A/N: And this chapter is similar to what happened in the original, but a bit different. :)

Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman

Chapter 5: A Change of Pace

In the bedroom, Dave went in and wasted no time confiscating Alvin's monster stuff ranged from a piece of paper saying, "Alvin's monster stuff; Do not touch!" with a skull and bones on it to just about every monster toy and every monster poster just as Alvin and Amy walked in with the former becoming horrified.

"D-Dave, what are you doing?!", Alvin exclaimed.

"This monster mania of yours has gotten completely out of control. As of now, your monster days are over.", Dave began.

"What?!", Alvin exclaimed before gasping a few times at each part of his punishment as Amy grew worried for Alvin.

"No movies, no models, no 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'.", Dave added just as the full moon shone its lunar light from on Amy's hand from the window, making it glow a purple mark with a paw and three claws (one for each paw finger) on the back of her hand, puzzling her as Amy saw it before the mark then disappeared just as Dave had finished confiscating all of Alvin's monster stuff and was now walking out of the bedroom.

"You're going cold turkey.", Dave spoke as he walked out before Alvin fell on his knees and knelt down for a moment.

"Uh, Alvin...? Are you okay?", Amy asked before Alvin quickly leaned back up and screamed at the top of his lungs as if in response.

"NOOOOOOO!", Alvin shouted one despair.

The next morning, Mr. Rochelle didn't exactly take the news well either.

"NOOOOOOO!", Mr. Rochelle shouted as Principal Milliken shook her head while she, Amy, and Dave were next to him.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Rochelle, but Mr. Seville and I agree that it's for Alvin's own good!", Principal Milliken responded as she helped Mr. Rochelle up.

"But what about the good of the play? I mean, I mean Alvin knows Mr. Hyde. Alvin... Alvin lives Mr. Hyde! Alvin is Mr. Hyde!", Mr. Rochelle responded.

"Yes, well, that's the whole problem.", Dave responded.

"Yeah. The fact that Alvin used that darn chemical set yesterday proves it.", Amy added in agreement before Nathan stepped in.

"Mr. Rochelle, I could do it.", Nathan assured as he shoved a couple of people out of the way.

"You can't have that role!", Amy only shouted.

"What...?", Nathan growled.

"You can't...", Amy began before Mr. Rochelle interrupted.

"A-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup! We'll take that under consideration. Thank you, Nathan.", Mr. Rochelle spoke before then turning to Ms. Milliken.

"Ms. Milliken, I'm gonna have to go with Amy on this one. Please tell me you have someone else in mind.", Mr. Rochelle spoke.

"As a matter of fact, yes. Someone whose self-esteem could use a little boost.", Ms. Milliken responded.

"Wait. Do you mean...?", Amy began before quickly realizing who she was talking about just as the principal whispered into Mr. Rochelle's ear.

"Theodore?", Amy and Mr. Rochelle puzzled at the same time.

"I'm not sure exactly where you're going with this, but okay.", Amy spoke before Mr. Rochelle spoke up.

"Theodore! I am going to make you a star!", Mr. Rochelle spoke before Theodore gasped from the news.

Later, at home, Theodore had doubts.

"I-I'm telling you. I can't do it!", Theodore spoke in doubt before Eleanor spoke up in assurance.

"Sure you can, Theodore! I'll help you.", Eleanor assured.

"We all will.", Dave assured.

"But look at all these lines!", Theodore exclaimed.

"That's why Mr. Rochelle is having me play Dr. Jekyll, and you, the evil Mr. Hyde.", Simon responded in assurance.

"Dave, do you really think I'm the Mr. Hyde type?", Theodore asked.

"Well, maybe this'll help you to get in touch with that part of yourself.", Dave grinned.

"C'mon, Theodore. It'll be fun. We'll have scenes together.", Eleanor grinned.

"Yeah. You two seem really perfect for each other.", Amy grinned.

"And you're sure Alvin's okay with this?", Theodore asked.

"Let's just say he's doing as well as can be expected.", Dave responded.

Frankly, Alvin was going crazy as he rocked back and forth while sitting on the floor of the bedroom.

"All alone... no friends..., no family..., no monsters! The walls are...closing in on me! I... I can't breathe! I can't think! What do I do?! How can I survive?!", Alvin exclaimed in panic before noticing a piece of candy on the floor.

"Cool. A candy mint.", Alvin grinned before he stood up, picked the piece up, tossed it up, and ate it as it landed in his mouth before sadly going closer to the window just as Theodore was waving goodbye to Eleanor as she returned home outside.

"Goodbye, Theodore.", Eleanor waved as she left.

"Bye, Eleanor.", Theodore spoke before a mail truck arrived with the driver handing a package to Theodore.

"Here you go, son.", the mailman spoke.

"Thank you.", Theodore responded, carrying the package before the mailman closed the door and left with Alvin getting excited.

"Oh, yes! Life is worth living!", Alvin shouted excitedly before then peeping out the window to speak to Theodore.

"Theodore! Uh, that's for me. I-I'll take it.", Alvin whispered.

"W-Well..., it's not for monster stuff, is it?", Theodore asked.

"Theodore, that really hurts. That book, 'How to find happiness in a monster-free world', is an important part of... my therapy.", Alvin responded.

"Oh. Well, okay.", Theodore grinned before Alvin got out his fishing rod and then lowered the bottom of the rod toward Theodore.

"Hook it on, pal. Time's a'wastin'.", Alvin spoke before Theodore then placed the hook on the rope before Alvin then reeled the package up with a laugh before then placing it in front of him as he licked his mouth with his tongue in anticipation.

"Come to Papa.", Alvin spoke as he then removed the hook from the rope, opened it up, and tore through his package, which had a Monster Book of Monster Facts inside it as Alvin eagerly picked it up, not yet knowing about a crystal necklace just below the book.

"Oh, oh, yes! Life is sweet.", Alvin laughed before Theodore then walked away with a grin.

After that, Alvin noticed the necklace, picked it up, and just tossed it aside, inadvertently hurtling it toward Theodore before it landed on his head, bonking him.

"Ow!", Theodore spoke before he turned around, saw the necklace and picked it up.

"Hey... I'll bet Eleanor would like this.", Theodore spoke before putting it in his pocket and walking back inside just as Simon then suddenly burst into the bedroom with a box in hand, taking Alvin aback and quickly urging him to hide the book.

"Monster check!", Simon spoke up as Alvin did so before "scolding" him.

"Oh, well, that is just fine! I'm on a monster-free diet and you have the nerve!", Alvin scolded.

"Spread 'em!", Simon urged before he practically pinned Alvin against the wall as he put his hands on the wall.

"Hey! Aren't I entitled to a phone call?", Alvin asked before pushing the book further away just as Simon found and extracted a wind-up skull with a foot toy from Alvin's jacket and then putting it in the box before putting the other monster toys inside the box as one of them, a wind-up eyeball with legs crept out of the box and crawled around.

"My, my.", Simon spoke, not very surprised.

"I-I can explain.", Alvin spoke.

"Of course you can.", Simon responded before turning around to notice the eyeball crawling away and then going over to get it.

"You left me nothing!", Alvin "exclaimed" before the eyeball crawled over to one of Alvin's shoes only to be picked up by Simon before getting out in the box.

"Take off the shoes.", Simon urged before Alvin bent over to take them off with Simon then taking Alvin's cap off to show a wind-up monster teeth into top of his head before it, too, was confiscated along with an apparent assortment of fake spiders and fake snakes from his shoes while Simon put the cap back on Alvin's head before picking up the box and taking his leave.

"Oh, here. You forgot a peace of my heart!", Alvin spoke before Simon closed the door.

Then, when the coast is clear, Alvin's frown turned into a smirk before going over for his book, although checking back first, before then reaching for the book and then opening it before turning a few pages, riddled with interest before noticing a lone page about werewolves which showed a picture of a werewolf howling at the full moon on one page as well as another picture of a werewolf chasing after its victim in another before turning the next page to show a similar cane that Talbot was holding.

"Aha!", Alvin shouted upon spotting it.

A/N: Uh-oh. Amy has the Mark of the Wolf now. You know what that means.
