The next morning, they shot up, showered and grabbed their hero costumes, stuffing them in their backpacks and grabbing pop tarts before running out and getting on the slide. Luffy not only had his slide up, but a protective box around them. The month of training only their haki had made them both more efficient. Luffy the most since his quirk was more versatile.

When they arrived, they found Mirio just getting there. "Mirio!" they cheered. "We're back!" He grinned and gave them high fives. He said it was good to have them back enthusiastically.

"It's gonna be so nice to have some guys who I really connected with!" They asked what he meant. "I didn't really click with the newer two. Maybe it was because I missed you guys, after everything we'd been through, y'know? We saved Eri together, defeated the enemies as team members. You can't forge a bond like that easily."

They both grinned and all three of them walked into the building. When they entered, Bubble Girl ran to the two, saying she missed them. They smiled and said they'd missed everybody, too. Nighteye smiled at them. "It is good to have you back, you two." They both nodded in agreement. "It is a shame you had to wait so long, but U.A. took your safety very seriously after what happened."

They turned to see the two other students that had replaced them at first. They were from class B, but they didn't know them too well. "Hi, my hero name is Lu and he's Firefist. It's nice to meet more students," Luffy said, reaching his hand out to shake theirs. One was completely pitch black and the other's bangs covered her eyes completely and she was dressed like a mushroom.

"It's nice to formally meet you. And work with such positive heroes. We haven't forgotten when you brought class A and B together," the mushroom girl said. "My hero name is Shemage and he's Vantablack."

He asked both of them to leave the room for a moment, and they did. Nighteye then addressed the three of the original student interns.

Nighteye said it was good they seemed like they'd get along. "We're working on a specific mission. One that you two will be a part of. We're investigating the place that had held the nomu during All Might's last battle."

Ace and Luffy looked surprised. "If it's the League of Villains we're looking at, isn't it strange to bring us, their main target. At least, one of them?"

Nighteye said that it is that reason that they will be helping. "While we are inspecting the nomu, we have some caged that the hero society has requested you try and question it. The school knows of this, as we asked permission. They say your new skill is honed enough to protect you if anything happens.

"We'll be getting ready for it this week." They asked if that was the only reason they were brought back. "Not at all. The criminal activity is slowly rising, and we need to take care of this part of the city and further. You will be instrumental, as you've both proved you can be heroes on your own. Well, with Mirio's help, of course."

They were both relieved that they weren't brought back just so they could be convenient for one mission. "There is also a mission I am trying to get approved. It seems Kurogiri, the one who can create warp portals, is a nomu. And with what happened the last time a nomu attacked you and you defeated them, we're thinking you may be able to get information out of him."

The two nodded, thinking that was possible. "There's a weakness in that. We haven't had anymore nomu to practice on, only humans." The other two students had no idea what they were talking about.

Nighteye said it was worth a try, and they told them to get dressed. Since they went on only one patrol, they'd be going with Mirio. The other students were able to patrol by themselves after over a month of work studies.

The twins nodded. They got in their costumes and went out on the street, being friendly with everybody they passed. The three found a crying, lost child. Luffy crouched and asked what was wrong. It was obvious as he was crying for his mama. "We're heroes, why don't we help you find your mommy?" Luffy asked with a comforting smile. He nodded, tears and snot down his face. He looked maybe five.

They had been training their observation haki as well, though it was training by themselves. They hadn't improved their range, but what they could sense. They could now sense when someone was feeling strong emotions. They knew it was possible when they felt Chisaki become angrier after breaking his mask.

The two searched for someone in distress and found a woman running down the street, shouting for her child and asking if anyone had seen him. The boy saw her and ran to her, crying, "Mama!" while sobbing.

Ace, Luffy and Mirio all smiled when they saw the reunion. The boy pointed at the heroes who'd helped him out, and she came over and thanked him profusely. "It's what heroes do, there's no need to thank us, miss," Ace said politely. "We're just glad we could find you."

They didn't not notice people filming the action. Well, they were filming something good. The little boy asked for a picture with his favorite heroes. Ace and Luffy crouched beside him while Mirio was behind him. He was so short that they had to crouch. They were all smiling. They were asked their hero names.

"Lu, Firefist and Lemillion," Ace replied. "Well, we best be going on our way. I'm happy we found you with no problems." The three walked on their way, back the direction they'd come. The next problem they found was a robbery going on. The doors were locked, so this was Mirio's time to shine. He walked right through the wall and Ace and Luffy watched him render the thief unconscious before calling the police and taking him out of the store while Ace and Luffy went to calm the traumatized cashier.

Ace gave Mirio a zip tie, as he carried those in one of his belt pockets. Nighteye had recommended that. The guy was collected by the police quickly. It seemed he'd been quirkless and so had robbed like a normal person, not using any quirk to his advantage.

They patrolled until it started to get later and they were ordered to return to campus before dark. They got back to the agency and Mirio reported the day's events because the brothers needed to leave. "Sir, thank you for taking us back. It means a lot." Nighteye put a hand on their shoulders.

"It's a pleasure to have you back," he said emphatically with a smile. They grinned and nodded, going to change and then head back to the campus on the slide. They called Gunhead and told them all about their day. He said he'd already seen part of it, as a video of them interacting with a lost child and his mother had been posted on the hero society page, where comments and videos of hero actions went so everyone could watch them.

They already had a couple hundred thousand likes. Ace sighed. "Why are we always popular?"

"At least it's something good, right? And it's not just you two, it's also Lemillion. All of you had kind smiles, and that meant a lot. You're on the track to be great heroes." They both smiled and thanked him before going back down stairs for dinner, which Uraraka and Tsu were cooking as they didn't have work studies that day.

After dinner, they worked on some homework, glad it was a Friday and they had the weekend. They used to have a six day schedule for school, but after all of the stress the students were put under by villains, the school had given them the full weekend off. It was considerate to the students' mental health, and was praised by all of them.

It was 10:00 when they got an email from someone they didn't know. But it was on their hero email that had been created, where they were sent fan mail instead of by paper. It was nameless, though.

They opened it and scowled. It was from someone claiming to be their former mother. I'm so proud of you two for the heroes you've become. I am no longer with your father, and wish to talk to you. I've missed you, and we looked for you for days after we deserted you on the highway. We regretted it from the bottom of our hearts. Please, let me at least talk to you.

-mother

Ace and Luffy glared at the email, but not in anger at the mother that supposedly sent this. "This isn't our former mother. We were dropped off on a dirt road, not the highway. She would have remembered that. It was a deserted road, that's what they wanted. This isn't her, it's someone else," Ace said darkly. "But who would pretend this? And who would know enough about this to get any of it right? Even if a big part of it is wrong, how does anybody know about this?"

Luffy didn't know. "You know what this means?"

Ace nodded. "Time to do a little snooping."

They spent the next hour working on the computer skills they'd learned without Gunhead knowing, since they weren't exactly good skills to have. They'd read many books on this, and remembered it as they had good memories, even if it was from years ago.

The two easily removed their IP address before hacking into whoever had sent that email. It took longer than they expected, but they eventually did it. Whoever's computer it was, they were on it. Ace pressed the record button on the keyboard, and they watched whoever it was work. And they hacked at exactly the right time.

They watched this person send an email to who they thought was their actual mother, threatening to kill them if they didn't give more information. After the message was sent, they closed the email and then entered something password protected. They couldn't see what the password was, as it wasn't shown. But it opened folders of photos of nomu that they hadn't seen before.

In tanks, and large and strange looking. They didn't look like normal nomus, but those like the smart one that had flown at them. While the computer was open, Ace managed to get around the problem of their IP address being blocked, and was able to track it to a place far from the city. They were both holding their breaths, making sure the record was still on. They watched the folders close. Then they opened another email, having been replied to. The mother spilled everything they remembered and knew about their childhood they spent in that "home".

Eventually, the computer shut off. Ace immediately put the video and tracker on three flash drives, and they ran from the dorm, not saying a word. Not even putting on jackets even thought it was raining.

They hurried to the teachers dorm, banging on the door, before they opened the closest window and climbed inside. Nobody was answering fast enough. They shouted for someone, Aizawa or All Might.

Aizawa came in, looking furious and confused. "We found the League of Villains!" he shouted, holding up the flash drives. "We found where they are!" Aizawa was shocked and asked them what they were talking about. But their frantic expressions showed they were telling the truth. Other teachers were there, in pajamas. They were confused and tired.

"Computer! Get a computer!" Ace demanded. Aizawa went upstairs and got his laptop, turning it on. They hurriedly put one of the flash drives inside and opened the video. "We were being emailed by someone who claimed to be our mother, but there were facts that it got wrong. We managed to hack into the computer sending it," Ace explained as all of them watched the recording in shock.

Immediately, they called pretty much everyone about it. The address was clear, though when they looked, there was only a broken home that seemed to be in ruins. It was an old photo, so the building could be changed by now. They wondered why the boys were able to hack in. But nobody expected them to use a regular computer.

They were told to go back to their dorm and they'd contact them the next day. Midnight asked how they'd learned to hack into a computer and get around the fact that the IP address was hidden. They explained that they'd studied it before starting middle school.

"You remembered it?" Vlad King asked. They nodded, saying it was interesting so they remembered it well. They went back to their dorm, given an umbrella for the way back. When they got inside, they laughed, high fiving.

"No fucking way! What is happening?!" Ace shouted. Luffy was laughing. "They got two teenagers to hack into their computer and trace them!" Some others heard the noises from the living room area.

They asked what happened. "We hacked into the League of Villain's computer!" The others were silent before shouts of shock and confusion were made. They went and got their laptop, playing the recording they'd taken.

Kirishima asked how on earth they managed to do that. "We read a really long book about computer hacking before junior high. Gunhead never knew about it, we read it while he was at work," Ace explained. Again, everyone was a bit surprised they remembered.

"Are you kidding me? They were found by two kids hacking into their computer?" Kaminari asked.

"Apparently."

Ashido commented on the scary looking nomu. "They don't look like the normal nomus," she said in worry. The others agreed. "Hey, go back to the part with the photos of the nomu. Maybe we can somehow find where they are in the pictures. Maybe some sort of sign or logo."

The twins did so and they all looked closely at each photo. It was hard to see anything since it was so damn dark. But there was no hint of where that location could possibly be. They sighed in disappointment. "Well, we found their location. We just have to hope they don't know we hacked or they'd leave." The others agreed. "I bet Nighteye will be entertained."

Momo said, "Well, at least you know it's not you parents messaging you after all the abuse they put you through."

Ace looked down. "Is it bad that we're not concerned over her life being in jeopardy? I just feel like it's someone else's problem."

Uraraka said, "They put you through a lot as children. I don't think it's weird you have detached from them at all." They others nodded in agreement. They stayed awake in the common area for a couple hours before they started passing out, dropping like flies. It was one by the time Ace and Luffy fell asleep, all of them snoring on the couches or pillows on the floor. Besides Bakugo and Mineta.

They woke up to Aizawa walking in. "Everyone, get up," he said loudly. A couple rolled over while some did wake up. They were sleepy until they saw who it was. "The police and pro-heroes besides the teachers are going to raid the place the tracker had been showing that laptop. We don't know for sure that it is the League of Villains, but it is likely."

They all sat up at this. "Though we were not happy that you two broke into the teachers building, we are grateful you got us immediately. We'd like Ace and Luffy to respond to the email as if they believe it is their mother. To attempt to throw them off and not suspect who hacked them. Do it immediately."

Ace nodded and got out his phone and then paused. "What if this is their goal? They could do something that would let them track my phone."

"Then use your laptop," Aizawa said. The older twin hurried upstairs and got their laptop and started it up before emailing back.

We have no desire to speak to you. Fuck off.

-your freak children

"Okay, done. If they want to track, it would be useless on our computer. It's always here," Ace said. Luffy nodded. "If they're caught, what an anti-climactic way to go." Aizawa told them not to get their hopes up too high. They always slipped out of their grasp.

He did say, "The nomus in those photos are concerning, though. They are larger and look quite different from the normal ones." They nodded, all of them unsettled with the appearances of those monsters as well. "Ace, Luffy, you said that the smart nomu did not completely follow your orders, correct?"

Luffy nodded. "It didn't kill itself, but it did come forward when Ace told it to. But, that was before we had any practice. It might be different now, though we'd rather not have to find out. I don't think the nomu are in the same place as the League is, according to their laptop. The photos don't look anything like the house that the satellite looks like."

Aizawa agreed that that was most likely the situation. "Hopefully we can find those nomus and kill them before they get out of the tanks they were in. And now we know their weakness thanks to how they killed themselves. Going for the exposed brains seems to be the best way." The students nodded. Then he looked at all of them. "None of you are to take part in the search for the League. Am I understood? The only reason anyone would go is Ace and Luffy to try and control the nomus if they become a problem."

"Yes, sir," the class said.

They all waited impatiently for any news about the raid, if they were still there, if they'd gotten away. Anything new. It was noon when they found out. All Might was the one to break the news to them. "They were no longer there, but there were traces of them staying there very recently. Cups of coffee and food wrappers littered the house. And none of the food or drinks left behind were moldy, meaning they'd been there not long.

"They caught onto the laptop being hacked and left it there. All of the files were deleted and a virus was planted on the computer. It will be no help. But they had been there, we just didn't get there fast enough. It's unfortunate, but not overly surprising."

The class deflated. Well, none of them did get their hopes up too high, but they were unable to not think of a world without the League. They could return home, go off campus when they wanted to. The twins could be safe, finally, and not targeted anymore.

The weekend was sad, and disappointing. They were the only students to know about the close capture. Nobody else knew. But something was nice, something that made Ace and Luffy happy, as well as Mirio. The three were getting very positive reactions to their saving and comforting of a lost child.

Some citizens had said that heroes don't do enough for the little people, the small crimes, and only focused on the big ones. Yet here, three students did just what much of the public had been looking for in heroes. Their containment and capture of a small market being robbed also brought attention. The age of smartphones had them all over the hero society website.

The three even started getting requests to work with other pros, but they each declined politely, saying they already worked for the Nighteye agency. It was after that that somebody leaked the story of their defeat of the Shie Hassaikai, a short video in the distance with Luffy hugging and comforting a small girl high in the air.

"No deaths, no abandonment" was something that started trending with the videos of them posted to twitter. They were glad it wasn't just them anymore. Mirio was included. There was also a short video of Mirio with Eri, comforting her as well. The public seemed to think the three mostly saved children, since that was all they were in the public eye for this time.

On Sunday, the three got a call from a reporter who wanted to cover their story. They asked permission from Aizawa to do so, and he agreed. Ace Luffy and Mirio were in front of the webcamera of Luffy's laptop, all three of them wearing their face coverings, but nothing else since it was only the neck up in the video.

When asked about he major mission, Mirio had replied that they couldn't speak of that, but that it had been a success and they saved a little girl. They were asked about their rescue on the street the other day.

"We helped him because it's our job and we couldn't just leave a crying little boy to himself. So we helped find his mother and reunite them. Honestly, for me, helping him was more satisfying than stopping a burglary. Lu and I want to be a pro-hero pair. Lemillion is our helper at the moment, as he is instructing us how to patrol better," Ace explained.

Luffy was nodding along. Mirio said, "Lu and Firefist are a joy to work with. We all worked together for the big job many weeks ago, so we feel close. It ended up just being the three of us, and we all succeeded together with teamwork."

"What kind of work do you think you'll be doing in the future at Nighteye's agency?" Luffy said they were still training, and since they were already good fighters and had interned at disaster rescuing, the two brothers wanted to get practical training on the streets, just like they did the other day.

Mirio said something similar, that he wanted to learn how to be a leader, saying he felt he was strong enough as well, and also wished to get experience, as much as possible. The interview ended and all three of them let out long sighs.

Ace said, "I wonder who leaked some of the details about the Shie Hassaikai mission." Luffy pointed out that there had to have been people around when everything went down, and must have connected some dots. Or they had a hero that made a mistake and said something to somebody they shouldn't have.

Luffy put the piece of tape over his web camera and took the mask off. "Mirio, what do you think of this? Are you comfortable under the spotlight?" he asked curiously.

Mirio said he was grateful for the public to see him doing his work, getting any attention was great. Well, for good reasons. They had gotten no recognition for the Shie Hassaikai mission due to it being secret. But now that the secret was out, they still wouldn't give away details. "At least they don't know anything about Eri."

"She's coming today, but pretty late. We can all go see her together," the blonde said cheerily, his own helmet off and resting in his lap. The twins nodded excitedly.

So, that night, they hurried to the teachers dorm, where she'd be staying with Nighteye in the same building. But a room just for her was made, with a big, comfortable bed, her own bathroom and many toys and stuffed animals. Only they weren't like the toys she had under Chisaki. These ones were ones she'd shyly requested when looking at a catalogue. So, when they went in her room, she looked up at them with wide eyes. Aizawa had told them the horn that had emitted her quirk had shrunk to a little bump. She stood up and ran to them, hugging them when they crouched to meet her.

Luffy picked her up in a hug. "We missed you. We're so sorry we couldn't come see you," he said sincerely. Ace nodded in agreement. "We've been under house arrest, unable to leave campus for a long time."

She seemed so happy she almost smiled. "Where's that smile?" Ace asked with a grin.

Eri confessed that smiling was hard for her, she didn't remember ever doing it. Mirio said, "Well, we'll just have to fix that somehow, won't we?" They walked to her bed, and she asked them to tell her stories. "We're famous right now! We brought a little lost boy to his mom and everyone was going crazy about it."

"Crazy? Why?"

Ace explained that it was an expression. "When people get really excited, sometimes people define it as crazy, though not in the normal way you'd say it."

"Oh. Do you like it?" she wondered, wide eyes. She was wearing a dress, no longer covered in bandages though she had a lot of scars. It made them angry to see them, but they didn't show that anger.

They each said it was helpful to an extent, letting the general public recognize them for good deeds. "We want to be pro-heroes, so others knowing us for good things should be helpful," Mirio explained. Eri said she was glad for them, unable to say she was happy.

"Eri, do you want to watch a movie?" Ace asked. She asked what a movie was. "It's a story you can watch. Moving pictures and people playing parts. We'll pick a good one, promise. Do you want to?"

She nodded, saying she wanted to try. It didn take long for them to go out to the teacher's common area, which was smaller than the students'. They asked first, if they could watch a movie with her. Midnight said it was fine. They pulled up a girly movie, Tangled, on the smart TV. They got popcorn and sat on the couch or the fluffy carpet beneath it.

The little girl was entranced, watching it with wide eyes. Once it was over, she said she liked it. "She was trapped, but then she was saved and went on adventures. Like you all. I was trapped, and you came and saved me!"

They didn't intend that when they picked that movie, but it was true. "You have a bright future ahead of you, Eri. We know it. It's getting pretty late, how about bed time? You'll be to bed happy, thinking of Rapunzel. She's a strong woman, and you will be, too. I'm sure of it," Luffy said sincerely.

An almost smile was made. "We'll visit you soon, okay? Then we can watch another movie. We'll pick out a good one again," Mirio promised. She nodded and they helped let her get ready for bed before giving their goodnights. "Sweet dreams, Eri."

She nodded, looking cozy under the blankets. "I'll be happy, I'll try." Luffy told her there was no rush and she didn't have to force herself. "Okay." The three left, happy and feeling light. They could see it, see a happy Eri in the future. They weren't too interested in princess movies, but she liked this one, so they'd pick out another one.

Lol, yes, I had the LoV hacked because in the anime they're completely inept imo. All idiots.
