Episode 26: The Ghost of Maiden's Peak

One moonlit night, there is a tall cliffside, and on the cliff is a figure of a young woman that has a red flower in her stone hair. Suddenly, that same girl begins to appear outside of the statue in the form of a ghost.

Then the voice of a young woman calls out, "I've been waiting for you. Come back to me. Return to your beloved."

Suddenly, the voice changes to a male, "I'm waiting for you."

The ghost then changes form into a purple round ghost that begins laughing.

The very next day, a blow horn of a boat blows, and a ship is making its way to port. Last time, Hana and her friends were on a small boat sailing from the resorts of Porta Vista to continue their Pokemon Journey.

Suddenly, Diana seems something up ahead, "Hey! Look over there!"

The group then looks to see their next stop.

"Great! That must be Maiden's Peak, that's where we get off," Hana says.

"According to the guide book, they said that the reason why it's called it was because a stone that is shaped like a young maiden that stood where the cliff is," Akira says, reading the book.

"Really?" Hana asks.

"Yeah," Akira replies.

"I heard of the story, too, it's actually a sad one. I'm sure we can find someone to explain it to you. Especially today," Chase says.

"How so?" Diana asks.

"Well, it's the end of summer so the Summer's End Festival will be in progress," Chase says.

Confused, Hana, Akira, and Diana say, "Summer's End Festival?"

"Pika Pika?" (What's that?) The two Pikachus ask.

Meanwhile, not far behind, Team Rocket is still sitting in the barrel that is still tied to the stern of the ship. They are still moping about what happened back at Porta Vista.

"We're really at the end of our rope!" Meowth says.

James whines, "No room, no room service."

"Stop whining. We don't have a cent and at least this beats swimming," Jessie bluntly says.

Later, the ferry stops at the port and everyone leaves the ship, including Hana and her friends.

Suddenly, the announcer on the speaker says, "Maiden's Peak welcomes the passengers arriving from Porta Vista! We invite you all to attend our annual Summer's End Festival, now in progress!"

"So that's what the festival is about?" Hana asks.

"Yeah. I actually went here when I was little one time, but it's nice to come here again," Chase says.

"It looks like fun! Let's check it out!" Diana says.

"Yeah. I'm sure it will be lots of fun," Akira says.

He then turns his head and notices something or someone, "Huh? Who's that?"

What he sees is a young woman that has long light purple hair, and wears a white dress, a blue rock necklace, and a flower on her head.

Akira says, "She looks… kind of sad…"

Akira begins to walk to see who the person is like he doesn't have control of himself. Before he can, a few people bump into him causing him to fall over. Alistair blink his eyes with a confused look and turns to see the girl himself However, it changes to a round ghost and disappears.

Akira sits up and says, "Hey. She's gone!"

"Pikachu?" (What was that?) Alistair replies, confused.

Akira thinks, "Who was she? And why does she seem so familiar?"

Hana walks over and asks, "Are you okay?"

"Chu," (Yeah.) Pikachu says.

"I'm okay," Akira says.

He then picks up Alistar with a smile and says, "Let's go to the festival, shall we?"

"Pikachu!" (Yay, a festival!) Alistair happily says.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket pulls themselves from the docks to see the festival.

"There's a festival!" James says.

Jessie chuckles and says, "People spend a lot of money at these festivals, but they never pay attention, so they drop their change all over the place!"

"Meowth want a cotton candy!" Meowth happily says.

"Money is sweeter," James says.

James then turns his head to see a young woman from the distance, and it's the same one Akira has seen not long ago.

James falls instantly in love, "Sweet!"

Jessie smacks him on the head and says, "Snap out of it! Stop daydreaming! That festival is waiting and I can smell money!"

Then runs off.

Meowth hurries after her, "I can smell corn dogs."

James then turns his head to see she has disappeared.

Meanwhile, the festival is taking place. There is dancing, music, parades, and lots of tasty food too. Hana, and her friends are having a blast and having snacks. Akira is having fun, but can't stop thinking about who he has seen.

Akira says to himself, "That girl. She has her face. She reminds me of her."

Hana and the others come to a stop to see the concerned look Akira has on his face.

Suddenly, the voice of an elder woman calls out, "Hey, you there!"

Akira turns around to see an elderly woman with long white hair and wears a purple robe and carries a staff.

Akira kneels down and asks, "Is there anything I can help you ma'am."

"Is more like what I can help you with," The old woman says.

He holds a magnifying glass to Akira's face and says, "Beware, in your future I see a beautiful young woman. Or you'll meet a cruel fate."

"What do you mean by cruel fate?" Akira asks.

"I hope she isn't talking about us," Diana says.

"Nah, we'd never hurt Akira," Hana says.

The old woman says, "I was talking about an elegant young woman, not fine young girls such as yourselves."

The two girls sigh in relief.

Akira says, "Well uh, thank you and I'll try to keep it in mind."

Akira then leaves with the others as he says, "So long."

The group then leaves, leaving the old woman behind. However, Akira still wonders what the old woman means, a beautiful woman he needs to be aware of, and what cruel fate she is talking about. Hana turns her head to see the old woman. Suddenly changes to some dark purple orb ghost and disappears. Hana becomes confused and for some reason has chills down her spine.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is trying to look for loose change on the ground. Yet, their search is very think

Jessie screams, "Nothing! There's no money anywhere at this festival!"

"Not a quarter, nickel, or dime! Not even a penny!" James adds with the same expression.

Meowth turns to them, and asks, "What kind of cheap festival is this? We gotta keep looking till we find something!"

Sure enough, James sees a penny on the ground and picks it up, "A penny!"

Suddenly, a voice of an old woman says, "Hold it right there!"

James turns his head to see the old woman Akira and the others have seen earlier.

James says, "I dropped this."

"I've been watching you, you're up to know good! And there's no good in your future," The old woman says, holding a magnifuglass at James.

James leans forward and asks, "Who? The police? The sheriff? The FBI?"

"I see a young and beautiful woman who will lead you to a cruel fate," The old woman says.

"What does that mean?" Jessie asks, confused.

"Who knows?" Meowth replies.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice, "Good afternoon. I'm with the local police department and I know exactly what you all are doing."

They soon see Officer Jenny, and they begin to panic, due to their villainous career.

Jenny then walks to James and says, "I see you found some change that someone dropped. Whenever money's lost, even a penny, it must be reported to the authorities."

As she speaks, James then puts the penny in Jenny's hand.

Jenny stands and says, "Thanks for being such an observant citizen. Now, if you'll just follow me, we'll file a report at the station."

"The station?" James asks, panicking.

Jessie panics and says, "We don't want to get in your way, so why don't you go ahead and file it without us and keep the change?"

She picks up James and Meowth and leaves as she calls out, "Bye-bye!"

A little time later, Hana and her friends are at the shrine on the Maiden. Team Rocket is there too. Along with many other people who come to see it.

The priest of the shrine says, "Welcome! To celebrate the Summer's End Festival, we will now display the Shrine of the Maiden's greatest treasure! For two-thousand years, this painting has hung within the Shrine of the Maiden. Once each year, it is removed from the shrine and displayed to the public during this festival. As I unveil the painting, please gaze with reverence."

He then removes the cloth to reveal the painting much to everyone's amazement.

Jessie asks, "Who's that?"

"She's cute," Meowth replies.

Everyone continues to see the painting of the Maiden.

James gasps, "It's her!"

Akira says in shock, "But, it can't be!"

Akira and James are completely shocked to see the panning to the maiden is actually the same girl they've seen earlier today, and still holds the sad sad smile in her eyes.

Without thinking, Akira walks forward, "She is very familiar, and I think I know why now."

Just them, James walks forward and says in a daze, "She's the girl of my dreams, don't wake me up!

Akira and James approach the painting with a strong gaze.

But the priest stops him, "Stay back! The woman in this painting perished over two-thousand years ago."

"Two-thousand years?" Akira replies.

Then the priest says, "She was in love with a brave and handsome young man, but he left her and sailed away to fight in a war. The maiden cries out, 'I'll wait for you forever! Come back to me! Farewell!' And she did wait for a very long time, hoping to see his ship on the horizon. But her true love never returned to that place again. Still, she waited and waited, never moving from that spot. Until, finally, her body was turned into stone, just like the cliff upon which she stood. To this day, she waits for her love to return."

Hana sadly says, "That's so sad."

"It is. Where is Maiden's rock?" Akira replies.

"Maiden's Rock is not far from this shrine," The priest says.

Sometime later, our heroes and Team Rocket are able to find the rock easily. Of course, they are standing at different sides of the statue.

"So this is Maiden's rock," Hana replies.

"Yeah. And yet, I can still feel deep sadness," Akira sadly says.

On the other side James reaches out for her, "I don't care if she's made of stone, I'm still in love with her!"

Akira then says, "I do hope that one day her true love does return and she can finally be able to rest in peace."

James calls out, "No one would ever steal her from me! Not even Team Rocket! I'll fight them to keep her safe!"

As James speaks, Jessie holds on to him with an annoyed expression on her face.

Jessie says, "James, you're insane! Why would we steal a thing like that?!"

Then Meowth says, "We could steal that other thing!"

"What thing?" Jessie asks.

"Pokemon are valuable, but so are works of art! Let's swipe the painting!" Meowth says.

Jessie unknowingly lets go of James and says, "If we grab that painting, we could make a bundle!"

Suddenly, James screams, "Jessie! Jessie! Before you grab it, grab hold of me!"

Jessie quickly grabs hold of James, but they both fall over the edge and fall into the water.

Meowth shakes his head, "Team Rocket is really slippin."

Later in the night, Akira decides to pray to the statue and Hana and the others join to pay their respects. Once they're done, they decide to leave the cliff.

"Thanks guys. And sorry. I thought it would be nice to pay my respects," Akira says.

"That's okay. It's nice to pay our respects to the maiden," Chase says.

Diana says, "Yeah, let's go back to the festival, and have some fun."

The group then head off to the festival, unknown to them a ghostly figure of the maiden appears out of the statue and turns with a smile, and her eyes are setting on Akira.

Sometime later, the group are in a room at the Pokemon Center. They are all dressed in their pajamas for the night. Suddenly, Alistair sees a small box in Chase's backpack and picks it up.

"Pika? (What's this?) Alistair asks.

Akira takes the box with a smile, "Sorry Alistair, but you can't play with it. It's not yours."

"Pika," (Sorry.) Alistair sadly says.

Chase walks over, "I know you didn't mean to, and it's actually a good thing you got it out."

"Why?" Diana asks.

"I'll show you," Chase says, taking the box and sitting on the bed.

Hana and the others and the two Pikachus sit on the bed. Chase opens the small box to reveal a that looks like it's made of silver, and there is a small flower, petals made of red rubies and the center a yellow topaz. It may look old, but also brand new with a chain on it.

"It's beautiful," Diana says.

"What is it?" Hana asks.

"Remember the soldier that the maiden loved that has to leave to fight in war? This ring was actually supposed to be for her," Chase says.

The group gasps in shock.

"Really?" Akira asks.

"Yeah. This ring was passed down to my family for generations. According to legend, my ancestor was a soldier in a war. He was friends with the soldier named Tanjiro and they fought the war together because their nation are allies. The soldier told my ancestor that he is fighting to protect his home and to be sure his true love can have a good life until he returns. He had this ring made for her and kept it with him until he can give it to him. Sadly, the war was more brutal and died. Before he did, he asked my ancestor to please make sure this ring get's to his Maiden, Miyoko. Sadly, it never did. My father gave this ring to me, hoping I can come to Maiden's Peak to make sure the necklace is brought to his true love," Chase says.

"So The soldier, Tanjiro was going to propose to the maiden, Miyoko, but died before he could," Hana sadly says.

"That's very sad," Diana sadly says.

Hana then asks, "Maybe we can go see the Maiden and give her the necklace. It seems right that the maiden knows her soldier still loves her."

"I agree. Let's do it first thing tomorrow," Chase says.

Later on, Team Rocket is sleeping in sleeping bags that are tied to a rope on a tree. Suddenly, an alarm goes off waking meowth.

"What time is it?" Meowth says, feeling tired.

When he looks at the clock, Meowth fully wakes up and says, "Wake up! Time to steal the painting! Wake up, you two!"

But Jessie and James are still sleeping

Jessie says in her sleep, "Our beauty sleep.."

"Beautiful. I must meet you. I'm coming to you," James adds, sleepy.

Suddenly, the wind picks up fast making Meowth yelp. Suddenly, the doors to the shrine opens and a mysterious figure is inside and begins to leave.

Confused, Meowth asks, "What's that?"

What Meowth is seeing is a ghost that looks like the Maiden. Meowth screams in fright. Suddenly, the ghost uses some strange power to make Meowth sleepy.

Feeling tired, Meowth says, "Must be dreaming. Back to sleep. Meowth."

Then falls back to sleep.

The ghost floats to where Team Rocket is and calls out, "My love. I'm waiting for you."

And the voice soon wakes James up, "Who said that? Who are you?"

James looks down to see the Maiden smiling at him.

James surprisingly says, "It's you! So it really was you!"

Meanwhile at the Pokemon Center, Akira is still up and can't seem to get his thoughts about the maiden.

Akira thinks, "It's been a long time since I've seen a face like her. The Maiden… she reminds me of…"

Flashback:

When Akira is a kid, he is crying as he sees a woman with long hair the same color of his and a similar face of the Maiden is laying on a bed, like she is asleep. However, the young Akira knows that she isn't sleeping at all.

Young Akira shed tears as he cries out, "Mom… Mom… No!"

Flashback Ends:

Akira is still laying in bed and thinks, "Seeing the Maiden's face, it makes me miss you… mom."

Suddenly, a voice of a young woman says, "I've been waiting for you, for such a long time."

Akira sits up from bed and looks to see the ghost of the maiden.

"It's you! It's really you!" Akira says.

The Ghost nods her head and then uses some strange power on Akira, making the man gasp a little. Soon, his eyes become hazy and Akira falls into a daze. The Maiden floats to Akira and places her hands on his shoulders. Soon, they disappear into thin air.

The next day, Hana and the others discover Akira is gone, and figures he must be at the shrine, so it's the first place they go to.

Hana calls out, "Akira!"

"Akira?! Where are you?!" Diana calls out.

"Are you here, Akira?!" Chase calls out.

Pikachu calls out, "Pikachu?!" (Where are you, Akira?!)

"Pikachu!" (Daddy!) Alistair calls out.

On the other side of the shrine, Jessie and Meowth are looking for James who also disappeared.

Jessie calls out, "James?! James?! If you're not here, at least come and tell us!"

"That's right!" Meowth replies.

"Hey, Akira?!" Hana calls out.

Soon enough the two pirates meet up and turn to see each other.

"Oh!" Jessie exclaims.

Hana exclaims, "You again!"

Of course, their meeting isn't a pleasant one.

"Yuck!" Jessie says in disgust.

"Double yuck!" Hana replies.

"I finally found you!" Jessie says.

Then remembers, "Oh, wait a minute! None of you are the one I'm looking for!"

Confused, Hana asks, "Hey, are you looking for somebody, too?"

Jessie clears her throat and does the Team Rocket motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble

Jessie (Imitating James):

And make it double.

Then Jessie mutters, "Doing this by myself is a real drag."

Hana and the others become confused, of course, they come to realize who they're looking for.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation

Jessie (Imitating James):

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love..

Suddenly, James' voice appears.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie stops to hear James' voice and begins to look around. Yet, she then continues with the motto.

Jessie:

Jessie?

James:

James.

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now,

Suddenly, everyone turns to the shrine as the doors open and James flies out.

James:

or prepare to fight!

James soon falls to the ground, and Jessie and Meowth are shocked.

"He looks awful!" Jessie exclaims.

"Worse than usual!" Meowth adds.

Just then, Akira falls out and hits the ground, and he is knocked out.

"Brock, too!" Chase says.

Soon, the two hurry to Akira with Diana and the two Pikachu's behind.

Hana shakes him, "Akira, what happened?"

Alistair shakes him, "Pikachu," (Daddy, wake up!)

Akira wakes up and grabs, "Ow, my head."

"Pika," (Daddy!) Alistair happily says, jumping on Akira's shoulder.

Suddenly, James grabs Jessie's leg

Jessie then grabs James by his shirt and shakes him, "What do you think you're doing?"

Suddenly, the old woman appears, "So, everything turned out just as I predicted."

Everyone turns their heads to see the old woman from the other day.

"It's the old woman," Chase says, surprisingly.

The old woman says, "Obviously, these two have both seen the ghost of the Maiden."

Everyone exclaims, "Ghost of the Maiden?"

James suddenly says that he loves the maiden.

Hana groans, "Great. He's possessed."

Then turns her head, "Pikachu."

Pikachu then gives James a thunder shock, but also ends up getting Akira too. And that ends up waking them both up.

"Sheesh, Pikachu. Careful with that thunderbolt," Akira says.

Akira shakes his head and looks around the area, "Hold on, how did I get here?"

"You mean you don't remember?" Diana asks.

"Not at all," Akira says.

James then stands up and says, "I'm James from Team Rocket."

Then James begins to act weird.

"He's back," Jessie says.

"But not to normal," Meowth replies.

In the shrine, the woman explains, "All men who pass this way fall under her spell. It's always the same story over and over, we find them here acting like zombies with the life sucked out of them, babbling like idiots. It's the work of that maiden's ghost! Still waiting for her young soldier to return! It's just as I warned you."

"So is it possible that the maiden brought me to the shrine?" Akira says, confused.

James begins to get scared, "I'm scared! You got to do something!"

"There's only one thing we can do," The old woman says.

Soon, everyone becomes confused.

"We have stickers," The woman says, holding stickers.

Then puts them on James and Akira's faces.

The old woman adds. These are anti-ghost stickers. However…"

"What's the catch?" Chase asks.

Suddenly, a cash register appears.

And the old woman says, "I can't just give these stickers away for free."

Hana looks at the old woman and again, feeling a strange chill down her spine.

Time has gone by and Hana and her friends are sticking the stickers all over the shrine.

"Oh well, if it's the only thing that'll help," Hana says

"We'll stick stickers all over the place!" Diana says.

In the house, Diana, Pikachu, and Alistair are sticking stickers on Akira while Jessie and Meowth do the same for James.

"This'll really work, right?" James worriedly asks.

Jessie then puts the sticker on James' mouth, "Shut your mouth!"

Later in the night, Akira and James are sitting on a small platform while Hana and the others wait.

Jessie asks, "Will she come?"

"Oh, she'll come!" Meowth says.

"This better work!" Diana says.

Chase says, "Let's hope."

Outside the wind picks up again and it blows the stickers away.

The old woman turns her head, "She's here!"

The doors blow open and the ghost of the maiden appears.

"The Maiden," Akira says.

The Maiden says, "I've been waiting for you."

"You have?" Akira asks.

James begins to scream, "I'm scared! Really really scared!"

"I wanted to meet you," The Maiden says.

Soon, Akira begins to get hypnotized, "And I you."

Soon, Akira and James begin to levitate and are being carried away.

"Akira!" Hana excalims.

"Pikachu!" (Daddy!) Alistair screams.

James grabs the railing and screams, "Why?! Why aren't the stickers working?!"

"Maybe because.." Meowth admits.

"We got them.." Jessie says.

Then they both say, "For free."

"Free? What do you mean free?" James asks, shocked.

"A two-for-one deal. We got one set free for every set they bought. It was a real bargain," Jessie says.

"You used freebies?" James asks, shocked.

"Oops," Jessie replies.

James screams, "I can't believe you're letting that ghost get me just because both so cheap!"

"You don't want to go?" Jessie asks.

James screams, "Of course I don't want to go! I don't want to go!

James lets go of the railing and begins to float away, "I don't want to go! I don't want to go!"

Soon, James and Akira are being carried to the maiden.

Hana screams, "Grab him!"

"Wait, Akira!" Diana calls out.

"Pika! (Daddy!) Alistair cries out.

Soon, everyone grabs Akira's arms.

That's when Akira snaps out of the spell, "Huh? What's going on?"

"Don't worry, we got you," Chase says.

The group then pulls Akira back to the ground.

James continues to be carried away as he screams, "I don't want to go!"

Suddenly, something fires at the Maiden and makes her drop James into the water. Turns out it's really Jessie with a bazooka.

Jessie shouts in anger, "Hey, girl! You can't take him! You haven't got a ghost of a chance!"

Soon, they hear a sound and look to see James climbing on the rocks after he splash into the water.

James happily says, "You really do care!"

But Jessie says, "It's not cause of you. Girls like her disgust me. Always waiting around for her man as if her were his faithful pet. She can't stand the thought of losing him. She cries. But I'd say 'see ya later!' There are plenty more fish in the sea."

"I could sure go for some fish," Meowth says.

"Don't you think that's a bit harsh?" Hana asks.

"You'll understand when you grow up," Jessie says.

Suddenly the Maiden says, "I've been waiting! You cannot interfere!"

Hana soon feels the strange chill from her spine. At the same time, the ghost begins to create a strong wind, and multiple skull-like ghosts appear and attack them. Everyone panics and stays close together.

"What are those things?" Diana asks.

"I don't think they are Pokemon." Hana says, bringing out her Pokedex.

Dexter says, "No Pokemon entry found."

"Of course not," Hana says.

Soon, the ghosts begin to fly all over the place. Hana looks around to see the old woman isn't around.

Suddenly, she then hears Dexter says, "Still searching…"

That's when it hits Hana's. She realizes something strange about the maiden since she appears.

She quickly points her Pokedex at the ghost and Dexter says, "Pokemon entry found. Ghastly, a Ghost Pokemon. It is usually invisible. It's specialty is hypnosis."

"So that's it. That ghost is really a Pokemon!" Hana says.

Suddenly, the Maiden says, "So you finally figured it out. Sometimes I'm the ghost of the two-thousand year old maiden.."

Then changes to the old woman, "And sometimes I'm the mysterious old woman! But, no matter what the disguise, I'll always be…"

The old woman swirls around and gathers the skulls. Then changes to it's true Pokemon form.

"Awfully Ghastly," Ghastly says.

"So you were the ones who hypnotized Akira, James, and anyone else who came to Maiden's Peak," Hana says.

"Quite right young one. My hypnotic powers can work on other Pokemon, too. Including your friend!" Ghastly says.

"Pika!" (Why you…) Alistair angrily says.

"But why are you doing this?" Diana asks.

"I enjoy keeping alive all the old legends that people have forgotten over the years. And if I do a good job of it, I make a few bucks as well," Ghastly says, and brings a registrar appear.

"I see," Akira says, annoyed.

Ghastly then senses something odd and floats to the group. Team Rocket stands back in fear, but Ghastly seems interested in Hana and her friends.

"Hmm, I sensed something spiritual energy, especially from this young man," Ghastly says, floating to Chase.

"Me?" Chase says, confused.

Hana then remembers, "Chase, the ring!"

"That's right," Chase says.

Then takes it from his backpack.

"Chase has the ring from the soldier who loved the maiden. He died in the way, but wants to at least make sure that his Maiden gets this ring," Akira says.

Chase then opens it to reveal the ring inside.

Ghastly nods his head, "I see… very well. I'll allow you to give it to the Maiden. I sensed something particular."

Akira walks to Chase, "I'll do it. It might be dangerous."

"Thanks Akira," Chase says.

Chase gives the ring on it's chain to Akira and the man walks to the cliff. He jumps on the rock of the maiden and climbs on it. He then has the necklace placed around her neck. Then Akira jumps back on to land. Suddenly, the ring begins to glow catching everyone's attention.

"What's happening?" Akira asks.

Suddenly, the light begins to disappear as the true ghost of the Maiden leaves her statue. She then smiles to see a ghost of a man dressed in armor floats towards her. Then removes his mask to reveal a man that has brown eyes and black hair.

The male ghost says, "Miyoko."

The Maiden's ghost smiles, "Tanjiro!"

The two ghosts then embrace either other.

"That ghost is the Maiden's lover," Hana says.

"Aww," Diana happily says.

The Maiden, Miyoko says, "My love, you have come back to me at last!"

"My love. I've waited for so long to return to you," The soldier, Tanjiro says.

"But my love, where have you been this whole time?" Miyoko asks.

"After I died, I placed my engagement ring on you, so that I can rest, but it was never brought to you. And so, I've been trapped inside until your ring can be brought back to you," Tanjiro says.

"Engagement ring?" Miyoko asks.

"Yes. I've waited 2 thousands years and will wait more to say this. I love you Miyoko and I've missed you since I had to leave. Miyoko my love, will you marry me and become my wife for all eternity," Tanjigo says.

Miyoko smiles and says, "Yes my love, I will marry you."

The two embrace each other with the power of their love. Hana and her friends smile and Team Rocket actually begins to cry. The ring suddenly appears on Miyoko's finger

The Maiden turns to Ghastly, "Thank you Ghastly, for all that you did for me over the years."

Then Tanjiro turns to the trainers, "And thank you all, for returning me back to my love."

Hana and her friends smile.

"We're glad that we're able to help," Hana says.

"And after all these years, you both finally will have an ending to your story, you both deserve," Ghastly says.

The Maiden says, "Thank you all, and goodbye."

The Maiden and her soldier soon disappear and hopefully move on to where they can live happily.

Hana turns to Ghastly, "So Ghastly, what will you do now?"

"Well I am a ghost Pokemon, and I made it my job to travel around to help wandering springs and to help continue their legends. Maybe someday, we shall meet again. No not forget the Ghost of the Maiden. She and the old woman will be here again next year as well," Ghastly says.

Then Ghastly vanishes as the bells begin to ring. Hana and her friends then wave goodbye.

Hana says, "Bye Ghastly, hope we can come back to the festival someday."

Soon, the group watches as the sun begins to rise to start the next day.

A day has gone by and the night falls on Maiden's Peak. The citizens of Maiden's Peak and our heroes set boats with lanterns on them and set them out to sea.

Officer Jenny says, "At the end of every summer, the visitors send out these tiny boats. Each one with a candle to help light the way for any wandering spirits who can't find their way back home."

Suddenly, Hana and her friends notice that one of the small boats with the Maiden's flower on the side of the lantern has the Ghost of the Maiden and her lover on it. The two spirits wave goodbye to Hana and her friends. Soon, Hana and the others wave goodbye, to see the Maiden and her lover are setting off to have the happiness they waited for so long.

A little time later everyone is at the festival having fun, dancing, playing, and wearing kimonos. Team Rocket is celebrating the festival as well, Jessie and James are playing the drums.

"I think I'm doing a bang-up job!" James says.

Then Jessie says, "Let's drum up some fun!"

"Do de do de do de do.." Meowth plays the flute.

Hana is sitting close by wearing a white kimono with a green sash around her waist. She is also wearing a fin that looks like a Kirla's fin on its head.

"A ghost Pokemon. Gastly," Hana says, looking at her Pokedex.

"Pikachu," (Pretty spooky.) Pikachu replies.

Just then, Diana walks over with Akira and Chase.

Diana says, "Sorry we're late."

Hana looks to see all three are wearing Kimonos. Akira is wearing a blue one. Chase is wearing a black one. Diana is wearing a purple and pink kimono.

Diana says, "You look great."

"Thanks. Although, I never wore one before," Hana says.

"Come on, let's go dance," Chase says.

"Sure," Hana says.

"You too, Pikachu!" Diana says.

"Pika!" (Okay!) Pikachu says.

Hana, her friends and the two Pikachu begin to dance with everyone in the festival. The Summer Festival is drawn to a close and autumn is going to blow in the air. Now that the Maiden and her lover are together, they can have the pace they deserve. Hana and her friends will also continue with their Pokemon Journey for the rest of the year. As the journey continues.

Author's Note: I thought it will be sweet if the Maiden gets to see her lover again. Plus, thought it will be nice to name them.
