yelled, "I'm going to Tali's house." Not even bothering to wait for a response she grabbed her blue and green bike with the ribbons and pedaled her way to the Dinozzo-Davids. It wasn't a far ride as they only lived a few streets over but it still took her about seven minutes because she was always distracted by the neighbors. The McBurney's house had a bouncy house up all year round and the whole neighborhood was welcome to it. The Kurtis' had what looked like the biggest camper ever in their driveway and Sarah heard the grandparents lived there. The Yolacks' house looked normal but if you looked inside you could see a million colors everywhere. Janey Yolack was an artist and definitely expressed it in her house.

Finally, the young girl reached her destination, throwing her bike on the yard, and she ran up the stairs. *Knock Knock Knock* banged on the door until it was opened revealing a tall Alex. Sarah squinted up at him trying to see if her glare would make him let her right in. It didn't.

"Sup, Red?" The teen spoke.

Sarah liked the nickname. It made her feel special because Alex didn't call dumb Caleb any nickname. "Can I come in and play with Tali? Please?"

The teen smirked at his cousin before yelling to his mother, "Mom, Sarah wants to play with Tali!"

Sarah didn't focus on her aunt's response and instead on the brand new scooter in the entryway. She was quickly jolted out of her thoughts by Alex yelling once more, "Talia, Sarah is here and she wants to play!"

Then the lanky teen opened the door wider so she could pass before heading back to the living room where his school books were sprawled out.

Tali emerged from the stairs with a smiling face and eyes puffy. This caused Sarah confusion. Had her cousin been crying?

"C'mon Sar, let's go paint nails" T squealed.

Sarah's attention was caught by the scooter again, "Is that yours?"

"No its Ellies," The girl pulled a face, "She insisted she needed one so she could ride with us."

"But I don't want her to ride with us. She's too little"

"I know but Daddy says sometimes we have to include her." The brunette shrugged obviously used to sharing with her sister while Sarah, being the youngest, still wasn't too fond of the idea but decided to drop it.

"Okay let's go to your room."

The two girls played up there for about half an hour before being interrupted by Ziva bursting into the room.

"Mama," Tali whined, "You're supposed to knock."

However Ziva had her eyes set on Sarah. "Did you not tell your mother where you were going, Sarah Ann?"

The younger one protested, "No, I did. Before I left I yelled I was coming here." She was confused. She did tell her mom. Or more so told the house where she was going. But surely her mother heard her slam the door. Didn't she?

"Well Jenny just called me and asked if you were here. She sounded quite frantic. Are you sure you told her directly?" Ziva questioned her niece.

Thinking back, Sarah realized that with no response, she could see how her mother didn't know. Sighing, she looked into her aunt's chocolate eyes. "I guess not. She didn't really answer me but I thought she heard. Honest I did," she added hoping that they would believe her.

"Okay, honey. But maybe you should ride home so that you can explain. You gave her a scare and I think it was all a misunderstanding."

Sarah didn't want to leave as she had just begun playing a little while ago but also knew it wasn't really a request so decided to obey without complaint. She bid her goodbyes to the mother-daughter duo with hugs and then once downstairs she yelled to Alex so he knew she was leaving. Hopping on her bike once more, she began the route home, a little nervous about what awaited her.

Jenny's POV:

After hanging up with Ziva who confirmed that Sarah was there, she relaxed a little. While she was angry at her daughter for leaving at least she knew she was safe. Stepping out onto the porch, Jen waited for her daughter's arrival.

Finally the blue/green bike came into view. Her daughter's sweaty face caught her eyes and she knew she came as fast as she could. Jen ran down the steps and hugged the child. "Why didn't you tell me you left!? You scared the hell out of me!"

Sarah felt bad because her mom must have been very scared to swear in front of her. She treaded carefully in her explanation, "I did tell you mommy. Before I left, I called out and told but I guess I didn't wait around for an answer. I really thought you heard me though. I promise. "

Upon hearing this, Jenny seemed to realise she was telling the truth, and Jenny was so deep in thought earlier she mustn't have heard the young girl. Giving her one more hug she replied, "Oh Sarah, I understand it was just bad communication but please make sure I hear you next time, okay? Just wait for a response, yeah?"

"Okay mommy, I'm sorry."

Just then Jethro's car pulled down the street. Parking it in front of the house, he got out and greeted his girls. Jenny laughed at his confusion as to why they were out here, before telling him she'd explain later. The couple followed their daughter inside, before the father went to find his son and catch up with him. Jenny went back to finishing dinner and Sarah sat at the table waiting. By the time 8:45 rolled around, the children were fed, bathed, and in bed while the grownups were sharing there eventful days.

I thought I would incorporate this family into the story. I really do apologize for the long breaks between chapters but can't promise I will be better. I wish I could but life happens and I'm sorry. Since I am on Christmas break I will try to write more. As always please leave any suggestions, comments, or concerns and reviews. Who is your favorite family so far? Why?
