Episode 41: Sparks Fly for Magnemite
One gloomy night, Hana and her friends arrive at a city that are full of factories that are spewing out smoke. The air is dirty, the water doesn't look very clean either, and there doesn't seem to be a single human or Pokemon in sight. Alistair is looking around the city to see how… spooky it looks.
"This is a really weird city. Lots of factories, but no people or Pokemon!" Hana says.
"I know. This place looks like a ghost town," Akira says.
"This place is called Gringy City," Diana replies, holding the guidebook.
"Gringy? Never heard of it," Hana says, confused.
"It used to be a lively, busy place with all these factories here," Diana says.
Then Chase says, "Yeah, they kinda went overboard with factories. Pollution ruined the air and the water here."
"From the looks of it, there I don't think many Pokemon would want to live here. Except a few Poison Type Pokemon, and I can only think of two that will thrive from it," Hana says.
Next to Hana's Pikachu has some sparks coming from his cheeks and his face is red. Soon, he begins to feel wobbly.
Hana looks down to notice something up with Pikachu, "Pikachu? What's wrong?"
Soon, Pikachu begins to fall.
"Pikachu!" Hana calls out in concern.
Hana is able to catch Pikachu, but is met with an electric shock. Luckily, it's not bothering her. However, unknown to them, they are being watched by a being with a glowing eye.
Soon, Hana and her friends hurry to find the Pokemon Center. Hana has rubber gloves on to protect herself as she carries Pikachu to the center.
"Hold on, Pikachu! We'll get you to the Pokemon Center as soon as we can!" Hana says, worried.
As Hana and her friends rush to the center, they are being spied on by Team Rocket from the sewers. Meowth spies on them to see them running inside the Pokemon.
"That's them, and they're on their way to the Pokemon Center!" Meowth says.
And Jessie and James begin the motto.
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
However, they are unable to finish the motto because of the sewer's smell. They go 'blech,' and start to complain.
"I can't take it anymore! This place stinks!" James whines.
Jessie coughs and says, "Disgusting!"
Meowth is in some small saucer that has a few controls.
Meowth says, "Just chill out and put on the suits I brought ya."
Jessie and James do so and put the suit on.
"This thing pumps in a mixture of oxygen and air freshener," Meowth says, showing them the motor that is plugged in.
Once the suits are on, they sigh in relief, "That smells good."
Then James angrily turns to Meowth, "Why didn't you tell us about these suits before, Meowth?!"
"We could've choked!" Jessie adds with the same expression.
"Quit complaining! I did come up with this ingenious scheme. Now get in the pipe and swim to the Pokemon Center! We're wasting time here!" Meowth says.
However, Jessie disagree with it, "Your plan's stupid! I'm not going in that sewer!"
"I'm one-hundred percent with Jessie on this one! I want to get Pikachu and those other Pokemon as much as you do, but this is humiliating! It's degrading!" James adds
"We won't go through with it, Meowth, so you'll have to so you'll have to go on this mission alone! I'm sorry if this shocks you," Jessie says.
So am I," Meowth says, and presses a button in the sub.
Suddenly, Jessie and James are given an electric shock.
"I knew you'd see things my way," Meowth says.
As a result, Jessie and James dive into the sewer water, against their will.
"You'll pay for this, Meowth," Jessie says.
James asks in disgust, "Why do we always get the dirty work?"
In the Pokemon Center, Hana and her friends rush to the front desk.
Hana rings the bell as she calls out, "Nurse Joy! Nurse Joy, are you there.
Nurse Joy enters and lets out a yawn. Then replies, "Do you all have any idea just what time it is? Don't you know that you should be sleeping now?"
"I'm sorry, but there's something really wrong with my Pikachu. I think he caught a terrible cold," Hana says.
Nurse Joy yawns, "Yes. Your Pikacu has a cold. You see the sparks that are coming from its cheeks, right? That's an early symptom of a cold in electric rodent Pokemon. If you leave it here overnight, I'm sure it'll be fine in the morning."
"Um thank you. You look kind of tired," Hana says.
"Well, it is late," Nurse Joy says.
The group looks at Nurse Joy with confused looks.
Outside in the polluted water, a large group of purple sludge Pokemon known as Grimer emerges from the water. They soon begin to swarm around the water entrance As it turns out, the entrance actually is the water intake valve for the hydroelectric power plant that gives Gringy City electricity. With the Grimer blocking the water intake, the generators lose power, as does the entire city.
"What's that?!" Plant Worker #1 asks.
Plant worker #2 looks at the controls, "Our generator's completely shut down! The water intake valve is totally jammed!
"It can't be!" Plant Worker #1 says, shocked.
Meanwhile in the sewer, the generator begins to lose power as well, and soon Meowth take notice
"Hey! What's going on?! The power supply just went dead!" Meowth panics.
Then Meowth Looks at the water where Jessie and James are, "If the pumps stop working, there's no air. They won't like that.
Soon Meowth begins to panic, "What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?"
Down in the sewer water, Jessie and James are swimming to the Pokemon Center, and it doesn't take long for them to run out of air. Their face begins to turn blue.
Jessie gags and panics, "My air supply!"
James begins to panic when the air runs out.
Back at the Pokemon Center, turns out the power outage is causing a problem there too. In one of the units, there are multiple Pokemon that look like they're asleep, but they're not looking very well at all. Nurse Joy runs in the room with Hana's Pikachu in her arms and wearing gloves. Hana and the others follow to see the shocking sight.
"What happened to these Pokemon?!" Hana asks.
"They're in intensive care. If we don't get the power back soon, well, I just don't want to think about what would happen!" Nurse Joy says, worried.
"Is there anything you can do?" Diana asks.
"I'm afraid I do not know," Nurse Joy says, who is very worried.
"I think she's right. With the power out, there might not be much she can do. Those Pokemon look very sick," Chase says.
"Do you know where the city gets its power?" Akira asks.
"This city is powered by a hydroelectric power plant," Nurse Joy says.
"Then we should go find Officer Jenny as soon as we can," Chase says.
Hana and the others begin to hurry out, but Pikachu reaches out for Hana.
"Pikachu!" (Hana!) Pikachu calls out.
Hana walks to Pikachu and says, "Sorry Pikachu, but you need to stay here and get some rest. We'll be back as soon as the power comes back on."
Hana and her friends hurry out.
"Good luck, everybody," Nurse Joy says, worried.
Soon, the group arrives at the police station and explains to Officer Jenny what's at stake and see if they can call the power plant to find out what's wrong. Jenny does call, but no answer.
"I'm trying to find out, but there's no answer at the power plant!" Jenny says.
"The power must have cut off communications to," Akria suspects.
"But we don't have much time!" Diana says.
"Then we'll have to go to the Power Plant ourselves. We need to save those Pokemon at the Pokemon Center," Hana says.
Chase turns to Jenny, "Can you tell us where the Power Plant is and what it looks like?"
"You can't miss it! It's the big building with the smoke stacks, there," Jenny says, and points them to the direction they need to go.
"Then let's hurry," Hana says.
Suddenly, they hear rustling in the bushes and turn their heads to see Pikachu coming out of it.
"Pikachu!" Hana says, surprised.
Hana rushes to Pikachu and picks him up in her arms, "Pikachu, you should be back at the Pokemon Center. You need to get some rest."
Pikachu shakes his head, "Chu." (No.)
"You don't want to?" Hana says, confused.
"Maybe Pikachu doesn't want you to run into trouble, or worry that we might leave and not come back," Diana replies.
Pikachu nods his head.
"See?" Diana replies.
Hana calmly smiles and says, "Okay. You can come along. But, remember, you gotta take it easy."
Pikachu smiles and nods his head in reply.
Meanwhile, Jessie and James are able to get out of the sewers and are deeply breathing while Meowth holds a calm smile on his face.
"We could've suffocated," Jessie says, still heavily breathing.
"The city has been plunged into darkness by a power failure," Meowth confirms.
"A power failure, is it? I can identify with failure," James comments.
Soon, Meowth sees Hana and her friends running towards the Power Plant.
Meowth says, "There they go! Now we're in luck! We got another chance!"
"For what?" James asks,.
"For finally, once and for all, capturing that pesky Pikachu and the rest of the Pokemon!" Meowth says.
Then turns to his comrades, "Come on, now! Jessie! James! Let's move it!"
Jessie angrily scolds them, "Give us time to rest, Meowth! We nearly drowned in the stinking sewer thanks to your ridiculous plan!"
"Meowth! You nearly killed us, you dimwit!" James adds with anger.
"Guys, don't worry. This time, we got a secret weapon that's Meowth proof," Meowth says with a chuckle.
Meanwhile, Hana and her friends arrive at the Power Plant.
"There's the power plant," Hana says.
"Let's check inside," Chase says.
The group walks to the power plant, and opens the door to it.
"Hello? Is anybody in here?" Hana calls out.
"It looks empty," Chase says.
"If no one's here, we might as well look around, huh?" Diana replies.
The group begins to walk around the Power Plant to give them a clue to what's going on.
"Something's really weird. Why isn't anybody working here?" Akira says.
Chase looks at a map on the wall and says, "It looks like the central control room's down that way."
The group continues to walk down the hall of the Pokemon Center. Unknown to them, something slides past the ventilation shaft. Suddenly, they hear footsteps making Diana shiver.
"Something's following us," Diana nervously says.
"Huh? The place is deserted. Nobody's here," Chase says.
"I know I heard something back there," Diana says.
Suddenly, they begin to hear footsteps themselves.
"Guys, I don't think we're alone here," Hana says.
The group gather together to hear the footsteps coming towards them. So far, there's nothing here. They soon look down to see a cyan blue psyduck with a pale blue bill.
Akira recognizes the Psyduck and says, "Well now, it's been a while, Denisovich."
"Psyduck. Psyduck," (Hi Akira. Hi Alistair.) The blue Psyduck says.
Alistair walks to the Psyduck and days, "Pikachu," (Hi Denisovich."
"Denisovich?" Hana says, confused.
"That's the Psyduch's name. Clearly, it means that Vladimir Horowiz has ended up here as well," Akira says.
Just then, Akira notices how Denisovich is starting to act strange.
Akira says, "I know just the thing."
Akira takes off his backpack and opens it and Winnie pops out of it. She is also holding a cassette player and headphones in her arms.
"Thanks, Winnie," Akira says and takes the cassette player.
He then takes out the binky and says, "And here's your binky."
Akira then slips Winnie's pacifier into her mouth, and the baby Pokemon begins to suck on it. Akira kisses her on the forehead, and the baby Pokemon goes back into the backpack for a nap. Akira then picks up Denisovich and places the headphones on his head. Then places play on the music player. Soon, the Psyduck calms down.
"There we go. Just what the doctor ordered," Akira says.
Diana, Hana, and Chase are amazed.
"Akira, you know this Psyduck?" Diana asks.
"Yeah. His name is Denisovich. He belongs to a man named Vladimir Horowitz. He's actually an old friend of mine."
"If he's your friend then that means he and this Psyduck came from your world, but how did he get here?" Chase replies.
"Probably the same way Chloé did," Akira says.
"Yeah. I remember," Hana says.
But realizes, "But wait a minute, what's the little guy doing in the Power Plant?"
Suddenly, Hana's Psyduck comes out of his Pokeball on his own.
"Psyduck?" Hana says, confused, and picks up her Psyduck.
The two Pikachus look at each other with confused looks.
Diana asks, "Hey Akira, why did you give Denisovich the cassette player and put headphones on it?"
"You mean my Walkman? Simple. The music from the cassette, mostly spa music, is meant to calm Denisovich's nerves, this puts his headache to a temporary end," Akira says.
The three become a bit confused.
Hana soon realizes, "Basically… Denisovich is listening to this spa music on your… Walkman… so that his head doesn't you know… cause an explosion… and kill us."
"Exactly," Akira says.
"Psyduck! (Da!) Denisovich answers.
"But why is he here alone?" Hana asks.
"I don't know, but if Denisovich is here, then Vladimir is here too," Akira says.
Suddenly, Diana begins to get scared, "Um guys, I… I think we're not alone here?"
"Why's that?" Akira asks.
"Because… I-I-I rhino there's someone or something standing… behind me," Diana nervously says.
The group becomes tense as they turn around to hear something. Akira walks past Diana and holds out his gun.
Akira points it down the hall, "Alright you. Whoever you are, you're outnumbered. Come out and show yourself.
The group quickly gets behind Akira in fright. They soon see someone walking past the corner and see a tall man with a muscular appearance, a long thick white beard. He wears a white lab coat along with a navy polo shirt, brown pants, and black sneakers. Akira recognizes him, thus lowering his weapon.
"No way! Vladimir Horowitz, is that you?" Akira asks with a smile.
"Akira, is that you? And little Alistair. I haven't seen you in a while. Not since I've ended up here," The man, Vladimir says and places his hand on Akira's shoulder.
"Welcome to the club," Akira comments.
Then holds up Denisovich, "Here, I think this is yours."
"So this is where you went off to, Denisovich. I was looking for him," Vladimir says.
And says, "Thank you."
"More like he found us," Hana says.
Vladimir turns his head to see Hana and the other.
He smiles and says, "Og, hello children, it's nice to meet you."
"Are they friends of yours, Akira?" He asks.
"Yeah. They're kids I met in this world. They're also helping me," Akira says.
"Hi, my name is Hana. This is my Pikachu, and well, this is my Psyduck," Hana says.
"I'm Diana," Diana says.
"And I'm Chase. So, what brings you here?" Chase replies.
"Well… I'm hiding from that wretched Team Rocket," Bladimir says.
"So you're not the only one who got caught by Team Rocket?" Hana asks.
"And were able to escape from them?" Diana replies.
"Indeed. Two more have escaped. Chloé LeBeau, and Teddy McFinnigan," Vladimir says.
"Teddy McFinnigan?" Ireland's top scientist who was able to perfect the art of electromag suspension by building into a Mercedes-Bens? The Teddy McFinnigan?" Akira asks, shocked.
"Ireland?" Hana says, confused.
Confused, Diana says, "Mercedes-Benz?"
"Something tells me that there is still one more who was able to escape from Team Rocket," Chase says.
Hana turns to Akira, "Akira, how many scientists are missing from your world?"
"Apparently… a total of five. Vladimir, Chloé, Teddy, and two more,"Akira says.
"Also… what are Ireland and Mercedes-Benz?" Chase asks.
"Ireland, that's a country in my world. As for Mercedes-Benz, that's a car brand," Akira says.
"So it;s a car company or something?" Diana asks.
Suddenly, something sneaks behind Alistair and Pikachu and the two begin to panic.
Akira asks, "Alistair, Pikachu, what's wrong?"
They said something about something is behind them?" Hana asks.
"Behind them?" Chase and Diana ask, scared.
The group turns around and sees three figures. They all begin to panic in fright. Soon, they end up seeing three Pokemon. The three robotic Pokémon that have gray, spherical metal bodies with blue-and-red tipped horseshoe magnets on each side and a single, large eye. They have three Phillips head screws on its body: two near the bottom of its body and the one on top of their head that looks similar to an antenna.
"Oh mama," Akira comments.
"Magnemites?" Hana says, confused.
Diana brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says, "Magnemite, a Magnet Pokemon. It's means of floating through the air are not understood. This very mysterious Pokemon is of the electric type."
"What are three Magnemites doing here?" Hana asks, confused.
"You think they caused the power outage?" Diana asks.
"Those three by themselves? No way," Chase says.
Akira brings out his backpack, "Alistair, get inside my backpack, and be careful. Winnie is taking a nap."
Alistair nods his head and hurries inside. Suddenly, one of the Magnimites begins to float next to it while the other two circle around Pikachu.
"What are those Magnemite doing?" Chase asks.
"They're circling around Pikachu, almost like they like him or something," Diana says.
Akira then notices the blushing on their faces, "Guys, is it me, or are those Magnimite blushing."
"Like they're in love or something?" Diana says, confused.
"That doesn't seem possible, "Magnemite is an inorganic Pokemon, and Pikachu is an electric mouse," Hana says.
"Whatever the reason. Those two seem to really like Pikachu," Diana says.
Soon Pikachu begins circling around Hana and the two Maginmite chase after him.
"Yeah, but Pikachu doesn't like it at all," Hana says.
Then calls out, "Hey Magnemites, cut it out!"
Soon, the two Magnimites stop followingPikachu and go in a different direction. The third one leaves as well. Soon, Pikachu hugs Hana's leg and Hana picks him up with her other arm. Suddenly, Akira begins to hold his nose in disgust.
He then asks, "Did you guys smell that?"
"I know I do," Vladimir says.
"So do I," Diana says, feeling sick.
"Me too," Chase adds.
"I do too," Hana says.
Suddenly, the vent gate falls to the ground and two purple sludge blob Pokemon known as Grimer, and soon a large group of them appear at the scene.
Akira exclaims, "Grimer!
"And a whole bunch of them," Hana adds.
Diana covers her nose, "They stink!"
Diana brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says, "Grimer, a Sludge Pokemon. Born from sludge, these Pokemon specialize in sludge attacks."
"The Magnemite must have disappeared because of them," Chase says.
"All I know is that it's best not to insult them," Akira says.
Then Vladimir says, "We had to learn the hard way that Grimer really hates it when someone insults them for their smell."
"I know. It's never good to insult their Pokemon pride or make them mad. Goes for any Pokemon for that matter," Hana says.
Diana then screams, "You can say what you want, but it still stinks!"
"Diana!" Akira exclaims.
Suddenly, all the Grimer begin to feel insulted.
Hana says, "The Grimer says that we're not going to let these humans insult us."
"This is bad," Chase says.
Then a giant version of Grimer appears.
"A Muk? I remember finding those when investigating at the Landschaftspark Nord in Germany," Akira says, shocked.
"This is bad. Muk's body contains poison, and this one looks like the leader of this bunch," Hana says.
Akira then calls out, "My advice? RUN!"
Then Much shouts, "Muuuuk!" (Charge!)
The Gimer begin to charge as Hana and the others panic and run away screaming.
"Why did you have to open your mouth and make them mad, Diana?" Hana panics.
"I had to open my mouth! I couldn't use my nose!" Diana panics.
Suddenly, they begin to hear crying and Akira turns his head to see that it's coming from his backpack.
Akira groans, "Ah great! You guys just had to wake Winnie up!"
The group is able to lose the Grimer as Akira takes his backpack and takes Winnie out of it. Alistair reminds her in the backpack as Akira puts it back on and has Winnie place against his chest so he can comfort her.
"She's going to be more scared if those Grimer catches us," Hana says.
That's when they run inside the worker of the Power Plant.
Worker #1 asks, "What are you doing here?"
"Will you two keep it down? I'm trying to get my daughter to calm down. That, and we're here to investigate the power outage around Gringy city," Akira says, trying to remain calm.
Akira continues to rock Winnie as she continues to cry.
"And the Grimer are after us," Diana adds.
"And I think they're the ones who caused the blackout somehow?" Hana suspects.
Akira takes off his backpack again and searches for something.
"Is this really the time Akira?" Hana asks.
"I'm sorry Hana. Winnie probably wants her binky," Akira says.
Winnie whimpers and nods her head.
"Make sense. She's still a little baby," Diana says.
"And like Pikachu and Alistair, Winnie doesn't like being in a Pokeball," Hana says.
Akira continues to search in his backpack until he finds the pacifier.
"Perfect. There you go, Winnie," Akira says, giving Winnie the pacifier.
Winnie accepts her pacifier and starts to suckle on it directly, calling her down little by little.
"That should do it," Akira says.
Then asks Winnie with a smile, "Feeling better?"
Winnie nods her head. Akira then kisses her on the forehead and brings out a baby carrier. Then attach it to him and place Winnie in it.
The Worker #2, "Uh… is she really your daughter, sir?"
"Adopted relationship," Akira says.
"Yeah. As long as Winnie thinks of him as a daddy. That's all that matters," Hana says.
Suddenly, the Grimer appears around the corner and makes everyone panic.
"They found us!" Hana panics.
Worker #1 calls out, "Quick! This way!"
Everyone continues to run for their lives as the Grimer chase after them. Soon, they hurry into the control room as Vladimir and Chase block the door.
Hana turns to the workers and asks, "Do you know what happened to the power? This blackout has been a disaster, and causing trouble for the city! Lots of Pokemon will die if the power doesn't come back on!"
Back at the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy keep watching over the sick Pokemon
"Hang in there. Those trainers are gonna get the power back on real soon, I'm sure. At least, I hope so," Nurse Joy says, worried.
Back in the control room of the Power Plant.
"They need that power!" Hana says.
Plant worker #1 says, "But, we can't."
"How come?" Hana asks.
Plant worker #1 answers, "There are so many Grimer, that they're blocking the sea water intake."
Plant worker #2 adds, "We've got to bring the water to a boil, so that it can turn the turbines, or the generator won't work at all."
"In other words, this can't run on power unless we get rid of the Grimer," Hana says.
"But how?" Diana asks.
Suddenly, they hear Chase call out, "Hey guys!" The Grimer are, ramming the door! I can't hold it!"
Indeed, one by one, Muk commands the Grimer to ram at the door. Hana, and the others quickly hold on to the door. Alistair soon leaves the backpack and stands next to Pikachu and Psyduck.
Akira says, "Alistair, get ready to kick some Grimer butt in case we can't hold them off."
Alistair gets ready to fight and the same goes for Pikachu and Psyduck.
"Be careful Pikachu, you're still stuck and try not to use your energy too much. Psyduck, try to help," Hana says.
Diana panics, "If we don't do something, we'll be on the Muk menu!"
Just then, Akira notices Alistiar is starting to feel weak, and has the same expression as Pikachu.
"Alistair!" Akira says, concern.
Akira hurries to Alistair and takes him in his arms. Akira examines Alistair and it looks like he has the same condition.
"Not you too, Alistair," Akira says, worried.
"What's wrong?" Hana asks.
"It's Alistair! He's coming down with the cold too," Akira says.
"Oh no! Poor Alistair!" Diana says, worried.
Unable to hold the door, the Grimer is able to burst inside and begin to surround them with anger.
"Here they come?" Chase panics.
Plant worker #1 turns to the trainers, "You all are Pokemon trainers, right? You've gotta use your Pokemon to help us out!"
That's right! If you can get rid of the Grimer, the generator will work Plant worker #2 adds.
"What do you expect us to do? Pikachu is sick! Alistair is now catching this cold, and we're outnumbered," Hana says.
"Wait a second. I have an idea," Akira says.
"What's your idea?" Hana asks.
"We use a substitute for Piakchu and Alistair. I'm thinking Clarissa," Akira says.
"That might work. I haven't seen her in a while," Vladimir says.
"Maybe some of our Pokemon can help," Diana says.
"I think I can get my brother and sister to help. Poison types like Grimer and Muk are weak against Ground and Psychic type Pokemon," Hana says.
The Grimer and Muk begin to surround the group and there doesn't seem to be the end of it. Suddenly, coming out the ventilation shaft, the three Magnimite along with others, and a few other Pokemon known as Magneton arrive and defend Hana and her friends.
"Magnemite and their evolved form, Magneton!" Chase says, surprised.
The Magnemite and Magneton use Thundershock against the Grimer, and soon chase them all away. The magnetic Pokemon continue to use their attacks at the Grimer, even the one blocking the water. Soon, the water travels to the generator and the Power Plant begins to run again. Everyone is glad.
"The lights are on!" Diana says.
Plant worker #2 works on the control, "The turbine's moving again!"
The Grimer have all cleared away from the sea water intake valve!" Plant worker #1 adds
"Yes!" Hana cheers.
"Yeah, but we still have one left, Chase says.
"The group looks to see Muk is the only one left.
"It's the Muk," Hana says.
Hana turns to Pikachu, "Pikachu, Thunder Shock!"
Pikachu uses thunder shock on it, but it's proven stronger. Just then one of the Magnemites shows up.
Hana understands and says, "Pikachu. Magnemite. Use Thunder Shock!"
Magnimite and Pikachu begin to use their Thunderbolt on Muk with all their might. Soon, Muk passed out.
Hana grabs her Pokeball and calls out, "Alright! Pokeball, go!"
Hana throws her Pokeball and it hits Muk. Soon, Muk goes into the Pokeball. The Pokeball shakes a little until it clicks. Soon, Muk has been caught.
Hana picks up the Pokeball and says, "Alright. I capture Muk."
Hana turns her head to see everyone stepping back, "What's wrong?"
Hana sees everyone cover their nose.
The next day outside the factory, Hana has the Pokeball held out in her hand
She covers her nose and says, "The smell comes through the Pokeball. I knew Muk and Grimer's smell is strong, never thought it was this strong."
Everyone begins to laugh.
"That's the bad news. But the good news is Pikachu's one-hundred percent better. Well, Alistair is only a little sick," Diana says.
"That's right! Pikachu was sick until just a little while ago," Chase says.
Plant worker #2 says, "If an electric mouse builds up too much electricity, its body becomes magnetized, and it seems like it has a cold.
"Wow. We all sure owe a big thank you to Magnemite, here. Don't we?" Hana says, looking at the three Magnemite.
They lower themselves to Pikachu, but when Pikachu tries to get close, only two move away.
"Hey! Until just a minute ago, those two Magnemite were obsessed with Pikachu," Diana says, confused.
"What's going on? Now they're completely ignoring Pikachu. Well, except for one," Hana says.
"Maybe Magnemite fall in and out of love just like humans do," Chase wonders.
Plant worker #2 suspects, "Could Magnemite have fallen in love at first sight because Pikachu's body was magnetized?"
Plant worker #1 says, "That must be the reason. Animals are attracted to other animals by scent, so Magnemite are attracted to other Pokemon by their magnetic force. Because Pikachu had built up so much magnetic force, it must've been very attracted to that Magnemite."
"Oh," Diana replies.
Then Chase says, "I get it. After Pikachu ran out of electricity, it was no longer magnetized. That's why Magnemite isn't interested in Pikachu anymore."
"It's a good thing, huh, Pikachu? They won't follow you around anymore," Hana says with a smile
"Chu!" (Yeah!) Pikachu says.
The two Magnimites leave Pikachu while the third floats To Hana.
"What is it, Magnemite?" Hana says.
Magnimite then closes its eye and leans to Hana, almost like it's happy.
Diana suspects, "Hana, I think this Magnemite wants to be yours."
"Really? You want to come with us?" Hana asks.
Magnemite answers, "Magnemite," (I do.)
"Well then, how can I refuse," Hana says, bringing out another Pokeball.
She taps it onto Magnemite and it goes inside her Pokeball. The Pokeball clicks instantly.
"Well, first you caught Muk, and now Magnemite," Chase says.
The group begin to giggle with smiles on their faces.
Unknown to them, Team Rocket is spying on them from their Gyarados shaped submarine. Meowth looks through the periscope to see them in their sight.
"We got em now!" Meowth says.
"Now, the fun begins, with our new secret weapon!"
"Now that Pikachu is magnetized, our plan is to take this high powered electro-magnet and.." James says.
Then they both say, "Finally capture Pikachu!"
"Come on! Let's just catch Pikachu!" Meowth says.
Jessie says, annoyed, "Why don't you keep your snide remarks to yourself?"
"That's right!" James says, and presses the button.
The button soon activates the magnet. Suddenly, they hear loud clanking sounds.
That sounds strange. As it turns out, instead of capturing Pikachu, they ended up capturing the Magnemite and Magneton.
Jessie says, worried, "That sounds strange."
"Certainly does," James agrees.
"Yeah," Meowth says.
Soon, more and more of the magnet Pokemon are pulled by the magnet. In fact, there were so many that it sank the submarine.
Team Rocket screams, "Team Rocket's splashing off again!"
The large splash ends up catching everyone's attention.
"What was that?" Diana.
"I don't know. I thought I heard Team Rocket," Chase says.
"Maybe," Hana says.
Hana looks around and wonders, "Hold on. Where are Akira and Vladimir?"
Akira and Vladimir are discussing something a short distance away. Enough so no one can hear.
"So, Vlad... what are Team Rocket up to, anyway? I mean, you must have heard rumors on what they are planning," Akira asks.
"All I know is that they were trying to build a portal to travel through the multiverse," Vladimir says.
Akira raises an eyebrow, "Is that so? What else did you hear?"
"That they are determined to target our world first," Vladimir says.
Akira is shocked, "What? Why our world?"
"I am afraid I do not know. They have big plans," Vladimir says.
"My guess is that Giovanni is planning to take over the multiverse or something," Akira says.
Vladimir says, "I was thinking the same thing. Sadly, I don't fully know their entire plan."
Akria then says, "Anyway, Vlad, here's the sitch. Both of us, along with other scientists, are stuck in another dimension, completely unknown to us. Unknown resources... unknown supplies, besides our stuff... no apparent way home. Well... a lesser being would go insane, just by thinking of it. You and me... I believe that someone here in this region will have the necessary tech to get us back to our dimension. One thing's for certain, Vladimir Horowitz. If this journey goes right for us... we'll be home by Christmas."
"Well then, I wish you and your friends the best of luck," Vladimir says.
Soon, Hana and the others arrive at the Pokemon Center. Hana and the others are ready to head off while Vladimir and Denisovich decide to stay at Gringy City. Luckily, all the Pokemon are better now.
"All those Grimer here just prove that the ocean's totally polluted. You guys gotta clean up the sea around here. I know you can do it," Hana says.
"You're right, Hana. We'll do everything we can to make sure that the ocean is really clean again," Jenny says.
"If you clean up the air, and the water, you may just bring this place back to life," Chase says.
"Thank you. You all worked so hard to make sure all these Pokemon survive, you've inspired me to become a better nurse," Joy says.
Jenny salutes, "We salute all of your fine work."
"Thanks. That's very nice of you. Anyway, try to make your city clean," Hana says.
"And hope you and I can stay in touch Vladimir," Akira says.
"I sure will, I hope you'll all come back again to visit soon," Vladimir says.
Hana and her friends leave Gringy City with big smiles. Vladimir and Denisovich have goodbye to Akira and his friends as he wishes them the best of luck.
Meanwhile in Professor Oak's lab, the professor receives one Pokeball from Hana, and another one is coming up.
Professor Oak laughs and says, "It's been quite a while since Hana sent me a new Pokemon. I wonder what she's captured this time."
Just then, both Pokeball opens, and soon an order reaches his nose.
"What is that smell?!" Professor Oak exclaims, covering his nose.
Soon, Muk and Magnimite materialized from their Pokeballs.
Professor Oak exclaims, "What's the idea of sending me a Muk?! Yuck!"
