A/N: This one is quick. I don't really know how I feel about it so let me know how you feel. Any suggestions are appreciated. Enjoy.

"Alex, wait!" Ziva grabbed her bolting son's arm. She knew he wanted to apologize but her middle child's feelings were hurt and she didn't want any yelling so she stopped her son. "I know you feel bad but give her time to cool off, okay?"

The teen looked longingly at the stairs but nodded anyway. He really didn't wanna fight with his sister but he felt terrible. She was never gonna forgive him.

Ellie watched the entire scene playout. She was very confused. Why had Tali thrown her backpack? And why wasn't Mama angry? If El had down that she woulda gotten a timeout. It was so unfair! She expressed this, "Mama, why didn't Tali get a timeout for throwing something? We aren't allowed to do that."

"I know, baby, but Talia is very upset right now. She needs some time to herself so please stay down here." The mother was trying to be patient as she knew the six year old didn't understand.

However, Ellie decided it would be smart to whine, "But that's not fair." she dragged out the word, "It's my room too!"

Alex headed into the living room knowing his younger sister was about to get in trouble. Whining at their mother was a big no no. Ziva crouched down next to her baby. "Elizabeth, I know you don't get why you can't and you are correct, it is your room too. However, you cannot whine towards me. It is disrespectful. I have given you a reason as to why you can't go upstairs but if you whine or shout at me then you will be sitting at the dining table for a timeout. The choice is yours." She watched the gears in the little ones mind shift. Her daughter was very stubborn but not usually stupid. God, where was Tony? He would get through to the stubborn girl.

Ellie finally made her decision. "Okay." That was it. No apology. No remorse. She wasn't admitting defeat but also didn't wanna timeout.

Ziva's eyebrow raised. "Okay? Can I please have an apology?" She was getting less patient with her daughter as she continued to push buttons.

A stomp of the foot made the mom realize that her daughter was too emotional. Ellie wasn't going to apologize until she realized she was in the wrong. And that wasn't going to happen without some persuasion. "Let's go Ellie."

Defiance was etched on Ellie's face. "Where?"

"You need to calm down before we have a reasonable discussion. I am not going to argue with you and I am not going to allow you to lead yourself into more trouble. Please go sit in your chair." Ziva sounded more calm then she felt. Honestly she didn't know what she would do if Ellie continued to refuse but luckily her hero arrived. Tony.

The man observed the scene and decided to intervene. "Hey Ellie-bug. How about you say sorry and then we can go snuggle for a bit?"

Ziva stared at Ellie trying to see what was going to happen. As soon as her daughter uncrossed her arms and said, "Okay, Daddy," she let out a breath of relief. It was times like these she felt like a bad mother. Only Tony could get through to the six year old.

"I'm sorry Mama. I won't go upstairs." And with that the little girl skipped to her father, grabbed her hand and pulled him to the living room. Ziva heard a faint, "Move Alex." Obviously the boy was sitting on Ellie's beloved couch. Surprisingly, Alex obeyed and headed upstairs. She assumed he was going to his bedroom.

Tali's POV:

When she heard footsteps coming upstairs, she was nervous. She thought it was her mama coming to scold her about throwing her bag but was relieved to realise the footsteps belonged to her brother. The one she was mad at. Hopefully he wouldn't come into her room.

Her hopes were crushed when she heard a soft knock. "Go away, Alex." The name was spitted out like it burned. Never had such hate come from the girl. Still her brother opened the door and peaked his head in. She considered throwing something at him but thought better at it and just rolled away from him.

"Tali. Please. Let me apologize," His voice was obviously sad, "Please, TT."

She rolled to face him but didn't say anything. Just stared at her brothers big stupid head as he climbed up the latter.

"I'm really really sorry. I know I made the wrong choice. I should've protected you but instead I was selfish."

She just burst out crying. As much as she wanted to be mad, she just wanted her big brother. Her protector. She knew he felt really bad.

Tali finally opened her mouth, "Why didn't you help? You promised you would and you can't break promises. Its a rule."

Alex's heart broke hearing this. He had promised. God, this day sucked. "I know, T. I swear I am really sorry. I know how stupid it was and next chance I get I'll stop Marrissa. Really."

"Do you swear?" Tali wiped her tears from her eyes. Swears meant so much more than a promise. While she wasn't ready to forgive him yet, she wanted his help.

He eagerly nodded. "Yes, yes I swear. Just please forgive me."

"I guess. Just make sure you really do it or else I'm gonna be mad at you forever." She declared.

Alex grinned at her before kissing her forehead. "I will. You're the best little sister ever." He then hopped off the ladder and headed to his room to start some homework. The day was looking up.

It was short but I hope you like it. Did I display the relationships the way you wanted? Was it reasonable of Tali to forgive Alex? Let me know. Also I am curious as to which family should be next. I am think McAbby but I really don't know. Any other characters you wanna see?
