Big Mike was many things, as anyone could attest to. He was a fierce leader, that would die for the Buy More, if need be. He loves his Subway subs more than most people probably do, and he's at the end of the day, a family man, despite never having any kids of his own. The idea of raising a baby had never appealed to him, though having an adult stepson wasn't something that bothered him.

He's taken to caring for Morgan in a way very befitting of a father, caring for his stepson with the attentive support of a father, full of advice and good cheer to help his son make it through difficult decisions or semi-difficult ones, rather. Really, Big Mike already knew when he'd told Morgan to kiss Alex, that the man would choose her, would be willing to overlook his fear of Casey to date the other man's daughter.

Honestly, Big Mike was proud of him. And, sometimes he doesn't even know just how much his advice really means to Morgan. Just how, the young man will not just live out that advice but pass it on, when Morgan's best friend is trying to work through a difficult situation. And really, the advice to just kiss someone might not seem so grand, but perhaps in it's simplicity, it is powerful.

Big Mike isn't just a family man, but a man of his heart as well, determined to follow it's flow in the right directions. And naturally, that led him to not just remarry, but to marry a woman that had a grown son, without the major worry or concern that sudden parenthood could strike in a man of lesser heart. Big Mike knew he wanted to be with Morgan's mom, and the worry over suddenly being the father figure to one of his employees was a passing one.

And, it sort of turned out that Big Mike was not as terrible at being a dad to an adult son, as he feels he would be at raising an infant son. Big Mike had lived his share of life and knew just what advice ultimately would have helped him out at that age, and also, just what kind of companionship that fatherhood required. It was different than normal friendship, personable and comforting in a way that's seldom anticipated, and sometimes fatherhood is difficult.

But Big Mike does love his new wife, and he'll continue to be there for her son as the father figure that Morgan truly needs.
